This case study is part of the research project "Creating Indigenous Women's Green Jobs under Low-Carbon COVID-19 Response and Recovery in the Bolivian Quinoa Sector). I estimate the carbon footprint associated with the quinoa production in southern Bolivia based on primary information of 19 plots. Using a cradle-to-gate life cycle analysis approach, under the ISO 14067 standard, and analyzing various emission sources through the Cool Farm Tool, I determine that the carbon footprint generates an average of 741 .7 kg CO2e per plot; and an average of 267.4 kg CO2e per hectare. The main emission sources identified are the use of organic fertilizer (54%), the consumption of fossil fuels (35%) and the use of protection inputs (8%). Considering the declared unit of 1 kg of harvested quinoa, I obtain the carbon footprint results per product, with values ranging between 0.3 and 2.3 kg CO2e/kg of quinoa and an average of 0.98 kg CO2e/ kg of quinoa.

[EN] We are facing one of the main environmental challenges known as "Climate Change," and for several decades, the report "The Limits to Growth" (Meadows et al., 1972) demonstrated that we had limits to growth. It detailed that if we continued to act the same way, we were on the brink of an ecological collapse, emphasizing that the planet is finite, as are its natural resources. Currently, society uses energy for a wide range of activities, from daily consumption to fundamental systems like food production and water management. Furthermore, in recent years, there has been a growing societal awareness of energy efficiency. In this context, both national and international organizations and institutions are compelled to respond, aiming to transform the current energy model into a more sustainable one. It is crucial to note that the COVID-19 pandemic had a significant impact on the global economy throughout 2020 and subsequent years, severely affecting the Valencian Community. This impact resulted in thousands of deaths and health issues for hundreds of individuals. Additionally, the World Energy Outlook report highlights that "COVID-19 has caused more disruptions in the energy sector than any other recent event." Similarly, it is necessary to mention the Russo-Ukrainian war that began in February 2022 and continues to this day, primarily resulting in loss of human lives and crises in food and energy production, among other issues. In this scenario, the Generalitat Valenciana (GVA) formulated the "Institutional Agreement for the Reconstruction of the Valencian Community" (ALCEM-NOS) in July 2020, coordinated by the Social Dialogue Committee of the Generalitat of Valencia. This agreement aimed to establish guidelines for addressing the effects generated by the health crisis and, on the other hand, laying the foundation for social, economic, and environmental recovery. Finally, it is worth noting that this work is derived from the ALCEM-NOS document, specifically from the Green Policies working group. This group focused on the strategic line of renewable energies, highlighting the current capacity for renewable energy generation in the Valencian Community. It emphasized the importance of citizen participation in the implementation of sustainable policies to address climate change and achieve human and environmental development. This work aims to analyze the public perception of renewable energy policies and identify the main barriers citizens encounter when adopting this technology, especially solar photovoltaics. To achieve this goal, a methodology was employed that included various techniques such as surveys and interviews with key figures in the field of energy. The public opinion gathered in this study will be a crucial element in advocating for governments to reduce the use of fossil fuels and promote the adoption of renewable energies.

Their communication has grown on social media in the wake of COVID-19, with climate awareness promoting change with in-home micro-actions. This research focuses on the tiktokers that publish in Spanish, with the hashtag #sostenibilidad, and which are the most important two years after the official declaration of the pandemic (11 March 2022). The fundamental hypothesis is that micro-actions, in these audio-visual pills or short videos, can be the beginning of a new way of raising environmental awareness in social networks. The methodology contains four correlative steps: search for hashtags, quantitative analysis in TikTok, search for the 10 most successful and engaged accounts, and their descriptive content analysis. The results show that the 10 most successful accounts are female and only 3 of these creators have more than 100,000 followers, although 6 of them have more than 1 million "Likes". They are young, get high engagement rates, higher than Instagram and Twitter, and prove that you can be an influencer without being on several social networks at the same time.
