    El presente artículo surge de la necesidad de desvelar la influencia del desarrollo turístico en las dimensiones del desarrollo sostenible de la comunidad de Caibarién (Cuba). La información se obtuvo mediante revisión documental y entrevistas semi estructuradas. Los fundamentos teóricos y metodológicos que soportan el tratamiento de este trabajo se estructuran a partir de la producción científica relativa a los temas del desarrollo turístico y el turismo sostenible. Los principales resultados mostraron que la estrategia de desarrollo de Gaviota S.A en los Cayos de Villa Clara, influye indirectamente en la sostenibilidad de la comunidad de Caibarién, lo cual coincide con lo que plantea la literatura académica y presenta su pertinencia también para el caso de Cuba, cuya organización socioeconómica y política se distancia del paradigma neoliberal global. Si bien existen algunas pautas que muestran una tendencia hacia el desarrollo sostenible, aún se identifican aspectos negativos en el modelo de desarrollo turístico que habrán de ser considerados tanto en futuras investigaciones como en sus implicaciones prácticas en la industria turística de Cuba y de otras latitudes. This article arises from the need to reveal the influence of tourism development on the dimensions of sustainable development in the community of Caibarién, Cuba. The information was obtained through documentary review and semi-structured interviews. The theoretical and methodological foundations that support the treatment of the subject are structured from the scientific production related to the topics of tourism development and sustainable tourism. The main results showed that the development strategy of Gaviota SA in the Villa Clara Keys, indirectly influences the sustainability of the Caibarién community, which coincides with what is stated in the academic literature and is also relevant for the case of Cuba, whose socio-economic and political organization distances itself from the global neoliberal paradigm. Although there are elements that show a trend towards sustainable development, negative aspects were still identified as a consequence of the presence of tourism development that will have to be considered both in future research and in its practical implications in the tourism industry of the Island and of other latitudes.

    Las infraestructuras de transporte, como los puertos, se enfrentan al desafío de la transición hacia prácticas de gestión sostenible en un contexto de cambio climático. El nexo Energía y Agua es clave para ese propósito como lo señala la Organización Europea de Puertos Marítimos (ESPO) en el informe "Prioridades de los puertos europeos para 2019-2024", centrándose en la necesidad de coherencia y coordinación entre la política de transporte y otras políticas a nivel de la Unión Europea (UE) (Medio Ambiente, Aduanas, Competencia, Energía, Asuntos Marítimos, Investigación). En 2019, 94 puertos de 19 distintos países miembros de la ESPO, han tomado iniciativas de sostenibilidad para reducir la contaminación de agua en los puertos y de este modo proteger la calidad del agua y respetar las normas impuestas por la Directiva Marco del Agua. Los Sistemas Urbanos de Drenaje Sostenible (SUDS) se han convertido en las técnicas de drenaje más utilizadas para adaptar con éxito las áreas urbanas a los escenarios climáticos presentes y futuros. Sin embargo, se han realizado pocas investigaciones sobre la aplicación de SUDS en la infraestructura de transporte relacionada con los puertos, lo que representa una brecha clave en el campo de la gestión de la infraestructura de transporte. Algunos trabajos previos sobre pavimentos permeable (PP) mostraron el potencial para implementar SUDS en terminales portuarias, capturando y filtrando la escorrentía superficial, permitiendo el control del volumen y el tratamiento de contaminantes. Esta investigación presenta un nuevo enfoque para la ubicación y selección del drenaje en los puertos, considerando todos los aspectos del diseño de SUDS dentro de un marco multicriterio (ej.: control de la cantidad de agua, tratamiento de la calidad del agua, biodiversidad y servicios). A su vez, esta investigación demuestra que tipos de SUDS podrían diseñarse y utilizarse en puertos bajo un análisis multicriterio, presentando las principales limitaciones para su implementación.     