    Dissertação de Mestrado em Design com a especialização em Design de Produto apresentada na Faculdade de Arquitetura da Universidade de Lisboa para obtenção do grau de Mestre. O turismo vai muito além da atração de turistas para destinos paradisíacos, representando uma contribuição indispensável para o desenvolvimento de um país. O crescimento deste setor torna-o cada vez mais relevante para a economia, pela sua influência em inúmeros ramos que o rodeiam. No entanto, os recursos e a infraestrutura necessária para sustentar esse enorme crescimento do setor levou a um aumento da pressão sobre os recursos naturais, a biodiversidade e as comunidades locais. Num contexto marítimo-turístico (MT) a nível nacional, observa-se um cenário dominado pelo reaproveitamento de embarcações antigas ou originalmente destinadas a outra função sem a mínima adaptação e pela utilização da mesma embarcação para diferentes tipos de programas marítimos. Por outro lado no contexto internacional, os serviços marítimo-turísticos caracterizam-se por uma enorme dependência da sazonalidade, deparando-se com uma ampla variação do nível de procura, dificultada ainda pela variação das condições climáticas ente épocas. Em comum existe uma falta de investimento e inovação na construção ou reconstrução de embarcações com fontes de energias sustentáveis e adequadas ao tipo de atividade específico onde atuam. Os objetivos da investigação procuraram preencher esta lacuna, tanto a nível de adequação da embarcação aos requisitos de cada atividade, como da adaptação às condições impostas pela sazonalidade, considerando, simultaneamente, a inclusão de estratégias sustentáveis no setor. De forma a fazer o enquadramento do tema, analisaram-se os requisitos das atividades disponibilizadas e dos respetivos utilizadores, as necessidades e limitações da embarcação, as possibilidades para a integração da modularidade, bem como as vantagens e desvantagens das fontes de propulsão e materiais possíveis. Numa fase seguinte foram analisados e selecionados os dados mais relevantes para a posterior orientação do projeto, que constitui a etapa seguinte. Nesta investigação foi projetado um modelo que poderá representar, num futuro próximo, um contributo na construção de embarcações turísticas em sistemas modulares. De forma a alcançar tais objetivos, foi aplicada uma metodologia mista, fundamentada em três metodologias de base qualitativa não intervencionista e intervencionista. Esta inicia-se com a crítica da literatura, usada na fase seguinte para formalizar e testar uma hipótese através da investigação ativa, com entrevistas e casos de estudo. De seguida passa-se para a fase intervencionista de cariz projetual com a proposta de um modelo. Aplicando esta metodologia o objetivo será a consolidação da proposta para que o resultado da investigação seja um projeto inovador que responda aos requisitos atuais do mercado. O estudo de uma embarcação turística modular e sustentável pode representar um caminho para uma solução viável e promissora neste setor, sendo a falta de inovação e investimento, a pressão ambiental e a forte sazonalidade três problemáticas tão atuais e próximas da área de investigação. ABSTRACT: Tourism goes far beyond attracting tourists to paradisiacal destinations, representing an indispensable contribution to the development of a country. The growth of this sector makes it increasingly relevant to the economy, due to its influence in numerous branches that surround it. However, the resources and infrastructure needed to sustain this huge growth in the sector has led to increased pressure on natural resources, biodiversity and local communities. In a maritime-tourist context (MT) at national level, there is a scenario dominated by the reuse of old vessels or originally intended for another function without the slightest adaptation and by the use of the same vessel for different types of maritime programs. On the other hand, in the international context, maritime-touristic services are characterized by an enormous dependence on seasonality, facing a wide variation in the level of demand, further hampered by the variation of climatic conditions between seasons. In common, there is a lack of investment and innovation in the construction or reconstruction of vessels with sustainable energy sources and appropriate to the specific type of activity in which they operate. The research objectives sought to fill this gap, both in terms of adapting the vessel to the requirements of each activity, as well as adapting to the conditions imposed by seasonality, while considering the inclusion of sustainable strategies in the sector. In order to frame the theme, the requirements of the activities provided and the respective users were analyzed, the needs and limitations of the vessel, the possibilities for integrating modularity, as well as the advantages and disadvantages of the propulsion sources and possible materials . In a next phase, the most relevant data were analyzed and selected for the later orientation of the project, which constitutes the next stage. In this investigation, a model was designed that could represent, in the near future, a contribution in the construction of tourist boats in modular systems. In order to achieve these objectives, a mixed methodology was applied, based on three non-interventionist and interventional qualitative methodologies. This begins with the criticism of the literature, used in the next phase to formalize and test a hypothesis through active investigation, with interviews and case studies. Then we move on to the interventionist phase of a design nature with the proposal of a model. Applying this methodology the objective will be the consolidation of the proposal so that the result of the investigation is an innovative project that responds to the current requirements of the market. The study of a modular and sustainable tourist vessel can represent a path to a viable and promising solution in this sector, with the lack of innovation and investment, environmental pressure and strong seasonality being three issues so current and close to the research area.     Authors: Silva, Viviane Conceição da;

