    Coastal waters of Tangerang Regency has abundant in fish resource including pelagic, demersal, and reef fish. This study was conducted to assess fish biomass variability and of fish community structure in coastal waters of Tangerang Regency which can be used as a basis in determining alternatives for sustainable fish resource management. This research was conducted in June and August 2013 in three locations i.e., Kronjo, Cituis, and Tanjung Pasir. Primary data collected were fish weight per species. Fish biomass from each locations was obtained using swept area method using trawl. The results showed that Kronjo region contained the highest total average biomass of fish. Temporally, total ave-rage biomass of fish in August was higher than in June for Kronjo and Cituis. Meanwhile, the con-trary occurred in Tanjung Pasir. This conditions occurred due to the high current and high wave in August than in June. In general, biomass of planktivorous was dominant during the study indicating overfishing lead to fishing down the food web in the Coastal waters of Tangerang Regency.

    Tide height is an important parameter in obtaining the amount of tidal energy by utilizing the potential energy contained in the water caused by the movement of sea water caused tidal. Karimun waters of Riau Island province has a reservoir of 29.69 Ha former tin mining which is directly related to the sea connected by floodgates that allegedly contained the potential for tidal energy is high. Karimun tidal waters that occurs twice ebb tide twice the difference between the highest to the lowest ebb during spring tide reaches 3.8 m while the difference during neap 0.2 m. In the planning of generating tidal power necessary to study potential energy, mechanical energy, in addition to the natural factors that must be considered is the morphology of the beach, water characteristics, topography, rainfall, sea depth and lithology underwater, because it influences the volume of reservoirs, construction field and construction of energy converters. Design of tidal power generation using penstock pipe dimensions of 3.7 m, designed stainless kaplan turbines installed perpendicular coupled to a synchronous generator pole shoe (salient) 39889.7 kW generator power output. Results of analysis of tidal energy potential of an average of 46910.6 kWh in 2013 and average of 46605.4 kWh in 2014. It was concluded that the use of energy known to be used as a reference in planning tidal power plant.

    Area of Indonesia consists of 80% water, which contains abundance of potential fish resources, Those fish resources should be utilized for as much as prosperity and welfare for Indonesian. In fact, fish resourceshaven't enhanced the living standard, which is sustainable and equitable. Issues on fisheries come up such as exaggeration of fishing, theft fish, illegal fishing activities and the use of fish resources that exceeding thegeneration of fish itself. That circumstance will cause harm for the state, the fishermen, as well as people in general. The use of tools that harm the nature will cause the decrease of fish resources and threat thesustainability of fish resources. The aim of writing this article is to analyze law enforcement related to the sustainability of fish resources and the sustainability of fish resources, viewed from the perspective of justice.As the result of the study, law enforcement to protect the fish resources generally has not given attention to the sustainability of fish resources, therefore fishermen still use unfriendly tools to catch the fishes. Thoseunfriendly tools will cause the occurrence of over-fishing and will impact to the environmental damages. Those kinds of things will destruct the fishes, therefore the quantity of fish will have deteriorated and evencould be extinct. Those environmental damages would suffer the present generation as well as the next generation since they couldn't consume fish which is very essential for the growth of the human body anderadicate the job for the people as the fishermen. The present generation will be sinful if the next generation will get the impact of what the present generation done. In order to reduce more over-fishing activities and the distrust of the fish habitat it needs the law enforcement, which is oriented to the sustainability of fish resources. The sustainability of fishery resources couldn't maintain its existence, this could be seen as the symbol of environmental damages. In this case, the law also needs to make integration of fish resources sustainability to be processed so that it will result output law enforcement which is oriented to fish resourcessustainability. As a conclusion, in law enforcement oriented to fish resources sustainability, it needs to be thought by the lawmaker to embed that the law should contain idea or concept about justice, legal certainty,the significance of fish resources and the implementation of the law itself. In the fish resources utilization and law enforcements, it needs to pay attention to the justice principle; intergenerational equity; intergenerational equity; precautionary; conservation of biological diversity; conservation of biological diversity.

