The objective of this study was to evaluate the methodology of intervention of a project that it promotes the sustainable development of rural communities for the conservation of the watersheds. This evaluation one carries out through a case study in the microcuenca of the river Colorado in the Serrania of the Turimiquire in the Northeast Venezuelan. Equally you looks for to know which have been the impacts generated by the project that promotes PetroleuMON of Venezuela (PDVSA) through their filial Palmaven, in strategic basins at national level, which have been identified by Ministry of the Atmosphere and of the Natural Resources (MARN) as high-priority of attention and for PDVSA/Palmaven to be sources of supply of water, for important areas where the oil activity is developed. The evaluation of the integral focus and the methodological of intervention in projects of integrated handling of watersheds, allowed to validate this experience and it not constituted alone a contribution to improve and to strengthen the projects that are implemented in 17 watersheds of the country, but rather she/he will be able to be used as reference when beginning new projects in basins at national level. This work aims to analyse the "securitisation movement" of the climate change in the international system, taking the European Union as a securitising actor. From Buzan's, Waever's and Wilde's discussions, one shall understand the process of threat construction in the environmental field. The definitions and criteria established by the European Union as a securitising actor are taken as starting point, when climate changes were annouced as an existing threat to the international security at a Security Council's meeting held in 2007. The impacts of the securitising speech acts amongst the present states, here undertood as the audience, will also be taken into account. The main method chosen to guide this work was the speech analysis, having as the main source the official documents and government authorities statements disclosed both by the Security Council and the European Union.

The upper sub-watershed number two Pikin Guerrero is located on the Pacific slope of Region II of Nicaragua, covers an area of 5,501,520 ha and is part of the action area of the Pikin Guerrero Project (IUCN). Land use has tended to replace natural forest with subsistence agriculture. Villagers exploit the forest reserve for firewood, timber for construction, and slash and burn for agriculture. This has generated an overuse of 16 percent of the area, necessitating a change in land use, while the rest of the area can maintain its use, but only with appropriate alternatives for soil, water and forest conservation. The objective of this work is to propose a simplified methodology adapted to the socio-economic conditions of Region II of Nicaragua, which allows establishing capacity and appropriate land use, by means of key factors (slope, depth and current use). This methodology detects areas in overuse based on land use capacity and determines for them appropriate conservation technologies at the farm level. These recommendations are based on the Rapid Rural Appraisal (RRA), confirmed by a survey that allows clustering farms into groups, based on traditional production systems. The presence of volcanic soils with sandy loam texture on slopes greater than 15 percent, where agriculture is based on the exploitation of basic grains (beans, corn, rice) and traditional production technology is not the most appropriate, since it denotes a gradual increase in the areas of overuse for the future. To determine the accuracy of the methodology, the ERDAS computerized system was used in its DIG-POL and GIS module, making comparisons with the reality of the field and also with the USDA methodology (1979). With the application of socio-economic sampling, groups of farms (clusters) were established to diagnose the problems and establish recommendations for a sustainable exploitation of land resources at the farm level. The contingency results between the capacity and general indicative use maps of the selected methodology (Sharma, 1990 to 1991) with respect to the USDA capacity map (1979) show a 31 percent and 25 percent similarity, while both maps of the proposed classification compared with the results of the field sampling indicate an accuracy of 86 percent (capacity map) and 74 percent (general indicative use map). The USDA classification map with respect to reality in both cases is only 31 percent similar. As a result, the method adapted by Sharma (1990 to 1991) for Region II of Nicaragua is more realistic for determining capacity and appropriate land use. Socio-economic statistical analyses resulting from the research indicate that the land use to capacity adoptability indices (INDX1) and the simple and special alternatives (INDX2) generated based on the USDA classification for Region II do not exceed 15 percent, i.e., they were not adopted at the farm level. While the acceptability indexes for agroforestry systems (AFS) generated within the proposed methodology range from 50 percent to 88 percent, presenting a great acceptance especially because of the need for the resource and because it is a traditional component of the farm system. It is concluded that the proposed methodology is simple and appropriate to establish capacity and sustainable land use, by using updated bio-physical information that shows an approach to reality. Being applicable at the farm level by proposing a Rapid Rural Appraisal (RRA) results that are confirmed with a statistical survey and establishing farm models, on which the problems are diagnosed and the conservation alternatives that implicitly carry the decision of the farmers of the area in conflict. In the Boyacá Province is well known the presence of coal bed gas due to the frequent explosion, as a result of those accidents and to the need of having a better knowledge of this non-conventional resource, the coal bed gas information was gathered and analyzed from three areas. For sample taking and information analysis, the USBM method was followed. The average contents in the Checua-Lenguazaque areas are between 2 and 88 scf/ton, in the Tunja-Paipa-Duitama area are found between 2-65 scf/ton, and in the Sogamoso-Jerico area the content are found between 1-275 scf/ton. The higher contents are found in the northern part of the Sogamoso-Socotá Area (Tasco-Socotá) at depths exceeding 300 m. The content variability and the low reserves of about 27 Giga scf per area, induce to increase the reserves and increase the understanding of the gas contents; for that, it is recommended to drill additional wells to better assess the content at different depths and on large structures, especially synclines.

The aim of this work was to evaluate the effect of solar radiation and temperature on the sugar melon fruit using the photothermal quotient. Outdoor experiments were conducted in three successive years, using the hybrid cultivar 'HD Nº1'. The experiments were conducted at four sites in the central region of Argentina: Concordia, Esperanza, Media Agua and Colonia Fiscal. At the time of harvest were measured Total Soluble Solid (TSS) of fruits. The photothermal quotient (PQ) was calculated through the relationship between the average incident radiation (MJ m-2 d-1) and the average daily temperature (°C) at which base temperature was subtracted. The relationship obtained between TSS (%) and the PQ (MJ m-2 d-1 °C-1) was lineal positive. The slope of the line allowed deduce that for every unit increase in the PQ represented an increase of just over 4.0% of TSS. Moreover, this model explains 63% of the variability in the TSS due to the effect of PQ. Finally, to increase the TTS the importance of the results is discussed, for guiding the crop establishment so that fruits development coincides with the period of greatest value PQ.

To estimate cloudiness, terrestrial observations were compared with satellite imagines. Semi-empirical formula were developed to calculate cloudiness as a function of solar radiation and satellite albedo. These results were obtained to improve the ocean-atmosphere forecast system (Anduckia & Lonin, 2014) through the elimination of an error up to 20% in the calculations of incident solar radiation in traditional parameterizations widely employed in some numerical models.
