Data for measuring electricity security risks
This dataset provides annual measurements of the composite index of electricity security risks (MESRI) for countries of the world (for which data is available). It also provides annual series of the different indicators used for the calculation of such index: the governance index (GI), the ratio of growth of the rate of access to electricity in urban area to growth of urbanization rate (RUB), the transformed share of renewable electricity in total supply (RRE), the rate of electricity supply self-sufficiency (ESS), the rate of electricity supply efficiency (ESE), the share of GDP per capita not dedicated to cover the cost of electricity supply (RNEEX), GDP per capita expressed as percentage of the world average GDP per capita (RGDPcW), the rate of access to electricity (RACE).
