description Publicationkeyboard_double_arrow_right Article , Conference object 2020Publisher:ACM Authors: Alejandro Catala; João Araújo; Patricia Lago; Nelly Condori-Fernandez;[Abstract] A number of software systems that attempt to help people achieve behavior change have been proposed in various domains such as health and wellness. However, sometimes, such systems have failed to provide a satisfactory or sustainable User Experience (UX), as it is observed when users may be reluctant to respond to the activation of the systems' changing demands. Moreover, a negative User Experience (UX) can be exposed by Behavior Change Support Systems (BCSS) if designers do not have clear understanding of the requirements that factually help changing the user behavior that accomplishes a sustainability goal. We first explored the Persuasive System Design (PSD) model that should be considered in UX assessment of BCSSs. Then, we propose a requirements discovery process that can be considered to redesign a software interactive system based on negative UX. The present study is a Systematic Bibliographic Review (SBR) that verified how Additive Manufacturing/3D Printing technology is being associated with sustainability in scientific productions in Brazil. The sixteen (16) selected papers were published in Encontro de Sustentabilidade em Projeto (ENSUS), Congresso Brasileiro de Pesquisa e Desenvolvimento em Design (P&D Design), Simpósio de Design Sustentável (SDS) annals and Mix Sustentável magazine, between the years 2018 to 2023. The results show (1) papers analysis, aiming to identify its central themes, most recurrent were : Product-Service System (PSS), Waste Reduction, Ecodesign and Recycling ; (2) Keywords definition, most used being "3D Printing", "Additive Manufacturing", "Biomimicry", "Filaments" and "Recycling" ; (3) understanding studies focus through Design for Sustainability strategies ; (4) guidelines for applying 3D printing sustainably. In the last few years, sustainability has become one of the priority lines for many companies and organizations, especially public administrations. This trend has been even more evident in some regions where the preservation of natural resources is of utmost importance, not only from an environmental perspective, but also from an economic one. In this context, technology has become one of the key factors to achieve sustainability goals. An example of these technologies are Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) which are being used more and more with sustainability purposes. However, although some efforts have been made to propose software approaches to model sustainability, some examples that model the impact of technology on sustainability are still needed. This paper presents an instance of a sustainability metamodel for the UAVs domain. This model allows to specify the impact of UAV-based processes on sustainability, and also to identify potential limitations that may hinder its applicability. Finally, the paper provides some suggestions to complete the metamodel based on the instantiation process.
