    AbstractIn the wake of the growing threats to humanity from climate change, we analyzed the information and communications technology (ICT)/education—environmental nexus from three distinct blocs including BRICS, MINT, and the G7 economies between 1990 and 2020. Two models were examined to reach the study's objectives. The first model evaluates whether education and ICT are essential for environmental sustainability via potential reduction in carbon emission. On the other hand, the second model fills an existing gap in extant studies by examining the prospect of education and ICT in influencing citizens on the importance of transition to renewable energy usage. Driscoll and Kraay estimator was employed as a panacea tool for cross‐sectional dependence and slope homogeneity while the fixed effect approach provides sufficient robustness checks on the findings. While some outcomes vary per bloc, others are relatively similar across the three blocs. Education level in school enrollment perspectives shows a negative significant pollution reduction effect across the three blocs, while only the G7 bloc performed better from human capital perspectives. The combined sample bloc shows that ICT also significantly reduces carbon emission, however, an individual bloc analysis refutes this stance for the MINT bloc. Additionally, while renewable energy cushions emissions in all the blocs, rapid urbanization, shows a positive CO2 emission impact except in the G7 bloc. Last, ICT and education significantly boost renewable energy usage only in the G7. Hence, governments and stakeholders in the blocs should gravitate toward greater investments in quality education and greener ICT infrastructures for a sustainable environment.

    A Educação Ambiental deve ser um processo abordado nos meios escolares para que o ser humano possa compreender sua relação com a natureza e buscar uma melhoria na preservação e conservação ambiental, tomando atitudes que venham beneficiar o meio ambiente e que proporcionem saúde e bem-estar para si e para os outros. O objetivo deste trabalho foi elaborar uma proposta de ensino-aprendizagem, envolvendo as principais questões ambientais da atualidade, com a utilização de práticas pedagógicas e através do desenvolvimento de um jogo educativo. A pesquisa foi realizada em uma escola estadual no município de Castro - PR, envolvendo uma turma da 1ª série do curso Técnico de Agropecuária, com cerca de trinta alunos. Durante o processo de aprendizagem, os alunos tiveram que pesquisar sobre temas socioambientais como: mudanças climáticas, resíduos sólidos e sustentabilidade. Após a fase de exploração, aplicou-se o jogo de tabuleiro com o objetivo de problematizar e simular situações do cotidiano que envolvem questões referentes às práticas sustentáveis. A partir de um questionário, elaborado conforme as propostas das Diretrizes Curriculares do Estado do Paraná (DCE’s) foi avaliado, pelo método qualitativo e quantitativo, o resultado em relação à aprendizagem dos alunos, que foi bastante satisfatório, pois se demonstrou que a aprendizagem com a utilização de jogo é muito significativa. Tal prática contribui também para despertar nos alunos o gosto pela pesquisa, leitura e problematização. Environmental Education is a process that should be dealt with at school so that humans can understand their relationship with nature and seek for an improve in environmental preservation and conservation, taking actions that will benefit the environment and provide health and wellness for themselves and others. The aim of this study was to develop a teaching-learning proposal, involving the major environmental issues of these days, with the use of educational practices and by developing an educational game. The survey was conducted in a state school in the city of Castro, Paraná involving a class of thirty students of first year of Agricultural school. During the process of learning the students had to research on environmental issues as climate change, solid waste and sustainability. After the exploration phase, the board game was applied in order to discuss and simulate real-world situations involving issues related to susteinable practices. From the questionnaire, elaborated according to the Diretrizes Curriculares of Paraná state, we evaluated the students' learning through qualitative method. The result was was quite satisfactory because this work showed that the learning through the use of games is very significant. This practice also helps the students to acquire taste for searching, reading and questioning.

