    A Compreensão de Programas (CP) é uma disciplina da Engenharia de Software destinada a criar modelos, métodos, técnicas e ferramentas, baseadas num processo da aprendizagem e num processo de engenharia, com o objectivo de alcançar um profundo conhecimento dos sistemas de software. O processo da aprendizagem implica a análise da forma como os programadores entendem os programas. Esta temática é bem descrita no contexto dos Modelos Cognitivos. O processo de engenharia necessita de ser abordado através de tópicos como: Métodos de Extracção da Informação, Administração da Informação e Visualizaçãoade Software. A pesquisa em todas estas áreas faz com que seja possível abordar a construção de boas ferramentas de CP. Além disso, esta tarefa dá a possivilidade de inter-relacionar o domínio do programa (componentes de software) e o domínio do problema (comportamento do sistema). Esta última actividade é um dos grandes desafios no contexto da compreensão de programas. Neste artigo, descrevemos as pesquisas e os resultados obtidos nos tópicos descritos nos parágrafos precedentes. Estas tarefas fazem parte de nossa tese de doutoramento denominada: Técnicas de Inspecção de Programas para Inter-Relacionar a Vista Operacional e a Vista Comportamental de Sistemas de Software. FCT

    Nesta apresentação faz-se a aplicação, para um mesmo apartamento, do Regulamento das Características do Comportamento dos Edifícios (RCCTE) apresentando em paralelo as metodologias preconizadas nas versões do RCCTE de 1990e de 2006. A análise incide num apartamento de tipologia T1 de um Edifício localizado na cidade de Lisboa (zona climática I1-V2 Sul). O apartamento T1-A constitui uma única zona independente (RCCTE-1990) / fracção autónoma (RCCTE 2006). A caracterização térmica da envolvente para aplicação do RCCTE foi feita com base nas dois documentos do LNEC ITE 28 e ITE 50, respectivamente para o RCCTE de 1990 e para o RCCTE de 2006. Procurar-se-á relativizar o peso dos diferentes elementos da envolvente em termos das perdas e dos ganhos e por fim estimar, para ambas as versões, as necessidades nominais de energia útil para aquecimento e arrefecimento e, para a versão de 2006 ainda as necessidades nominais de energia útil para produção de água quente sanitária e de energia primária.

    Argamassas 2014, Coimbra, 5 e 6 Junho Atualmente, são usadas em coberturas planas tintas de elevada refletância (cool paints), com o intuito de reduzir os ganhos térmicos resultantes da incidência da radiação solar e, consequentemente, melhorar o conforto térmico e a eficiência energética nos edifícios, principalmente em períodos de verão. Tendo em conta o potencial de aplicação destas tintas em fachadas (cool facades), tem sido desenvolvido, um estudo de investigação para avaliar o desempenho térmico de tintas refletantes, sob condições reais de exposição. Nesse sentido, foram aplicadas diversas tintas, na maioria caracterizadas por apresentarem uma elevada reflexão, como revestimento final de uma solução do tipo ETICS nas fachadas de três células experimentais construídas à escala real, no campus do LNEC. Neste trabalho utilizou-se uma dessas células. A escolha de uma tinta a aplicar em sistemas ETICS obedece a vários requisitos, quer estéticos, quer funcionais (tais como a aderência entre camadas do revestimento ou a durabilidade do isolante térmico), fundamentais para o seu bom desempenho. Como este sistema construtivo está sujeito a uma exposição solar prolongada, podem surgir vários problemas, como a degradação da pintura ou das propriedades do isolante térmico, principalmente com cores menos claras. Para avaliar o desempenho térmico das tintas aplicadas recorreu-se ao método de análise não destrutivo de termografia de infravermelhos. A termografia permite conhecer a distribuição de temperatura nas fachadas ao medir a radiação emitida pelas suas superfícies. Como apoio ao diagnóstico termográfico, colocaram-se termopares entre o isolamento térmico e o sistema de pintura das células experimentais. Testes laboratoriais adicionais permitiram a caracterização das propriedades ópticas (reflectância e emitância) das diferentes tintas refletantes utilizadas neste estudo. Da análise comparativa do desempenho térmico de tintas refletantes e convencionais, verificou-se que as tintas refletantes permitem reduzir a temperatura superficial da fachada, diminuindo o risco de perda das propriedades isolantes do sistema ETICS e garantindo a sua melhor funcionalidade e longevidade. A cor da tinta utilizada afeta, naturalmente, a capacidade refletora da superfície, podendo desempenhar um papel importante no balanço energético do edifício. Neste artigo apresentam-se os resultados obtidos neste estudo, nomeadamente, a análise comparativa do desempenho térmico entre tintas refletantes e convencionais, a avaliação do risco de perda das propriedades isolantes do sistema ETICS, e evidenciou-se o potencial da termografia de infravermelhos na avaliação do desempenho térmico de tintas refletantes.

