The main objective of the paper was to determine the significance of particular methods of supporting women's entrepreneurship in Greater Poland. Five groups of such support have been identified: socio-cultural, promotional and informational, financial, institutional, consulting and training. This led to identifying gaps in existing support and to finding the most significant support for entrepreneurial women. The study revealed a discrepancy between the assessment carried out by experts, students and women entrepreneurs. Owners of enterprises’ opinions show that the available forms of support are not as useful as it might seem from the perspective of researchers and potential owners. There are also forms of support that are not used by the female owners.

Implementation of professional practice in the course of education process at universities is an important element allowing students to strengthen the knowledge they gained, to acquire relevant skills and to form positive personality traits. The aim of the paper is to evaluate the quality of professional practice in students’ opinion on the basis of the onshore professional practice organized at the Commodity Science and Quality Management specialization at the Faculty of Entrepreneurship and Quality Science at the Gdynia Maritime University. The article presents general rules of organizing practice and it analyses survey questionnaires filled in by students following the realization of the professional practice in the years 2014–2016. Additionally, the results of the students’ perception of the practice are compared with the assessment as granted by the host companies concerning the apprentices’ profiles as future employees of the industry. The conducted analysis allowed to suggest measures to improve the implementation of professional practice at the Commodity Science and Quality Management specialization at the Gdynia Maritime University.

The concept of energy transition can be interpreted in different ways depending on the nature of the agent involved. However, practitioners and existing literature agree that a country’s energy transition is the variation of fossil fuel share in the total primary energy supply (TPES). Public policies mostly focus on changing the energy mix directly or indirectly. However, the production of fossil fuels depends mostly on market-related determinants, including prices and investment in the means of production. But what is the contribution of global energy transition? The objective of this paper is to estimate to which extent public policies related to energy transition affect fossil fuel production in producing countries. For this purpose, we consider as a proxy of energy transition the evolution over 40 years of the TPES of a large panel of fossil fuel–exporting countries, which we compare to its total primary energy production (TPEP). Moreover, we analyze these effects to determine if they differ according to country characteristics, such as its level of development or its membership in OPEC. Finally, we describe the long-run and short-run effects by studying separately the effects of production investments and those of R&D investments in RES technologies. In recent years, in order to promote the independent development of the new energy vehicle industry, Chinese government has decided to reduce the consumption subsidies for new energy vehicles until the subsidies are completely withdrawn. The reduction of consumption subsidy has a great impact on the production and sales of new energy vehicles in the whole vehicle market. However, does the reduction of this subsidy also have an impact on other enterprises in the new energy vehicles industry chain? This paper tests this problem using data from 2016 to 2018, and finds, through empirical analysis, that during the period of subsidy decline, the profitability of component enterprises is significantly positively correlated with this subsidies, while the r&d investment of enterprises is significantly negatively correlated with this subsidies. The results show that in terms of profitability, the reduction of consumer subsidies not only has an impact on the whole vehicle industry of new energy vehicles, but also has an adverse impact on the core component companies in the industrial chain. However, in terms of r&d, the reduction of subsidies has more negatively strengthened the input and attention of R&D in component companies.

The purpose of this article is to answer the question whether the companies involved in public procurement are active innovatively and to what extent due zama-tracting are forced to apply innovative solutions in tendering procedures-weight. To answer these questions used a survey conducted on a sample of 579 entrepreneurs who have managed to win the tender.

The aim of this article is to present the results of the research conducted by the authors that focus on the search for the impact of sales coverage of small and micro-enterprises, as representatives of the SME sector, upon the innovative activity within the West Pomeranian regional innovation system. The indirect object of this research is to indicate the boundary conditions in the model structure of the regional network of innovation. The research focused on 544 small and micro entities from the Western Pomerania that responded to a questionnaire. This research has used logit modelling (probability theory), for it is an effective research tool for many statistic data with the dependent variable of a qualitative nature. The results confirmed the relationship between sales coverage in small and micro-entities, and their innovation activities in Polish regions such as the Western Pomerania.

Goal of the contribution is to explain evaluation of economical environment that firms must respect during their business activity.External environment of mining firm includes except others technological development, economical situation, legislative by the wayof regulation, but in last time also stimulations from the government, competition behavior and other. Contribution is dealing also withenergetical effectiveness in the frame of economical evaluation applied in conditions of Slovak republic.The renewable energy sources are domestic sources of energy that help to enhance the safety of energy suppliesand the diversification of energy sources. The renewable energy is proved to be commercially viable for a growing list of consumersand uses. The renewable energy technologies provide many benefits that go well beyond the energy alone. More and more,the renewable energies contribute to the three pillars of the sustainable development in the economy, environment and the society.

The empowerment of women is very much needed for the development of a country. Thus various provisions are made under the act and its guidelines which ensure that women have equitable and easy access to work, decent working conditions, equal payment of wages and representation on decision making process. However, the women of Kerala are socio-economically empowered when compared to women in other states due to their involvement in Self Help Groups. In this context, the paper analyse the contribution of MGNREGA in empowering women socially and economically and the constraints faced by them.

The purpose of this paper is to carryout few general strategies into consideration which can be utilized by business owners for success of their businesses. Every entrepreneur has different thinking and ideas. Strategies are developed with market familiarity and practices which make businesses sound in the market. Moreover, strategies of an entrepreneur seem to be helpful tool in business success and economic growth. The strategies discussed in this paper are helpful for SMEs (Small and Medium Enterprises) in their economic development. General strategies considered in this paper are product, market and process innovation, benchmarking and quality of products. In addition, this research is based on primary data which was collected from different SME\'s in Sindh, Pakistan through questionnaires. Moreover, data was statistically analyzed. Results indicate that entrepreneurs of SMEs consider quality of product, bench marking and market innovations as more significant whereas; product and process innovations as less significant. The findings of this paper support the previous relevant studies, which also help in identifying new approaches to success of businesses by applying strategies as discussed in this research.

Institutional environment including public authorities plays a key role in creating conditions for the development of small and medium-sized enterprises in the regions. It is very important to strengthen the social capital. Its state and relations in the context of the wider institutional infrastructure make up the quality of the business environment. The current EU policy and the contemporary development models assign a special function to the institutions and public administration, and particularly emphasize their role in the activation designed to exploit local growth factors. In the Wielkopolska region in recent years there has been a significant growth of the business supporting institutions, including financial institutions offering support in enhancing innovation in small and medium-sized enterprises. There is a significant concentration of these institutions in the economic center of the region. Knowledge about these institutions is inadequate and evaluation of their quality and service shows that their potential is not properly used. That is why the existence of a significant information gap between the institutional environment and the sector of small and medium-sized enterprises in the Wielkopolska region must be assumed.
