    The side-effect of sand mining was disappearing of biomass which caused of land degradation. A study has been carried out to obtain the model legume association with superior grass plants that are adaptive to repair post-mining land on dry land. This research was desgined in association patern between grasses and legumes with manure application, using 8 combination of grasses herbaceous and tree legumse with 3 replications. This research was conducted at Sebudi village, Karangasem district. Panicum maximum var. Trichoglum, Paspalum atratum, Centrocema pubescens, and Clitoria ternatea were used for grasses and legumes respectively. Observed variables were quality and forage production. The results of this research showed that almost all association can be implemented at dryland, and association patern between Panicum and Paspalum with Clitoria gave extra biomass. This association also showed great potential to improve land quality. The quality and production of grasses were greatly influenced by the association of legumes. Panicum and Paspalum associated with both Clitoria or Centrocema gave highest yield. Various of manure showed a non significant difference on quality and production of grass associated with tree legumes, although it tend to increase both of growth and production of grasses.

    One of potential vegetable materials in Indonesia as a source of biodiesel is kemiri sunan (Reutealis trisperma (Blanco) Airy Shaw). This study aims to analyze: financial feasibility of plantation; financial feasibility of biodiesel processing, and the development of business unit. The research results show that kemiri sunan plantation is feasible on the area of 60 ha, a business period of 50 years. Feasibility values without loan are: NPV IDR 1,101,007,645; IRR 13.52%; BCR 1.36; PBP 14.68 years, feasibility values with loan are: NPV IDR 160,351,357; IRR 13.52%; BCR 1.08; PBP 22.55 years, sensitive to the decrease of selling price of dry seeds and productivity of the trees. The biodiesel processing business is feasible at the business period of 15 years, the production capacity of 202.75 Kl/year. Feasibility values without loan are: NPVIDR 512,549,740; IRR 27.27%; BCR 1.04; PBP 4.32 years, feasibility values with loan are: NPV IDR 303,310,940; IRR 27.27%; BCR 1.03; PBP 4.94 years, sensitive to the rising costs of materials and a decrease in the selling price. If all available lands were cultivated, it will generate 2,365 business units and to produce biodiesel that meets 16.68% of the needs of West Java diesel oil.

    Land use with agroforestry system has ecological, economic and social advantages, so that the sustainability of agroforestry should be maintained. This study aims to determine the state of sustainability and the key factors ffecting sustainability of agroforestry. The research conducted in Rancah District, Ciamis from April to December 2013. Data is analyzed using RAP-AFS ordinated Regency and prospective analysis. The results showed that some of ecological, economic and social problems potentially threatening the sustainability of agroforestry. Agroforestry in Rancah is less sustainable with sustainability index value of 25.01-50.00 i.e. ecological, economic, social and multidimensional indexes are 32.26, 42.26, 48.59 and 46.20, respectively. The key factors that must be considered for the sustainability of agroforestry are: extension role, the availability of agroforestry technology package, government role and farmer groups existence. Therefore, it is recommended national and regional goverments prioritize the management of the key factors in policy that development of sustainable agroforestry

    The first use of microalgae by humans as food detected in the dates back 2000 years, but the development ofbiotechnology of microalgae just began in the middle of this century. Microalgae refer to biomass resourcecontain many useful components such as protein, carbohydrate, fatty acid, etc. Products based microalgae arediverse from human food and nutrition, animal feed and nutrition up to fine chemicals such as triglycerideswhich is able to be converted to biodiesel. Microalgae is a promising biomass resources, (i) microalgae isrenewable resources which has high biodiversity properties, (ii) production cost of converting process frommicroalgae biomass into its derivatives relatively low, (iii) product derivatives of microalgae have a highdemand in market. Based on above, microalgae can be developed further to be applied as raw material for food,energy and pharmacy. This paper described microalgae in general and the developing technology used toproduce commercial microalgae based product.