    Authors: Ribeiro, Ana Maria Gomes;

    Diante da crise ecológica que ameaça a vida no planeta, alternativas têm sido pensadas no sentido de construir sociedades sustentáveis. Por exemplo, a agricultura familiar tem produzido de forma alternativa, adotando práticas agroecológicas; produtos seus têm sido incorporados à alimentação escolar, a educação tem sido invocada como educação ambiental para formar o “sujeito ecológico” etc. Neste sentido, este trabalho teve como objetivo geral analisar os aspectos educativos não formais presentes no processo de fornecimento de alimentos para a merenda escolar por agricultores familiares no município de Jacaraú-PB, tendo em conta o Programa Nacional de Alimentação Escolar (PNAE). Do ponto de vista do referencial teórico, a pesquisa teve em atenção, entre outras, elaborações em torno da Educação Ambiental Popular e da Agroecologia. No que diz respeito aos procedimentos metodológicos, tratou-se de uma investigação qualitativa realizada junto a agricultores familiares e membros da gestão vinculados à alimentação escolar no município de Jacaraú-PB, tendo como meio de coleta de dados entrevistas semiestruturadas, além de visitas – em forma de observação – às unidades de produção e armazenamento, realizando-se registros fotográficos. O material empírico resultante das entrevistas foi tratado conforme a técnica de análise de conteúdo temático-categorial, de onde resultaram as seguintes categorias: a operacionalização do PNAE na perspectiva dos agricultores fornecedores de alimentos; desafios da produção e comercialização na agricultura familiar; aspectos do desenvolvimento socioeconômico local e ambiental nas ações do PNAE; operacionalização do PNAE na perspectiva dos gestores; protagonistas do fornecimento de alimentos para a merenda escolar pelo PNAE; construindo a Educação Ambiental Popular a partir das ações do PNAE. Dentre os resultados, verificou se que aspectos educativos não formais presentes no processo de fornecimento de alimentos para a merenda escolar por agricultores familiares no município de Jacaraú-PB se relacionam ao aporte de informações para a sustentabilidade ambiental, para a alimentação saudável e para o desenvolvimento local inclusivo. Entre outras inferências conclusivas, é enfatizado que as ações do PNAE fomentam entre os envolvidos o sentimento de coletividade, a autonomia e a participação cidadã, a difusão de perspectivas orgânicas/agroecológicas e a consciência ambiental, num contexto de aprendizados a partir da prática e da troca de experiências. Faced with the ecological crisis that threatens life on the planet, alternatives have been thought up in order to build sustainable societies. For example, family farming has produced in an alternative way by adopting agroecological practices, its products have been incorporated into school meals, education has been invoked as environmental education to form the 'ecological subject', etc. In this sense, this work aimed to analyze the non-formal educational aspects present in the process of providing food for school meals by family farmers in the municipality of Jacaraú-PB, taking into account the National School Meals Programme (PNAE). From the point of view of the theoretical framework, the research took into account, for example, elaborations around Popular Environmental Education and Agroecology. Methodologically, it was a qualitative investigation carried out with family farmers and members of the municipal management responsible for school meals, using semi-structured interviews as a means of collecting data. In addition, visits were made to the production and storage units, taking photographic records. The empirical material resulting from the interviews was treated according to the thematic-category content analysis technique, from which the following categories resulted: operationalization of the PNAE from the perspective of food supplying farmers; challenges of production and commercialization in family farming; aspects of local socioeconomic and environmental development in PNAE actions; operationalization of the PNAE from the managers' perspective; protagonists of food supply for school meals by the PNAE; building Popular Environmental Education based on PNAE actions. Among the results, it was found that non-formal educational aspects present in the process of providing food for school meals by family farmers, in the municipality of Jacaraú-PB, relate to information for environmental sustainability, healthy eating and inclusive local development. On the conclusive aspects, it is emphasized that the actions of PNAE stimulate the feeling of collectivity, autonomy and citizen participation, the dissemination of organic/agroecological perspectives and environmental awareness, in a context of learning developed with reference to practice and the exchange of experiences. İnsanlığın ortak bir problemi olarak geleceği tehdit eden bir boyuta ulaşan çevre sorunları karşısında kentlerde her tür mekânı oluşturmada sürdürülebilir planlama ve tasarım benimsenmesi gereken önemli bir yaklaşımdır. Kentsel kullanımlar içerisinde büyük nüfus kitlelerine hitap eden kamusal alanlar ise daha sürdürülebilir bir gelecek oluşturabilmede özellikle değerlendirilmesi gereken alanlardır. Çocukların zamanlarının büyük bir bölümünü geçirdikleri eğitim alanları, çocuk gelişimi açısından büyük bir öneme sahip kamusal alanlardır. Bütün kamusal alanlar gibi eğitim alanlarının oluşturulma