El ser humano, con su ansia por consumir energía, un ansia derivada de un desarrollo cultural procedente de una larga etapa de escasez, está produciendo un cambio en el medio ambiente en el que tiene que desarrollar su vida que le está llevando hacia un desastre de manera acelerada, un desastre similar a otras caídas de imperios como el romano, el español o la civilización maya. La temperatura del planeta está aumentando y esto lleva a un cambio físico de difícil adaptación en un corto espacio de tiempo. La solución a este problema pasa por una revolución en la cultura dominante que lleve a un disfrute de lo que se tiene en vez de a un ansia (razonablemente pueblerina) de acumulación de objetos y experiencias. La supervivencia de la especie humana deriva, hoy, de otra consideración distinta de aquella de hace miles de años: En vez de necesitar seres humanos como mano de obra necesitamos los cerebros de esos seres humanos como creadores de ideas. En vez de una riqueza derivada de una energía inmediata, necesitamos energía sofisticada en formas cada vez más tecnológicas. La supervivencia de cada uno deriva ahora de la supervivencia del conjunto de la sociedad, de nuestra capacidad para frenar el cambio climático. Solo rechazando los memes culturales antiguos es esto posible. En un número dedicado a cultura y desarrollo como el presente de Quorum es importante señalar éstos puntos. Human being, under his anxiety for using energy, an anxiety derived from a cultural development coming from a long stage of shortages, is producing a change in the environment where he has to carry on with his life. This change is bringing him to the verge of a global disaster in an accelerated way, a disaster similar to the fall of other empires like the román, the spanish or the mayan civilization. The temperature of the planet is increasing and that implies a physical change to which it will be very difficult to adapt in a short time span. The solution to this problem needs a revolution in the dominant culture, a change that brings us to enjoy what we have instead of desiring, in a countrytown sort of way, having each time more and more. Survival of human species derives today of a different thinking to that of thousands of years ago: Today we don't longer need human beings as a labour forcé. Instead, we need their brains as creators of ¡deas. Instead of richness derived of inmediate energy use, we need sophisticated use of the available energy in ways every time more technological. Survival of the individuum derives from the survival of the society, of our ability to brake the climatic change. It is only by rejecting oíd cultural memes that this is possible. In an issue of Quorum dedicaded to culture and development it is important to insist on these points.

    En el presente documento, se estudia la viabilidad de la implantación de una empresa con actividad enfocada a la gestión y producción de biomasa. La finalidad del proyecto, es valorar si la actividad desarrollada por la empresa y bajo un supuesto nivel de ventas puede generar beneficio y rentabilizar la inversión en menor tiempo posible. En base a unas necesidades medioambientales de las áreas forestales y la oportunidad de generar nuevas fuentes de negocio, se propone desarrollar la implantación de una industria enfocada a la gestión forestal y aprovechamiento y transformación de biomasa residual. Se dimensiona la nave para disponer de una capacidad de producción nominal de 10.000 toneladas anuales, y se definen un conjunto de espacios necesarios para poder almacenar toda la biomasa. También se realiza una simulación de qué volumen de calderas se puede suministrar biomasa para la cantidad de producción establecida, y realizar una previsión de la demanda a un escenario futuro cercano. Poder procesar tal volumen de biomasa residual, genera una gran dependencia de recursos naturales forestales que se generan en el entorno. Para ello, se decide dar servicio de gestión forestal sostenible para poder mantener en buen estado las masas forestales y establecer un servicio para obtener la materia prima de la cadena de producción. Para poder obtener una astilla de calidad, se diseña la planta para poder tener capacidad de realizar el proceso de transformación de biomasa residual forestal en astillas. Se evalúan los recursos necesarios para llevar a cabo la actividad, y desarrollar diferentes actividades con el mínimo de recursos. Para demostrar la rentabilidad de la actividad de la empresa, se realiza un estudio económico-financiero para valorar si para dicha producción de biomasa puede generar beneficios con la actividad y evaluar la rentabilidad del proyecto a un futuro próximo. En los primeros capítulos del documento anexos, se pretende dar a conocer qué es la biomasa, qué ventajas proporciona, cómo podemos aprovechar los recursos de la biomasa para sustituir otras fuentes de energía y cuál es el papel que desarrolla la biomasa en los últimos años en la sociedad.

