Modern infrastructure projects require the analysis and selection of the best solution from several alternatives which are a valid solution to the problem posed. To carry out this process from a sustainable point of view, it is first of all essential to consider all the sustainability requirements that may be relevant in the project, in order to develop all the feasible alternatives that comply with these requirements. At the same time, it is crucial to determine the relative importance of the selection criteria and to assess this relative importance considering the weighting of criteria. On the other hand, the selection of alternatives usually takes place in an environment of uncertainty, which increases the complexity of the decisions to be taken. Multicriteria decision methods are tools that help in the process of selecting alternatives by providing a systematic decision-making process. The use of these methods reduces the subjectivity of the decision-maker and allows each alternative to be evaluated quantitatively, according to the set of selection criteria. However, multicriteria decision methods have certain limitations and drawbacks, among which it should be noted that most of them do not consider specifically the correlation between the variables considered in the process. For this reason, all multi-criteria decision methods are studied in a specific chapter, stating their advantages, disadvantages and main applications. This research starts by identifying the sustainability criteria involved in the process of selecting alternatives, and then continues with the study, application and development of a decision methodology based on the determination of proximity (shortest distance) to the socalled "ideal solution", understood as a fictitious solution which performs best for each decision criterion. The aim is to determine the alternative whose mathematical distance to the ideal solution is the smallest possible, and to obtain a ranking of alternatives according to this distance, ordered from the shortest to the longest distance to the ideal solution. To consider the correlation between variables- in the process, a decision methodology is proposed based on the concept of distance to the "ideal solution", measured through the Mahalanobis distance, which has the particularity that, in addition to considering the correlation between variables, it is invariant to scale. Thus, the proposed methodology consists of a modification of the VIKOR multi-criteria decision method by applying the Mahalanobis distance to calculate the values of S or R variables of the traditional VIKOR method. Any methodology based on a multicriteria decision method must be verified using both a robustness and a sensitivity analysis, in which the former will determine the validity of the model so that the optimal solution is indeed optimal among a given set of solutions. The latter sensitivity analysis aims to study and discover the degree of sensitivity of the optimal solution to changes in the essential factors or criteria. To analyze the stability of the solutions provided by the methodology developed, a sensitivity analysis is carried out, consisting of modifying the initial weighting of the selection criteria and determining the number of changes that occur in the ranking of alternatives and, in this way, determining the criterion with the highest relative sensitivity coefficient. Finally, the original proposed methodology is applied to the selection of alternatives for two different infrastructure types. First, to the selection of best alternative for retaining wall typologies in linear infrastructures, due to the considerable environmental impact they have on the surroundings, both visually and as a barrier. Second, to the selection of the optimal location of park and ride infrastructures, as they are a key infrastructure in urban mobility plans and in the establishment of traffic restriction measures in city centers of large metropolitan areas, when seeking to reduce pollutant gas emissions. Industrial aquaculture has grown rapidly due to the increase in world demand for fish and shellfish, which has stimulated the development of aquaculture systems for the cultivation of marine species. The need to maintain high levels of productivity makes them complex unstable systems, prone to disturbances with the potential risk of causing problems of contamination of the natural environment. In intensive aquaculture operations, it is estimated that in the transformation processes for the development and growth of biomass, approximately 75% of the feed is released in the form of nitrogen and phosphorus. During the last decades, efforts have been made to develop processes for the elimination of these nutrients-pollutants, which would otherwise be released into natural water bodies causing eutrophication. The recirculating aquaculture system (RAS) is the conventional culture system; it includes a nutrient removal stage with biofilters of aerobic bacteria that favor the nitrification process, although the biofilter technology has operational difficulties such as the decrease in oxygen concentration, accumulation of organic matter and difficulty of back-rinsing, among others. Thus, options have emerged based on the activity of photoautotrophic organisms, taking advantage of the ability of aquatic plants, macro and microalgae, to effectively eliminate nutrients-pollutants (phytodepuration), consuming in addition to carbon and nitrogen, also phosphorus, the latter without the ability to be removed with nitrifying biofilters. However, this treatment strategy has not been used in intensive aquaculture due to the high availability of the area in demand, which exceeds that required by compact equipment for nitrifying biofiltration. Mixotrophic phytodepuration, which corresponds to the integration of two tertiary wastewater treatment technologies (biofiltration-autotrophic and phytodepuration), could be an efficient response for the treatment of aquaculture wastewater, given the interaction between the organisms involved. For this reason, this review focuses on the potential use of mixotrophic cultivation for the control of nutrients-pollutants in "RAS" or aquaculture wastewater, in addition to contributing to the development of circular economy.

On March 11, 2020, the World Health Organization (WHO) declared the Wuhan China respiratory virus outbreak a pandemic. There was no quick mechanism to identify those infected, so it was not possible to apply an isolation procedure that was 100% effective to prevent the spread. This required the application of general rules of physical distancing to the entire population. At the same time, this forced to reduce import, export, production, and consumption employment activities, which of course, caused the fall of markets and economies, leaving millions of people unemployed. Despite this, sanitary measures and free movement restrictions have had a positive impact on the environment, significantly reducing atmospheric emissions. In turn, organizations have implemented many strategies and new ways of working and doing business, which has implied organizational changes and has shown that the best prepared companies are those that make better use of digital technologies. All the above demonstrates the ability of human beings to face crisis, a lesson that can now be applied to a sustainable economic recovery linked to the international climate agenda that seeks to adapt to climate change and, if possible, stop the phenomenon.

In a city like Barcelona, where traffic density is so high, it is important to have good traffic light management. One of the most influential points in the management, is the synchronization and duration of the traffic light phases. If these parameters could be managed remotely, traffic could be managed in an intelligent and sustainable way, being more efficient. Today, thanks to technology, it is possible to interact with urban equipment remotely. The problem is that in the Sant Martí neighborhood this could not be done because the traffic light groups are not well structured. If you add to this problem the traffic of the tramway, it makes a restructuring even more necessary. In this work we propose to start by reorganizing the traffic light groups that affect the tramway, since it is an important part of mobility. The streetcar moves a large amount of the population and it is important that its route is fluid. If I manage to have a good organization, it is possible to act remotely with the traffic lights that regulate its path, forcing "green" phases that help its fluidity. The results of having interfered with the streetcar's traffic light phases translate into smoother traffic, shorter travel times and more sustainability

The creation and development of activities, projects, and companies aware of their impact on the planet in the short, medium, and long term, generate much more value when this leadership comes from a female entrepreneurial vocation, by enriching and optimising the value of diversity in the management of resources, traditionally directed by the male ecosystem. Methodology: a methodological triangulation is applied through in-depth interviews with international key informants, analysis of digital contents in the regions of Andalusia (Spain) and Aveiro (Portugal) and the review of previous scientific literature. Results: The new Spanish-Portuguese startups are still mostly led by men, while the share of female entrepreneurial leadership represents the 26.5% of the total sample. Discussion: although there is a wide range of improvement in presence and communication, women are increasing their entrepreneurial and innovative activity. In any case, co-responsibility with the community and care for the environmental legacy are still latent values for professional differentiation. Conclusions: the research highlights current international objective data on entrepreneurial corporate digital communication, providing a complete picture of the reality of women who are committing to business models whose mission, vision and values are focused on sustainability