aşamasında sürdürülebilir planlama ve tasarım parametrelerine öncelik verilmesi, sürdürülebilir eğitim alanlarının kullanılmasının ve sürdürülebilir gelişmenin doğasında var olan değerlerin, eylemlerin ve ilkelerin eğitim ve öğretimin bütün biçimlerine dahil edilmesinin önemli ekonomik, eğitimsel, çevresel ve sosyal katkıları bulunmaktadır. Bu tez kapsamında Tokat kenti içerisinde yer alan eğitim alanlarının sürdürülebilir planlama ve tasarım parametreleri doğrultusunda değerlendirilmesi hedeflenmiştir. Bu hedef doğrultusunda saha çalışmaları okul öncesi, ilkokul, ortaokul ve lise düzeylerindeki 12 örneklem alanında [23 Nisan Ulusal Egemenlik Anaokulu, 15 Temmuz Milli İrade Anaokulu, Devlet Hastanesi Anaokulu, İbn-i Kemal İlkokulu, Karşıyaka İlkokulu, Fevzi Çakmak Ortaokulu, Vakıfbank Namık Kemal Ortaokulu, Gazi Osman Paşa Ortaokulu, Milli Piyango İhya Balak Fen Lisesi, 15 Temmuz Milli İrade Anadolu Lisesi, Güzel Sanatlar Lisesi ve Gazi Osman Paşa Lisesi] gerçekleştirilmiştir. Örneklem eğitim alanlarının planlama ve tasarımlarındaki sürdürülebilirlik düzeyleri “imar planı verileri, arazi büyüklüğü, yer seçim kriterleri, ulaşım özellikleri, peyzaj tasarımı, plan tipolojisi, malzeme özellikleri, tasarım özellikleri ve sosyal özellikler” olmak üzere 9 değerlendirme kriteri çerçevesinde teknik bilgiler ve gözlemler doğrultusunda karşılaştırmalı olarak değerlendirilmiştir. Son olarak değerlendirilen okullarda sürdürülebilir planlama ve tasarım parametrelerini destekleyen önerilerde bulunulmuştur. Sustainable planning & design is an important approach that should be adopted in creating all kinds of spaces in cities in the face of environmental problems that have reached a dimension that threatens the future as a common problem of humanity. Public spaces that appeal to large populations within urban uses are areas that should be especially evaluated in order to create a more sustainable future. Educational areas, where children spend most of their time, are public spaces that have a great importance in terms of child development. Like all public spaces, prioritizing sustainable planning & design parameters in the creation of educational spaces, the use of sustainable education spaces and the inclusion of the values, actions and principles inherent in sustainable development in all forms of education and training have important economic, educational, environmental and social contributions. Within the scope of this thesis, it is aimed to evaluate the educational areas in the city of Tokat in line with sustainable planning & design parameters. In line with this goal, field studies were conducted in 12 sample areas at pre-school, primary, secondary and high school levels [23 Nisan Milli Egemenlik Kindergarten, 15 July Milli İrade Kindergarten, State Hospital Kindergarten, İbn-i Kemal Primary School, Karşıyaka Primary School, Fevzi Çakmak Secondary School, Vakıfbank Namık Kemal Secondary School, Gazi Osman Paşa Secondary School, Milli Piyango İhya Balak Science High School, 15 July Milli İrade Anatolian High School, Fine Arts High School and Gazi Osman Paşa High School]. The sustainability levels of the case educational areas were evaluated and compared in line with the technical information and observations within the framework of nine evaluation criteria: "zoning plan data, land size, site selection criteria, transportation characteristics, landscape design, plan typology, material properties, design features and social characteristics". Finally, suggestions were made that support sustainable planning & design parameters in the evaluated schools. Yüksek Lisans Tezi

    SUMMARY Any widespread discipline must identify and clarify the universal concepts wbich underlie its very existence as a discipline. in addition, it must evolve and standardize the key words and phareses through vvhich the practitioners of the discipline can commımicate wftn each other. The `Quality Function` has taken some steps to identify and clarify these concepts and to prepare some glossaries of terms. Because these have not been widely adopted (ör even circulated), there is great difficulty inreaching a meetting of the minds /vhen practitiones convert to solve problems. Quality is the probability that the values of the characteristics of a product ör service will he /vithin specified ümits and impart to the product ör service the abihty to satisfy given needs. Ouality is (in İSO 9005) the totality of features and characteristics of a product, process ör service that bear on its ability to satisfy stated ör implied needs. Ouality Control is the regulatory process through vvhich we measure actual quality performance, compare it with standarts and act on the difference. Ouality Control is (in İSO 9005) the operational techniques and activities that are used to satisfy quality requirements. The other meanings of `quality control` include: -A part of the regulatory process, e. g., product inspection. -The name of a department vvhich is devoted full-time to the quality function. in this usage, Ihe term is capitalized, i.e., Ouality Control. -The tools, sküls, ör techniques through vvhich some ör ali of the quahty function is carried out. viiThe term `Quality Control` has had a short but üvely history. Early in the tvventieth century, it began to be used as a synonytn for `defect prevention` (in contrast to the widely prevailing after- the-fect inspection). Hovewer, during the 1940s and 1950s there was a wave of