    Esta dissertação investiga a implementação de uma plataforma tecnológica para monitorar métricas (Environmental, Social, and Governance - ESG) 1 no sector energético, com foco na Galp Energia, uma das principais empresas do sector em Portugal. Este estudo é motivado pela necessidade de a empresa cumprir as rigorosas exigências impostas pela nova Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD)2 da União Europeia. A plataforma adotada tem como objetivo centralizar e automatizar a gestão dos dados ESG, esperando melhorias na precisão, transparência e conformidade dos relatórios. A pesquisa baseia-se numa revisão de literatura que sustenta a realização de sete entrevistas com os principais responsáveis pela implementação do projeto, bem como com os futuros utilizadores da nova plataforma. Estas entrevistas são complementadas por uma análise documental fornecida pela Galp, incluindo informação detalhada sobre o processo de seleção e desenvolvimento da plataforma, relatórios institucionais e outras fontes disponíveis na internet. Da revisão de literatura aprende-se que os desafios da implementação de uma plataforma tecnológica para gestão de ESG são: a integração de dados provenientes de múltiplas fontes, a complexidade da adaptação organizacional e a necessidade de garantir a coerência entre as práticas operacionais e os requisitos regulatórios. Por outro lado, os benefícios incluem uma maior eficiência operacional, redução de custos associados à monitorização dos indicadores ESG e um fortalecimento da capacidade da empresa em gerir a sustentabilidade de forma holística e integrada. Embora a utilização de plataformas tecnológicas para a gestão de métricas ESG seja um fenómeno relativamente recente, há uma crescente quantidade de literatura que explora os seus benefícios e desafios. Contudo, devido à novidade do tema, ainda existe uma carência de bibliografia mais consolidada que permita uma análise aprofundada e abrangente do impacto destas soluções no longo prazo. Esta lacuna reforça a relevância do presente estudo, que visa contribuir para o corpo de conhecimento existente, oferecendo uma visão prática e detalhada da implementação de uma plataforma ESG numa empresa do sector energético. O estudo de caso permitiu concluir que a adoção da plataforma tecnológica poderá resultar em melhorias significativas na capacidade da Galp Energia de cumprir as exigências regulatórias e de apresentar relatórios ESG mais completos e precisos. Além disso, a utilização de uma ferramenta centralizada, se bem-sucedida após a sua implementação, poderá proporcionar uma maior agilidade na tomada de decisões estratégicas, com base em dados fiáveis e em tempo real, contribuindo para a consolidação da posição da Galp como líder em sustentabilidade no sector energético. This dissertation investigates the implementation of a technological platform for monitoring Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) metrics in the energy sector, focusing on Galp Energia, one of the leading companies in the sector in Portugal. This study is motivated by the need for the company to comply with the stringent requirements imposed by the European Union's new Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD). The adopted platform aims to centralize and automate the management of ESG data, with the expectation of improving the accuracy, transparency, and compliance of reports. The research is based on a literature review that supports seven interviews with key personnel responsible for the project’s implementation and future users of the platform, complemented by a documentary analysis provided by Galp. This documentation includes information on the selection and development process of the platform, institutional reports, and publicly available online sources. From the literature review, it is learned that the challenges of implementing a technological platform for ESG management include the integration of data from multiple sources, the complexity of organizational adaptation, and the need to ensure consistency between operational practices and regulatory requirements. On the other hand, the benefits include increased operational efficiency, reduced costs associated with monitoring ESG indicators, and enhanced company capacity to manage sustainability in a holistic and integrated manner. Although the use of technological platforms for managing ESG metrics is a relatively recent phenomenon, there is a growing body of literature that explores its benefits and challenges. However, due to the novelty of the subject, there remains a lack of more consolidated bibliographical sources that allow for a comprehensive and in-depth analysis of the long-term impact of these solutions. This gap underscores the relevance of the present study, which aims to contribute to the existing body of knowledge by offering a practical and detailed view of the implementation of an ESG platform in an energy company. The case study concluded that the adoption of the technological platform could result in significant improvements in Galp Energia's ability to meet regulatory requirements and produce more comprehensive and accurate ESG reports. Furthermore, the use of a centralized tool, if successfully implemented, could provide greater agility in strategic decision-making, based on reliable and real-time data, contributing to consolidating Galp's position as a leader in sustainability within the energy sector. info:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersion

    Authors: Monteiro, Valter Jorge Lopes;

    Mestrado em Engenharia Civil e do Ambiente na Escola Superior de Tecnologia e Gestão do Instituto Politécnico de Viana do Castelo As alterações climáticas constituem uma grande ameaça ambiental, social e económica que o mundo enfrente nos dias de hoje. O setor dos resíduos sólidos desempenha um papel importante neste combate, dado que sendo responsável por 3 a 5% das emissões dos Gases de Efeito de Estufa (GEE), de acordo com estudos da ISWA, pode contribuir com o sequestro de cerca de 13% desses gases. Os aterros sanitários, devido à composição dos resíduos depositados ser maioritariamente matéria orgânica, é uma fonte de produção de biogás, em que o metano é maioritário, sendo 21 a 25 vezes (dados do IPCC) mais nefasto para a atmosfera que o dióxido de carbono, o outro constituinte maioritário do biogás. Assim, a extração do biogás em aterros sanitários e a sua queima constitui uma das medidas mais efetivas para a diminuição do risco e no combate às alterações climáticas. Os resíduos urbanos dos 6 municípios da RESULIMA depositam cerca de 356 t/dia de resíduos urbanos (2015). A desgaseificação é feita através de poços, normalmente implantados considerando um raio de influência de desgaseificação de cada poço de 25 metros. No entanto, tem-se verificado que as emissões também se processam através das camadas de cobertura fora da ação destes poços e, sobretudo, durante a exploração, através das coberturas provisórias ou intermédias realizadas com terras e que importa quantificar. No presente trabalho foram realizadas medições contínuas do biogás nos diversos poços de desgaseificação para avaliar a evolução quantitativa e qualitativa de geração de biogás no aterro, com o tempo. Também se analisaram os dados históricos do biogás, que a empresa RESULIMA detém, em complemento dos dados obtidos no decurso dos trabalhos. Numa segunda etapa, com o objetivo de avaliar o efeito barreira à passagem de gases das coberturas intermédias, procedeu-se à medição das emissões fugidias do biogás com câmara de fluxo em diversos pontos do topo do aterro, com espessuras diferentes, constatando-se que a eficiência à passagem de gases das camadas de coberturas intermédias depende do material e da espessura do mesmo, bem como do modo de operação do aterro, de que se salienta o grau de compactação. Climate change is currently a major environmental, social and economic threat which the world is facing. The solid waste sector plays an important role in this fight as, according to ISWA studies, it accounts for 3 to 5% of the greenhouse gas emissions (GHG) and can contribute to the sequestration of about 13% of these gases. Due to the fact that deposited waste is mainly composed of organic matter, landfills are a source of biogas production, most of which is methane, which makes it 21 to 25 times (IPCC data) more harmful to the atmosphere than carbon dioxide, the other major constituent of biogas. Therefore, the extraction of biogas from landfills and its burning is one of the most effective measures for reducing risks and fighting climate change. The 6 municipalities of RESULIMA deposit around 356 t / day of urban waste (2015). The degassing is done by means of wells that are usually implanted considering a 25-metre radius of influence of degassing of each well. However, it has been found that the emissions are also processed through the cover layers beyond the action of these wells and, especially during the study, through the temporary or intermediate covers carried out with soil, which it is also important to quantify. Throughout this study, continuous measurements of the biogas were carried out in the various degassing wells to evaluate the quantitative and qualitative evolution of biogas generation in the landfill over time. The historical biogas data that RESULIMA owns was also analysed, in addition to the information obtained during the study. During a second phase, with the aim of evaluating the barrier effect of the passage of gases from the intermediate cover layers, the fleeting emissions of the biogas were measured with a chamber gas-flow meter at several points of the top of the landfill, with different thicknesses, which led to the conclusion that the gas flow efficiency of the intermediate cover layers depends on the material and the thickness thereof, as well as on the operation mode and compactness of the landfill.

