The design and mission requirements of aero vehicles, which vary on a day-to-day basis, have become major study concerns in the burgeoning aviation sector. In addition to the design and mission criteria that must be met in an aero vehicle design, the designers' primary goals are to construct original, innovative, environmentally friendly, fuel-efficient, and sustainable designs. In this study, a detailed conceptual design of a helicopter that does not need a notable runway for operation and is limited by mission and design requirements is offered. Within the scope of this research, a competitor analysis study was undertaken in accordance with the defined criteria, and design approaches were chosen based on the outcomes of competitor analysis. In addition, this research, which looks for an environmentally friendly and sustainable design, was developed with the aviation industry's demands in mind by analyzing the International Helicopter Safety Team's (IHST) data. As a result of the reports analyzed and considering the causes and consequences of accidents that have happened, the objective of the design research was to achieve a sustainable, ecologically friendly, and fuel-efficient design by reducing the number of accidents and damage. The planning and design processes as a result of this examination are essential as a step towards the helicopter being an original design and in the context of solution methodologies. This archetypal design aims to shed light on helicopter design studies and serve as a roadmap for future research.

The common leopard (Panthera pardus) serves an important ecological function as a member of the big carnivore guild, but little is known about how climate change may affect their distribution. In this study, we use MaxEnt to simulate the geographic distributions by illustrating potential present and future ranges of common leopard by utilizing presence records alongside important topographic and bioclimatic variables based on two shared socioeconomic pathways (SSP2-4.5 and SSP5-8.5) scenarios. The goals of this study was to look into possible distribution ranges of common leopards due to climate change, as well as explore the implications for conservation and potential conflict with humans. At present, 4% of Nepal was found to be highly suitable for common leopards, 43% suitable, 19% marginally suitable, and 34% unsuitable. A large portion of the climatically suitable habitat was confined to non-protected areas, and the majority of the highly suitable habitat was encompassed by forest land, followed by agricultural areas. Elevation, mean temperature of driest quarter, annual precipitation, and precipitation seasonality were the variables influencing habitat suitability for the common leopard. A significant increase in marginally suitable habitat was observed in the high mountain region, indicating a shift of habitat in upper elevation areas due to the effects of climate change. We recommend timely management of these potential habitats to expand the range of this vulnerable species. At the same time, a combination of expanding new habitats and poor management practices could escalate human-leopard conflict. Therefore, further study on the impact of climate change on the distribution of prey species and proper habitat management techniques should be prioritized to mitigate conflicts.

Acoustic guitars are among the most widespread musical instruments worldwide, and today are industrially manufactured by large companies with global markets. This study investigates the use of wood in modern acoustic guitars, with a focus on wood species and sustainability. The websites of the 14 most relevant manufacturers on a global scale were analyzed collecting data on 874 guitars and 4506 components. The purpose of the research is to provide a novel overview of the variety and relevance of woods employed in the sector, of the most common environmental issues associated with their use, and of the strategies adopted by companies to deal with sustainability concerns and to communicate their environmental commitment to the public. The results show that, overall, wood remains the material of choice for acoustic guitars, and a wide number of wood species are used. Sustainability aspects are often highlighted on websites. However, the taxonomy is ambiguous in several cases, and some endangered wood species are used with limited information about preservation. Therefore enhancing the research of alternative wood species and increasing the efforts on environmental commitment and on promoting end consumer sustainability awareness are relevant targets to further enhance the use of wood in a sector that already provides a great valorization of this renewable material.

Despite empirical literature identifying diverse drivers of CO2, the impact of national security, healthcare, entitlement programs, and total petroleum stocks has largely been overlooked. Thus, this study aims to bridge this gap by investigating, for the first time, the role of these economic variables in determining whether they contribute to CO2 reduction or escalation in the United States. To evaluate the interconnections among these variables, this study utilizes monthly data spanning from 1985 to 2022. Employing contemporary quantile approaches like Recursive CQ correlations, Cross-Quantilogram, and nonparametric quantile causality, the study effectively accommodates the nonlinear nature of the variables. These analytical techniques offer a comprehensive assessment of the relationships among the variables under scrutiny. The outcomes of the Cross-Quantilogram analysis reveal that health care, national security, and entitlement programs enhance ecological quality at different quantiles. Conversely, total petroleum stocks are associated with ecological deterioration. Based on these results, the study recommends a focus on raising awareness regarding sustainable procurement strategies, embracing environmentally friendly technologies, and improving energy efficiency in healthcare facilities.

