De la investigación desarrollada se desprende que el sector de la minería del país ha venido creciendo con un dinamismo que supera al crecimiento en términos reales de las industrias de extracción de petróleo crudo. Igual dinamismo se observa en las exportaciones de oro al punto de constituirse en el cuarto producto de exportación en 2012.

K; Cavieres, Lohengrin;Los efectos del cambio climático sobre la biodiversidad ocurren a diferentes niveles de organización (organismos, especies y ecosistemas). La vegetación se encuentra relacionada directamente con el clima, por lo que se espera que el calentamiento global altere la distribución de los tipos de vegetación para el futuro cercano. Usando un enfoque de envoltura bioclimática, los tipos de vegetación de Chile fueron modelados y proyectados usando escenarios del IPCC para el año 2080. Los resultados presentan diferentes transiciones entre los tipos de vegetación, en relación a su distribución latitudinal y altitudinal actual. Entre los cambios principales, se identifica el avance altitudinal de la vegetación alpina, la expansión hacia el sur del desierto absoluto y del matorral desértico sobre el bosque escleróflo. Se esperan cambios en la representación relativa de las áreas protegidas dentro de los diferentes tipos de vegetación de Chile. Las limitaciones del ejercicio de modelación son discutidas junto a la necesidad de mejorar el conocimiento científico sobre procesos biológicos claves como dispersión y polinización. Climate change effects on biodiversity occur at different level of organization (organisms, species and ecosystems). Vegetation type bears a close relationship with climate, such that global warming is ex-pected to alter the distribution of major vegetation types in the near future. Using a bioclimatic envelope modeling approach, the major vegetation types of Chile were modeled and projected using IPCC scenarios for year 2080. The results show transitions among vegetation types in relation to their current latitudinal and altitudinal distribution. Major changes include an upward shift of the alpine vegetation and southward expansion of absolute desert and desert scrub into the present area of sclerophyllous forest. Changes in the relative representation of different vegetation types in Chile´s protected areas can be expected. The limitations of modeling exercises are discussed along with need for better scientific knowledge on key biological processes such as dispersal and pollination.

Sin embargo en la elección de la cocina de inducción o GLP, por parte del ciudadano, además de los factores económicos intervienen también criterios o factores que caen dentro de la subjetividad; Es decir intervienen múltiples criterios. El presente artículo aporta con un método de apoyo que sugiere al usuario una posible mejor opción, teniendo en cuenta criterios tanto cuantitativos como cualitativos. Además se analizan posibles escenarios y su impacto en la decisión final. Abstract The Ecuadorian Government has been proposed to introduce in a massive scale in the national market, the use of Induction Stoves as a replacement of the LPG Stove (liquefied Petroleum Gas). Nevertheless, when choosing the induction stove, by the citizens, in addition to economic factors other factors could be taken into consideration, but they could fall into subjectivism. In other words, multiple criteria should be also considered. This article contributes with a method of support that suggests the user a possible best option, taking into account qualitative and quantitative criteria as well. Possible scenarios are also analyzed and also their impact in the final decision.

Este art��culo tiene como objetivo obtener una percepci��n de las caracter��sticas de estas empresas, determinando sus fortalezas y debilidades y de esta manera hacer propuestas que eliminen o mitiguen los obst��culos y elevar la eficiencia en cada caso. Entre los resultados que se destacaron est�� que existe consenso de la importancia de los emprendimientos por la empleabilidad y los servicios que recibe la poblaci��n. Abstract Most of the entrepreneurship are made up of small businesses and microenterprises that have a high representation in Los R��os province, Ecuador, on which many families depend to take their livelihoods home, in addition to contributing to services and supplies in each canton. This article aims to obtain a perception of the characteristics of these companies, determining their strengths and weaknesses and thus make proposals that eliminate or mitigate obstacles and increase efficiency in each case. Among the results that stood out is that there is consensus on the importance of entrepreneurship for the employability and services that the population receives. Para combatir el cambio climático, es necesario promover la disminución de las emisiones de los GEl, con la utilización de energía limpia, disminuyendo el uso de combustibles fósiles. Con este propósito se acordó en el Protocolo de Kyoto el Mecanismo de desarrollo Limpio (MOL). La actual situación de suministro energético en Chile hace necesario diversificar la matriz energética, para esto se ha optado por el estímulo al desarrollo de las Energías Renovables No Convencionales (ERNC). En el Sur de Chile una actividad que contribuye a la contaminación es la ganadería lechera, a través de la emisión de metano y de los desechos orgánicos, los que al utilizarlos como biomasa (ERNC) se obtiene biogás, con el cual se puede generar energía eléctrica y térmica por medio de la cogeneración. El Objetivo General de este trabajo es "determinar en qué consiste la utilización del biogás para la cogeneración de energía en un predio lechero". La metodología utilizada se basa en una investigación cualitativa, recogiendo material vía internet, revistas y documentos de casos de plantas de generación de biogás y cogeneración de energía, apuntes propios de la "VIl Conferencia Ambiental" (ExpoAmbiental 2009), también se utilizó información de libros en cuanto a Gestión Ambiental y Agronomía entre otros. The increased emissions of greenhouse gases (GHGs) have caused a global rise of the temperature. The impacts generated by this phenomenon are of great importance in all areas. To combat climate change is necessary to promote the reduction of GHG emissions, using clean energy and reducing the use of fossil fuel. For this purpose was agreed under the Kyoto Protocol the Clean Development Mechanism (CDM). Because of the current situation of energy supply in Chile it is necessary to diversify the energy matrix, to achive this objetive has been chosen a path that encourages the development of Non-Conventional Renewable Energies (NCRE). The dairy farming from the South of Chile is an activity that contributes to pollution through the emission of methane and organic waste. Which by their use as biomass (NCRE) can be converted on biogas to generate electrical and heat power through cogeneration. The main objective of this work is to "determine the use of biogas for energy cogeneration in a dairy farm". The used methodology is based on qualitative research, collecting material via Internet, magazines and documents about cases of biogas generation plants and power cogeneration, own notes about the 'VIl Environmental Conference (ExpoAmbiental 2009), and information from books about Environmental Management and Agronomy.

