The implementation of the relevant management system makes the road-parking behavior standardized, while increasing the difficulty of temporary parking of operational vehicles such as taxis. Therefore, in order to improve the relevant management measures and promote the sustainable development of the taxi industry, it is necessary to survey the demand for taxi parking and study the layout of taxi stops. To process the GPS data of the taxis, and to extract the loading and unloading positions of the passengers from the spatial trajectory data, big data analysis technology is used. Compared with the data obtained using traditional survey means, the spatial trajectory data reflects the situation of the whole system, which can make the analysis more accurate. K-means cluster analysis was used to determine community demand. Finally, the immune optimization model was used to determine the optimal taxi stand location. The problem of taxi stand location at the level of urban network from two dimensions of quantity and spatial distribution is solved in this paper. The location of 10 taxi stands can not only meet the parking needs of regional taxis, but also reasonably allocate urban resources and promote sustainable development. This study also has a certain reference value for relevant management departments.

With the ever-increasing demand for transport in modern cities, emissions from urban transport are rising. The proportion of carbon emissions in exhaust gas accounts for a large share of society’s total carbon emissions and is increasing. Therefore, urban transport has a sustainable responsibility to reduce carbon emissions. Investigating the factors that influence carbon emissions from transport has become an important practical issue that needs to be addressed. This paper adopts a “bottom-up” theoretical calculation method of transport carbon emissions and establishes the basic distribution model of inter-modal land use around rail transit stations. It clarifies the connection mode of rail transit stations and establishes the distribution model of carbon emission of stations under different building distribution modes, suggesting the planning of building distribution patterns around rail transit stations. This paper proposes a new method to analyze the influencing factors of carbon emissions at rail transit stations based on multi-modal spatial data in order to make full use of the dense characteristics of rail transit stations and reduce carbon emissions.

SummaryDue to the growth of applications and the integration of new customers into the world of computing systems, computing needs to be changed and to become more powerful and flexible than before. Meanwhile, cloud computing is presented as a model beyond a system that is currently capable of answering most request needs. Flexible infrastructure for cloud computing and virtualization technology provide new features to support business activities. Clouds are a very important topic that used secure management tools for storage, security and securing data centers in a flexible manner. One of the important matters in cloud technologies is virtual machine migration (VMM). There are different ways to implement the VMM, but because of the limitation of resources' energy, energy management is also very important and challenging. Due to the NP‐hard nature of this problem, this paper presents an energy‐aware VMM engine for cloud computing using the discrete bacterial foraging algorithm as a new collective behavior‐based metaheuristics algorithm. The CloudSim simulator is employed to investigate the efficiency of this method. The obtained results have shown that the proposed method improves the energy consumption and the migration count.

Elephants are one of the largest animals on earth and are found in forests, grasslands and savannahs in the tropical and subtropical regions of Asia and Africa. A country like India, especially the northeastern region, is covered by deep forests and is home to many elephants. Railroads are an effective and inexpensive means of transporting goods and passengers in this region. Due to poor visibility in the forests, collisions between trains and elephants are increasing day by day. In the last ten years, more than 190 elephants died due to train accidents. The most effective solution to this collision problem is to stop the train immediately. To address this sensitive issue, a solution is needed to detect and monitor elephants near railroad tracks and analyze data from the camera trap near the intersection of elephant corridors and railroad tracks. In this paper, we have developed a fog computing-based framework that not only detects and monitors the elephants but also improves the latency, network utilization and execution time. The fog-enabled elephant monitoring system informs the train control system of the existence of elephants in the corridor and a warning light LED flashes near the train tracks. This system is deployed and simulated in the iFogSim simulator and shows improvements in latency, network utilization, and execution time compared to cloud-based infrastructures.

The conventional education system in developing countries has been enhanced recently by implementing the latest technology of distributed ledger. Disruptive technology is a fundamental requirement for greater accountability and visibility. We explored the key factors affecting the intentions of educational institutions to use blockchain technology for e-learning. This study proposed an expanded model of Technology Acceptance Model by integrating the diffusion of innovation theory. Based on an online survey, the conceptual model was tested and validated using structural equation modeling. The results showed that compatibility had a significant impact on blockchain use in smart learning environments. Other significant effects were also found on adoption of blockchain technology. This study offers an expanded Technology Acceptance Model for implementing blockchain that could assist decision makers in building a smart learning environment for the educational institutes for the emerging economies.