    O reconhecimento do impacto da actividade humana no aquecimento global do planeta conduziu, nos últimos anos, ao lançamento de várias iniciativas nacionais e europeias com vista à redução das emissões de gases promotores de efeito de estufa, bem como da dependência de combustíveis fósseis. A preocupação em tornar mais eficiente a utilização de energia em geral, e da energia eléctrica em particular, tem conduzido à procura de novas soluções para a geração de energia e à adopção de medidas com vista à sensibilização das sociedades para a utilização eficiente dos recursos, incluindo os energéticos. Neste contexto, surgiram nos anos mais recentes conceitos tais como, Cidades Inteligentes e Cidades Sustentáveis, os quais recorrem, de forma natural, a sistemas de energias renováveis para produção de electricidade. O desenvolvimento do conceito de Cidades Inteligentes não foi, contudo, acompanhado do necessário desenvolvimento e disponibilização de metodologias de caracterização e quantificação do potencial energético dos recursos renováveis nas cidades, por forma a promover uma gestão e planeamento adequados dos recursos existentes e o desejável desenvolvimento urbano sustentável. Este trabalho apresenta uma metodologia baseada em tecnologias de informação geográfica que permite a quantificação do potencial renovável existente em meio urbano para a produção de electricidade (eólico e solar fotovoltaico). A metodologia desenvolvida foi aplicada a dois casos de estudo tendo os resultados permitido identificar, de forma simples e estruturada, os locais nas áreas urbanas que apresentam indicadores favoráveis à instalação de sistemas de produção de electricidade a partir de sistemas de microgeração renovável. Este trabalho pretende dar uma contribuição para o futuro planeamento do aproveitamento de energias renováveis em áreas urbanas e construídas num contexto de Cidades Inteligentes.

    Conclusões da conferência, 1931 A Conferência ouviu a exposição dos princípios gerais e das doutrinas respeitantes à protecção dos Monumentos. Apesar da diversidade dos casos específicos em que poderá haver uma solução para cada tipo, constatou-se que nos diferentes Estados representados predomina uma tendência geral para abandonar as restituições integrais e para evitar os riscos pelo estabelecimento da manutenção regular e permanente adequada à conservação dos edifícios. No caso de uma restauração ser indispensável em consequência de degradação ou destruição, é recomendado o respeito pela obra histórica e artística do passado, sem proscrever o estilo de nenhuma época. A Conferência recomenda que se mantenha a ocupação dos monumentos que assegura a continuidade da sua sobrevivência devendo, no entanto, ser utilizados de modo a que se respeite o seu teor histórico ou artístico.