    Analysis of biomass and carbon stock on mangrove forest ecosytem in coastal area of North Rupat Riau Province has been conducted in January 2016. The method used in this study is a survey method with purposive sampling technique. The study showed that the potential mangrove biomass was directly proportional to mangrove carbon stocks. The average yield of biomass, carbon stocks of soil organic carbon and CO2 sequestration on mangrove forest was reserves amounted to 68,64 tons/ha , 904,75 tons/ha and 251,39 tons/ha, while the average yield of total carbon stocks was 973,31 tons/ha.

    The electrical energy is one of the important needs for coastal communities particularly in small islands that has not reached by national electricity network. In order to fulfill this particular electricity needs, we do variety diversification efforts, such as the utilization of the ocean currents. The purpose of this survey is to recognize the morphology of seafloor and characteristic of hydro-oceanography as a fixed reference location in using the current energy. The study area is in the Larantuka Strait between Flores and Adonara islands which is part of the Flores Strait, East Nusatenggara Province. The methods of this study are current measurements, tidal and meteorological parameter observations, condition of coastal morphology and seafloor of the study area. The result show that, the location for turbine position is in area with relatively gentle slope morphology at a 20 meters water depth and it is close to local community. Based on the analysis of ADCP mobile current measurement, the minimum current velocity is 0.004 m/sec and maximum 3.68 m/sec. Whereas, from the ADCP static measurements the current velocity is from 0.002 m/sec to 2.83 m/sec. This condition is closely related to the semi-diurnal tide type in the study area, with two pairs of flood and web events within 24 hours. Therefore, the results of ocean current energy analysis indicate that the study area is very potential for using as a power plant location.

    There were two kinds of monsoon winds in Indonesia. They are the east and the west monsoon winds. Both of them blow alternately in a year through the Indonesian territory. The velocity and energy of monsoon winds in Indonesian territorial sea were mapped by using MatLab program. The velocity and energy data were obtained by using QuikSCAT satellite from January 1999 until December 2009, meanwhile WindSat from January 2004 until December 2014. The results show that high energy of monsoon winds start from Indian oceans until Nusa Tenggara sea, then from Arafuru sea to Banda sea, Java sea, Karimata strait and the southern region of south Sulawesi.

    Http://dx.doi.org/10.17014/ijog.vol2no4.20075Bengkulu Basin is known as a fore arc basin, which located in the southwestern part of Sumatera Island. Bengkulu Basin is occupied by Oligo-Miocene siliciclastic, coal, and carbonate sediments. Coal, one of alternative energies which can substitute hydrocarbon, is found within the sedimentary rocks of the Middle to Upper Miocene Lemau Formation as observed in Ketaun, Bengkulu, and Seluma areas. The thickness of the coal seams in the Ketaun area ranges from 100 to 200 cm, whereas in the Bengkulu area it varies between 100 to 350 cm, and in Seluma area up to 450 cm. Megascopically, coal seams in the Ketaun area are black in colour, dull to dull banded, with brownish black in streak, whereas in the Bengkulu and Seluma areas show a black colour, bright banded, and black streak. The mean of vitrinite reflectant value (Rv) of coal seam in the Ketaun area ranges from 0.41 to 0.49%, whereas in the Bengkulu and Seluma area it varies from 0.44 to 1.12%. The higher vitrinite reflectance of the Bengkulu and Seluma coals is probably due to the influence of andesitic sill intrusion. In general, the coal in the Ketaun area was deposited in an environment of relatively more to marine direction or limited influx clastic marsh or lower delta plain, where the tree density decreased. However, the coal in the Bengkulu and Seluma areas occurred in an environment which was relatively more to land direction or telmatic, or upper delta plain or wet forest swamp, where the tree density increased.

