N. Eshpulatov in OpenAIREAbstract In order to improve the energy characteristics for low-power ozone generators, it is proposed to use a continuous discharge burning mode. It is due to a significant phase shift between the currents and voltages on the ozone generator. Conditions for conducting the continuous discharge mode were identified.

Recent studies show that hybrid powertrains with dual clutch transmission are becoming more common. This is mainly influenced by the fact that they have higher efficiency, allow power-on shifting, and are more compact. However, the electric motor attached to the primary shaft of the transmission might represent some critical issues in statics and dynamics due to additional torque, inertia, and working irregularities. This paper aims to investigate the influence of the electric motor integration in the transmission on the reliability of the overall system. The focus is on the investigation of potential over stresses of the ICE bearings due to the bending of the gearbox primary shaft. To achieve the aim, the static and the rotor dynamic analysis of the inner and outer primary shafts is performed. The numerical analyses show the potential critical issues that can arise from the excessive manufacturing and assembling tolerances, the interaction of the e-machine torque irregularities and inertia with the bending dynamics of the primary shafts.

LTD Ukrinformnauka) (Publications) Authors: B.S. Yuldashev; F.R. Kungurov; S.A Baytelesov; The paper presents calculations of the thermal power distribution in the reactor core (RC) of the WWR-SM research nuclear reactor of the Institute of Nuclear Physics of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan, settlement Ulugbek, Tashkent, both for all fuel assemblies loaded into the core and for each fuel element of a separate fuel assembly. These calculations were carried out for RC configurations with a different number of fuel assemblies – 18, 20, and 24. The power distribution reactor core was performed using the IRT-2D code. A detailed simulation of the power distribution in the fuel element was performed using the MCNP4C code, while the fuel elements were modeled as square pipes with straight angles without rounding. The power distribution was calculated for each side of each fuel tube and divided into 15 axial nodes. The results of modeling of the thermal-hydraulic state were obtained using the PLTEMP code for various RC configurations. In the calculations, it was assumed, that the inlet water temperature is 45 and 48 °C for all RC configurations, the heat hydraulic parameters were taken from the calculation of the flow rate of the first circuit through the core 1250 m3/h. An analysis of the thermal power distribution of nuclear fuel in the reactor core of the WWR-SM research reactor showed that even with a conservative approach, permissible operating modes are not exceeded. During the operation of the three main circulation pumps, which provide the coolant flow through the core at the level of 1250 m3/h, the heat exchange crisis does not occur in the most energy-stressed fuel assemblies, namely, the temperature of the fuel rod clad and coolant remains below the permissible limits.

Abstract The JET 2019–2020 scientific and technological programme exploited the results of years of concerted scientific and engineering work, including the ITER-like wall (ILW: Be wall and W divertor) installed in 2010, improved diagnostic capabilities now fully available, a major neutral beam injection upgrade providing record power in 2019–2020, and tested the technical and procedural preparation for safe operation with tritium. Research along three complementary axes yielded a wealth of new results. Firstly, the JET plasma programme delivered scenarios suitable for high fusion power and alpha particle (α) physics in the coming D–T campaign (DTE2), with record sustained neutron rates, as well as plasmas for clarifying the impact of isotope mass on plasma core, edge and plasma-wall interactions, and for ITER pre-fusion power operation. The efficacy of the newly installed shattered pellet injector for mitigating disruption forces and runaway electrons was demonstrated. Secondly, research on the consequences of long-term exposure to JET-ILW plasma was completed, with emphasis on wall damage and fuel retention, and with analyses of wall materials and dust particles that will help validate assumptions and codes for design and operation of ITER and DEMO. Thirdly, the nuclear technology programme aiming to deliver maximum technological return from operations in D, T and D–T benefited from the highest D–D neutron yield in years, securing results for validating radiation transport and activation codes, and nuclear data for ITER.

Ihtisham ul Haq in OpenAIREAs a consequence of globalization, the world’s economies are merging; nonetheless, concerns about how globalization trends may harm the environment locally and worldwide are growing. The globalization-environment nexus has now become a contentious issue among policymakers. As a result, several empirical research studies on the globalization-environment nexus have been conducted. In the context of the environmental Kuznets curve theory, this study explores the influence of globalization on environmental deterioration in Kazakhstan (EKC). Furthermore, energy is a control variable in this research. Unit roots and structural break are used to solve the issue of non-stationarity in time series. The autoregressive distributed lagged (ARDL) model is used in this research for long run relationships between variables as well as to estimate long run and short run coefficients. Income, energy, and globalization are discovered to have a long-term link. Furthermore, the findings revealed that long-term environmental deterioration was exacerbated by economic, political, and social globalization, since these factors were shown to have a positive impact on carbon emissions in Kazakhstan. Energy is to blame for environmental damage both in the short and long term. Furthermore, this research reveals that the EKC theory exists in Kazakhstan. On the basis of the findings, policy suggestions are made.

When implementing low-power solar power plants in Uzbekistan, a certain amount of land resources is required (for installing solar panels). From the point of view of respect for natural capital (saving land resources), the method of installing solar panels directly above the surface of water basins based on the corresponding maps of water basins is technically and economically effective. The methodological basis of the research is the results of researchers work on the problems of land relations and land management. In the research, a systematic approach to the analysis of land use has been chosen, in which a variety of tools were used to determine the essence of the analyzed phenomena, processes and patterns. In recent years, industry has been rapidly developing in rural areas of the Yangiyul district of Tashkent Province of Uzbekistan. In this regard, the problems of effective use of land resources, especially targeted use of irrigated land, has become urgent. This means that in the future there will be problems when allocating land for the installation of low-power solar power plants.

Khurshid Khudoykulov in OpenAIRENumerous nations' policies have integrated the imperative of restraining the expansion of CO2 emissions, recognizing the increasingly dire and unmanageable consequences it entails. Despite empirical literature identifying diverse drivers of CO2, the impact of national security, healthcare, entitlement programs, and total petroleum stocks has largely been overlooked. Thus, this study aims to bridge this gap by investigating, for the first time, the role of these economic variables in determining whether they contribute to CO2 reduction or escalation in the United States. To evaluate the interconnections among these variables, this study utilizes monthly data spanning from 1985 to 2022. Employing contemporary quantile approaches like Recursive CQ correlations, Cross-Quantilogram, and nonparametric quantile causality, the study effectively accommodates the nonlinear nature of the variables. These analytical techniques offer a comprehensive assessment of the relationships among the variables under scrutiny. The outcomes of the Cross-Quantilogram analysis reveal that health care, national security, and entitlement programs enhance ecological quality at different quantiles. Conversely, total petroleum stocks are associated with ecological deterioration. Based on these results, the study recommends a focus on raising awareness regarding sustainable procurement strategies, embracing environmentally friendly technologies, and improving energy efficiency in healthcare facilities.

The aim of the present research is to assess the impact of factors such as welfare, infrastructure, security, and the environment on inbound tourism as well as to develop its forecast. Six proxy indicators of the above-mentioned factors were selected as variables, namely, welfare (real GDP per capita, life expectancy, consumer price index), infrastructure (passenger transportation volume), security (total recorded crimes), and the environment (CO2 emissions). We used a time series-univariate ARIMA model to forecast the inbound tourism in the Republic of Uzbekistan, and applied the ARDL model to assess the impact of lagged real GDP per capita on inbound tourism in both the short and long terms. The results of our research show that security and welfare significantly affect the inflow of foreign tourists in the country, along with the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic crisis, the effects of which are expected to persist beyond 2026.