    Neste trabalho indicam-se as principais diferenças que se podem observar ao nível da acção do vento, entre o Regulamento de Segurança e Acções (RSA) e Eurocódigos (EC), quando aplicáveis à análise e dimensionamento de torres. Para tal, procede-se à análise com-parativa de diversos parâmetros, colocando-se comentários gerais sobre cada um deles, para um melhor entendimento sobre a sua abordagem e filosofia. Finalmente, são apresentados, confrontados e discutidos os resultados obtidos de acordo com cada uma das normas mencio-nadas, tendo como base o caso de estudo de uma torre utilizada para radiocomunicações.

    A gafa da oliveira é o principal fator fitopatológico limitante da produção de azeitona em Portugal, ao causar a queda ou mumificação dos frutos, com consequente quebra de produção e/ou depreciação da qualidade do azeite. Apresenta incidência a nível nacional entre 30 e 50%, com uma severidade média de 14%. A gafa é causada por diversas espécies de fungos pertencentes ao género Colletotrichum, sendo C. nymphaeae e C. acutatum sensu stricto as mais virulentas, enquanto C. godetiae e C. fioriniae apresentam virulência intermédia e C. gloeosporioides (entre outras, pouco frequentes) se apresenta menos virulenta. No centro e sul de Portugal prevalece C. nymphaeae, enquanto em Trás-os-Montes C. godetiae é mais frequente. As variações na virulência dependem no entanto da interação com a cultivar. Por exemplo, em ‘Cobrançosa’, C. godetiae apresenta maior virulência do que C. acutatum s.s., contrariando a média geral. As variações na virulência destes agentes patogénicos, a sua interação com as cultivares de oliveira, a sua distribuição geográfica e as recentes dinâmicas populacionais deverão ser tidas em conta e compreendidas para a implementação de medidas de proteção do olival.     Neste trabalho faz-se uma breve apresentação do Projeto “PCMs4Buildings – Sistemas com cavidades retangulares com materiais de mudança de fase (PCMs – “Phase Change Materials”) para o aproveitamento de energia solar térmica em edifícios", dando particular destaque à Tarefa nº 4 em curso no Departamento de Engenharia Civil (DEC) da Universidade de Coimbra (UC). O objetivo principal desta tarefa é o desenvolvimento de um protocolo experimental (que use como ponto de partida a Guarded Hot Box existente no laboratório do DEC), para medir o desempenho térmico de paredes não-homogéneas com estrutura leve em aço enformado a frio (LSF - “Lightweight Steel Framing”) e que incluam PCMs na sua constituição. O protocolo final passará pela medição do comportamento das paredes em LSF em regime transiente, para avaliar de que forma os PCMs podem melhorar o comportamento térmico desta tipologia de construção. Na primeira parte deste artigo, apresentam-se alguns resultados preliminares correspondentes à fase de calibração do ensaio para medição da transferência de calor através de paredes em regime permanente. Para o efeito, foi avaliada a condutibilidade térmica de uma "parede" feita de um material homogéneo com condutibilidade térmica conhecida a priori: o poliestireno extrudido (XPS). É também descrito o ensaio laboratorial efetuado no equipamento Hot Disk TPS 2500 S para validar os resultados obtidos (assim como a comparação direta com a informação fornecida pelo fabricante). Na segunda parte, apresentam-se alguns resultados preliminares dos ensaios realizados para avaliar o desempenho térmico de três paredes em LSF: parede sem isolamento térmico; com isolamento térmico apenas na caixa-de-ar e, finalmente, com isolamento térmico na caixa-de-ar e pelo exterior. Os resultados obtidos permitem conhecer melhor o comportamento das paredes em LSF em estudo, e fornecer resultados experimentais que possam ser usados na simulação numérica da transferência de calor através de paredes em LSF.

    THERMAL PROFILES IN URBAN CANYONS MEASURED WITH CAPTIVE BALLOONS IN THE LISBON DISTRICT OF TELHEIRAS – Captive balloons filled with standard helium and tinytalks (small low price thermal sensors/data loggers) are an effective way to probe the urban atmosphere for microclimatological purposes. This method can be important to establish the transferability of results to other areas with the same urban morphology and can be also an incentive to incorporateurban climate knowledge in urban planning. The first results in an urban canyon in the north of Lisbon are presented.