La estimación de la biomasa por medio de los inventarios forestales requiere de grandes cantidades de tiempo y recursos, pero este proceso se puede reducir al utilizarse técnicas de teledetección. Esto permite obtener grandes cantidades de información de una manera mucho más sencilla. Se usarán los inventarios forestales para estimar la biomasa mediante las ecuaciones alométricas. Mediante el análisis de texturas, una técnica de teledetección, se clasifica la zona acuerdo a los valores de los inventarios. La relación entre la variable de textura y biomasa mejorará precisión y eficacia de las estimaciones de la biomasa con mayor resolución espacial en zonas amplias junto a una reducción de los recursos empleados para este fin. [EN] Sustainable management of forest resources requires accurate estimation of forest biomass. Estimating biomass through forest inventories requires large amounts of time and resources, but this process can be reduced by using teledetection techniques. This allows large amounts of information to be obtained in a much simpler way. Forest inventories will be used to estimate biomass using allometric equations. Texture analysis, a teledetection technique, is used to classify the area according to the values of the inventories. The relationship between the texture variable and biomass will improve accuracy and efficiency of biomass estimates with higher spatial resolution over large areas along with a reduction of resources used for this purpose.

    [ES] Los cambios en el uso del territorio y la reducción de las prácticas de pastoreo en los últimos años han puesto en evidencia problemas de sostenibilidad de algunos sistemas ganaderos, con implicaciones medioambientales. Con el objetivo de buscar alternativas a esta situación, el proyecto LIFE REGEN FARMING (LIFE12 ENV/ES/000232), dentro del cual se engloba este trabajo final de master, promueven la viabilidad de prácticas regenerativas, entre ellas el pastoreo ¿rotacional¿ o ¿dirigido¿ debido tanto a su efectividad técnico-económica como medioambiental. El pastoreo rotacional o dirigido (D) presenta ventajas como: incrementar la producción de forraje y proporcionar forraje de mejor calidad, permitir la recuperación de las plantas y controlar la oferta, y evitar la selección de los animales. Esta utilización más uniforme del pasto hace que las deyecciones también se distribuyan de forma más uniforme y mejore la salud del suelo. Además, estos pastos permanentes tienen una gran capacidad de fijar carbono. Todos estos efectos beneficiosos se consiguen ajustando las cargas ganaderas, el tiempo de permanencia de los animales en el pasto y el tiempo de recuperación de la vegetación. El sector de ovino lechero de la Comunidad Autónoma del País Vasco (CAPV) se ha basado tradicionalmente en la utilización de la raza Latxa mediante sistemas de producción ligados a la explotación de los recursos forrajeros locales, en gran medida en pastoreo. Durante los meses de primavera la alimentación de las ovejas en lactación se basa en el pastoreo a tiempo parcial en las praderas de valle, con mayor o menor suplementación en pesebre (Oregui et al., 1997). Conocer el manejo del pastoreo que se realiza en este periodo resulta clave para plantear estrategias encaminadas a mejorar la eficiencia de estos sistemas y contribuir a su sostenibilidad. Debido a ello, el primer objetivo del presente trabajo fue medir el efecto del manejo de pastoreo (D: dirigido y L: libre) sobre parámetros productivos (cantidad y composición de la leche, etc.) y medioambientales (huella de carbono, emisiones de metano, etc.) en un sistema de ovino lechero de Neiker. En segundo lugar con el objetivo de buscar alternativas de mitigación de GEI se realizaron incubaciones in vitro de distintas dietas (diferentes cantidades de forraje/pasto y diferente composición de pasto) [EN] Changes in land use and reducing grazing practices in recent years have highlighted problems of sustainability of some livestock systems, with environmental implications. In order to find alternatives to this situation, the LIFE REGEN FARMING project (LIFE12 ENV / ES / 000232), in which this work of master is encompassed, promote the viability of regenerative practices, including the "rotational" grazing or "targeted" due to both its technical-economic and environmental effectiveness. Rotational grazing or directed (D) has advantages such as: increasing forage production and provide better quality forage, allow recovery of plants and control supply, and avoid selecting animals. This more uniform pasture utilization makes droppings also be distributed more evenly and improve soil health. In addition, these permanent pasture has a great capacity to fix carbon. All these beneficial effects are achieved by adjusting stocking rates, the residence time of the animals in the grass and the recovery time of vegetation. Dairy sheep