enthusiasm (and overenthusiasm) for the use of statistical methods in cpıality control. The proponents of this movement coined the phrase `Statistical Quahty Control` and publicized it so widely that many managers gained the impression that quality control consisted of the use of statistical methods in industry. A consequence was that the Statistical Quaüty Control movement weakened the use of `Ouality Control` as an accepted term for the regulatory process. Ih the late 1950s there arose a countermovement aimed at deemphasizing the limited approach of Statistical Quality Control and restoring the concept that a broad collection of tools is needed for regulation, of which statistical methods is but öne. Various new terms were coined as labels for this countermovement, and some were well publicized, e.g., `Total Quality Control`. Total Quality Control is a concept wherein ali organizations, managers, and employees throughout a company, including those /vho make no direct contribution to the products ör services sold, practice planned quaüty control in ali that they do. During the 1960s, two additional movements helped to confuse the terminology. Öne of these was the trend to cpıantify reliability and related concepts. The advocates of this movement proposed to their companies the creation of Reliabüity Engineering departments /vhich would be independent of tiıe then existing Quality Managers. As part of their argument, these advocates contended that quality control as a regulatory process, and Ojuality Control as a regulatory department, had been limited in scope to `time zero` parameters. This contention was accepted in enough companies to undermine seriously the use of `Quality Control` as a comprehensive term for the regulatory process. Ouality Manager a person ör organization assigned the responsibüity and authority to design, develope, implement, and estabhsh a quality system ör to oversee such a system operation and make it work. Additional confusion was created by the `motivational` programs of the 1960s. These programs, often called `Zero Defects` and undertaken (mainly) by govemment contractors, attained wide national publicity under a theory that adequate motivation wül eliminate defects. Öne effect was again to undermine the prevailing terminology, since the terms used as names for the motivational programs received wider publicity. ft would be helprul to agree on a single term for the regulatory process. However, it vrould be difficult to secure such agreement. Most men tend to structure their glossary in a way which affims their beliefs on organization structure, on priority of technique, ete. There have been enough instances in which choice of terminology was decisive in setüing jurisdictional disputes to cause men to use terminology as a weapon in such contests. ft is not merely a matter of aggression; there are many sincere human beings who feel that broadly standardized terminology is a detriment to their company needs (ör personal aspirations) and that therefore new, local terminology must be respond to these needs. viiiQuality assurance is the activity of providing, to ali concerned, the evidence needed to establish confidence that the quality function is being performed adequately. While such is the meaning given, tibıe term `quality assurance` has other meanings as well. Practitioners are well advised to understand these multiple meanings, since confusion on this important tenn can lead to serious misunderstandings. The added meanings include the following: -The name of the department which provides formal cjualfty assurance as defined above. Ih such usage, the term is capitalized, i.e., Quahty Assurance. This meaning of the term gives liftle trouble. -A new, more glamorous name for the activity of quality control as defined in Quahty Control, above. Any remeaning of an activity vdthout changing its content is a sure step toward confusion. -A board üst of activities closely bound up wfth the quahty function, i.e., quaüty planning, control, coordination, assurance, analysis, ete. -The name of the deparment vvhich carries out this broad Üst of activities. This uses the - capitalized `Quahty Assurance` and involves the same problems as above. Quaüty Policy is (in İSO 9005) the overall quaüty intentions and objectives of an organization as formally expressed by serior management. Ali organirations have in mind (ör miting) some principles, creeds, beliefs, ete., vvhich are their broad guides to managerial conduct. These guides rest on a philosophical and ethical base. They concern important issues, are the result of much reflection, and are intended to have long üfe, i.e., to act as a stabüİ2sr. Ih tiny organizations where öne man makes ali the decisions, these guides to conduct are üterally `in mind`. The öne man operates in accordance wüh his unwritten code of conduct. Anyone who wants to discover that code must deduce it from the observed deeds. As organizations grow, more and more managers are engaged in making significant decisions. These decisions affect numerous people inside and out of the organization, including the managers themselves. Unless there is consistency in these decisions, there is no predictability; neither insiders nor outsiders know v*hat to expect. An impersonal way of creating this predictabihty is to think through, write down, and publish the pohcies which then become the basis for consistent conduct. Quality Assurance Program is