Fast expanding population and increased rate of urbanization has increased energy demand. This makes the current scenario worse. Fossil fuels' emissions are another challenge. Apart from fossil fuel emissions, the untreated disposal of waste cooking oil presents another environment's sustainability challenge. The treatment of waste cooking oil as fuel presents a tangible solution to challenge. In this research article, impact of the engine speed and the concentration of titanium dioxide (TiO2) nanoparticles (NPs) in diesel-biodiesel blended fuels on the engine's performance. The emission characteristics of a single-cylinder four-stroke diesel engine has also been examined. TiO2 NPs were produced by a sol-gel methodology. The diesel-biodiesel combination was fortified with TiO2 NPs at 40, 80 and 120 ppm. These mixtures were used to power the diesel engine, which was then run at 1150, 1400, 1650, 1900 and 2150 RPM. Interaction between engine speeds and nanoparticle concentrations and investigation of their combined effect on engine performance and emissions was done using response surface methodology. The minimum BSFC of 0.33994 kg/kWh and maximum BTE of 25.90% were found for B30 + 120 ppm biodiesel blend at 2150 rpm as compared to all other tested fuels. The emissions including CO and HC emissions were recorded as 25.61486 kg/kWh and 0.05289kg/kWh respectively at 2150 rpm for B30 + 120 ppm biodiesel blend while NOx on the contrary side exhibits a slight escalation with increasing engine speed and nanoparticles concentration. The findings of the experiments demonstrated that adding TiO2 nanoparticles to diesel-biodiesel blends is an effective way to enhance the performance of diesel engines while simultaneously reducing the emissions. It was also discovered that the mathematical model that was built can efficiently estimate the performance of the engine and the emission levels.

An enhanced version of an equilibrium optimization algorithm (EO), referred to as EEO is proposed to solve this problem. The suggested approach optimises the parameter that regulates the balance between exploration and exploitation to identify the potential optimum solution while enhancing the EO algorithm's exploration properties. The main task for the EEO is to get the best settings. Also, the proposed algorithm shall maintain operation in sequence between the main and backup relays. The capability of the suggested EEO algorithm is assessed in 8-bus, IEEE thirty-bus, and IEEE 39-bus systems. The obtained results prove the effectiveness of the EEO technique in solving the coordination problem of the combined directional overcurrent relays and distance relays. Also, the results show the ability of the suggested algorithm to overcome the drawbacks of the traditional EO algorithm and achieve faster protection (the reduction ratio reaches about 12 % compared to the traditional EO.

D. Ganji;This research employs a local thermal non-equilibrium (LTNE) model to analyze the heat transfer phenomenon through a porous fin, considering natural convection and radiation effects. The infiltration velocity within the porous medium is evaluated using the Darcy model, and buoyancy effects are accounted for using the Boussinesq approximation. The Akbari-Ganji method (AGM) is applied to address the governing energy equations. The accuracy of the proposed solution is verified by comparing it with numerical results obtained from the finite difference method (FDM), the finite element method (FEM), and earlier investigations. The results are presented regarding the total average Nusselt number and temperature profiles. These results shed light on the influence of several important parameters, such as the thermal conductivity ratio, dimensionless thickness, convectional heat transfer, and external and internal radiation. The analysis reveals that decreasing Rayleigh and Biot numbers reduces the temperature profiles of the solid phase. Additionally, when the Rayleigh number is low but the assigned Biot number is high, the temperature difference between the solid and fluid phases diminishes. Furthermore, increased thermal conductivity ratio and dimensionless thickness for assigned Biot and Rayleigh numbers lead to higher solid phase temperatures. The Nusselt number exhibits a decreasing trend with a decreasing thermal conductivity ratio but increases with higher Rayleigh and Biot numbers and increased external radiation.