    The purpose of this study is to analyze conversion of waste into biogas cattle against the income of the people in Karo and Deli Serdang. This study use primary data through questionnaires and interviews to people who are or have been managing the biogas from cattle waster in Karo and Deli Serdang. The analytical methods used in this study are descriptive statistics and multiple linier regression. The resuld showed that the time use of biogas, the price of cow manure and the number of dependents simultaneously positive and significant impact on people’s income. The time use of biogas is partially not significant positive effect on people’s income and the price of cow manure partially not significant positive effect on people’s income and the number of dependents partially positive effect is not significant to people’s income 100501159

    Terjadinya Perubahan iklim pada saat ini telah mengkibatkan dampak buruk terhadap kehidupan makhluk hidup di permukaan bumi. Kekeringan, banjir atau rob, gelombang udara panas, dan badai merupakan beberapa contoh yang disebabkan oleh Perubahan iklim. Pada sektor pertanian, kondisi tersebut akan menyebabkan produksi tanaman mengalami penurunan yang cukup signifikan sehingga mengganggu ketahanan pangan nasional dan menurunkan pendapatan petani dan devisa negara. Penyebab utama terjadinya Perubahan iklim adalah meningkatnya emisi gas rumah kaca (terutama gas CO2) di udara, yang dihasilkan oleh aktivitas manusia (antropogenik). Untuk mengurangi emisi gas CO2 Pemerintah Republik Indonesia telah mencanangkan Rencana Aksi Nasional Penurunan Emisi Gas Rumah Kaca (RAN-GRK) sesuai Peraturan Presiden Nomor 61 tahun 2011. Salah satu kegiatan utamanya adalah penanaman 105.200 ha tanaman karet. Peran ekologis tanaman karet yaitu tajuknya dapat menyerap gas CO2 dari udara dan dari hasil biji karet dapat dibuat biodiesel dengan gas buang CO2 yang lebih rendah dari bahan bakar minyak (solar), sehingga tanaman karet mempunyai peran yang penting dalam mengurangi kejadian Perubahan iklim (mitigasi). Jumlah CO2 yang diserap oleh tanaman karet bervariasi tergantung kepada umur tanaman, kondisi tanaman, kesuburan tanah, dan teknis budidaya yang diterapkan. Rata-rata stok karbon pada karet tradional (perkebunan rakyat) 19,8 ton C/ha, sedangkan pada karet klon unggul (perkebunan besar) 42,4 ton C/ha. Jumlah gas CO2 yang diserap oleh perkebunan karet di Indonesia mencapai 291,16 Mton CO2e. Potensi produksi biodiesel dari RSO di Indonesia mencapai 424.460 ton. Campuran solar dan biodiesel dari RSO dapat menurunkan emisi gas buang CO2 sebesar 40,14%. Role of rubber plant in climate change mitigation Climate change happened and resulted in adverse effect of our life on the earth's surface. Droughts, floods, or rob, heatwaves, and hurricanes happened recently of incident that might be caused by climate change. In the agricultural sector, these conditions will lead to reduction of yields significantly, in turn disrupt the national food security and reduce foreign exchange. Major factor that may induce climate change is the increased greenhouse gas emissions primarily CO2 in air, generated by human activity (anthropogenic). To reduce emissions of CO2 gas, Government of Indonesia has launched the National Action Plan for Reducing Emissions of Greenhouse Gases (RAN-GRK) through Presidential Decree No. 61 of 2011. One of the main activity is the planting of 105,200 ha of rubber trees. Ecological role of the rubber plant is an sequestration CO2 from the air. Moreover, rubber yielded may be converted into biodiesel fuel having CO2 content being lower than diesel oil in otherwords, rubber plant has an important role in reducing of incidences of climate change (mitigation). The amount of CO2 is sequestrated by rubber plant varies depending on the age of the plant, crop conditions, soil fertility and technical cultivation applied. Average of carbon stock of those rubber plants cultivated traditionally was 19.8 ton C / ha, while those superior clone ones was 42.4 ton C/ha. The amount of CO2 gas sequestrated by rubber in Indonesia reached of 291.16 Mton CO2e. Potentially biodiesel production developed from the RSO in Indonesia reached 424,460 ton, blending of diesel oil and biodiesel from RSO able to reduce CO2 emissions of 40.14%.