the documented plans for implementing the Quality System. Attainment of product quahty requires an extensive activity of creating and using many kinds of information. Coollectively, these needs for information add up to a large, complex network ör system consisting of numerous interrelated subsystems. There are two majör components of this information systems: ix-Dooımentation: This concems the overall system used for collection, analysis, and use of quality information. Documentation which is done mainly by manual `paper work` systems ör by computer. -Configuration Management: This is a special information system used to maintain product identity, especially during a time of engjneering change. Documentation is any mitten, electronic, ör pictorial record describing, defining, specifying, reporting, ör certifying acttvities, requirements, procedures, ör resuft. Quality System is (in İSO 9005) the oıganization structure, responsibilities, procedures, activities, capabilües and resources that together aim to ensure that products, processes, and services (ör projects) will satisfy stated ör implied needs. Quality Assurance Manual is a document in wbich is assembled the quahty policity, organization charts, and operating procedures by which quality is controlled. it is usual for the chief executive officer to approve and sign the guality policy. The Quality Assurance Program shall be described in the Quality Assurance Manual. The Quality Assurance Manual shall: -Describe the organİ2ation, responsibility, and control features of the Quality Assurance Program develope to comply wüh the applicable referenced standart; -Provide the basis for development and application of detaüed procedures, vibidı may be separate from the Quality Assurance Manual. The Ouality Assurance Manual shall be controlled as to issuance and revision, including a method to identify and/or highüght the revisions. Procedure is a documented course of action that specifies ör describes how an activity is to be perfbrmed. it may include methods to be employed, equipment ör materials to be used, and sequence of operations. Company organized ali factors (technique, managerial, people) to effect Iheir products and services cjuality keep down to reach their companies target. Ali effort is aimed at; quaüty level increase and more important, ali defects remove. Quahty Assurance System for Nuclear Reactor, at present involving Üıe preparation and publication, by IAEA (ürtemational Atomic Energy Agency), of about 50 books in the form of Codes of Practice and Safety Guides, has become knovvn as tiıe NUSS programme (the letters being an acronym for NUcleer Safety Ştandards). xSince its inception the nuclear energy industry has maintained a safety record second to none. Recogniang the importance of this aspect of nuclear power and wishing to ensure the continuation of this record, the International Atomic Energy Agency established a vvide-ranging programme to provide the Member States wüh guidance on the many aspects associated with thermal neutron nuclear power reactors. The programme has become known as the NUSS programme. They will be revised as necessary in the light of experience to keep their contents up to date. Safety Guides and nevertheless Quality Assurance Programs have highest importance for training and research reactors and also power reactors. The aim of this study is to prepare Quality Assurance Program for I.T.U. TRIGA Mark-ü Reactor. xi ÖZET Kalite, bir ürün veya hizmetin, özellik veya karakteristiklerinin, mevcut veya ileride gerek duyulabilecek müşteri ihtiyaçlarını karşılayabilme yeterliliğidir. Kalite Güvence Sistemi; bir kuruluşta Kalite Yönetimi'nin gereklerini yerine getirmek için gereken yapısal örgütlenme, tanımlanmış sorumluluklar, uygulama esasları ve yöntemler ile bu amaca ayrılan kaynaklardır. Kalite Güvence Sistemi'ni uygulayabilmek için yönetim; etkin bir Kalite Sistemi kurmak, geliştirmek ve sistemin etkinliğini sürekli izlemek zorundadır. Toplam Kalite Programı'nın başarısı için; üst yönetimin tam inancı ve desteği, programın kuruluş ana stratejisi ile entegrasyonu, uygulamada taviz verilmemesi, her kademenin mutlak inanç ve katılımı, sabır ve devamlılık, gerekli olan temel konulardır. Kuruluş tarafından ürün kalitesini herhangi bir şekilde etkileyen bütün faaliyetlerin; kalite güvence içinde geçen planlanmış ve sistematize edilmiş faaliyetlerin belirli bir hedef doğrultusunda ve birbirleri ile olan ilişkileri de gözönüne alınarak bir bütünsellik gösterecek şekilde organize edilerek yönetilmesi, Kalite Yönetimi olarak tanımlanmaktadır. Buradaki belki de en önemli husus: Bir Kalite Güvence Sistemi'nin varlığı, kalitenin gerçekten güvenceye alındığını kanıtlama değildir. İstenilen kalite düzeyinin sağlanması ancak belirlenen sistem, prosedür ve yöntemlerin gerekli düzeyde olması ile mümkündür. Bir kuruluşun hedeflerine varabilmesi için ürün veya hizmetlerinin kalitesini etkileyen tüm etmenleri (teknik, yönetsel, insan) denetim atanda tutabilecek şekilde örgütlenmiş olması gerekir. Tüm cabalar, kalite düzeyini arttırmaya ve en önemlisi, kusurları tümüyle ortadan kaldırmaya yönelik olmalıdır. İTÜ TRIGA Mark-n Reaktörü'nde bir Kalite Güvence Sistemi kurmak, yapılan çalışmaların düzenlenerek; belirli bir sistem dahilinde; dokümante edilmesi ile mümkündür. İTÜ TRIGA Mark-n Reaktörü'nün ilk kuruluş aşamasında yazılan ve kurucu firma tarafından verilen çeşitli kaynaklardan faydalanılarak oluşturulmuş talimatlar, çizelgeler ve formlardan yararlanmak esastır. Nükleer güç reaktörlerinde olduğu gibi; eğitim ve araştırma nükleer reaktörleri ile diğer nükleer tesisler için de Güvenlik Kılavuzları ye bunların uzantısında Kalite Güvence Programlan büyük önem taşımaktadır. Bu çalışmada, İTÜ TRIGA Mark-n Reaktörü'nde yapılan çalışmalar düzenlenerek ve TS 5801 `Nükleer Tesisler-Kahte Temini` standardının maddeleri de esas alınarak; İTÜ TRIGA Mark-n Reaktörü için Kalite Güvence Sistemi açıklanmaya çalışılmıştır. vi 75