Las microalgas fueron expuestas a diferentes concentraciones de fenantreno (0, 1, 10, 100, 1000 y 10000 µg/l). El tiempo de exposición fue de 72 h, determinándose diariamente la densidad algal mediante recuento en cámara de Neubauer. Se determinó la tasa promedio de crecimiento, la biomasa total y el porcentaje de inhibición de la biomasa. También se evaluó el contenido de clorofila a, al inicio y final del experimento. Los ensayos fueron realizados en recipientes de vidrio de 0,4 l, utilizando como medio de cultivo fertilizante inorgánico del complejo NPK (REMITAL® m - 17-6-18) a razón de 1 g/l. Los resultados mostraron que el fenantreno inhibió progresivamente el crecimiento de la microalga, observándose el menor crecimiento celular en el medio con la mayor concentración de fenantreno, el cual alcanzó un porcentaje de inhibición del crecimiento del 59 %. Las tasas de crecimiento diario se mantuvieron relativamente constantes en los demás tratamientos. La concentración de clorofila a, medida mediante espectrofotometría, no se afectó por las diferentes concentraciones del hidrocarburo. En conclusión, el crecimiento de la microalga C. vulgaris puede afectarse negativamente por la exposición a concentraciones nominales superiores a 1 µg/l de fenantreno. The effects of the polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon phenanthrene on the growth of Chlorella vulgaris alga were evaluated under laboratory conditions. The algae were exposed during 72 h to different concentrations of phenanthrene (0, 1, 10, 100, 1000 and 10000 µg/l). The alga density was daily determined by a Neubauer chamber. The average growth average, total biomass and inhibition percentage of the biomass were also determined. In addition, the content of chlorophyll a was determined at the beginning and the end of the experiment. The assays were carried out in glass bottles of 0,4 l using the complex NPK (REMITAL® m - 17-6-18) at 1 g/l as an organic fertilizing. The results showed that phenanthrene inhibited progressively the alga growth being the lowest cellular growth observed in the medium with the highest phenanthrene concentration, reaching an inhibition percentage of 59 %. In the other treatments, the daily growth rate was relatively constant. The chlorophyll a concentration evaluated by spectrophotometry was not affected by the phenanthrene concentration. In conclusion, the growth of the alga C. vulgaris was affected negatively by the exposure to nominal concentrations of the polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon phenanthrene higher than 1 µg/l.