    RESUMO: O objectivo da Enterprise Europe Network é ajudar as empresas a inovar e a competir melhor internacionalmente. As empresas que pretendam inovar e competir podem estabelecer parcerias com as suas congéneres estrangeiras utilizando esta rede. Necessitam também de instrumentos que lhes permitam avaliar o seu desempenho. As crescentes preocupações com o Desenvolvimento Sustentável levaram ao progressivo reequacionamento das atividades empresariais tendo em conta os aspetos ambientais e sociais e não apenas os tradicionalmente utilizados na avaliação do desempenho das empresas, essencialmente os económicos e técnicos. É assim que surge a necessidade de uma atualização da metologia da Análise do Valor, passando a integrar os componentes da Sustentabilidade na definição de Valor Sustentável. O Valor Ssutentável, proposto nesta brochura, é um indicador calculado a partir da relação desempenho versus recursos envolvidos de modo a garantir esse desempenho. Tem em linha de conta a tripla linha de base da sustentabilidade e não apenas interesses economicistas contribuindo também para a circularidade da economia. ABSTRACT: The aim of the Enterprise Europe Network is to help companies innovate and compete better internationally. Factors such as environmental restrictions and technological advances have enabled the insertion of renewable energy sources (e.g. photovoltaic and wind systems) as distributed generators (DG), in the electrical grid. However, because of the intermittent nature of the energy in solar radiation and wind, control strategies for regulating the DG power flow are necessary to ensure a proper connection of these systems to the grid. These control strategies are applied to the DG and the grid interface, which is implemented by grid-connected power converters. Grid-connected power converters can be controlled to operate as a controlled current source (grid-feeding converters) or as a controlled voltage source (grid-forming converters), in which the grid-feeding power converter (GFD-PC) systems are suitable to deliver power to an energized grid, while grid-forming power converter (GFO-PC) systems can contribute for regulating the grid voltage and frequency. When connected to a low voltage grid, GFD-PC systems can cause voltage deviation in the grid, and GFO-PC systems are subject to active and reactive power coupling. These drawbacks can be overcome with the use of the virtual impedance concept, which is a technique that can change the output impedance of power converters. Therefore, it can modify the equivalent impedance between the power converter and the grid, thus improving the power flow control of GFO-PC, and achieving voltage support of GFDPC systems. In this direction, this doctoral thesis proposes implementations of virtual impedances to overcome the drawbacks of GFO-PC and GFD-PC systems connected to the low voltage grid to meet the requirements of power flow control in DG systems. ; Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior - CAPES ; Fatores como restrições ambientais e avanços tecnológicos têm possibilitado a inserção de fontes de energias renováveis (por exemplo, sistemas fotovoltaicos e eólicos), na forma de geradores distribuídos (GD), na rede elétrica. Várias Conferencias das Partes (COP) foram realizadas, definindo ações e metas a serem cumpridas pelas nações, que visem valorizar os ecossistemas e a reduzir a extinção de espécies, garantindo a diversidade genética; o uso sustentável da biodiversidade e o reconhecimento real do custo dos serviços ecossistêmicos prestados à sociedade; a repartição de benefícios do uso dos recursos genéticos junto as suas comunidades de origem, incluindo suas sequencias digitais; a disponibilização de recursos financeiros relevantes para garantir a capacitação e a cooperação técnica e científica; e, o acesso a transferência de tecnologia de forma equitativa à todos os países. Todas elas pressupõem o uso de tecnologias e sua disseminação para as populações locais, além de ações no marco do conceito de Bioeconomia. O presente texto procura trazer referências para questões que envolvem os usos dos recursos biológicos, a biodiversidade, e o uso econômico, a bioeconomia, e sugere uma reflexão: se a parceria é legítima, qual o melhor modelo? Abstract: Biodiversity conservation, a subject that was previously distant from the Brazilian society, is addressed in different international forums, led by the United Nations (UN) notably in the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD). Several Conferences of the Parties (COP) were held and defined actions and goals to be met by nations, which aim to value ecosystems and reduce the extinction of species, guaranteeing genetic diversity; the sustainable use of biodiversity and the real recognition of the cost of ecosystem services provided to society; the sharing of benefits from the use of genetic resources with their communities of origin, including their digital sequences; the provision of relevant financial resources to guarantee training, technical and scientific cooperation; and, equitable access to technology transfer to all countries. All of them require the use of technologies and their dissemination to local populations, in addition to actions within the framework of the bioeconomy concept. This text seeks to bring references to issues involving the use of biological resources, biodiversity, and its economic use, bioeconomy, and suggests a reflection: if the partnership is legitimate, what would be the suitable model?