With the rapid advancement of Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) technology, UAV swarms are being extensively applied in various fields, such as intelligent transportation, search and rescue, logistics delivery, and aerial mapping. However, the utilization of UAV swarms in sustainable transportation also presents some challenges, such as inefficient task allocation and data transmission security issues, highlighting the importance of privacy protection in this context. To address these issues, this study applies blockchain technology to multi-UAV tasks and proposes a blockchain-based multi-UAV task processing system for situation awareness and real-time decisions. The primary objective of this system is to enhance the efficiency of UAV swarm task scheduling, bolster data transmission security, and address privacy protection concerns. Utilizing the highly secure features of blockchain technology, the system constructs a distributed task processing network. System tasks are stored in the blockchain through smart contracts, ensuring the immutability and verifiability of task information. Smart contracts have an automatic execution capability, whereby the system can efficiently coordinate tasks and maintain the consistency of task execution information through consensus mechanisms. Additionally, adopting the Pointer Network structure for intelligent path planning based on task allocation results leads to the attainment of the shortest service routes, consequently expanding the service coverage of sustainable transportation systems while reducing energy consumption. This further advances the realization of urban sustainable transportation. Through experimental results, we verify that the proposed system enables real-time task scheduling and collaborative processing for multiple UAVs, significantly enhancing the efficiency, security, and privacy protection level of UAV swarm task execution in the context of sustainable transportation. It makes a positive contribution to building more sustainable urban transportation systems.

To protect the electromagnetic environment and understand its current state in a timely manner, monitoring the electromagnetic environment has great practical significance, while massive amounts of data are generated. It is crucial to utilize data mining technology to extract valuable information from these massive amounts of data for effective spectrum management. Traditional spectrum prediction methods do not integrate the prior information of spectrum resource occupancy, so that the prediction of the channel state of a single frequency point is of limited significance. To address these issues, the paper describes a dynamic threshold algorithm which mines bottom noise and spectrum resource occupancy from massive electromagnetic environment data. Moreover, the paper describes a joint time-frequency spectrum resource prediction algorithm based on the time-frequency block residual LSTM (TFBRL) network, which utilizes hourly time closeness, daily period, and annual trend as prior knowledge of spectrum resources. The TFBRL network comprises three main parts: (1) a residual convolution network with a squeeze-and-excitation (SE) attention mechanism, (2) a long short term memory (LSTM) model with memory ability to capture sequence latent information, and (3) a feature fusion module based on a matrix to combine time closeness, daily period, and annual trend feature components. Experimental results demonstrate that the TFBRL network outperforms the baseline networks, improving by 31.37%, 16.00% and 13.06% compared with the best baseline for MSE, RMSE and MAE, respectively. Thus, the TFBRL network has good risk prediction performance and lays the foundation for subsequent frequency scheduling.

Therefore, in order to improve the relevant management measures and promote the sustainable development of the taxi industry, it is necessary to survey the demand for taxi parking and study the layout of taxi stops. To process the GPS data of the taxis, and to extract the loading and unloading positions of the passengers from the spatial trajectory data, big data analysis technology is used. Compared with the data obtained using traditional survey means, the spatial trajectory data reflects the situation of the whole system, which can make the analysis more accurate. K-means cluster analysis was used to determine community demand. Finally, the immune optimization model was used to determine the optimal taxi stand location. The problem of taxi stand location at the level of urban network from two dimensions of quantity and spatial distribution is solved in this paper. The location of 10 taxi stands can not only meet the parking needs of regional taxis, but also reasonably allocate urban resources and promote sustainable development. This study also has a certain reference value for relevant management departments.

With the ever-increasing demand for transport in modern cities, emissions from urban transport are rising. The proportion of carbon emissions in exhaust gas accounts for a large share of society’s total carbon emissions and is increasing. Therefore, urban transport has a sustainable responsibility to reduce carbon emissions. Investigating the factors that influence carbon emissions from transport has become an important practical issue that needs to be addressed. This paper adopts a “bottom-up” theoretical calculation method of transport carbon emissions and establishes the basic distribution model of inter-modal land use around rail transit stations. It clarifies the connection mode of rail transit stations and establishes the distribution model of carbon emission of stations under different building distribution modes, suggesting the planning of building distribution patterns around rail transit stations. This paper proposes a new method to analyze the influencing factors of carbon emissions at rail transit stations based on multi-modal spatial data in order to make full use of the dense characteristics of rail transit stations and reduce carbon emissions.

SummaryDue to the growth of applications and the integration of new customers into the world of computing systems, computing needs to be changed and to become more powerful and flexible than before. Meanwhile, cloud computing is presented as a model beyond a system that is currently capable of answering most request needs. Flexible infrastructure for cloud computing and virtualization technology provide new features to support business activities. Clouds are a very important topic that used secure management tools for storage, security and securing data centers in a flexible manner. One of the important matters in cloud technologies is virtual machine migration (VMM). There are different ways to implement the VMM, but because of the limitation of resources' energy, energy management is also very important and challenging. Due to the NP‐hard nature of this problem, this paper presents an energy‐aware VMM engine for cloud computing using the discrete bacterial foraging algorithm as a new collective behavior‐based metaheuristics algorithm. The CloudSim simulator is employed to investigate the efficiency of this method. The obtained results have shown that the proposed method improves the energy consumption and the migration count.