    The research was conducted in January-Februari 2015 in coastal waters of Jago-Jago, North Sumatera.The aims ofthis study were to determine the nutrient content of sediment in seagrass ecosystem and to determine the ratio of C:N:P in the sediments by different sediment characteristics and determine the relationship of nutrient with density and biomass of seagrass. The parameters measured were included physical and chemical parameters of marine waters. The density was computed using a quadratic transect, while seagrass biomass was calculated by measuring dry weight of shoot. The value ratio of C:N:P in the sediment was obtained through the determination of carbon (C) in total by the method of Walkley & Black, total of nitrogen by Kjehdahl method and phosphorus total with Double Acid method. The results showed the average carbon content was 1.32117 to 2.47813%, the average nitrogen content was 0.63114 to 1.5468% and the average phosphorus was from 0.00002 to 0.0004%. The density of seagrass in the village of Jago-Jago was between 29 to 56.3 shoots/m2 and biomass of seagrass was between 651.26 to 1261.34 g/m2. Station III had a ratio of C:N:P =12011:14062:1 and provided good leverage, this can be indicated also by the total biomass and density of seagrass at this station was the highest. The C-organic, Nitrogen and Phosphorus in the sediment with density and biomass of seagrass had a weak relationship, there are other factors that might affect the density and biomass of seagrass in which were not measured in this study.

    The research was conducted from December 2014 to February 2015, in the coastal waters of Dumai, Riau Province. The research aimed to determine the tidal dynamics in relation to climate change. The research used survey method by performing 4 times periodically sampling. The result of measurement was then compared to Hydro-oceanographic Service Data.The results showed that tidal pattern in coastal waters of Dumai during a period of 3 months was classified into Mixed Semi-Diurnal Tides which occured 2 low tides and 2 high tides for 24 hours. Observations I-IV showed the tidal patterns were different because of different patterns of surface currents. Data of tidal pattern were compared to data obtained from Hydro-oceanographic data 3 years earlier showed a difference. Judging from the results of research that has been made known that there has been a rise in sea level if compared to data obtained from Hydro-oceanographic data 3 and 1 year before, namely an increase ranging between 19.5 to 22 cm. While the comparison of the data with the previous 2 years decreased, with a value of 45.5 cm. This means sea level in the study area has increased for 3 and 1 year. It was predicted that the existence of climate change has the effect of tidal conditions in these waters.

    This thesis entitled "Management Concept of Sustainability Fisherman’s Fishing Trap in Sibolga Ilir District of North Sibolga Subdistrict Sibolga City". This study aims to identify what institutions are involved in the management of fisherman’s fishing trap and identify management concept that sustainability fisherman’s fishing trap in Sibolga Ilir District of North Sibolga Subdistrict Sibolga City. Issues discussed in this thesis is what agencies are involved in the management of fisherman’s fishing trap, as well as how the concept of managing sustainability fisherman’s fishing trap in Sibolga Ilir District of North Sibolga Subdistrict Sibolga City. Management concepts in order to chart a sustainability fisherman’s fishing trap can be viewed through three perspectives: economically sustainable, socially sustainable and ecologically sustainable. This research is a qualitative descriptive study, in which the object of this study consists of two parts: a key informant government agencies in charge of managing fisherman’s fishing trap, as well as the usual informants fisherman’s fishing trap who meet the study criteria. Instruments used data analysis is to use editing system by improving the quality of the raw data and processed in the form of frequency tables based on techniques of collecting data through observation, interview, questionnaire, and the study of literature. Through data analysis, the obtained results that the management body fisherman’s fishing trap is the Department of Marine, Fisheries and Animal Husbandry Sibolga, Sibolga Port Administrator and Sibolga Ilir District. Where the concept of management of the three institutions to have a chart of the management of its own stake in accordance with their respective capacities. The management concept of fisherman’s fishing trap in Sibolga Ilir District of North Sibolga Subdistrict Sibolga City unsustainable, due to not been determined by the boundaries and the establishment of safe zones fisherman’s fishing trap, fishing trap use of excessive chart that indirect impacts on trophic structure and impact directly to the habitat. In addition to the increase in the number of saplings every year chart can directly affect the quality changes and important area of fisheries.     Coastal waters of Tangerang Regency has abundant in fish resource including pelagic, demersal, and reef fish. This study was conducted to assess fish biomass variability and of fish community structure in coastal waters of Tangerang Regency which can be used as a basis in determining alternatives for sustainable fish resource management. This research was conducted in June and August 2013 in three locations i.e., Kronjo, Cituis, and Tanjung Pasir. Primary data collected were fish weight per species. Fish biomass from each locations was obtained using swept area method using trawl. The results showed that Kronjo region contained the highest total average biomass of fish. Temporally, total ave-rage biomass of fish in August was higher than in June for Kronjo and Cituis. Meanwhile, the con-trary occurred in Tanjung Pasir. This conditions occurred due to the high current and high wave in August than in June. In general, biomass of planktivorous was dominant during the study indicating overfishing lead to fishing down the food web in the Coastal waters of Tangerang Regency.