This text seeks to bring references to issues involving the use of biological resources, biodiversity, and its economic use, bioeconomy, and suggests a reflection: if the partnership is legitimate, what would be the suitable model?

; Photovoltaic energy has been gaining more and more space in the Brazilian energy matrix. Therefore, the hypothesis was raised of using remaining spaces of Public Universities, where they are usually left aside because they are a large area in disuse, for the installation of a photovoltaic plant. Where the main focus is the installation of a shared distributed photovoltaic minigeneration plant. The campuses to be studied during the analysis were three campuses of Universidade Estadual Paulista - UNESP, namely: Itapeva, Ourinhos and Rosana, in which their available areas are respectively 32.4 thousand m², 65.13 thousand m² and 37 .77 thousand m². In these areas presented, it is possible to install plants of up to 6.91MW, 13.86MW and 8.04MW. That is, we have that all campuses would reach a power greater than 5MW, in which it would be possible to install a plant for minigeneration and there would still be enough space for expansion of the system, or even the creation of a hybrid plant.

    Due to the environmental degradation caused by civil construction, there is a concern with finding alternative materials, in order to save natural resources and avoid the disordered deposition of waste. Thus, the objective was to analyze the technical feasibility of using tempered glass waste to replace coarse aggregate in concrete. The mass substitutions of gravel for glass followed the proportions of 0, 10, 20, 50, 70 and 100%. The granulometry of the glass residue, the consistency of the concrete in a fresh and hardened state, the specific mass of the wet concrete and its resistance to compression after 28 days were analyzed. The granulometry of the glass is comparable to that of the gravel, while the consistency of the concrete decreased with the increase in the replacement of the gravel by the glass residue. The results of specific density of the concrete and the resistance to compression, did not present significant variations in relation to the conventional concrete. Therefore, the use of this residue as a coarse aggregate in concrete has achieved positive technical and ecological results. However, a greater understanding of its execution is necessary, being indicated, a priori, only for non-structural purposes. ; Devido à degradação ambiental provocada pela construção civil, nota-se a preocupação em encontrar materiais alternativos, a fim de poupar recursos naturais e evitar a deposição desordenada de resíduos. Desta maneira, objetivou-se analisar a viabilidade técnica da utilização de resíduos de vidro temperado em substituição ao agregado graúdo em concretos. As substituições em massa da brita pelo vidro seguiram as proporções de 0, 10, 20, 50, 70 e 100%. Analisou-se a granulometria do resíduo de vidro, a consistência do concreto em estado fresco e endurecido, a massa específica do concreto úmido e sua resistência a compressão com 28 dias. A granulometria do vidro se equiparou a da brita, enquanto a consistência do concreto diminuiu com o aumento da substituição da brita pelo resíduo de vidro. Os ...