    A Compreensão de Programas (CP) é uma disciplina da Engenharia de Software destinada a criar modelos, métodos, técnicas e ferramentas, baseadas num processo da aprendizagem e num processo de engenharia, com o objectivo de alcançar um profundo conhecimento dos sistemas de software. O processo da aprendizagem implica a análise da forma como os programadores entendem os programas. Esta temática é bem descrita no contexto dos Modelos Cognitivos. O processo de engenharia necessita de ser abordado através de tópicos como: Métodos de Extracção da Informação, Administração da Informação e Visualizaçãoade Software. A pesquisa em todas estas áreas faz com que seja possível abordar a construção de boas ferramentas de CP. Além disso, esta tarefa dá a possivilidade de inter-relacionar o domínio do programa (componentes de software) e o domínio do problema (comportamento do sistema). Esta última actividade é um dos grandes desafios no contexto da compreensão de programas. Neste artigo, descrevemos as pesquisas e os resultados obtidos nos tópicos descritos nos parágrafos precedentes.     Nesta apresentação faz-se a aplicação, para um mesmo apartamento, do Regulamento das Características do Comportamento dos Edifícios (RCCTE) apresentando em paralelo as metodologias preconizadas nas versões do RCCTE de 1990e de 2006. A análise incide num apartamento de tipologia T1 de um Edifício localizado na cidade de Lisboa (zona climática I1-V2 Sul). O apartamento T1-A constitui uma única zona independente (RCCTE-1990) / fracção autónoma (RCCTE 2006). A caracterização térmica da envolvente para aplicação do RCCTE foi feita com base nas dois documentos do LNEC ITE 28 e ITE 50, respectivamente para o RCCTE de 1990 e para o RCCTE de 2006. Procurar-se-á relativizar o peso dos diferentes elementos da envolvente em termos das perdas e dos ganhos e por fim estimar, para ambas as versões, as necessidades nominais de energia útil para aquecimento e arrefecimento e, para a versão de 2006 ainda as necessidades nominais de energia útil para produção de água quente sanitária e de energia primária.

    Argamassas 2014, Coimbra, 5 e 6 Junho Atualmente, são usadas em coberturas planas tintas de elevada refletância (cool paints), com o intuito de reduzir os ganhos térmicos resultantes da incidência da radiação solar e, consequentemente, melhorar o conforto térmico e a eficiência energética nos edifícios, principalmente em períodos de verão. Tendo em conta o potencial de aplicação destas tintas em fachadas (cool facades), tem sido desenvolvido, um estudo de investigação para avaliar o desempenho térmico de tintas refletantes, sob condições reais de exposição. Nesse sentido, foram aplicadas diversas tintas, na maioria caracterizadas por apresentarem uma elevada reflexão, como revestimento final de uma solução do tipo ETICS nas fachadas de três células experimentais construídas à escala real, no campus do LNEC. Neste trabalho utilizou-se uma dessas células. A escolha de uma tinta a aplicar em sistemas ETICS obedece a vários requisitos, quer estéticos, quer funcionais (tais como a aderência entre camadas do revestimento ou a durabilidade do isolante térmico), fundamentais para o seu bom desempenho. Como este sistema construtivo está sujeito a uma exposição solar prolongada, podem surgir vários problemas, como a degradação da pintura ou das propriedades do isolante térmico, principalmente com cores menos claras. Para avaliar o desempenho térmico das tintas aplicadas recorreu-se ao método de análise não destrutivo de termografia de infravermelhos. A termografia permite conhecer a distribuição de temperatura nas fachadas ao medir a radiação emitida pelas suas superfícies. Como apoio ao diagnóstico termográfico, colocaram-se termopares entre o isolamento térmico e o sistema de pintura das células experimentais. Testes laboratoriais adicionais permitiram a caracterização das propriedades ópticas (reflectância e emitância) das diferentes tintas refletantes utilizadas neste estudo. Da análise comparativa do desempenho térmico de tintas refletantes e convencionais, verificou-se que as tintas refletantes permitem reduzir a temperatura superficial da fachada, diminuindo o risco de perda das propriedades isolantes do sistema ETICS e garantindo a sua melhor funcionalidade e longevidade. A cor da tinta utilizada afeta, naturalmente, a capacidade refletora da superfície, podendo desempenhar um papel importante no balanço energético do edifício. Neste artigo apresentam-se os resultados obtidos neste estudo, nomeadamente, a análise comparativa do desempenho térmico entre tintas refletantes e convencionais, a avaliação do risco de perda das propriedades isolantes do sistema ETICS, e evidenciou-se o potencial da termografia de infravermelhos na avaliação do desempenho térmico de tintas refletantes.

