Estado Nutricional. Composição corporal. ABSTRACT Feed and anthropometric analysis of a handball team in the junior category The present study aimed to evaluate the anthropometric profile and feed status of handball players in Category Junior team of Franca SP. Participated study 12 male athletes, aged 18 to 21 years. To assist in the collection, a questionnaire was built, with the issues to be researched in the records of the Nutrition Clinic at the University of Franca and the variables studied were: anthropometric, through analysis exam of bioelectrical impedance, power consumption of macronutrients fibers and calcium, evaluated through the Diet Pro5i®. For data analysis, was used outtest Student t. In relation to the data of the current weight and average weight of lean body mass, there is no significant difference in the pattern of normality. The fat percentage current 14.23 Kg ± 4.65, is higher than the average percentage of fat ideal 11.50 Kg± 1.86 (p= 0,0810). The percentage of adequacy of macronutrient dietary pattern of athletes, if they are within the standard in accordance with the analysis and statistics. The consumption of dietary fiber 41,74g±22.03 is appropriate standards according to the DRIs specific reference in consumption of 38g per day. The calcium intake in mg is significantly below the reference value specified with statistical significance (p < 0.0001). It is proposed that future study with the athletes and staff advocate the practice of education or nutritional intervention in athletes and their possible effects on the quality of muscle tissue, in sports performance, improvement of the quality of the diet and correction of nutritional deficiencies identified in the study.

THERMAL PROFILES IN URBAN CANYONS MEASURED WITH CAPTIVE BALLOONS IN THE LISBON DISTRICT OF TELHEIRAS – Captive balloons filled with standard helium and tinytalks (small low price thermal sensors/data loggers) are an effective way to probe the urban atmosphere for microclimatological purposes. This method can be important to establish the transferability of results to other areas with the same urban morphology and can be also an incentive to incorporateurban climate knowledge in urban planning. The first results in an urban canyon in the north of Lisbon are presented.