sector of the Basque Country (ACBC) has traditionally been based on the use of the same breed through production systems linked to the exploitation of local feed resources, largely on grazing. During the spring feeding lactating ewes is based on part-time grazing in prairie valley, more or less supplementation in crib (Oregui et al., 1997). Knowing grazing management that is done in this period is key to raising strategies to improve the efficiency of these systems and contribute to its sustainability. Because of this, the first objective of this study was to measure the effect of grazing management (D: directed and L: free) on production parameters (quantity and composition of milk, etc.) and environmental (carbon footprint, methane emissions, etc.) in a system Neiker dairy sheep.     El almacenamiento de energía es esencial debido al aumento del uso de fuentes renovables y a la demanda de energía eléctrica. Las baterías de litio han revolucionado la movilidad eléctrica y son parte fundamental de la transición energética al reemplazar a los combustibles fósiles. Los vehículos eléctricos (EV) son una solución sostenible, pero sus baterías se enfrentan a desafíos como son el coste de los materiales y la autonomía limitada debido al peso de las mismas. Los polímeros juegan un papel crucial al mejorar los componentes clave de las baterías, como electrodos, electrolitos, separadores y binders. These polymers offer significant advantages in terms of energy storage capacity, safety, and flexibility.     La creciente demanda de fuentes de energías sostenibles, ha llevado a investigar tecnologías que utilizan eficientemente los recursos naturales. En este contexto, la energía marina, surge como una alternativa renovable a los combustibles fósiles, aprovechando diversas fuentes como olas, mareas y variaciones de temperatura en el océano. Este trabajo, se enfoca en la extracción de energía a partir de cambios térmicos en el mar mediante un ciclo de Rankine, y propone a su vez, el diseño de una planta OTEC (Ocean Thermal Energy Conversion) que también permita la potabilización de agua marina. Los objetivos del proyecto incluyen, el estudio del ciclo de Rankine, la comparación de la tecnología OTEC con otras fuentes marinas, averiguar si nuestra planta teórica se podría realizar en la práctica y la compresión de los procesos de desalinización. La planta se situará en una ubicación costera adecuada, específicamente en Palawan, Filipinas. Contará con sistemas para captar agua de mar, un ciclo OTEC híbrido que utiliza amoníaco como fluido de trabajo, y un sistema de tratamiento para garantizar la calidad del agua potable. Además se desarrollará una maqueta explicativa del ciclo de Rankine y se realizará un monitoreo de temperatura en el evaporador, complementando con un modelo simulado en Matlab, para facilitar la comprensión del ciclo. En aquest context, l'energia marina sorgeix com una alternativa renovable als combustibles fòssils, aprofitant diverses fonts com ara onades, marees i variacions de temperatura a l'oceà. Aquest treball s'enfoca a l'extracció d'energia a partir de canvis tèrmics al mar mitjançant un cicle de Rankine, i proposa alhora el disseny d'una planta OTEC (Ocean Thermal Energy Conversion) que també permeti la potabilització d'aigua marina . Els objectius del projecte inclouen, l'estudi del cicle de Rankine, la comparació de la tecnologia OTEC amb altres fonts marines, esbrinar si la nostra planta teòrica es podria realitzar a la pràctica i la compressió dels processos de dessalinització. La planta se situarà en una ubicació costanera adequada, específicament a Palawan, Filipines. The growing demand for sustainable energy sources has led to research into technologies that make efficient use of natural resources. In this context, marine energy emerges as a renewable alternative to fossil fuels, taking advantage of diverse sources such as waves, tides and temperature variations in the ocean. This work focuses on the extraction of energy from thermal changes in the sea by means of a Rankine cycle, and proposes the design of an OTEC (Ocean Thermal Energy Conversion) plant that also allows the purification of seawater. The project objectives include studying the Rankine cycle, comparing OTEC technology with other marine sources, finding out whether our theoretical plant could be implemented in practice, and understanding desalination processes. The plant will be located in a suitable coastal location, specifically in Palawan, Philippines. It will have systems to capture seawater, a hybrid OTEC cycle using ammonia as the working fluid, and a treatment system to ensure drinking water quality. In addition, an explanatory model of the Rankine cycle will be developed and a temperature monitoring of the evaporator will be carried out, complemented with a model simulated in Matlab, to facilitate the understanding of the cycle.

