The Internet of Things (IoT) is an enabling paradigm for Industry 4.0, where sensors and actuators connect to the Internet. The protocol LoRaWAN (Long Range Area Network) is one of the most used in the IoT, and its primary objective is to transmit sensor information over long distances with minimal energy consumption. This protocol implements Adaptive Data Rate scheme to optimize the energy consumed per node, which, when evaluated through exhaustive simulations in Omnet ++, has exhibited opportunities for improvement in convergence time. The present work shows machine learning models based on parametric and non-parametric methods based on Support Vector Machines (SVM) and Artificial Neural Networks (ANN). The results indicate that the SVM and ANN methods have a success rate greater than 90% in the estimated parameters. © 2020, Associacao Iberica de Sistemas e Tecnologias de Informacao. The production of activated carbon from residual biomass generated in the production of oil palm, fiber (F) and shell (C) was studied. The chemical activation was done using ZnCl2 and the adsorption capacity of methylene blue (AM) at different concentrations (50, 100, and 150 mg/L) was evaluated. Results showed a good development of pore with surface areas of 835.3 m2/g for activated fiber (FA) and 575.1 m2/g for activated shell (CA). A good fit of the experimental data with the pseudo second order kinetic model and with Langmuir and Freundlich isotherms models was found. In addition, maximum adsorption capacities of 763.4 and 724.6 mg/g for FA and CA were found, respectively. © 2017, Universidad Nacional de Colombia. All rights reserved.

; A sustainable environment has become increasingly important for human beings due to the climate crisis and the increase of GHG. In Peru, renewable energy projects have been developed for more than 10 years, with the installation of photovoltaic systems, wind power plants among other types of RE, but they are not enough, since most of these large-scale projects are concentrated on the coast. The objective of this project is to evaluate the potential of solar energy in the district of Junin ...

Fil: Guntero, Vanina Alejandra. ; In this work, we study the synthesis of chemical ligands with antioxidant properties and ability to act as chemical sensors of inorganic cations in liquid medium, and their possibilty to sopported these ligands on nano and mesoporous materials. For further information contact us at helpdesk@openaire.eudescription Publicationkeyboard_double_arrow_right Doctoral thesis ArgentinaFil: Duarte, Hernan Antonio. ; Hydrogen has great potential as an energetic vector due to the environmental benefits derived from its use in replacement of fossil fuels. However, for its use to be truly sustainable, the production method must be neutral in terms of the generation of carbon dioxide. In this thesis we studied the selective production of hydrogen from oxygenated compounds derived from biomass. The study of the influence of the platinum content on supported catalysts on gamma alumina used in reforming in the aqueous phase of polyols showed that the higher the metal content, the higher the productivities of hydrogen. Conversion of xylitol and sorbitol was almost complete at low spatial speeds and decreased as expected with increasing space velocity, while productivity showed a maximum. This maximum can be explained taking into account that productivity is related to performance and spatial velocity. Performance decreases as space velocity increases, so that an optimum space velocity can exist to maximize productivity. The size of the reactant molecule also influences the yield. With xylitol higher yields were obtained while with sorbitol because longer chain reagents imply a greater complexity of the reaction system. When the concentration of the polyol was increased, the total conversion and conversion to liquid products increased while conversion to gaseous products and hydrogen selectivity decreased; performance and productivity showed no variation.

Anexos 111 ; During the 2010s, the home automation development and proliferation, has involved technologies aplications such as the cloud computing and internet of things(IoT), allowing to implement quality developments in this sector. For the present work a proposal has been exposed, for the design and development of home automation system witch makes uses of Wireless devices that comunícate with each other. The collected information from the differents sensors was stored in a data managment system, that was used in the diferents variables for their handling and monitoring in the house, in order to guarantee security and evaluate the energy consumption.likewise, an Android aplication was developed, allowing the turn on and turn off of home appliances, observe and manipulate enviroment variables, like the luminosity and temperatura , since real-time surveillance devices, highlighting the articulation of a camera for live video transmission and image capture with persons recognition, witch is subsequently consulted or stored in cloud database. One of the distinguishable contributions from this Project , in addition to those disscused above, results in the fact that using big data and artificial intelligence concepts , an evaluation for the users energy comsuption was achieved, bassed in the different variables that in those incur, so that was possible do a wasted energy estimation with certain behaviors. ; Pregrado ; Pregrado