    Authors: Milagre, Renato Arcúrio;

    O presente estudo objetivou analisar como as ações de extensão universitária do Instituto Federal da Paraíba, em Cabedelo/PB, desenvolvem uma compreensão da comunidade acadêmica e municipal voltada para a sustentabilidade. Dessa forma, foi realizado um levantamento bibliográfico sobre os principais conceitos relacionados a esta temática, onde foi abordada a contextualização histórica sobre a universidade, a extensão universitária, a sustentabilidade, o Instituto Federal da Paraíba e o Campus Cabedelo. Assim sendo, foi feito um levantamento sobre esses conceitos com base nos estudos desenvolvidos por diversos autores. Esta pesquisa constitui um estudo de caso, com abordagem qualitativa e de natureza aplicada, em que o locus da investigação foi o Campus Cabedelo. Assim, foram selecionados para análise os dois núcleos de extensão permanentes mais atuantes dentre os sete existentes. Buscou-se analisar as ações desenvolvidas por esses núcleos a partir de cinco dimensões da sustentabilidade: social, ambiental, econômica, cultural e política. Ademais, para a coleta de dados foram realizadas entrevistas semiestruturadas. Já com relação à amostra, buscou-se abranger os diversos segmentos envolvidos com a extensão universitária, assim, foram determinadas as seguintes quantidades: 02 (dois) Coordenadores dos núcleos de extensão; 08 (oito) membros da comunidade de Cabedelo participantes dos projetos de extensão; 01 (um) Coordenador de Pesquisa/Extensão da instituição; 04 (quatro) parceiros sociais dos projetos e 04 (quatro) discentes que participam ou participaram dos projetos de extensão universitária, totalizando 19 (dezenove) entrevistados. Os resultados encontrados demonstram que a instituição desenvolve ações de extensão universitária que englobam diversas dimensões da sustentabilidade. Além disso, ressalta-se que os núcleos de extensão pesquisados possuem uma avaliação positiva da comunidade interna e externa. Entretanto, foram identificados alguns pontos a melhorar referentes à atuação da instituição. Por conseguinte, é de fundamental importância que o IFPB desenvolva estratégias que venham a minimizar os pontos negativos e reforçar os positivos de modo a melhorar a prática extensionista e com isso continuar gerando impactos positivos na comunidade de Cabedelo/PB. The present study aimed to analyze how university extension actions at the Instituto Federal da Paraíba, in Cabedelo / PB, develop an understanding of the academic and municipal community focused on sustainability. Thus, a bibliographic survey was carried out on the main concepts related to this theme, where the historical contextualization about the university, university extension, sustainability, the Instituto Federal da Paraíba and the Campus Cabedelo was approached. Therefore, a survey was made on these concepts based on studies developed by several authors. This research constitutes a case study, with a qualitative approach and of an applied nature, in which the locus of the investigation was the Campus Cabedelo. Thus, the two most active permanent extension nuclei among the seven existing ones were selected for analysis. We sought to analyze the actions developed by these nucleu's from five dimensions of sustainability: social, environmental, economic, cultural and political. In addition, semistructured interviews were conducted for data collection. Regarding the sample, we sought to cover the various segments involved with university extension, thus, the following quantities were determined: 02 (two) Coordinators of the extension nucleu's; 08 (eight) members of the Cabedelo community participating in the extension projects; 01 (one) Research Coordinator / Extension of the institution; 04 (four) social partners of the projects and 04 (four) students who participate or participated in the university extension projects, totaling 19 (nineteen) interviewed. The results found demonstrate that the institution develops university extension actions that encompass several dimensions of sustainability. In addition, it is emphasized that the extension nucleu's surveyed have a positive assessment of the internal and external community. However, some points to be improved regarding the institution's performance were identified. Therefore, it is of fundamental importance that the IFPB develops strategies that will minimize the negative points and reinforce the positive ones in order to improve the extension practice and thereby continue to generate positive impacts on the community of Cabedelo / PB.     Authors: Bright Akwasi Gyamfi; Stephen Taiwo Onifade; Elvis Kwame Ofori;