    The use of manure and litter as bio gas-producing material is one solving problem of sanitation and environmental health as well as the control of environmental pollution, especially in the vicinity of the farm and the market environment. To obtain biogas productivity and optimum quality then conducted a study with the aim to determine the effect of a composition ratio mix of fish maw, kale and feces of pigs against pH, productivity in this case, the gas pressure (Pa), gas mass (kg) and the volume of gas (m3), as well as the quality of the biogas as measured by the amount of calorific value (J), and power (watts), and the color of the flame produced. The results showed that the composition ratio of a mixture of 1: 1: 1 has the most stable pH with the average of 7. The gas pressure, gas mass and the volume of gas produced by the mixture composition ratio of 1: 1: 1 is larger than the composition ratio of a mixture of 2 : 1: 1, 1: 2: 1 and 1: 1: 2 with 3851.4 Pa gas pressure, gas mass kg 0.011568938 and 0.145424439 gas volume m3 calorific value of 19.680 kJ and 177.142 watts of power, as well as the color of the flame, produced that is blue. It can be concluded that the mixture composition ratio of 1: 1: 1 is the productivity and quality of the most optimal.

    Banana peel (musa sapientum) is organic waste that have value of carbohydrates that high and nutrition that can help the growth of a microbe. Based on it, then appears an idea to make use of the bioethanol from the peel as a source of raw materials. Bioethanol is one alternative energy that are spoken currently who is expected to replace energy source of petroleum that has existed that is the fluid a result fermentation of sugar from sources of carbohydrate used the aid microorganisms. In this research process of waste the banana peel become bioethanol is aimed to determine the process of waste the banana peel plantain and kepok, ranging from process of smoothing the hydrolysis of, fermentation until distillation of which are then analyzed levels of each bioetanol each kind of the banana peel based on the number of yeast and time. In this process of fermentation by the addition of saccharomyces cerevisiae by number of yeast, as many as 3 5, 7 gram with long fermentation different namely during 2, 4, 6, 8 days influencing the outcome of the level of bioethanol on the type of skin of plantain and kepok. This result of research produce levels of bioethanol the most high that is on the type of kepok banana peel with yeast fermentation as many as seven gram during the time of 8 days worth 17.05 % while on the peel of plantain with heavy yeast and the same time having bioetanol levels as many as 16.55 %. The longer fermentation, microorganisms more active and the extension of yeast the result of ethanol is increasing contained in a sample of the banana peel with heavy yeast 3, 5 grams, 7 gram levels of ethanol more robust on the day to 8.

    Plant growth interpretation in term of accumulated intercepted solar radiation and the radiation use efficiency (RUE) was used to study the growth and analysis of Jatropha (Jatropha curcas L.). A number of crop growth simulation models have been developed using the RUE concept to predict crop growth and yield in various environments. These models generally calculate daily biomass production as the product of the quantity of radiation intercepted and RUE. This research was carried out to quantify the RUE, biomass and leaf area index on Jatropha under rainfall condition, four levels of nitrogen fertilizer (N) and three population densities (P) planted twice. The experiments used a systematic Nelder fan design with 9 spokes and 4 – 5 rings were conducted at SEAMEO-BIOTROP field experiment in 2007. Data from the first experiment were used for parameterization and calibration and the second experiment data for model validation. Values of RUE were determined by nitrogen fertilizer and plant density. Based on parameterization, we found that RUE for prediction above ground biomass accumulation of Jatropha were 0.94 (r=0.83) g MJ-1 to 1.3 (r=0.75) g MJ-1. Validation between model prediction and field experimental data showed that model can simulate crop growth and development of Jatropha.

    The process of exhausting long melon cultivation is one of the rarity factor farmers grow the The long and exhausting process in melon cultivation is one of factor the farmer rarity to grow up the fruit. The liquid fertilization is done once per 2/3 days. And the spraying can reach up to 23 time until the harvesting. Not maximum liquid fertilization will take longer time and more draining. Thats way, it needs a technology which can solve both these problems in one tool. This tool is called eco splash tank. This tank can also used in remote area without electricity because it is equipped by solar panels for energy source. the one wheel using for design makes the eco splash tank has capacity 30 L and strong. The result for a single full charge can be turned on and pump for 8 hrs. and the charging time for solar panels to accu until full is 9,5 hrs. in a pilot watering can be done up to 30 plants/minute and spray up to 27 plants/minute. It increases from 20 plants/minute(watering) and 17 plants/minute (spraying). In addition the functional benefits are felt by farmers. Because they don't need to hold, pump, and by the fuel. furthermore the design of eco splash tank will be developped for agricultural crops and then RAMP Technopreneurship, patent, and a list of 107 Innovation.

