WOS: 000407449900007 ; The present study estimates the increase in the number of jobs resulting from the additional investments in energy sector if Turkey's renewable energy percentage in the electricity generation is 100%. The share to be allocated to each renewable energy source within additional investment value is determined according to COPRAS-based multi-criteria decision making method. The contribution of renewable energy investment value which is determined through COPRAS to employment in the country has been estimated according to Jobs and Economic Development Impact (JEDI) Model which was developed by National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL). According to results of the model, it is estimated that a total of 1.132.545 additional jobs will be created with following breakdown through the installation and operation of 56.694 MW renewable energy plants instead of fossil fuel power stations: to 576.664 people directly, to 322.852 people indirectly and to 233.030 people through stimulated employment.

; In this study, wind power plants which increase their numbers day by day in our country and in the world, are considered to be assessed according to the real options method. Due to the high demand for renewable energy sources, major investment projects are carried out in the wind power field which are increasingly growing with each passing day. evaluating the most accurate way of such investment projects , taking different positions against fluctuations in the national economy and sector, making a project profitable which perhaps seems unprofitable initialy and and it is extremely important to include them in the evaluation process for all project managers. In this study we have dealt with the purposes, formely real options method used in the evaluation of securities nowadays can also be used in the assessment of wind energy plants and it is considered the hypothesis that there is a method that can give more reliable results than traditional project valuation methods. For this purpose a wind power plant in Balıkesir province is approached and firstly project is evaluated with conventional methods then real options method seperately. Our investment project is evaluated three different traditional methods and In all three methods negative results were obtained. Therefore, the point of the application or rejection of the investment project, provided that the final decision belongs to the project management, the project manager is expected to make a decision to refuse or stop investment projects. However, In case of the use of European-style five-year deferral option for the same project, the project re-evaluated based on the Black Scholes and Binomial valuation method and the results were positive. As a result,it was decided that the project was acceptable and and can be started. The result of this study is that real options method which is considered as an alternative method to traditional methods on evaluation of investment projects, is fed from the traditional project valuation method but it has been concluded that thanks to a lot of different containing options, it is superior to traditional methods in the project evaluation and it is not an alternative in valuation process, it should be the main method in the future.

WOS: 000302108000006 ; The efficiency of a wind turbine is directly affected by the direction and the speed of the wind blowing towards the turbine blades. Considering the fact that wind blows from many directions with variable speeds, it would be seen that there is a requirement for designing new, optimized and highly efficient airfoils for wind turbines. This work is a preliminary work of an airfoil design project for wind turbines. Numerical analysis has been performed at high Reynolds number and low angles of attack (0 degrees <=alpha <= 20 degrees) for six different airfoils. Among the investigated airfoils, CLARK Y has been found to show the best performance considering the variation of C-L-alpha and C-L/C-D-alpha. In this study, where only steady computations have been performed, it has been seen that the validity of steady computations were limited up to different angles of attack for each airfoil. For the cases of higher angles, it was understood that the convergence of steady analyses was not achievable.

; In this study there is investigated about possibilities of alternative energy usage together of olive waste and sewage sludge, which become problem for agriculture and environment in Aydın province. On the other side the aim of this study is to determine the possibility of application of waste’s ashes in construction materials to avoid negative impact of contamination of danger content to ground and water resources. In this study is used sewage sludge of wastewater treatment which is located in Aydın municipality. In order to increase the energy value of sewage sludge, the homogeneous mixture is prepared by adding different ratios of olive waste that is the secondary agricultural products. After that under open air condition drying process was applied to prepared samples for reducing the high moisture content in the structure. Drying efficiency and the usability for alternative energy sources has been investigated. The suitability of the material for transport condition was tested by some mechanical property; like water absorbability of pellets.

; In this study, wind power plants which increase their numbers day by day in our country and in the world, are considered to be assessed according to the real options method.