    Tide height is an important parameter in obtaining the amount of tidal energy by utilizing the potential energy contained in the water caused by the movement of sea water caused tidal. Karimun waters of Riau Island province has a reservoir of 29.69 Ha former tin mining which is directly related to the sea connected by floodgates that allegedly contained the potential for tidal energy is high. Karimun tidal waters that occurs twice ebb tide twice the difference between the highest to the lowest ebb during spring tide reaches 3.8 m while the difference during neap 0.2 m. In the planning of generating tidal power necessary to study potential energy, mechanical energy, in addition to the natural factors that must be considered is the morphology of the beach, water characteristics, topography, rainfall, sea depth and lithology underwater, because it influences the volume of reservoirs, construction field and construction of energy converters. Design of tidal power generation using penstock pipe dimensions of 3.7 m, designed stainless kaplan turbines installed perpendicular coupled to a synchronous generator pole shoe (salient) 39889.7 kW generator power output. Results of analysis of tidal energy potential of an average of 46910.6 kWh in 2013 and average of 46605.4 kWh in 2014. It was concluded that the use of energy known to be used as a reference in planning tidal power plant.

    Area of Indonesia consists of 80% water, which contains abundance of potential fish resources, Those fish resources should be utilized for as much as prosperity and welfare for Indonesian. In fact, fish resourceshaven't enhanced the living standard, which is sustainable and equitable. Issues on fisheries come up such as exaggeration of fishing, theft fish, illegal fishing activities and the use of fish resources that exceeding thegeneration of fish itself. That circumstance will cause harm for the state, the fishermen, as well as people in general. The use of tools that harm the nature will cause the decrease of fish resources and threat thesustainability of fish resources. The aim of writing this article is to analyze law enforcement related to the sustainability of fish resources and the sustainability of fish resources, viewed from the perspective of justice.As the result of the study, law enforcement to protect the fish resources generally has not given attention to the sustainability of fish resources, therefore fishermen still use unfriendly tools to catch the fishes. Thoseunfriendly tools will cause the occurrence of over-fishing and will impact to the environmental damages. Those kinds of things will destruct the fishes, therefore the quantity of fish will have deteriorated and evencould be extinct. Those environmental damages would suffer the present generation as well as the next generation since they couldn't consume fish which is very essential for the growth of the human body anderadicate the job for the people as the fishermen. The present generation will be sinful if the next generation will get the impact of what the present generation done. In order to reduce more over-fishing activities and the distrust of the fish habitat it needs the law enforcement, which is oriented to the sustainability of fish resources. The sustainability of fishery resources couldn't maintain its existence, this could be seen as the symbol of environmental damages. In this case, the law also needs to make integration of fish resources sustainability to be processed so that it will result output law enforcement which is oriented to fish resourcessustainability. As a conclusion, in law enforcement oriented to fish resources sustainability, it needs to be thought by the lawmaker to embed that the law should contain idea or concept about justice, legal certainty,the significance of fish resources and the implementation of the law itself. In the fish resources utilization and law enforcements, it needs to pay attention to the justice principle; intergenerational equity; intergenerational equity; precautionary; conservation of biological diversity; conservation of biological diversity.

