[EN] Climate Change has brought as an immediate consequence in the cultivation of the vine, the advance of grape harvest. But this advance has not meant a parallel evolution of all the values to be considered in the mustwith respect towhat they were before climate change. In particular, whole acidity and pH evolve with higher temperatures faster than the sugar content, causing less acid than before climate change. The opposite happens with the phenolic fraction that develops slower than the sugar content, due to mostly the high temperatures of the nights, generating wines of less color and phenolic content. As a technique to decrease these effects, an effective measure of adaptation to climate change is to carry out late pruning, which delay the vegetative cycle of the vine. The purpose of this report was to study the influence of late pruning, as a technique of adaptation to climate change, which delays the vegetative cycle of the vine, postponing the grape harvest and causing the ripening of the grapes on less warm dates, in order to obtain musts with lower sugar content, lower probable alcoholic grade, higher acidity and higher polyphenolic concentration, as well as the impact on the final production. In order to do so, several groups of vines with different patterns were studied, in which they were made a late pruning, comparing with a group of vines of the same varieties pruned on conventional dates. In these samples the evolution of the phenological cycles of each pattern and variety was studied, as well as the evolution in Brix, pH, whole acidity, tone, colour and IPT as well as the production. With these measurements, we proceeded to study the data, from which, it was observed whether there was any relationship between the type of pruning and the evolution both in the plant and in the musts obtained.

[EN] Participation in architectural competitions is a way that is increasingly given as a professional outlet for architects. This fact is due in large part to the scarcity of work in our national territory. The issue of sustainability is an inescapable issue today because of the impacts that construction generates within the global impacts generated by our society on earth. Up to 35% of these impacts are determined by the energy consumed in the architectural process. In this TFG, project strategies and, above all, representation strategies will be analyzed in order to explain the information and approaches of this paradigm change in the most appropriate way. The proposals will focus on a contemporary language and impact when making the presentation of the architecture competition. Special attention will be paid to the theories of perception, composition, as well as the application of the graphic media of the latest technologies. The objective is to carry out a theoretical-practical exercise close to the professional field, where the application of the theories to a real case and the evaluation of the obtained result is demonstrated.

; The results of the development of a thermal simulation model of Bulk Curing tobacco barns in SIMUSOL language are presented. The tobacco curing stages corresponding to yellowing and drying rib were simulated through the separation of three circuits: heat, mass, and heat exchanger-burner. The selection of these stages was performed considering that both represent thermal plateaus, and the lack of precise information on tobacco leaves weight loss curves. It was omitted from the simulation the specific dehydration ramp. As model output variables requested were the temperatures inside the drying chamber, and burner flows. The proposed model fit was then verified by comparing the results with data measured in the field. After checking the previous mentioned adjustment, energy saving measures was evaluated, such as the inclusion of basal thermal insulation and reduction of thermal bridges; and the addition of a solar air preheating system. The simulated savings were around 20%; remains to incorporate the missing stages achieving simulate the ...

Criteria and indicators to evaluate forest management (C&I) facilitate the understanding of and communication about sustainability. Thus an increasing number of national and international initiatives defined C&I sets for certification, monitoring and auditing of forest management. Because of the variety of C&I applications and the heterogeneity of C&I users, the demands and requirements on C&I in relation to application, evaluation and interpretation are diverse. To ensure viability and acceptance of C&I based forest management tools, this diversity has to be considered in the process of developing C&I sets. Based on a revision of C&I initiatives in Latin America, experiences made by the Center for International Forestry Research (CIFOR) and consultations with experts, the paper identifies and discusses the demands and requirements related to the application of C&I and its practical implications.

; Water is an essential ecological resource which may be drastically affected by human activities. So, the University of A Coruña (UDC) elaborated the SOSTAUGA project, aiming to reach a higher sustainable level of its water management in the Central Campus of Elviña and A Zapateira. The physicochemical and microbiological characterization of natural waters and wastewater of this Campus and operation of a pilot plant that combine anaerobic digesters and constructed wetlands to treat and recovery the wastewater from a university faculty were part of the Sostauga project. The overall discharge reached 2647 m3/d of very low strength contaminated waters but only the 11% of this flow was wastewater at origin (about 2100 equivalent inhabitant). On the other hand, springs and fountains in the campus area reached about 370 m3/d of clean water, an amount higher than the 140 m3/d of tap water consumption. Obtained data were useful to analyse the potential of using on site water resources and to design natural integrated and reuse treatment systems. ; Peer Reviewed

The efficienty of the rail as a mean of transport contributes to minimize this overall impact and therefore its usage has oftten been encouraged. On the other hand, the implementation of the railway requires the construction of important infrastructures and their execution may cause great impacts. The aim of this project is to analyse feasible solutions to reduce them through the use of multicriteria techniques, which consider the economy, the environment and society, for higher pergola railway passes. The methodology for the analysis of the complete life cycle has been used, evaluating the phases that constitute it. Those phases are the construction and maintenance of the alternatives considered. It has been implemented in an overpass with pergola structure that belongs to the high-speed line between Madrid and Levante, specifically located in Parla (Madrid). The implementation of three different pergola solutions has been evaluated, selecting at first a fully prefabricated solution, then another fully in-situ execution solution and finally, a mixed one between the two previous ones. The objective of the analysis is to select the most appropriate solution, taking into account the evaluation of the three factors aforementioned.

; Cement is among the industries with the highest CO2 emissions globally, so it is important to seek to reduce its production. One way to reduce it is to partially replace the cement with another material without this reducing the quality of the resulting concrete. This research proposes wood ash as a replacement material, so the objective was to determine the effect of wood ash on the mechanical properties of concrete when replacing it in percentage to cement, this in order to measure the effect that could have in the concrete and see ...

With these measurements, we proceeded to study the data, from which, it was observed whether there was any relationship between the type of pruning and the evolution both in the plant and in the musts obtained.

; The results of the development of a thermal simulation model of Bulk Curing tobacco barns in SIMUSOL language are presented.

[EN] Transport is a major factor in global energy consumption and pollutant emissions.