    O reconhecimento do impacto da actividade humana no aquecimento global do planeta conduziu, nos últimos anos, ao lançamento de várias iniciativas nacionais e europeias com vista à redução das emissões de gases promotores de efeito de estufa, bem como da dependência de combustíveis fósseis. A preocupação em tornar mais eficiente a utilização de energia em geral, e da energia eléctrica em particular, tem conduzido à procura de novas soluções para a geração de energia e à adopção de medidas com vista à sensibilização das sociedades para a utilização eficiente dos recursos, incluindo os energéticos. Neste contexto, surgiram nos anos mais recentes conceitos tais como, Cidades Inteligentes e Cidades Sustentáveis, os quais recorrem, de forma natural, a sistemas de energias renováveis para produção de electricidade. O desenvolvimento do conceito de Cidades Inteligentes não foi, contudo, acompanhado do necessário desenvolvimento e disponibilização de metodologias de caracterização e quantificação do potencial energético dos recursos renováveis nas cidades, por forma a promover uma gestão e planeamento adequados dos recursos existentes e o desejável desenvolvimento urbano sustentável. Este trabalho apresenta uma metodologia baseada em tecnologias de informação geográfica que permite a quantificação do potencial renovável existente em meio urbano para a produção de electricidade (eólico e solar fotovoltaico). A metodologia desenvolvida foi aplicada a dois casos de estudo tendo os resultados permitido identificar, de forma simples e estruturada, os locais nas áreas urbanas que apresentam indicadores favoráveis à instalação de sistemas de produção de electricidade a partir de sistemas de microgeração renovável. Este trabalho pretende dar uma contribuição para o futuro planeamento do aproveitamento de energias renováveis em áreas urbanas e construídas num contexto de Cidades Inteligentes.

    Conclusões da conferência, 1931 A Conferência ouviu a exposição dos princípios gerais e das doutrinas respeitantes à protecção dos Monumentos. Apesar da diversidade dos casos específicos em que poderá haver uma solução para cada tipo, constatou-se que nos diferentes Estados representados predomina uma tendência geral para abandonar as restituições integrais e para evitar os riscos pelo estabelecimento da manutenção regular e permanente adequada à conservação dos edifícios. No caso de uma restauração ser indispensável em consequência de degradação ou destruição, é recomendado o respeito pela obra histórica e artística do passado, sem proscrever o estilo de nenhuma época. A Conferência recomenda que se mantenha a ocupação dos monumentos que assegura a continuidade da sua sobrevivência devendo, no entanto, ser utilizados de modo a que se respeite o seu teor histórico ou artístico.

    Neste trabalho indicam-se as principais diferenças que se podem observar ao nível da acção do vento, entre o Regulamento de Segurança e Acções (RSA) e Eurocódigos (EC), quando aplicáveis à análise e dimensionamento de torres. Para tal, procede-se à análise com-parativa de diversos parâmetros, colocando-se comentários gerais sobre cada um deles, para um melhor entendimento sobre a sua abordagem e filosofia. Finalmente, são apresentados, confrontados e discutidos os resultados obtidos de acordo com cada uma das normas mencio-nadas, tendo como base o caso de estudo de uma torre utilizada para radiocomunicações.