    El presente artículo surge de la necesidad de desvelar la influencia del desarrollo turístico en las dimensiones del desarrollo sostenible de la comunidad de Caibarién (Cuba). La información se obtuvo mediante revisión documental y entrevistas semi estructuradas. Los fundamentos teóricos y metodológicos que soportan el tratamiento de este trabajo se estructuran a partir de la producción científica relativa a los temas del desarrollo turístico y el turismo sostenible. Los principales resultados mostraron que la estrategia de desarrollo de Gaviota S.A en los Cayos de Villa Clara, influye indirectamente en la sostenibilidad de la comunidad de Caibarién, lo cual coincide con lo que plantea la literatura académica y presenta su pertinencia también para el caso de Cuba, cuya organización socioeconómica y política se distancia del paradigma neoliberal global. Si bien existen algunas pautas que muestran una tendencia hacia el desarrollo sostenible, aún se identifican aspectos negativos en el modelo de desarrollo turístico que habrán de ser considerados tanto en futuras investigaciones como en sus implicaciones prácticas en la industria turística de Cuba y de otras latitudes. This article arises from the need to reveal the influence of tourism development on the dimensions of sustainable development in the community of Caibarién, Cuba. The information was obtained through documentary review and semi-structured interviews. The theoretical and methodological foundations that support the treatment of the subject are structured from the scientific production related to the topics of tourism development and sustainable tourism. The main results showed that the development strategy of Gaviota SA in the Villa Clara Keys, indirectly influences the sustainability of the Caibarién community, which coincides with what is stated in the academic literature and is also relevant for the case of Cuba, whose socio-economic and political organization distances itself from the global neoliberal paradigm. Although there are elements that show a trend towards sustainable development, negative aspects were still identified as a consequence of the presence of tourism development that will have to be considered both in future research and in its practical implications in the tourism industry of the Island and of other latitudes.

    Las infraestructuras de transporte, como los puertos, se enfrentan al desafío de la transición hacia prácticas de gestión sostenible en un contexto de cambio climático. El nexo Energía y Agua es clave para ese propósito como lo señala la Organización Europea de Puertos Marítimos (ESPO) en el informe "Prioridades de los puertos europeos para 2019-2024", centrándose en la necesidad de coherencia y coordinación entre la política de transporte y otras políticas a nivel de la Unión Europea (UE) (Medio Ambiente, Aduanas, Competencia, Energía, Asuntos Marítimos, Investigación). En 2019, 94 puertos de 19 distintos países miembros de la ESPO, han tomado iniciativas de sostenibilidad para reducir la contaminación de agua en los puertos y de este modo proteger la calidad del agua y respetar las normas impuestas por la Directiva Marco del Agua. Los Sistemas Urbanos de Drenaje Sostenible (SUDS) se han convertido en las técnicas de drenaje más utilizadas para adaptar con éxito las áreas urbanas a los escenarios climáticos presentes y futuros. Sin embargo, se han realizado pocas investigaciones sobre la aplicación de SUDS en la infraestructura de transporte relacionada con los puertos, lo que representa una brecha clave en el campo de la gestión de la infraestructura de transporte. Algunos trabajos previos sobre pavimentos permeable (PP) mostraron el potencial para implementar SUDS en terminales portuarias, capturando y filtrando la escorrentía superficial, permitiendo el control del volumen y el tratamiento de contaminantes. Esta investigación presenta un nuevo enfoque para la ubicación y selección del drenaje en los puertos, considerando todos los aspectos del diseño de SUDS dentro de un marco multicriterio (ej.: control de la cantidad de agua, tratamiento de la calidad del agua, biodiversidad y servicios). A su vez, esta investigación demuestra que tipos de SUDS podrían diseñarse y utilizarse en puertos bajo un análisis multicriterio, presentando las principales limitaciones para su implementación.     