However, the system is often sensitive, and thus, the control accuracy can be rather poor. Therefore, the applicability of this system remains to be further tested. A nonlinear dynamic optimization model with the air consumption as the objective function was established. A simultaneous collocation method was used to obtain the on-off time sequences. The concept of optimization performance rating to evaluate the system's energy-saving performance and the stability was introduced. Experiments were done to validate the applicability of the circuit. The results showed that the bridge circuit was applicable to a certain range of working conditions under each given action system and that instability, such as rebound or impact, could occur outside this range.

A nonlinear dynamic optimization model with the air consumption as the objective function was established. A simultaneous collocation method was used to obtain the on-off time sequences. The concept of optimization performance rating to evaluate the system's energy-saving performance and the stability was introduced. Experiments were done to validate the applicability of the circuit. The results showed that the bridge circuit was applicable to a certain range of working conditions under each given action system and that instability, such as rebound or impact, could occur outside this range.

The design and mission requirements of aero vehicles, which vary on a day-to-day basis, have become major study concerns in the burgeoning aviation sector. In addition to the design and mission criteria that must be met in an aero vehicle design, the designers' primary goals are to construct original, innovative, environmentally friendly, fuel-efficient, and sustainable designs. In this study, a detailed conceptual design of a helicopter that does not need a notable runway for operation and is limited by mission and design requirements is offered. Within the scope of this research, a competitor analysis study was undertaken in accordance with the defined criteria, and design approaches were chosen based on the outcomes of competitor analysis. In addition, this research, which looks for an environmentally friendly and sustainable design, was developed with the aviation industry's demands in mind by analyzing the International Helicopter Safety Team's (IHST) data. As a result of the reports analyzed and considering the causes and consequences of accidents that have happened, the objective of the design research was to achieve a sustainable, ecologically friendly, and fuel-efficient design by reducing the number of accidents and damage. The planning and design processes as a result of this examination are essential as a step towards the helicopter being an original design and in the context of solution methodologies. This archetypal design aims to shed light on helicopter design studies and serve as a roadmap for future research.

The common leopard (Panthera pardus) serves an important ecological function as a member of the big carnivore guild, but little is known about how climate change may affect their distribution. In this study, we use MaxEnt to simulate the geographic distributions by illustrating potential present and future ranges of common leopard by utilizing presence records alongside important topographic and bioclimatic variables based on two shared socioeconomic pathways (SSP2-4.5 and SSP5-8.5) scenarios. The goals of this study was to look into possible distribution ranges of common leopards due to climate change, as well as explore the implications for conservation and potential conflict with humans. At present, 4% of Nepal was found to be highly suitable for common leopards, 43% suitable, 19% marginally suitable, and 34% unsuitable. A large portion of the climatically suitable habitat was confined to non-protected areas, and the majority of the highly suitable habitat was encompassed by forest land, followed by agricultural areas. Elevation, mean temperature of driest quarter, annual precipitation, and precipitation seasonality were the variables influencing habitat suitability for the common leopard. A significant increase in marginally suitable habitat was observed in the high mountain region, indicating a shift of habitat in upper elevation areas due to the effects of climate change. We recommend timely management of these potential habitats to expand the range of this vulnerable species. At the same time, a combination of expanding new habitats and poor management practices could escalate human-leopard conflict. Therefore, further study on the impact of climate change on the distribution of prey species and proper habitat management techniques should be prioritized to mitigate conflicts.