    Analysis of biomass and carbon stock on mangrove forest ecosytem in coastal area of North Rupat Riau Province has been conducted in January 2016. The method used in this study is a survey method with purposive sampling technique. The study showed that the potential mangrove biomass was directly proportional to mangrove carbon stocks. The average yield of biomass, carbon stocks of soil organic carbon and CO2 sequestration on mangrove forest was reserves amounted to 68,64 tons/ha , 904,75 tons/ha and 251,39 tons/ha, while the average yield of total carbon stocks was 973,31 tons/ha.

    The electrical energy is one of the important needs for coastal communities particularly in small islands that has not reached by national electricity network. In order to fulfill this particular electricity needs, we do variety diversification efforts, such as the utilization of the ocean currents. The purpose of this survey is to recognize the morphology of seafloor and characteristic of hydro-oceanography as a fixed reference location in using the current energy. The study area is in the Larantuka Strait between Flores and Adonara islands which is part of the Flores Strait, East Nusatenggara Province. The methods of this study are current measurements, tidal and meteorological parameter observations, condition of coastal morphology and seafloor of the study area. The result show that, the location for turbine position is in area with relatively gentle slope morphology at a 20 meters water depth and it is close to local community. Based on the analysis of ADCP mobile current measurement, the minimum current velocity is 0.004 m/sec and maximum 3.68 m/sec. Whereas, from the ADCP static measurements the current velocity is from 0.002 m/sec to 2.83 m/sec. This condition is closely related to the semi-diurnal tide type in the study area, with two pairs of flood and web events within 24 hours. Therefore, the results of ocean current energy analysis indicate that the study area is very potential for using as a power plant location.

    There were two kinds of monsoon winds in Indonesia. They are the east and the west monsoon winds. Both of them blow alternately in a year through the Indonesian territory. The velocity and energy of monsoon winds in Indonesian territorial sea were mapped by using MatLab program. The velocity and energy data were obtained by using QuikSCAT satellite from January 1999 until December 2009, meanwhile WindSat from January 2004 until December 2014. The results show that high energy of monsoon winds start from Indian oceans until Nusa Tenggara sea, then from Arafuru sea to Banda sea, Java sea, Karimata strait and the southern region of south Sulawesi.

    Http://dx.doi.org/10.17014/ijog.vol2no4.20075Bengkulu Basin is known as a fore arc basin, which located in the southwestern part of Sumatera Island. Bengkulu Basin is occupied by Oligo-Miocene siliciclastic, coal, and carbonate sediments. Coal, one of alternative energies which can substitute hydrocarbon, is found within the sedimentary rocks of the Middle to Upper Miocene Lemau Formation as observed in Ketaun, Bengkulu, and Seluma areas. The thickness of the coal seams in the Ketaun area ranges from 100 to 200 cm, whereas in the Bengkulu area it varies between 100 to 350 cm, and in Seluma area up to 450 cm. Megascopically, coal seams in the Ketaun area are black in colour, dull to dull banded, with brownish black in streak, whereas in the Bengkulu and Seluma areas show a black colour, bright banded, and black streak. The mean of vitrinite reflectant value (Rv) of coal seam in the Ketaun area ranges from 0.41 to 0.49%, whereas in the Bengkulu and Seluma area it varies from 0.44 to 1.12%. The higher vitrinite reflectance of the Bengkulu and Seluma coals is probably due to the influence of andesitic sill intrusion. In general, the coal in the Ketaun area was deposited in an environment of relatively more to marine direction or limited influx clastic marsh or lower delta plain, where the tree density decreased. However, the coal in the Bengkulu and Seluma areas occurred in an environment which was relatively more to land direction or telmatic, or upper delta plain or wet forest swamp, where the tree density increased.