El ser humano, con su ansia por consumir energía, un ansia derivada de un desarrollo cultural procedente de una larga etapa de escasez, está produciendo un cambio en el medio ambiente en el que tiene que desarrollar su vida que le está llevando hacia un desastre de manera acelerada, un desastre similar a otras caídas de imperios como el romano, el español o la civilización maya. La temperatura del planeta está aumentando y esto lleva a un cambio físico de difícil adaptación en un corto espacio de tiempo. La solución a este problema pasa por una revolución en la cultura dominante que lleve a un disfrute de lo que se tiene en vez de a un ansia (razonablemente pueblerina) de acumulación de objetos y experiencias. La supervivencia de la especie humana deriva, hoy, de otra consideración distinta de aquella de hace miles de años: En vez de necesitar seres humanos como mano de obra necesitamos los cerebros de esos seres humanos como creadores de ideas. En vez de una riqueza derivada de una energía inmediata, necesitamos energía sofisticada en formas cada vez más tecnológicas. La supervivencia de cada uno deriva ahora de la supervivencia del conjunto de la sociedad, de nuestra capacidad para frenar el cambio climático. Solo rechazando los memes culturales antiguos es esto posible. En un número dedicado a cultura y desarrollo como el presente de Quorum es importante señalar éstos puntos. Human being, under his anxiety for using energy, an anxiety derived from a cultural development coming from a long stage of shortages, is producing a change in the environment where he has to carry on with his life. This change is bringing him to the verge of a global disaster in an accelerated way, a disaster similar to the fall of other empires like the román, the spanish or the mayan civilization. The temperature of the planet is increasing and that implies a physical change to which it will be very difficult to adapt in a short time span. The solution to this problem needs a revolution in the dominant culture, a change that brings us to enjoy what we have instead of desiring, in a countrytown sort of way, having each time more and more. Survival of human species derives today of a different thinking to that of thousands of years ago: Today we don't longer need human beings as a labour forcé. Instead, we need their brains as creators of ¡deas. Instead of richness derived of inmediate energy use, we need sophisticated use of the available energy in ways every time more technological. Survival of the individuum derives from the survival of the society, of our ability to brake the climatic change. It is only by rejecting oíd cultural memes that this is possible. In an issue of Quorum dedicaded to culture and development it is important to insist on these points.

    En el presente documento, se estudia la viabilidad de la implantación de una empresa con actividad enfocada a la gestión y producción de biomasa. La finalidad del proyecto, es valorar si la actividad desarrollada por la empresa y bajo un supuesto nivel de ventas puede generar beneficio y rentabilizar la inversión en menor tiempo posible. En base a unas necesidades medioambientales de las áreas forestales y la oportunidad de generar nuevas fuentes de negocio, se propone desarrollar la implantación de una industria enfocada a la gestión forestal y aprovechamiento y transformación de biomasa residual. Se dimensiona la nave para disponer de una capacidad de producción nominal de 10.000 toneladas anuales, y se definen un conjunto de espacios necesarios para poder almacenar toda la biomasa. También se realiza una simulación de qué volumen de calderas se puede suministrar biomasa para la cantidad de producción establecida, y realizar una previsión de la demanda a un escenario futuro cercano. Poder procesar tal volumen de biomasa residual, genera una gran dependencia de recursos naturales forestales que se generan en el entorno. Para ello, se decide dar servicio de gestión forestal sostenible para poder mantener en buen estado las masas forestales y establecer un servicio para obtener la materia prima de la cadena de producción. Para poder obtener una astilla de calidad, se diseña la planta para poder tener capacidad de realizar el proceso de transformación de biomasa residual forestal en astillas. Se evalúan los recursos necesarios para llevar a cabo la actividad, y desarrollar diferentes actividades con el mínimo de recursos. Para demostrar la rentabilidad de la actividad de la empresa, se realiza un estudio económico-financiero para valorar si para dicha producción de biomasa puede generar beneficios con la actividad y evaluar la rentabilidad del proyecto a un futuro próximo. En los primeros capítulos del documento anexos, se pretende dar a conocer qué es la biomasa, qué ventajas proporciona, cómo podemos aprovechar los recursos de la biomasa para sustituir otras fuentes de energía y cuál es el papel que desarrolla la biomasa en los últimos años en la sociedad.