The common leopard (Panthera pardus) serves an important ecological function as a member of the big carnivore guild, but little is known about how climate change may affect their distribution. In this study, we use MaxEnt to simulate the geographic distributions by illustrating potential present and future ranges of common leopard by utilizing presence records alongside important topographic and bioclimatic variables based on two shared socioeconomic pathways (SSP2-4.5 and SSP5-8.5) scenarios. The goals of this study was to look into possible distribution ranges of common leopards due to climate change, as well as explore the implications for conservation and potential conflict with humans. At present, 4% of Nepal was found to be highly suitable for common leopards, 43% suitable, 19% marginally suitable, and 34% unsuitable. A large portion of the climatically suitable habitat was confined to non-protected areas, and the majority of the highly suitable habitat was encompassed by forest land, followed by agricultural areas. Elevation, mean temperature of driest quarter, annual precipitation, and precipitation seasonality were the variables influencing habitat suitability for the common leopard. A significant increase in marginally suitable habitat was observed in the high mountain region, indicating a shift of habitat in upper elevation areas due to the effects of climate change. We recommend timely management of these potential habitats to expand the range of this vulnerable species. At the same time, a combination of expanding new habitats and poor management practices could escalate human-leopard conflict. Therefore, further study on the impact of climate change on the distribution of prey species and proper habitat management techniques should be prioritized to mitigate conflicts.

Acoustic guitars are among the most widespread musical instruments worldwide, and today are industrially manufactured by large companies with global markets. This study investigates the use of wood in modern acoustic guitars, with a focus on wood species and sustainability. The websites of the 14 most relevant manufacturers on a global scale were analyzed collecting data on 874 guitars and 4506 components. The purpose of the research is to provide a novel overview of the variety and relevance of woods employed in the sector, of the most common environmental issues associated with their use, and of the strategies adopted by companies to deal with sustainability concerns and to communicate their environmental commitment to the public. The results show that, overall, wood remains the material of choice for acoustic guitars, and a wide number of wood species are used. Sustainability aspects are often highlighted on websites. However, the taxonomy is ambiguous in several cases, and some endangered wood species are used with limited information about preservation. Therefore enhancing the research of alternative wood species and increasing the efforts on environmental commitment and on promoting end consumer sustainability awareness are relevant targets to further enhance the use of wood in a sector that already provides a great valorization of this renewable material.

Thus, this study aims to bridge this gap by investigating, for the first time, the role of these economic variables in determining whether they contribute to CO2 reduction or escalation in the United States. To evaluate the interconnections among these variables, this study utilizes monthly data spanning from 1985 to 2022. Employing contemporary quantile approaches like Recursive CQ correlations, Cross-Quantilogram, and nonparametric quantile causality, the study effectively accommodates the nonlinear nature of the variables. These analytical techniques offer a comprehensive assessment of the relationships among the variables under scrutiny. The outcomes of the Cross-Quantilogram analysis reveal that health care, national security, and entitlement programs enhance ecological quality at different quantiles. Conversely, total petroleum stocks are associated with ecological deterioration. Based on these results, the study recommends a focus on raising awareness regarding sustainable procurement strategies, embracing environmentally friendly technologies, and improving energy efficiency in healthcare facilities.

Fast expanding population and increased rate of urbanization has increased energy demand. This makes the current scenario worse. Fossil fuels' emissions are another challenge. Apart from fossil fuel emissions, the untreated disposal of waste cooking oil presents another environment's sustainability challenge. The treatment of waste cooking oil as fuel presents a tangible solution to challenge. In this research article, impact of the engine speed and the concentration of titanium dioxide (TiO2) nanoparticles (NPs) in diesel-biodiesel blended fuels on the engine's performance. The emission characteristics of a single-cylinder four-stroke diesel engine has also been examined. TiO2 NPs were produced by a sol-gel methodology. The diesel-biodiesel combination was fortified with TiO2 NPs at 40, 80 and 120 ppm. These mixtures were used to power the diesel engine, which was then run at 1150, 1400, 1650, 1900 and 2150 RPM. Interaction between engine speeds and nanoparticle concentrations and investigation of their combined effect on engine performance and emissions was done using response surface methodology. The minimum BSFC of 0.33994 kg/kWh and maximum BTE of 25.90% were found for B30 + 120 ppm biodiesel blend at 2150 rpm as compared to all other tested fuels. The emissions including CO and HC emissions were recorded as 25.61486 kg/kWh and 0.05289kg/kWh respectively at 2150 rpm for B30 + 120 ppm biodiesel blend while NOx on the contrary side exhibits a slight escalation with increasing engine speed and nanoparticles concentration. The findings of the experiments demonstrated that adding TiO2 nanoparticles to diesel-biodiesel blends is an effective way to enhance the performance of diesel engines while simultaneously reducing the emissions. It was also discovered that the mathematical model that was built can efficiently estimate the performance of the engine and the emission levels.