    This master’s thesis deals with the development of modeling and a control strategy for a hybrid renewable energy microgeneration system hydro-PV employing a three-phase three-leg Split- Source Inverter (SSI). Integration of different generation sources can require a large different converter topologies. The SSI merges the inversion and Boost stages in one single power conversion system. In addition, the proposed control strategy ensures regulation for balanced ac voltages on the Point of Common Coupling (PCC), load disturbance rejection and harmonic compensation in self-excited induction generator (SEIG) based systems, in this case, as hydroelectric energy system, providing the required active and reactive power. Moreover, hybrid systems play an important role in stand-alone power generation, the integration of photovoltaic (PV) power source into the microgrid system provides flexibility and reliability, enabling the power flow management. The modeling of the system and the design of the resonant and proportional integral controllers are presented. Furthermore, simulation and experimental results are presented to demonstrate the performance of the proposed control strategy, which contemplates the requirements recommended by the IEEE Standard 519. ; Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior - CAPES ; Esta dissertação de mestrado trata do desenvolvimento da modelagem e estratégia de controle para um sistema híbrido de microgeração de energia renovável hidro-PV empregando um Inversor de fonte dividida (Split-Source Inverter - SSI) trifásico com três pernas. A integração de diferentes fontes de geração pode exigir uma grande variedade de topologias de conversores. O SSI combina os estágios de inversão e elevação (Boost) em um único sistema de conversão de energia. Além disso, a estratégia de controle proposta garante a regulação para tensões CA balanceadas no Ponto de Acoplamento Comum (PAC), rejeição de perturbações de carga e compensação harmônica em sistemas baseados em gerador de indução ...

