This Bachelor thesis examines human resources and human resource management in tourism and the hotel industry. It serves the depiction of several possible human resource management models and aspects that are conducive for well-functioning human resource management in tourism. The importance of human capital and its impact on the company's success should be emphasized by this work. The aim is to offer opportunities for companies, to better market jobs in tourism and to build up a good relationship between employer and employee. Since Human Resource Management is a very broad topic and requires many measures, only a few are taken out in this Bachelor thesis, which are described in more detail. Furthermore, human resource models are explained and two models are discussed in more detail. The results and the quality of the literature are summarized and critically examined in the discussion.

The focus of this master’s thesis is on climate change education, comparing selected learning settings for secondary school level I. To begin with, the climate change education as well as education for mitigation and education for adaptation are discussed in detail. Subsequently, it delves into climate change competence through the bicycle model by Tolppanen, Cantell, Aarnio-Linnanvuori and Lehtonen (2017). The aim is to illustrate what is crucial for classroom instruction to ensure students understanding for climate change including causes, effects, and consequences sustainably. Following this, three selected learning settings (research-based learning, extracurricular learning, and serious games) are examined in terms of three dissimilar categories (climate change literacy, social competence, and interest). The research section focuses on knowledge changes in the pre- and post-test, as well as knowledge changes after the implementation of the “Serious Games 4 Energy Transition”. The thesis concludes with a summary and an outlook.
