De igual forma, se analiza los beneficios para el medio ambiente y por ende el mejoramiento de la calidad de vida y la prevención de enfermedades futuras, a partir de la disminución en el consumo de energía. Así mismo, a través de esta investigación se plantea el uso de recursos de domótica, el Internet de las cosas y las TIC como alternativa para el ahorro de energía eléctrica en los hogares colombianos, teniendo en cuenta el costo-beneficio de la implementación de los mismos. This research focuses on understanding the habits of electricity consumption in Colombian homes, in order to generate strategies that allow promoting energy saving practices and routines, a benefit for the families' economy. In the same way, the benefits for the environment are analyzed and therefore the improvement of the quality of life and the prevention of future diseases, from the decrease in energy consumption. Likewise, through this research, the use of home automation resources, the Internet of things and ICTs is proposed as an alternative for saving electricity in Colombian homes, taking into account the cost-benefit of the implementation of the themselves.