Mediante el análisis de texturas, una técnica de teledetección, se clasifica la zona acuerdo a los valores de los inventarios. La relación entre la variable de textura y biomasa mejorará precisión y eficacia de las estimaciones de la biomasa con mayor resolución espacial en zonas amplias junto a una reducción de los recursos empleados para este fin. [EN] Sustainable management of forest resources requires accurate estimation of forest biomass. Estimating biomass through forest inventories requires large amounts of time and resources, but this process can be reduced by using teledetection techniques. This allows large amounts of information to be obtained in a much simpler way. Forest inventories will be used to estimate biomass using allometric equations. Texture analysis, a teledetection technique, is used to classify the area according to the values of the inventories. The relationship between the texture variable and biomass will improve accuracy and efficiency of biomass estimates with higher spatial resolution over large areas along with a reduction of resources used for this purpose.

    [ES] Los cambios en el uso del territorio y la reducción de las prácticas de pastoreo en los últimos años han puesto en evidencia problemas de sostenibilidad de algunos sistemas ganaderos, con implicaciones medioambientales. Con el objetivo de buscar alternativas a esta situación, el proyecto LIFE REGEN FARMING (LIFE12 ENV/ES/000232), dentro del cual se engloba este trabajo final de master, promueven la viabilidad de prácticas regenerativas, entre ellas el pastoreo ¿rotacional¿ o ¿dirigido¿ debido tanto a su efectividad técnico-económica como medioambiental. El pastoreo rotacional o dirigido (D) presenta ventajas como: incrementar la producción de forraje y proporcionar forraje de mejor calidad, permitir la recuperación de las plantas y controlar la oferta, y evitar la selección de los animales. Esta utilización más uniforme del pasto hace que las deyecciones también se distribuyan de forma más uniforme y mejore la salud del suelo. Además, estos pastos permanentes tienen una gran capacidad de fijar carbono. Todos estos efectos beneficiosos se consiguen ajustando las cargas ganaderas, el tiempo de permanencia de los animales en el pasto y el tiempo de recuperación de la vegetación. El sector de ovino lechero de la Comunidad Autónoma del País Vasco (CAPV) se ha basado tradicionalmente en la utilización de la raza Latxa mediante sistemas de producción ligados a la explotación de los recursos forrajeros locales, en gran medida en pastoreo. Durante los meses de primavera la alimentación de las ovejas en lactación se basa en el pastoreo a tiempo parcial en las praderas de valle, con mayor o menor suplementación en pesebre (Oregui et al., 1997). Conocer el manejo del pastoreo que se realiza en este periodo resulta clave para plantear estrategias encaminadas a mejorar la eficiencia de estos sistemas y contribuir a su sostenibilidad. Debido a ello, el primer objetivo del presente trabajo fue medir el efecto del manejo de pastoreo (D: dirigido y L: libre) sobre parámetros productivos (cantidad y composición de la leche, etc.) y medioambientales (huella de carbono, emisiones de metano, etc.) en un sistema de ovino lechero de Neiker. En segundo lugar con el objetivo de buscar alternativas de mitigación de GEI se realizaron incubaciones in vitro de distintas dietas (diferentes cantidades de forraje/pasto y diferente composición de pasto) [EN] Changes in land use and reducing grazing practices in recent years have highlighted problems of sustainability of some livestock systems, with environmental implications. In order to find alternatives to this situation, the LIFE REGEN FARMING project (LIFE12 ENV / ES / 000232), in which this work of master is encompassed, promote the viability of regenerative practices, including the "rotational" grazing or "targeted" due to both its technical-economic and environmental effectiveness. Rotational grazing or directed (D) has advantages such as: increasing forage production and provide better quality forage, allow recovery of plants and control supply, and avoid selecting animals. This more uniform pasture