Elephants are one of the largest animals on earth and are found in forests, grasslands and savannahs in the tropical and subtropical regions of Asia and Africa. A country like India, especially the northeastern region, is covered by deep forests and is home to many elephants. Railroads are an effective and inexpensive means of transporting goods and passengers in this region. Due to poor visibility in the forests, collisions between trains and elephants are increasing day by day. In the last ten years, more than 190 elephants died due to train accidents. The most effective solution to this collision problem is to stop the train immediately. To address this sensitive issue, a solution is needed to detect and monitor elephants near railroad tracks and analyze data from the camera trap near the intersection of elephant corridors and railroad tracks. In this paper, we have developed a fog computing-based framework that not only detects and monitors the elephants but also improves the latency, network utilization and execution time. The fog-enabled elephant monitoring system informs the train control system of the existence of elephants in the corridor and a warning light LED flashes near the train tracks. This system is deployed and simulated in the iFogSim simulator and shows improvements in latency, network utilization, and execution time compared to cloud-based infrastructures.

The conventional education system in developing countries has been enhanced recently by implementing the latest technology of distributed ledger. Disruptive technology is a fundamental requirement for greater accountability and visibility. We explored the key factors affecting the intentions of educational institutions to use blockchain technology for e-learning. This study proposed an expanded model of Technology Acceptance Model by integrating the diffusion of innovation theory. Based on an online survey, the conceptual model was tested and validated using structural equation modeling. The results showed that compatibility had a significant impact on blockchain use in smart learning environments. Other significant effects were also found on adoption of blockchain technology. This study offers an expanded Technology Acceptance Model for implementing blockchain that could assist decision makers in building a smart learning environment for the educational institutes for the emerging economies.

With the rapid advancement of Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) technology, UAV swarms are being extensively applied in various fields, such as intelligent transportation, search and rescue, logistics delivery, and aerial mapping. However, the utilization of UAV swarms in sustainable transportation also presents some challenges, such as inefficient task allocation and data transmission security issues, highlighting the importance of privacy protection in this context. To address these issues, this study applies blockchain technology to multi-UAV tasks and proposes a blockchain-based multi-UAV task processing system for situation awareness and real-time decisions. The primary objective of this system is to enhance the efficiency of UAV swarm task scheduling, bolster data transmission security, and address privacy protection concerns. Utilizing the highly secure features of blockchain technology, the system constructs a distributed task processing network. System tasks are stored in the blockchain through smart contracts, ensuring the immutability and verifiability of task information. Smart contracts have an automatic execution capability, whereby the system can efficiently coordinate tasks and maintain the consistency of task execution information through consensus mechanisms. Additionally, adopting the Pointer Network structure for intelligent path planning based on task allocation results leads to the attainment of the shortest service routes, consequently expanding the service coverage of sustainable transportation systems while reducing energy consumption. This further advances the realization of urban sustainable transportation. Through experimental results, we verify that the proposed system enables real-time task scheduling and collaborative processing for multiple UAVs, significantly enhancing the efficiency, security, and privacy protection level of UAV swarm task execution in the context of sustainable transportation. It makes a positive contribution to building more sustainable urban transportation systems.

To protect the electromagnetic environment and understand its current state in a timely manner, monitoring the electromagnetic environment has great practical significance, while massive amounts of data are generated. It is crucial to utilize data mining technology to extract valuable information from these massive amounts of data for effective spectrum management. Traditional spectrum prediction methods do not integrate the prior information of spectrum resource occupancy, so that the prediction of the channel state of a single frequency point is of limited significance. To address these issues, the paper describes a dynamic threshold algorithm which mines bottom noise and spectrum resource occupancy from massive electromagnetic environment data. Moreover, the paper describes a joint time-frequency spectrum resource prediction algorithm based on the time-frequency block residual LSTM (TFBRL) network, which utilizes hourly time closeness, daily period, and annual trend as prior knowledge of spectrum resources. The TFBRL network comprises three main parts: (1) a residual convolution network with a squeeze-and-excitation (SE) attention mechanism, (2) a long short term memory (LSTM) model with memory ability to capture sequence latent information, and (3) a feature fusion module based on a matrix to combine time closeness, daily period, and annual trend feature components. Experimental results demonstrate that the TFBRL network outperforms the baseline networks, improving by 31.37%, 16.00% and 13.06% compared with the best baseline for MSE, RMSE and MAE, respectively. Thus, the TFBRL network has good risk prediction performance and lays the foundation for subsequent frequency scheduling.