    A Educação Ambiental deve ser um processo abordado nos meios escolares para que o ser humano possa compreender sua relação com a natureza e buscar uma melhoria na preservação e conservação ambiental, tomando atitudes que venham beneficiar o meio ambiente e que proporcionem saúde e bem-estar para si e para os outros. O objetivo deste trabalho foi elaborar uma proposta de ensino-aprendizagem, envolvendo as principais questões ambientais da atualidade, com a utilização de práticas pedagógicas e através do desenvolvimento de um jogo educativo. A pesquisa foi realizada em uma escola estadual no município de Castro - PR, envolvendo uma turma da 1ª série do curso Técnico de Agropecuária, com cerca de trinta alunos. Durante o processo de aprendizagem, os alunos tiveram que pesquisar sobre temas socioambientais como: mudanças climáticas, resíduos sólidos e sustentabilidade. Após a fase de exploração, aplicou-se o jogo de tabuleiro com o objetivo de problematizar e simular situações do cotidiano que envolvem questões referentes às práticas sustentáveis. A partir de um questionário, elaborado conforme as propostas das Diretrizes Curriculares do Estado do Paraná (DCE’s) foi avaliado, pelo método qualitativo e quantitativo, o resultado em relação à aprendizagem dos alunos, que foi bastante satisfatório, pois se demonstrou que a aprendizagem com a utilização de jogo é muito significativa. Tal prática contribui também para despertar nos alunos o gosto pela pesquisa, leitura e problematização.     Authors: Ribeiro, Ana Maria Gomes;

    Diante da crise ecológica que ameaça a vida no planeta, alternativas têm sido pensadas no sentido de construir sociedades sustentáveis. Por exemplo, a agricultura familiar tem produzido de forma alternativa, adotando práticas agroecológicas; produtos seus têm sido incorporados à alimentação escolar, a educação tem sido invocada como educação ambiental para formar o “sujeito ecológico” etc. Neste sentido, este trabalho teve como objetivo geral analisar os aspectos educativos não formais presentes no processo de fornecimento de alimentos para a merenda escolar por agricultores familiares no município de Jacaraú-PB, tendo em conta o Programa Nacional de Alimentação Escolar (PNAE). Do ponto de vista do referencial teórico, a pesquisa teve em atenção, entre outras, elaborações em torno da Educação Ambiental Popular e da Agroecologia. No que diz respeito aos procedimentos metodológicos, tratou-se de uma investigação qualitativa realizada junto a agricultores familiares e membros da gestão vinculados à alimentação escolar no município de Jacaraú-PB, tendo como meio de coleta de dados entrevistas semiestruturadas, além de visitas – em forma de observação – às unidades de produção e armazenamento, realizando-se registros fotográficos. O material empírico resultante das entrevistas foi tratado conforme a técnica de análise de conteúdo temático-categorial, de onde resultaram as seguintes categorias: a operacionalização do PNAE na perspectiva dos agricultores fornecedores de alimentos; desafios da produção e comercialização na agricultura familiar; aspectos do desenvolvimento socioeconômico local e ambiental nas ações do PNAE; operacionalização do PNAE na perspectiva dos gestores; protagonistas do fornecimento de alimentos para a merenda escolar pelo PNAE; construindo a Educação Ambiental Popular a partir das ações do PNAE. Dentre os resultados, verificou se que aspectos educativos não formais presentes no processo de fornecimento de alimentos para a merenda escolar por agricultores familiares no município de Jacaraú-PB se relacionam ao aporte de informações para a sustentabilidade ambiental, para a alimentação saudável e para o desenvolvimento local inclusivo. Entre outras inferências conclusivas, é enfatizado que as ações do PNAE fomentam entre os envolvidos o sentimento de coletividade, a autonomia e a participação cidadã, a difusão de perspectivas orgânicas/agroecológicas e a consciência ambiental, num contexto de aprendizados a partir da prática e da troca de experiências. Faced with the ecological crisis that threatens life on the planet, alternatives have been thought up in order to build sustainable societies. For example, family farming has produced in an alternative way by adopting agroecological practices, its products have been incorporated into school meals, education has been invoked as environmental education to form the 'ecological subject', etc. In this sense, this work aimed to analyze the non-formal educational aspects present in the process of providing food for school meals by family farmers in the municipality of Jacaraú-PB, taking into account the National School Meals Programme (PNAE). From the point of view of the theoretical framework, the research took into account, for example, elaborations around Popular Environmental Education and Agroecology. Methodologically, it was a qualitative investigation carried out with family farmers and members of the municipal management responsible for school meals, using semi-structured interviews as a means of collecting data. In addition, visits were made to the production and storage units, taking photographic records. The empirical material resulting from the interviews was treated according to the thematic-category content analysis technique, from which the following categories resulted: operationalization of the PNAE from the perspective of food supplying farmers; challenges of production and commercialization in family farming; aspects of local socioeconomic and environmental development in PNAE actions; operationalization of the PNAE from the managers' perspective; protagonists of food supply for school meals by the PNAE; building Popular Environmental Education based on PNAE actions. Among the results, it was found that non-formal educational aspects present in the process of providing food for school meals by family farmers, in the municipality of Jacaraú-PB, relate to information for environmental sustainability, healthy eating and inclusive local development. On the conclusive aspects, it is emphasized that the actions of PNAE stimulate the feeling of collectivity, autonomy and citizen participation, the dissemination of organic/agroecological perspectives and environmental awareness, in a context of learning developed with reference to practice and the exchange of experiences.     Authors: Akaevren, Neziha Bilge;