    The side-effect of sand mining was disappearing of biomass which caused of land degradation. A study has been carried out to obtain the model legume association with superior grass plants that are adaptive to repair post-mining land on dry land. This research was desgined in association patern between grasses and legumes with manure application, using 8 combination of grasses herbaceous and tree legumse with 3 replications. This research was conducted at Sebudi village, Karangasem district. Panicum maximum var. Trichoglum, Paspalum atratum, Centrocema pubescens, and Clitoria ternatea were used for grasses and legumes respectively. Observed variables were quality and forage production. The results of this research showed that almost all association can be implemented at dryland, and association patern between Panicum and Paspalum with Clitoria gave extra biomass. This association also showed great potential to improve land quality. The quality and production of grasses were greatly influenced by the association of legumes. Panicum and Paspalum associated with both Clitoria or Centrocema gave highest yield. Various of manure showed a non significant difference on quality and production of grass associated with tree legumes, although it tend to increase both of growth and production of grasses.

    One of potential vegetable materials in Indonesia as a source of biodiesel is kemiri sunan (Reutealis trisperma (Blanco) Airy Shaw). This study aims to analyze: financial feasibility of plantation; financial feasibility of biodiesel processing, and the development of business unit. The research results show that kemiri sunan plantation is feasible on the area of 60 ha, a business period of 50 years. Feasibility values without loan are: NPV IDR 1,101,007,645; IRR 13.52%; BCR 1.36; PBP 14.68 years, feasibility values with loan are: NPV IDR 160,351,357; IRR 13.52%; BCR 1.08; PBP 22.55 years, sensitive to the decrease of selling price of dry seeds and productivity of the trees. The biodiesel processing business is feasible at the business period of 15 years, the production capacity of 202.75 Kl/year. Feasibility values without loan are: NPVIDR 512,549,740; IRR 27.27%; BCR 1.04; PBP 4.32 years, feasibility values with loan are: NPV IDR 303,310,940; IRR 27.27%; BCR 1.03; PBP 4.94 years, sensitive to the rising costs of materials and a decrease in the selling price. If all available lands were cultivated, it will generate 2,365 business units and to produce biodiesel that meets 16.68% of the needs of West Java diesel oil.

    Land use with agroforestry system has ecological, economic and social advantages, so that the sustainability of agroforestry should be maintained. This study aims to determine the state of sustainability and the key factors ffecting sustainability of agroforestry. The research conducted in Rancah District, Ciamis from April to December 2013. Data is analyzed using RAP-AFS ordinated Regency and prospective analysis. The results showed that some of ecological, economic and social problems potentially threatening the sustainability of agroforestry. Agroforestry in Rancah is less sustainable with sustainability index value of 25.01-50.00 i.e. ecological, economic, social and multidimensional indexes are 32.26, 42.26, 48.59 and 46.20, respectively. The key factors that must be considered for the sustainability of agroforestry are: extension role, the availability of agroforestry technology package, government role and farmer groups existence. Therefore, it is recommended national and regional goverments prioritize the management of the key factors in policy that development of sustainable agroforestry

    The first use of microalgae by humans as food detected in the dates back 2000 years, but the development ofbiotechnology of microalgae just began in the middle of this century. Microalgae refer to biomass resourcecontain many useful components such as protein, carbohydrate, fatty acid, etc. Products based microalgae arediverse from human food and nutrition, animal feed and nutrition up to fine chemicals such as triglycerideswhich is able to be converted to biodiesel. Microalgae is a promising biomass resources, (i) microalgae isrenewable resources which has high biodiversity properties, (ii) production cost of converting process frommicroalgae biomass into its derivatives relatively low, (iii) product derivatives of microalgae have a highdemand in market. Based on above, microalgae can be developed further to be applied as raw material for food,energy and pharmacy. This paper described microalgae in general and the developing technology used toproduce commercial microalgae based product.