    Wind generators have recurring operating interruptions due to internal failures. Internal failures are difficult to detect and may silently lead to machine damages since they occur between turns, being named turn-to-turn, or between turn and machine housing, being named turn-to-ground. Thus, these plants must be constantly monitored so that these faults are detected in their initial stage. This early detection makes it possible to reduce maintenance costs while decreasing wind turbine downtime. This work proposes a strategy for noninvasive detecting stator failures in its initial stage through a classifier module that analyzes the stator current patterns. This classifier is based on a Multilayer Perceptron (MLP), that is a class of feedforward artificial neural network (ANN), which was trained using a dataset generated by a mathematical model of the PMSG-based wind turbine. The results show that the MLP classifier is able to detect the proposed problem with 97.62% global accuracy. In addition, detection was performed at a initial stage of 1% to 4% of faulty turns with 100% accuracy, contributing to continuous and noninvasive detection of internal wind turbine stator faults. ; Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior - CAPES ; Os geradores eólicos apresentam interrupções de operação recorrentes devido à ocorrência de falhas internas. Dissertação de Mestrado em Design com a especialização em Design de Produto apresentada na Faculdade de Arquitetura da Universidade de Lisboa para obtenção do grau de Mestre. O turismo vai muito além da atração de turistas para destinos paradisíacos, representando uma contribuição indispensável para o desenvolvimento de um país. O crescimento deste setor torna-o cada vez mais relevante para a economia, pela sua influência em inúmeros ramos que o rodeiam. No entanto, os recursos e a infraestrutura necessária para sustentar esse enorme crescimento do setor levou a um aumento da pressão sobre os recursos naturais, a biodiversidade e as comunidades locais. Num contexto marítimo-turístico (MT) a nível nacional, observa-se um cenário dominado pelo reaproveitamento de embarcações antigas ou originalmente destinadas a outra função sem a mínima adaptação e pela utilização da mesma embarcação para diferentes tipos de programas marítimos. Por outro lado no contexto internacional, os serviços marítimo-turísticos caracterizam-se por uma enorme dependência da sazonalidade, deparando-se com uma ampla variação do nível de procura, dificultada ainda pela variação das condições climáticas ente épocas. Em comum existe uma falta de investimento e inovação na construção ou reconstrução de embarcações com fontes de energias sustentáveis e adequadas ao tipo de atividade específico onde atuam. Os objetivos da investigação procuraram preencher esta lacuna, tanto a nível de adequação da embarcação aos requisitos de cada atividade, como da adaptação às condições impostas pela sazonalidade, considerando, simultaneamente, a inclusão de estratégias sustentáveis no setor. De forma a fazer o enquadramento do tema, analisaram-se os requisitos das atividades disponibilizadas e dos respetivos utilizadores, as necessidades e limitações da embarcação, as possibilidades para a integração da modularidade, bem como as vantagens e desvantagens das fontes de propulsão e materiais possíveis. Numa fase seguinte foram analisados e selecionados os dados mais relevantes para a posterior orientação do projeto, que constitui a etapa seguinte. Nesta investigação foi projetado um modelo que poderá representar, num futuro próximo, um contributo na construção de embarcações turísticas em sistemas modulares. De forma a alcançar tais objetivos, foi aplicada uma metodologia mista, fundamentada em três metodologias de base qualitativa não intervencionista e intervencionista. Esta inicia-se com a crítica da literatura, usada na fase seguinte para formalizar e testar uma hipótese através da investigação ativa, com entrevistas e casos de estudo. De seguida passa-se para a fase intervencionista de cariz projetual com a proposta de um modelo. Aplicando esta metodologia o objetivo será a consolidação da proposta para que o resultado da investigação seja um projeto inovador que responda aos requisitos atuais do mercado. O estudo de uma embarcação turística modular e sustentável pode representar um caminho para uma solução viável e promissora neste setor, sendo a falta de inovação e investimento, a pressão ambiental e a forte sazonalidade três problemáticas tão atuais e próximas da área de investigação. ABSTRACT: Tourism goes far beyond attracting tourists to paradisiacal destinations, representing an indispensable contribution to the development of a country. The growth of this sector makes it increasingly relevant to the economy, due to its influence in numerous branches that surround it. However, the resources and infrastructure needed to sustain this huge growth in the sector has led to increased pressure on natural resources, biodiversity and local communities. In a maritime-tourist context (MT) at national level, there is a scenario dominated by the reuse of old vessels or originally intended for another function without the slightest adaptation and by the use of the same vessel for different types of maritime programs. On the other hand, in the international context, maritime-touristic services are characterized by an enormous dependence on seasonality, facing a wide variation in the level of demand, further hampered by the variation of climatic conditions between seasons. In common, there is a lack of investment and innovation in the construction or reconstruction of vessels with sustainable energy sources and appropriate to the specific type of activity in which they operate. The research objectives sought to fill this gap, both in terms of adapting the vessel to the requirements of each activity, as well as adapting to the conditions imposed by seasonality, while considering the inclusion of sustainable strategies in the sector. In order to frame the theme, the requirements of the activities provided and the respective users were analyzed, the needs and limitations of the vessel, the possibilities for integrating modularity, as well as the advantages and disadvantages of the propulsion sources and possible materials . In a next phase, the most relevant data were analyzed and selected for the later orientation of the project, which constitutes the next stage. In this investigation, a model was designed that could represent, in the near future, a contribution in the construction of tourist boats in modular systems. In order to achieve these objectives, a mixed methodology was applied, based on three non-interventionist and interventional qualitative methodologies. This begins with the criticism of the literature, used in the next phase to formalize and test a hypothesis through active investigation, with interviews and case studies. Then we move on to the interventionist phase of a design nature with the proposal of a model. Applying this methodology the objective will be the consolidation of the proposal so that the result of the investigation is an innovative project that responds to the current requirements of the market. The study of a modular and sustainable tourist vessel can represent a path to a viable and promising solution in this sector, with the lack of innovation and investment, environmental pressure and strong seasonality being three issues so current and close to the research area.

    Authors: Monteiro, Valter Jorge Lopes;

Companies wishing to innovate and compete can establish partnerships with their foreign counterparts using this network. Bust they also need instruments that allow them to assess their performance. The growing concerns with Sustainable Development have led to the progressive re-alignment of business activities taking into account environmental and social aspects and not just those traditionally used in assessing the performance of companies, essentially economic and technical. This led to the need of updating the Value Analysis methodology, integrating the components of Sustainability in the definition of Sustainable Value.

This text seeks to bring references to issues involving the use of biological resources, biodiversity, and its economic use, bioeconomy, and suggests a reflection: if the partnership is legitimate, what would be the suitable model?

; Photovoltaic energy has been gaining more and more space in the Brazilian energy matrix.