Bu çalışmada, İTÜ TRIGA Mark-n Reaktörü'nde yapılan çalışmalar düzenlenerek ve TS 5801 `Nükleer Tesisler-Kahte Temini` standardının maddeleri de esas alınarak; İTÜ TRIGA Mark-n Reaktörü için Kalite Güvence Sistemi açıklanmaya çalışılmıştır. vi 75

    Authors: Milagre, Renato Arcúrio;

    O presente estudo objetivou analisar como as ações de extensão universitária do Instituto Federal da Paraíba, em Cabedelo/PB, desenvolvem uma compreensão da comunidade acadêmica e municipal voltada para a sustentabilidade. Dessa forma, foi realizado um levantamento bibliográfico sobre os principais conceitos relacionados a esta temática, onde foi abordada a contextualização histórica sobre a universidade, a extensão universitária, a sustentabilidade, o Instituto Federal da Paraíba e o Campus Cabedelo. Assim sendo, foi feito um levantamento sobre esses conceitos com base nos estudos desenvolvidos por diversos autores. Esta pesquisa constitui um estudo de caso, com abordagem qualitativa e de natureza aplicada, em que o locus da investigação foi o Campus Cabedelo. Assim, foram selecionados para análise os dois núcleos de extensão permanentes mais atuantes dentre os sete existentes. Buscou-se analisar as ações desenvolvidas por esses núcleos a partir de cinco dimensões da sustentabilidade: social, ambiental, econômica, cultural e política. Ademais, para a coleta de dados foram realizadas entrevistas semiestruturadas. Já com relação à amostra, buscou-se abranger os diversos segmentos envolvidos com a extensão universitária, assim, foram determinadas as seguintes quantidades: 02 (dois) Coordenadores dos núcleos de extensão; 08 (oito) membros da comunidade de Cabedelo participantes dos projetos de extensão; 01 (um) Coordenador de Pesquisa/Extensão da instituição; 04 (quatro) parceiros sociais dos projetos e 04 (quatro) discentes que participam ou participaram dos projetos de extensão universitária, totalizando 19 (dezenove) entrevistados. Os resultados encontrados demonstram que a instituição desenvolve ações de extensão universitária que englobam diversas dimensões da sustentabilidade. Além disso, ressalta-se que os núcleos de extensão pesquisados possuem uma avaliação positiva da comunidade interna e externa. Entretanto, foram identificados alguns pontos a melhorar referentes à atuação da instituição. Por conseguinte, é de fundamental importância que o IFPB desenvolva estratégias que venham a minimizar os pontos negativos e reforçar os positivos de modo a melhorar a prática extensionista e com isso continuar gerando impactos positivos na comunidade de Cabedelo/PB. The present study aimed to analyze how university extension actions at the Instituto Federal da Paraíba, in Cabedelo / PB, develop an understanding of the academic and municipal community focused on sustainability. Thus, a bibliographic survey was carried out on the main concepts related to this theme, where the historical contextualization about the university, university extension, sustainability, the Instituto Federal da Paraíba and the Campus Cabedelo was approached. Therefore, a survey was made on these concepts based on studies developed by several authors. This research constitutes a case study, with a qualitative approach and of an applied nature, in which the locus of the investigation was the Campus Cabedelo. Thus, the two most active permanent extension nuclei among the seven existing ones were selected for analysis. We sought to analyze the actions developed by these nucleu's from five dimensions of sustainability: social, environmental, economic, cultural and political. In addition, semistructured interviews were conducted for data collection. Regarding the sample, we sought to cover the various segments involved with university extension, thus, the following quantities were determined: 02 (two) Coordinators of the extension nucleu's; 08 (eight) members of the Cabedelo community participating in the extension projects; 01 (one) Research Coordinator / Extension of the institution; 04 (four) social partners of the projects and 04 (four) students who participate or participated in the university extension projects, totaling 19 (nineteen) interviewed. The results found demonstrate that the institution develops university extension actions that encompass several dimensions of sustainability. In addition, it is emphasized that the extension nucleu's surveyed have a positive assessment of the internal and external community. However, some points to be improved regarding the institution's performance were identified. Therefore, it is of fundamental importance that the IFPB develops strategies that will minimize the negative points and reinforce the positive ones in order to improve the extension practice and thereby continue to generate positive impacts on the community of Cabedelo / PB.
