Bushuev;The paper reveals the problems of management organizing of functioning and development of smart metropolis (Smart City) integrated with the power supply system. A lot of attention is paid to ways of solving these problems through the implementation of Smart Grid technologies and practices taking into account the SoS (system of systems) approach. In the context of this research work, the Smart Grid is considered as one of the first SoS subsystems of the Smart City. A concept of a new electrical network is also presented in the paper. This electrical network has qualitatively unique characteristics of adaptability, stability, and throughput, allowing to ensure reliable and uninterrupted power supply to consumers in the new conditions of rapid and stochastic changes in generation and consumption volumes, as well as the multidirectional nature of information and electricity flows (from the consumer to the network).

Since 2017, the capacities of introduced renewable energy sources in the world have exceeded the volumes of commissioned capacities of traditional energy. The transition from traditional energy technologies to renewable energy sources (RES), which are becoming more profitable from an economic point of view and can minimize the negative impact of energy on the environment, is being phased. This article gives a review of the prospects of application of the combined schemes using renewable energy sources to generate energy. The paper discusses the most important areas of energy development in our country.

The proposed modelling was performed based on the developed mathematical algorithm for studying the influence of turbulent vortex motions on the processes of atmospheric cooling of circulating water in countercurrent cooling towers of power plants. According to the simulation results, the optimal heat exchange modes of cooling towers operation are determined and recommendations for the practical implementation of measures to improve their thermal efficiency in hot periods of the year are proposed.

The authors propose a kind of floating power aggregate, where wind flow energy is converted into water flow energy that allows reducing dimensions of an energy transformer. The authors created a simulator of a wind-driven machine that transformed energy of both environs and performed experiments. The simulator was made as a catamaran that performed cyclical movements along an arc of a ring within the designated angular interval. The article presents the results of these researches.

The proposed modelling was performed based on the developed mathematical algorithm for studying the influence of turbulent vortex motions on the processes of atmospheric cooling of circulating water in countercurrent cooling towers of power plants. According to the simulation results, the optimal heat exchange modes of cooling towers operation are determined and recommendations for the practical implementation of measures to improve their thermal efficiency in hot periods of the year are proposed.

The authors propose a kind of floating power aggregate, where wind flow energy is converted into water flow energy that allows reducing dimensions of an energy transformer. The authors created a simulator of a wind-driven machine that transformed energy of both environs and performed experiments. The simulator was made as a catamaran that performed cyclical movements along an arc of a ring within the designated angular interval. The article presents the results of these researches.