utilization makes droppings also be distributed more evenly and improve soil health. In addition, these permanent pasture has a great capacity to fix carbon. Dairy sheep sector of the Basque Country (ACBC) has traditionally been based on the use of the same breed through production systems linked to the exploitation of local feed resources, largely on grazing. During the spring feeding lactating ewes is based on part-time grazing in prairie valley, more or less supplementation in crib (Oregui et al., 1997). Knowing grazing management that is done in this period is key to raising strategies to improve the efficiency of these systems and contribute to its sustainability. Los vehículos eléctricos (EV) son una solución sostenible, pero sus baterías se enfrentan a desafíos como son el coste de los materiales y la autonomía limitada debido al peso de las mismas. Los polímeros juegan un papel crucial al mejorar los componentes clave de las baterías, como electrodos, electrolitos, separadores y binders.     La creciente demanda de fuentes de energías sostenibles, ha llevado a investigar tecnologías que utilizan eficientemente los recursos naturales. En este contexto, la energía marina, surge como una alternativa renovable a los combustibles fósiles, aprovechando diversas fuentes como olas, mareas y variaciones de temperatura en el océano. Este trabajo, se enfoca en la extracción de energía a partir de cambios térmicos en el mar mediante un ciclo de Rankine, y propone a su vez, el diseño de una planta OTEC (Ocean Thermal Energy Conversion) que también permita la potabilización de agua marina. Los objetivos del proyecto incluyen, el estudio del ciclo de Rankine, la comparación de la tecnología OTEC con otras fuentes marinas, averiguar si nuestra planta teórica se podría realizar en la práctica y la compresión de los procesos de desalinización. La planta se situará en una ubicación costera adecuada, específicamente en Palawan, Filipinas. Contará con sistemas para captar agua de mar, un ciclo OTEC híbrido que utiliza amoníaco como fluido de trabajo, y un sistema de tratamiento para garantizar la calidad del agua potable. Además se desarrollará una maqueta explicativa del ciclo de Rankine y se realizará un monitoreo de temperatura en el evaporador, complementando con un modelo simulado en Matlab, para facilitar la comprensión del ciclo. La demanda creixent de fonts d'energies sostenibles ha portat a investigar tecnologies que utilitzen eficientment els recursos naturals. En aquest context, l'energia marina sorgeix com una alternativa renovable als combustibles fòssils, aprofitant diverses fonts com ara onades, marees i variacions de temperatura a l'oceà. Aquest treball s'enfoca a l'extracció d'energia a partir de canvis tèrmics al mar mitjançant un cicle de Rankine, i proposa alhora el disseny d'una planta OTEC (Ocean Thermal Energy Conversion) que també permeti la potabilització d'aigua marina . The growing demand for sustainable energy sources has led to research into technologies that make efficient use of natural resources. In this context, marine energy emerges as a renewable alternative to fossil fuels, taking advantage of diverse sources such as waves, tides and temperature variations in the ocean. This work focuses on the extraction of energy from thermal changes in the sea by means of a Rankine cycle, and proposes the design of an OTEC (Ocean Thermal Energy Conversion) plant that also allows the purification of seawater. The project objectives include studying the Rankine cycle, comparing OTEC technology with other marine sources, finding out whether our theoretical plant could be implemented in practice, and understanding desalination processes. The plant will be located in a suitable coastal location, specifically in Palawan, Philippines. It will have systems to capture seawater, a hybrid OTEC cycle using ammonia as the working fluid, and a treatment system to ensure drinking water quality. In addition, an explanatory model of the Rankine cycle will be developed and a temperature monitoring of the evaporator will be carried out, complemented with a model simulated in Matlab, to facilitate the understanding of the cycle.