    A gafa da oliveira é o principal fator fitopatológico limitante da produção de azeitona em Portugal, ao causar a queda ou mumificação dos frutos, com consequente quebra de produção e/ou depreciação da qualidade do azeite. Apresenta incidência a nível nacional entre 30 e 50%, com uma severidade média de 14%. A gafa é causada por diversas espécies de fungos pertencentes ao género Colletotrichum, sendo C. nymphaeae e C. acutatum sensu stricto as mais virulentas, enquanto C. godetiae e C. fioriniae apresentam virulência intermédia e C. gloeosporioides (entre outras, pouco frequentes) se apresenta menos virulenta. No centro e sul de Portugal prevalece C. nymphaeae, enquanto em Trás-os-Montes C. godetiae é mais frequente. As variações na virulência dependem no entanto da interação com a cultivar. Por exemplo, em ‘Cobrançosa’, C. godetiae apresenta maior virulência do que C. acutatum s.s., contrariando a média geral. As variações na virulência destes agentes patogénicos, a sua interação com as cultivares de oliveira, a sua distribuição geográfica e as recentes dinâmicas populacionais deverão ser tidas em conta e compreendidas para a implementação de medidas de proteção do olival.     Neste trabalho faz-se uma breve apresentação do Projeto “PCMs4Buildings – Sistemas com cavidades retangulares com materiais de mudança de fase (PCMs – “Phase Change Materials”) para o aproveitamento de energia solar térmica em edifícios", dando particular destaque à Tarefa nº 4 em curso no Departamento de Engenharia Civil (DEC) da Universidade de Coimbra (UC). O objetivo principal desta tarefa é o desenvolvimento de um protocolo experimental (que use como ponto de partida a Guarded Hot Box existente no laboratório do DEC), para medir o desempenho térmico de paredes não-homogéneas com estrutura leve em aço enformado a frio (LSF - “Lightweight Steel Framing”) e que incluam PCMs na sua constituição. O protocolo final passará pela medição do comportamento das paredes em LSF em regime transiente, para avaliar de que forma os PCMs podem melhorar o comportamento térmico desta tipologia de construção. Na primeira parte deste artigo, apresentam-se alguns resultados preliminares correspondentes à fase de calibração do ensaio para medição da transferência de calor através de paredes em regime permanente. Para o efeito, foi avaliada a condutibilidade térmica de uma "parede" feita de um material homogéneo com condutibilidade térmica conhecida a priori: o poliestireno extrudido (XPS). É também descrito o ensaio laboratorial efetuado no equipamento Hot Disk TPS 2500 S para validar os resultados obtidos (assim como a comparação direta com a informação fornecida pelo fabricante). Na segunda parte, apresentam-se alguns resultados preliminares dos ensaios realizados para avaliar o desempenho térmico de três paredes em LSF: parede sem isolamento térmico; com isolamento térmico apenas na caixa-de-ar e, finalmente, com isolamento térmico na caixa-de-ar e pelo exterior. Os resultados obtidos permitem conhecer melhor o comportamento das paredes em LSF em estudo, e fornecer resultados experimentais que possam ser usados na simulação numérica da transferência de calor através de paredes em LSF.

    THERMAL PROFILES IN URBAN CANYONS MEASURED WITH CAPTIVE BALLOONS IN THE LISBON DISTRICT OF TELHEIRAS – Captive balloons filled with standard helium and tinytalks (small low price thermal sensors/data loggers) are an effective way to probe the urban atmosphere for microclimatological purposes. This method can be important to establish the transferability of results to other areas with the same urban morphology and can be also an incentive to incorporateurban climate knowledge in urban planning. The first results in an urban canyon in the north of Lisbon are presented.