Utilizando una metodología cuantitativa basada en encuestas a educadoras de párvulos, se identificaron las principales actividades realizadas, como el reciclaje, la reutilización de materiales y el cuidado de huertos. Aunque la mayoría de las educadoras implementan actividades ambientales, enfrentan limitaciones en recursos, tiempo y formación específica. Se concluye que la educación parvularia es fundamental para inculcar hábitos sostenibles desde la infancia, pero se requiere mayor capacitación y apoyo institucional para maximizar su impacto. Además, la participación activa de las familias se considera crucial para reforzar los aprendizajes medioambientales en los niños. El estudio subraya la importancia de mejorar las prácticas pedagógicas a través de la investigación continua y el desarrollo de políticas educativas que promuevan una conciencia ecológica desde la primera infancia. The article investigates how preschool education in Chillán promotes environmental awareness among boys and girls, contributing to the fight against climate change. Using a quantitative methodology based on surveys of preschool educators, the main activities carried out were identified, such as recycling, reuse of materials and garden care. Although most educators implement environmental activities, they face limitations in resources, time, and specific training. It is concluded that early childhood education is essential to instill sustainable habits from childhood, but greater training and institutional support is required to maximize its impact. Furthermore, the active participation of families is considered crucial to reinforce environmental learning in children. The study highlights the importance of improving pedagogical practices through continuous research and the development of educational policies that promote ecological awareness from early childhood.

Se emplearon datos del 26 de septiembre de 2023, obtenidos de fuentes financieras como Investing y reportes anuales de ambas compañías. Los resultados muestran que el múltiplo precio/utilidad de Tesla (61.71) es significativamente mayor que el de MBG (4.78), lo que indica que el mercado asigna un mayor valor a cada dólar de utilidad de Tesla. Además, el múltiplo precio/ventas de Tesla (9.51) es 20.6 veces mayor que el de MBG (0.46), a pesar de que MBG tuvo ventas netas un 94.68% superiores a las de Tesla en 2022. Se identificó que Tesla ha mantenido un crecimiento en ventas y producción superior al de MBG, además de un margen de utilidad más alto. La discusión sugiere que la mayor valoración de Tesla podría deberse a su liderazgo en vehículos eléctricos y la percepción del mercado sobre la sustentabilidad. Se concluye que MBG tiene potencial de crecimiento si incrementa su participación en el sector eléctrico y mejora su rentabilidad, mientras que Tesla debe mantener su ritmo de crecimiento para justificar su elevada valuación. This study compares the financial and market performance of Tesla Inc. and Mercedes-Benz Group (MBG) in 2022 by analyzing price-to-earnings and price-to-sales multiples. Data from September 26, 2023, was gathered from financial sources such as Investing and annual reports from both companies. The results show that Tesla's price-to-earnings ratio (61.71) is significantly higher than MBG’s (4.78), indicating that the market assigns greater value to each dollar of Tesla’s earnings. Additionally, Tesla’s price-to-sales ratio (9.51) is 20.6 times higher than MBG’s (0.46), despite MBG’s net sales being 94.68% higher than Tesla’s in 2022. Tesla has consistently achieved greater sales and production growth than MBG, along with a higher profit margin. The discussion suggests that Tesla's higher valuation may be attributed to its leadership in electric vehicles and market perception of sustainability. The study concludes that MBG has growth potential if it increases its presence in the electric vehicle market and improves profitability, while Tesla must sustain its growth rate to justify its high valuation.

K; Cavieres, Lohengrin;Los efectos del cambio climático sobre la biodiversidad ocurren a diferentes niveles de organización (organismos, especies y ecosistemas). La vegetación se encuentra relacionada directamente con el clima, por lo que se espera que el calentamiento global altere la distribución de los tipos de vegetación para el futuro cercano. Usando un enfoque de envoltura bioclimática, los tipos de vegetación de Chile fueron modelados y proyectados usando escenarios del IPCC para el año 2080. Los resultados presentan diferentes transiciones entre los tipos de vegetación, en relación a su distribución latitudinal y altitudinal actual. Entre los cambios principales, se identifica el avance altitudinal de la vegetación alpina, la expansión hacia el sur del desierto absoluto y del matorral desértico sobre el bosque escleróflo. Se esperan cambios en la representación relativa de las áreas protegidas dentro de los diferentes tipos de vegetación de Chile. Las limitaciones del ejercicio de modelación son discutidas junto a la necesidad de mejorar el conocimiento científico sobre procesos biológicos claves como dispersión y polinización. Climate change effects on biodiversity occur at different level of organization (organisms, species and ecosystems). Vegetation type bears a close relationship with climate, such that global warming is ex-pected to alter the distribution of major vegetation types in the near future. Using a bioclimatic envelope modeling approach, the major vegetation types of Chile were modeled and projected using IPCC scenarios for year 2080. The results show transitions among vegetation types in relation to their current latitudinal and altitudinal distribution. Major changes include an upward shift of the alpine vegetation and southward expansion of absolute desert and desert scrub into the present area of sclerophyllous forest. Changes in the relative representation of different vegetation types in Chile´s protected areas can be expected. Sin embargo en la elección de la cocina de inducción o GLP, por parte del ciudadano, además de los factores económicos intervienen también criterios o factores que caen dentro de la subjetividad; Es decir intervienen múltiples criterios. El presente artículo aporta con un método de apoyo que sugiere al usuario una posible mejor opción, teniendo en cuenta criterios tanto cuantitativos como cualitativos. Además se analizan posibles escenarios y su impacto en la decisión final. Abstract The Ecuadorian Government has been proposed to introduce in a massive scale in the national market, the use of Induction Stoves as a replacement of the LPG Stove (liquefied Petroleum Gas). Nevertheless, when choosing the induction stove, by the citizens, in addition to economic factors other factors could be taken into consideration, but they could fall into subjectivism. In other words, multiple criteria should be also considered. This article contributes with a method of support that suggests the user a possible best option, taking into account qualitative and quantitative criteria as well. Possible scenarios are also analyzed and also their impact in the final decision.