    The purpose of this study is to analyze conversion of waste into biogas cattle against the income of the people in Karo and Deli Serdang. This study use primary data through questionnaires and interviews to people who are or have been managing the biogas from cattle waster in Karo and Deli Serdang. The analytical methods used in this study are descriptive statistics and multiple linier regression. The resuld showed that the time use of biogas, the price of cow manure and the number of dependents simultaneously positive and significant impact on people’s income. The time use of biogas is partially not significant positive effect on people’s income and the price of cow manure partially not significant positive effect on people’s income and the number of dependents partially positive effect is not significant to people’s income 100501159

    Terjadinya Perubahan iklim pada saat ini telah mengkibatkan dampak buruk terhadap kehidupan makhluk hidup di permukaan bumi. Kekeringan, banjir atau rob, gelombang udara panas, dan badai merupakan beberapa contoh yang disebabkan oleh Perubahan iklim. Pada sektor pertanian, kondisi tersebut akan menyebabkan produksi tanaman mengalami penurunan yang cukup signifikan sehingga mengganggu ketahanan pangan nasional dan menurunkan pendapatan petani dan devisa negara. Penyebab utama terjadinya Perubahan iklim adalah meningkatnya emisi gas rumah kaca (terutama gas CO2) di udara, yang dihasilkan oleh aktivitas manusia (antropogenik). Untuk mengurangi emisi gas CO2 Pemerintah Republik Indonesia telah mencanangkan Rencana Aksi Nasional Penurunan Emisi Gas Rumah Kaca (RAN-GRK) sesuai Peraturan Presiden Nomor 61 tahun 2011. Salah satu kegiatan utamanya adalah penanaman 105.200 ha tanaman karet. Peran ekologis tanaman karet yaitu tajuknya dapat menyerap gas CO2 dari udara dan dari hasil biji karet dapat dibuat biodiesel dengan gas buang CO2 yang lebih rendah dari bahan bakar minyak (solar), sehingga tanaman karet mempunyai peran yang penting dalam mengurangi kejadian Perubahan iklim (mitigasi). Jumlah CO2 yang diserap oleh tanaman karet bervariasi tergantung kepada umur tanaman, kondisi tanaman, kesuburan tanah, dan teknis budidaya yang diterapkan. Rata-rata stok karbon pada karet tradional (perkebunan rakyat) 19,8 ton C/ha, sedangkan pada karet klon unggul (perkebunan besar) 42,4 ton C/ha. Jumlah gas CO2 yang diserap oleh perkebunan karet di Indonesia mencapai 291,16 Mton CO2e. Potensi produksi biodiesel dari RSO di Indonesia mencapai 424.460 ton. Campuran solar dan biodiesel dari RSO dapat menurunkan emisi gas buang CO2 sebesar 40,14%. Role of rubber plant in climate change mitigation Climate change happened and resulted in adverse effect of our life on the earth's surface. Droughts, floods, or rob, heatwaves, and hurricanes happened recently of incident that might be caused by climate change. In the agricultural sector, these conditions will lead to reduction of yields significantly, in turn disrupt the national food security and reduce foreign exchange. Major factor that may induce climate change is the increased greenhouse gas emissions primarily CO2 in air, generated by human activity (anthropogenic). To reduce emissions of CO2 gas, Government of Indonesia has launched the National Action Plan for Reducing Emissions of Greenhouse Gases (RAN-GRK) through Presidential Decree No. 61 of 2011. One of the main activity is the planting of 105,200 ha of rubber trees. Ecological role of the rubber plant is an sequestration CO2 from the air. Moreover, rubber yielded may be converted into biodiesel fuel having CO2 content being lower than diesel oil in otherwords, rubber plant has an important role in reducing of incidences of climate change (mitigation). The amount of CO2 is sequestrated by rubber plant varies depending on the age of the plant, crop conditions, soil fertility and technical cultivation applied. Average of carbon stock of those rubber plants cultivated traditionally was 19.8 ton C / ha, while those superior clone ones was 42.4 ton C/ha. The amount of CO2 gas sequestrated by rubber in Indonesia reached of 291.16 Mton CO2e. Potentially biodiesel production developed from the RSO in Indonesia reached 424,460 ton, blending of diesel oil and biodiesel from RSO able to reduce CO2 emissions of 40.14%.