    The research was conducted in January-Februari 2015 in coastal waters of Jago-Jago, North Sumatera.The aims ofthis study were to determine the nutrient content of sediment in seagrass ecosystem and to determine the ratio of C:N:P in the sediments by different sediment characteristics and determine the relationship of nutrient with density and biomass of seagrass. The parameters measured were included physical and chemical parameters of marine waters. The density was computed using a quadratic transect, while seagrass biomass was calculated by measuring dry weight of shoot. The value ratio of C:N:P in the sediment was obtained through the determination of carbon (C) in total by the method of Walkley & Black, total of nitrogen by Kjehdahl method and phosphorus total with Double Acid method. The results showed the average carbon content was 1.32117 to 2.47813%, the average nitrogen content was 0.63114 to 1.5468% and the average phosphorus was from 0.00002 to 0.0004%. The density of seagrass in the village of Jago-Jago was between 29 to 56.3 shoots/m2 and biomass of seagrass was between 651.26 to 1261.34 g/m2. Station III had a ratio of C:N:P =12011:14062:1 and provided good leverage, this can be indicated also by the total biomass and density of seagrass at this station was the highest. The C-organic, Nitrogen and Phosphorus in the sediment with density and biomass of seagrass had a weak relationship, there are other factors that might affect the density and biomass of seagrass in which were not measured in this study.

    The research was conducted from December 2014 to February 2015, in the coastal waters of Dumai, Riau Province. The research aimed to determine the tidal dynamics in relation to climate change. The research used survey method by performing 4 times periodically sampling. The result of measurement was then compared to Hydro-oceanographic Service Data.The results showed that tidal pattern in coastal waters of Dumai during a period of 3 months was classified into Mixed Semi-Diurnal Tides which occured 2 low tides and 2 high tides for 24 hours. Observations I-IV showed the tidal patterns were different because of different patterns of surface currents. Data of tidal pattern were compared to data obtained from Hydro-oceanographic data 3 years earlier showed a difference. Judging from the results of research that has been made known that there has been a rise in sea level if compared to data obtained from Hydro-oceanographic data 3 and 1 year before, namely an increase ranging between 19.5 to 22 cm. While the comparison of the data with the previous 2 years decreased, with a value of 45.5 cm. This means sea level in the study area has increased for 3 and 1 year. It was predicted that the existence of climate change has the effect of tidal conditions in these waters.

    This thesis entitled "Management Concept of Sustainability Fisherman’s Fishing Trap in Sibolga Ilir District of North Sibolga Subdistrict Sibolga City". This study aims to identify what institutions are involved in the management of fisherman’s fishing trap and identify management concept that sustainability fisherman’s fishing trap in Sibolga Ilir District of North Sibolga Subdistrict Sibolga City. Issues discussed in this thesis is what agencies are involved in the management of fisherman’s fishing trap, as well as how the concept of managing sustainability fisherman’s fishing trap in Sibolga Ilir District of North Sibolga Subdistrict Sibolga City. Management concepts in order to chart a sustainability fisherman’s fishing trap can be viewed through three perspectives: economically sustainable, socially sustainable and ecologically sustainable. This research is a qualitative descriptive study, in which the object of this study consists of two parts: a key informant government agencies in charge of managing fisherman’s fishing trap, as well as the usual informants fisherman’s fishing trap who meet the study criteria. Instruments used data analysis is to use editing system by improving the quality of the raw data and processed in the form of frequency tables based on techniques of collecting data through observation, interview, questionnaire, and the study of literature. Through data analysis, the obtained results that the management body fisherman’s fishing trap is the Department of Marine, Fisheries and Animal Husbandry Sibolga, Sibolga Port Administrator and Sibolga Ilir District. Where the concept of management of the three institutions to have a chart of the management of its own stake in accordance with their respective capacities.
