One Group will undergo laparoscopical stripping technique; the other one will undergo laparoscopic aspiration and sclerotherapy using 95% ethanol. The women will be introduced with both operative options and they will be informed about the randomization . After an elaborate explanation about the study they will sign an informed consent form. the following data will be collected prior the operation: age, gravity & parity, operative history, general medical history, the cyst size, AMH (Anti Mullerian Hormone), symptoms related to endometriosis (through VAS score), fertility history including any fertility treatment in the past and planned pregnancy after the operation. The laparoscopy will take place in Fondazione Policlinico Gemelli IRCSS, Roma. in the study group the cyst content will be aspirated and flushed with normal saline. 95% sterile ethanol will be instilled into the cyst through a Nelathon catheter. Ethanol will be left in the cyst for 15 min then aspirated as completely as possible following normal saline flushing. In the control group we will follow the standard treatment which is cystectomy. The women will be followed at 1 , 3 , 6 and 12 months after the surgery. The aim of this study is to compare two different laparoscopic surgical techniques (endometrioma stripping vs ethanol sclerotherapy) in terms of ovarian reserve (AMH levels), recurrence rate and pain relief.

Summary: The file “GCOS_EHI_1960-2020_Earth_Heat_Inventory_Ocean_Heat_Content_data.nc” contains a consistent long-term Earth system heat inventory over the period 1960-2020. Human-induced atmospheric composition changes cause a radiative imbalance at the top-of-atmosphere which is driving global warming. Understanding the heat gain of the Earth system from this accumulated heat – and particularly how much and where the heat is distributed in the Earth system - is fundamental to understanding how this affects warming oceans, atmosphere and land, rising temperatures and sea level, and loss of grounded and floating ice, which are fundamental concerns for society. This dataset is based on a study under the Global Climate Observing System (GCOS) concerted international effort to update the Earth heat inventory published in von Schuckmann et al. (2020), and presents an updated international assessment of ocean warming estimates, and new and updated estimates of heat gain in the atmosphere, cryosphere and land over the period 1960-2020. The dataset also contains estimates for global ocean heat content over 1960-2020 for different depth layers, i.e., 0-300m, 0-700m, 700-2000m, 0-2000m, 2000-bottom, which are described in von Schuckmann et al. (2022). This version includes an update of heat storage of global ocean heat content, where one additional product (Li et al., 2022) had been included to the initial estimate. The Earth heat inventory had been updated accordingly, considering also the update for continental heat content (Cuesta-Valero et al., 2023).

Here we provide a dataset on anthropogenic GHG emissions 1970-2019 with a broad country and sector coverage. We build the dataset from recent releases from the Emissions Database for Global Atmospheric Research (EDGAR) for CO2 emissions from fossil fuel combustion and industry (FFI), CH4 emissions, N2O emissions, and fluorinated gases and use a well-established fast-track method to extend this dataset from 2018 to 2019. We complement this with information on net CO2 emissions from land use, land-use change and forestry (LULUCF) from three available bookkeeping models. The metadata in the previous version (#4) indicated that AR5 100 year global warming potentials (GWPs) were applied. This was incorrect. The metadata has been corrected, and both AR5 and AR6 100 year GWPs are now included as variables for convenient switching between metrics.

Rocío; Shivakumar, Abhishek; Usher, Will; This dataset underpins the study "Synergies and conflicts of energy development and water security in Africa". The study provides insights into energy supply and demand, power generation, investments and total system costs, water consumption and withdrawal as well as carbon dioxide emissions for the African continent. We developed a model to evaluate energy supply and water requirements to cover the energy needs of the African continent during the period 2015-2065. The model was developed using the open-source modeling system for long-term energy planning OSeMOSYS. The objective function is to minimise total energy system costs, rather than, for example, co-optimise the energy and water sectors. Other energy resources were also included in the model except for adding the water analysis, and the dataset was updated based on the latest available information. The OSeMOSYS model developed to conduct the study “Energy projections for African countries”, itself extended from the Electricity Model Base for Africa (TEMBA), was further extended, included exports for all fuels, water loss due to evaporation in hydropower plants and more scenarios examined. Furthermore, the latest available data on the energy system of Africa was also updated. The TEMBA model produces aggregate energy, and detailed power system results in each country in the African continent. The power sector results are also reported with power pool aggregation. The OSeMOSYS model and input data used to produce these results can be found at KTH-dESA/jrc_temba: TEMBA 2.1 (Version v2.1) [Data set].