An enhanced version of an equilibrium optimization algorithm (EO), referred to as EEO is proposed to solve this problem. The suggested approach optimises the parameter that regulates the balance between exploration and exploitation to identify the potential optimum solution while enhancing the EO algorithm's exploration properties. The main task for the EEO is to get the best settings. Also, the proposed algorithm shall maintain operation in sequence between the main and backup relays. The capability of the suggested EEO algorithm is assessed in 8-bus, IEEE thirty-bus, and IEEE 39-bus systems. The obtained results prove the effectiveness of the EEO technique in solving the coordination problem of the combined directional overcurrent relays and distance relays. Also, the results show the ability of the suggested algorithm to overcome the drawbacks of the traditional EO algorithm and achieve faster protection (the reduction ratio reaches about 12 % compared to the traditional EO.

The infiltration velocity within the porous medium is evaluated using the Darcy model, and buoyancy effects are accounted for using the Boussinesq approximation. The Akbari-Ganji method (AGM) is applied to address the governing energy equations. The accuracy of the proposed solution is verified by comparing it with numerical results obtained from the finite difference method (FDM), the finite element method (FEM), and earlier investigations. The results are presented regarding the total average Nusselt number and temperature profiles. These results shed light on the influence of several important parameters, such as the thermal conductivity ratio, dimensionless thickness, convectional heat transfer, and external and internal radiation. The analysis reveals that decreasing Rayleigh and Biot numbers reduces the temperature profiles of the solid phase. Additionally, when the Rayleigh number is low but the assigned Biot number is high, the temperature difference between the solid and fluid phases diminishes. Furthermore, increased thermal conductivity ratio and dimensionless thickness for assigned Biot and Rayleigh numbers lead to higher solid phase temperatures. The Nusselt number exhibits a decreasing trend with a decreasing thermal conductivity ratio but increases with higher Rayleigh and Biot numbers and increased external radiation.

However, the system is often sensitive, and thus, the control accuracy can be rather poor. Therefore, the applicability of this system remains to be further tested. A nonlinear dynamic optimization model with the air consumption as the objective function was established. A simultaneous collocation method was used to obtain the on-off time sequences. The concept of optimization performance rating to evaluate the system's energy-saving performance and the stability was introduced. Experiments were done to validate the applicability of the circuit. The results showed that the bridge circuit was applicable to a certain range of working conditions under each given action system and that instability, such as rebound or impact, could occur outside this range.

Globally, the production of municipal solid waste is rising annually because of consumerism and the urbanization process. In the past few years, different researchers have explored strategies for generating biogas from various organic wastes. In this study, kitchen waste and municipal solid waste were characterized by several physical-chemical parameters. Ten of these substrates were mono-digested for biogas production in batch reactors where cabbage showed a 96.36 ± 1.73% volatile solid and biogas yield of 800 ± 8.8 mL within 10 days, while cooked rice had an 83.00 ± 1.49% volatile solid, and a biogas yield of 2821 ± 31.03 mL within 28 days. The CN ratio for cabbage and cooked rice waste was 13.9 and 30.9 respectively, whereas their pH values were 6.2 and 7.2. Globally, the production of municipal solid waste is rising annually because of consumerism and the urbanization process. In the past few years, different researchers have explored strategies for generating biogas from various organic wastes. In this study, kitchen waste and municipal solid waste were characterized by several physical-chemical parameters. Ten of these substrates were mono-digested for biogas production in batch reactors where cabbage showed a 96.36 ± 1.73% volatile solid and biogas yield of 800 ± 8.8 mL within 10 days, while cooked rice had an 83.00 ± 1.49% volatile solid, and a biogas yield of 2821 ± 31.03 mL within 28 days. The CN ratio for cabbage and cooked rice waste was 13.9 and 30.9 respectively, whereas their pH values were 6.2 and 7.2.