    The use of manure and litter as bio gas-producing material is one solving problem of sanitation and environmental health as well as the control of environmental pollution, especially in the vicinity of the farm and the market environment. To obtain biogas productivity and optimum quality then conducted a study with the aim to determine the effect of a composition ratio mix of fish maw, kale and feces of pigs against pH, productivity in this case, the gas pressure (Pa), gas mass (kg) and the volume of gas (m3), as well as the quality of the biogas as measured by the amount of calorific value (J), and power (watts), and the color of the flame produced. The results showed that the composition ratio of a mixture of 1: 1: 1 has the most stable pH with the average of 7. The gas pressure, gas mass and the volume of gas produced by the mixture composition ratio of 1: 1: 1 is larger than the composition ratio of a mixture of 2 : 1: 1, 1: 2: 1 and 1: 1: 2 with 3851.4 Pa gas pressure, gas mass kg 0.011568938 and 0.145424439 gas volume m3 calorific value of 19.680 kJ and 177.142 watts of power, as well as the color of the flame, produced that is blue. It can be concluded that the mixture composition ratio of 1: 1: 1 is the productivity and quality of the most optimal.

    Banana peel (musa sapientum) is organic waste that have value of carbohydrates that high and nutrition that can help the growth of a microbe. Based on it, then appears an idea to make use of the bioethanol from the peel as a source of raw materials. Bioethanol is one alternative energy that are spoken currently who is expected to replace energy source of petroleum that has existed that is the fluid a result fermentation of sugar from sources of carbohydrate used the aid microorganisms. In this research process of waste the banana peel become bioethanol is aimed to determine the process of waste the banana peel plantain and kepok, ranging from process of smoothing the hydrolysis of, fermentation until distillation of which are then analyzed levels of each bioetanol each kind of the banana peel based on the number of yeast and time. In this process of fermentation by the addition of saccharomyces cerevisiae by number of yeast, as many as 3 5, 7 gram with long fermentation different namely during 2, 4, 6, 8 days influencing the outcome of the level of bioethanol on the type of skin of plantain and kepok. This result of research produce levels of bioethanol the most high that is on the type of kepok banana peel with yeast fermentation as many as seven gram during the time of 8 days worth 17.05 % while on the peel of plantain with heavy yeast and the same time having bioetanol levels as many as 16.55 %. The longer fermentation, microorganisms more active and the extension of yeast the result of ethanol is increasing contained in a sample of the banana peel with heavy yeast 3, 5 grams, 7 gram levels of ethanol more robust on the day to 8.

    Plant growth interpretation in term of accumulated intercepted solar radiation and the radiation use efficiency (RUE) was used to study the growth and analysis of Jatropha (Jatropha curcas L.). A number of crop growth simulation models have been developed using the RUE concept to predict crop growth and yield in various environments. These models generally calculate daily biomass production as the product of the quantity of radiation intercepted and RUE. This research was carried out to quantify the RUE, biomass and leaf area index on Jatropha under rainfall condition, four levels of nitrogen fertilizer (N) and three population densities (P) planted twice. The experiments used a systematic Nelder fan design with 9 spokes and 4 – 5 rings were conducted at SEAMEO-BIOTROP field experiment in 2007. Data from the first experiment were used for parameterization and calibration and the second experiment data for model validation. Values of RUE were determined by nitrogen fertilizer and plant density. Based on parameterization, we found that RUE for prediction above ground biomass accumulation of Jatropha were 0.94 (r=0.83) g MJ-1 to 1.3 (r=0.75) g MJ-1. Validation between model prediction and field experimental data showed that model can simulate crop growth and development of Jatropha.

    The process of exhausting long melon cultivation is one of the rarity factor farmers grow the The long and exhausting process in melon cultivation is one of factor the farmer rarity to grow up the fruit. The liquid fertilization is done once per 2/3 days. And the spraying can reach up to 23 time until the harvesting. Not maximum liquid fertilization will take longer time and more draining. Thats way, it needs a technology which can solve both these problems in one tool. This tool is called eco splash tank. This tank can also used in remote area without electricity because it is equipped by solar panels for energy source. the one wheel using for design makes the eco splash tank has capacity 30 L and strong. The result for a single full charge can be turned on and pump for 8 hrs. and the charging time for solar panels to accu until full is 9,5 hrs. in a pilot watering can be done up to 30 plants/minute and spray up to 27 plants/minute. It increases from 20 plants/minute(watering) and 17 plants/minute (spraying). In addition the functional benefits are felt by farmers. Because they don't need to hold, pump, and by the fuel. furthermore the design of eco splash tank will be developped for agricultural crops and then RAMP Technopreneurship, patent, and a list of 107 Innovation.