Abstract Most of the entrepreneurship are made up of small businesses and microenterprises that have a high representation in Los R��os province, Ecuador, on which many families depend to take their livelihoods home, in addition to contributing to services and supplies in each canton. This article aims to obtain a perception of the characteristics of these companies, determining their strengths and weaknesses and thus make proposals that eliminate or mitigate obstacles and increase efficiency in each case. Among the results that stood out is that there is consensus on the importance of entrepreneurship for the employability and services that the population receives. Para combatir el cambio climático, es necesario promover la disminución de las emisiones de los GEl, con la utilización de energía limpia, disminuyendo el uso de combustibles fósiles. Con este propósito se acordó en el Protocolo de Kyoto el Mecanismo de desarrollo Limpio (MOL). La actual situación de suministro energético en Chile hace necesario diversificar la matriz energética, para esto se ha optado por el estímulo al desarrollo de las Energías Renovables No Convencionales (ERNC). En el Sur de Chile una actividad que contribuye a la contaminación es la ganadería lechera, a través de la emisión de metano y de los desechos orgánicos, los que al utilizarlos como biomasa (ERNC) se obtiene biogás, con el cual se puede generar energía eléctrica y térmica por medio de la cogeneración. El Objetivo General de este trabajo es "determinar en qué consiste la utilización del biogás para la cogeneración de energía en un predio lechero". La metodología utilizada se basa en una investigación cualitativa, recogiendo material vía internet, revistas y documentos de casos de plantas de generación de biogás y cogeneración de energía, apuntes propios de la "VIl Conferencia Ambiental" (ExpoAmbiental 2009), también se utilizó información de libros en cuanto a Gestión Ambiental y Agronomía entre otros. The increased emissions of greenhouse gases (GHGs) have caused a global rise of the temperature. The impacts generated by this phenomenon are of great importance in all areas. To combat climate change is necessary to promote the reduction of GHG emissions, using clean energy and reducing the use of fossil fuel. For this purpose was agreed under the Kyoto Protocol the Clean Development Mechanism (CDM). Because of the current situation of energy supply in Chile it is necessary to diversify the energy matrix, to achive this objetive has been chosen a path that encourages the development of Non-Conventional Renewable Energies (NCRE). The dairy farming from the South of Chile is an activity that contributes to pollution through the emission of methane and organic waste. Which by their use as biomass (NCRE) can be converted on biogas to generate electrical and heat power through cogeneration. The main objective of this work is to "determine the use of biogas for energy cogeneration in a dairy farm". The used methodology is based on qualitative research, collecting material via Internet, magazines and documents about cases of biogas generation plants and power cogeneration, own notes about the 'VIl Environmental Conference (ExpoAmbiental 2009), and information from books about Environmental Management and Agronomy.

