This dissertation presents an exploratory literature review aligned with the inductive method, related to future trends in urban mobility and their impact on modern cities. With rapid population growth and the environmental challenges faced by urban areas, mobility has become one of the most pressing topics of today. The mobility sector is one of society's most significant components and addresses the inherent need to move people and goods. The research focused on identifying and analyzing the main emerging trends in urban mobility, including the rise of electric vehicles, the integration of multimodal transportation systems, the use of smart technologies, and the growing relevance of sustainability and inclusion. The main conclusions of this study highlight the commitment of public policies to sustainable mobility, through the promotion of public transport and multimodality. The identified trends point to a future where urban mobility is more efficient, accessible, and sustainable, benefiting both urban residents and the environment. Design was also highlighted as a multidisciplinary discipline that influences the design of cities regarding the requalification of urban spaces and the adaptation of transportation systems, promoting the quality of life and efficiency in citizens' daily lives.