Las microalgas fueron expuestas a diferentes concentraciones de fenantreno (0, 1, 10, 100, 1000 y 10000 µg/l). El tiempo de exposición fue de 72 h, determinándose diariamente la densidad algal mediante recuento en cámara de Neubauer. Se determinó la tasa promedio de crecimiento, la biomasa total y el porcentaje de inhibición de la biomasa. También se evaluó el contenido de clorofila a, al inicio y final del experimento. Los ensayos fueron realizados en recipientes de vidrio de 0,4 l, utilizando como medio de cultivo fertilizante inorgánico del complejo NPK (REMITAL® m - 17-6-18) a razón de 1 g/l. Los resultados mostraron que el fenantreno inhibió progresivamente el crecimiento de la microalga, observándose el menor crecimiento celular en el medio con la mayor concentración de fenantreno, el cual alcanzó un porcentaje de inhibición del crecimiento del 59 %. Las tasas de crecimiento diario se mantuvieron relativamente constantes en los demás tratamientos. La concentración de clorofila a, medida mediante espectrofotometría, no se afectó por las diferentes concentraciones del hidrocarburo. En conclusión, el crecimiento de la microalga C. vulgaris puede afectarse negativamente por la exposición a concentraciones nominales superiores a 1 µg/l de fenantreno. The effects of the polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon phenanthrene on the growth of Chlorella vulgaris alga were evaluated under laboratory conditions. The algae were exposed during 72 h to different concentrations of phenanthrene (0, 1, 10, 100, 1000 and 10000 µg/l). The alga density was daily determined by a Neubauer chamber. The average growth average, total biomass and inhibition percentage of the biomass were also determined. In addition, the content of chlorophyll a was determined at the beginning and the end of the experiment. The assays were carried out in glass bottles of 0,4 l using the complex NPK (REMITAL® m - 17-6-18) at 1 g/l as an organic fertilizing. The results showed that phenanthrene inhibited progressively the alga growth being the lowest cellular growth observed in the medium with the highest phenanthrene concentration, reaching an inhibition percentage of 59 %. In the other treatments, the daily growth rate was relatively constant. The chlorophyll a concentration evaluated by spectrophotometry was not affected by the phenanthrene concentration. In conclusion, the growth of the alga C. vulgaris was affected negatively by the exposure to nominal concentrations of the polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon phenanthrene higher than 1 µg/l.

Utilizando una metodología cuantitativa basada en encuestas a educadoras de párvulos, se identificaron las principales actividades realizadas, como el reciclaje, la reutilización de materiales y el cuidado de huertos. Aunque la mayoría de las educadoras implementan actividades ambientales, enfrentan limitaciones en recursos, tiempo y formación específica. Se concluye que la educación parvularia es fundamental para inculcar hábitos sostenibles desde la infancia, pero se requiere mayor capacitación y apoyo institucional para maximizar su impacto. Además, la participación activa de las familias se considera crucial para reforzar los aprendizajes medioambientales en los niños. El estudio subraya la importancia de mejorar las prácticas pedagógicas a través de la investigación continua y el desarrollo de políticas educativas que promuevan una conciencia ecológica desde la primera infancia. The article investigates how preschool education in Chillán promotes environmental awareness among boys and girls, contributing to the fight against climate change. Using a quantitative methodology based on surveys of preschool educators, the main activities carried out were identified, such as recycling, reuse of materials and garden care. Although most educators implement environmental activities, they face limitations in resources, time, and specific training. It is concluded that early childhood education is essential to instill sustainable habits from childhood, but greater training and institutional support is required to maximize its impact. Furthermore, the active participation of families is considered crucial to reinforce environmental learning in children. The study highlights the importance of improving pedagogical practices through continuous research and the development of educational policies that promote ecological awareness from early childhood.

This study analyzes the main agricultural products used to produce biodiesel, their production costs and the utilization of those inputs in other industries. This study will also include a brief summary of different legislations in those countries under analysis. Se emplearon datos del 26 de septiembre de 2023, obtenidos de fuentes financieras como Investing y reportes anuales de ambas compañías. Los resultados muestran que el múltiplo precio/utilidad de Tesla (61.71) es significativamente mayor que el de MBG (4.78), lo que indica que el mercado asigna un mayor valor a cada dólar de utilidad de Tesla. Además, el múltiplo precio/ventas de Tesla (9.51) es 20.6 veces mayor que el de MBG (0.46), a pesar de que MBG tuvo ventas netas un 94.68% superiores a las de Tesla en 2022. Se identificó que Tesla ha mantenido un crecimiento en ventas y producción superior al de MBG, además de un margen de utilidad más alto. La discusión sugiere que la mayor valoración de Tesla podría deberse a su liderazgo en vehículos eléctricos y la percepción del mercado sobre la sustentabilidad. This study compares the financial and market performance of Tesla Inc. and Mercedes-Benz Group (MBG) in 2022 by analyzing price-to-earnings and price-to-sales multiples. Data from September 26, 2023, was gathered from financial sources such as Investing and annual reports from both companies. The results show that Tesla's price-to-earnings ratio (61.71) is significantly higher than MBG’s (4.78), indicating that the market assigns greater value to each dollar of Tesla’s earnings. Additionally, Tesla’s price-to-sales ratio (9.51) is 20.6 times higher than MBG’s (0.46), despite MBG’s net sales being 94.68% higher than Tesla’s in 2022. Tesla has consistently achieved greater sales and production growth than MBG, along with a higher profit margin. The discussion suggests that Tesla's higher valuation may be attributed to its leadership in electric vehicles and market perception of sustainability. The study concludes that MBG has growth potential if it increases its presence in the electric vehicle market and improves profitability, while Tesla must sustain its growth rate to justify its high valuation.
