description Publicationkeyboard_double_arrow_right Conference object , Other literature type 2019Publisher:Zenodo Authors: Podrigalo, Mikhail; Abramov, Dmytro; Kaіdalov, Ruslan; Abramova, Tetyana;This article addresses the problem that fluctuations in the torque of an internal combustion engine (ICE) lead to additional energy losses, as it causes fluctuations in the speed and kinetic energy of the car. These losses increase as the frequency of oscillations of the torque of the internal combustion engine approaches the frequency of free (natural oscillations) of the running gear of the car in the longitudinal direction. If there is an elastic connection between the traction force and the movement of the car, the movement of the latter can be represented as complex. At the same time, the portable movement is uniform, and the relative movement is oscillatory. This article presents the results of the study of these losses for cars with mechanical and combined electromechanical drive wheels. Analytical expressions are obtained, which allows to take into account additional energy losses including the tangential rigidity of the tire and the rigidity of the suspension in the longitudinal direction. When using a combined electromechanical drive of the drive wheels as well as in the case of a mechanical transmission of a car, the resonance is dangerous. But with the increase in the share of torque kem on the wheel generated by the electric motor, the relative additional energy losses for the movement of the car are reduced.

The appearance of a large amount of used modern electric cars on the market caused the necessity to develop the procedures of provision their technical operation both by requirements of rational use and provision of traffic safety. Research of the use of electric car Tesla Model S90D in conditions of Ukraine is carried out with certain indicators of environment and with different settings of car parameters. This provides an opportunity to understand how much the given model of the electric car is appropriate in exploitation in different conditions and also to determine which parameters of electric car settings fit the economic usage in different conditions and different seasons most of all. By results of road research on the change of accumulator battery capacity depending on the temperature of the environment, we established that the capacity reduces by 1% with every degree of negative temperature. A comfortable range of temperatures is determined for the use of accumulator battery of car (from 0 to 20 °С) is determined. By results of the research, the indicators of the effectiveness of the use of electric car battery power saving mode are determined – the reduction of the consumption is from 14 to 29 % depending on energy consumers. The significant impact of the pressure values in electric car tires on the energy consumption is established independently from turning on the energy consumers – the increase is from 10% to 40% depending on its speed of movement. Additionally, the determination of the indicators of electric car energy effectiveness for the speed of 140-150 km/h is carried out by which the energy use is 550-670 W h/km and provides the driving distance on the level of 160 km.

Nowadays, transport systems efficiency plays a key role for communities’ liveability and economy, being in addition an important factor in the economic integration of countries. The purpose of the article is to develop multi-stage models of tourist activities for optimizing the development of operating companies. For the implementation of models, the authors evolved the relevant system of organizational-functional support for the development of railway tourism. The research will enable us to take into consideration risks when planning tourist routes by railway, determine the order of construction or start of routes, and assess their profitability. This will provide to earn the expected incomes of all interested parties in tourist activities for the specified period. The authors created economic-mathematical models of the discrete optimal planning of the railway tourism operations. This takes into account conditions of risks and cooperation, and allows to determine which sets of effective routes are the most profitable ones. The results of the realization of the developed models include the task of the succession of the tourist route introduction according to the present and future infrastructure, availability of the rolling stock, etc. In this, consideration is given to obtaining maximum profit from tourism businesses for every participant during an established period.

The study is aimed at substantiating the structure and determining the main parameters of the traction electric drive of an electric locomotive for railway quarry transport, taking into account its modes of operation. Methodology. The research was carried out by means of mathematical modeling, which included solving the traction problem and evaluating the parameters of the energy exchange processes between the components of the traction electric drive. The simulation was carried out for the movement of the train along the track section and during shunting, which differ significantly in their mathematical description. During simulation of movement along the track section, the traction problem was solved using recommendations for traction calculations for train operation. A simplified model was developed to simulate movements during shunting. Determination of the parameters of the traction electric drive components is carried out by analyzing the processes of energy exchange in the traction electric drive based on the power balance. During the studies, it was assumed that the on-board energy storage in the traction mode feeds the traction electric motors of the booster section. In the electrodynamic braking mode, the energy accumulator stores energy from all traction electric motors of the electric locomotive. Findings. The authors obtained time dependences of the parameters that characterize the train movement at all stages of the cycle «empty half passage – loading – loaded half passage – unloading» (on the example of an electric locomotive for PJSC «Ferrexpo Poltava Mining»). The analysis of the obtained dependencies made it possible to determine the parameters of the main components of the traction electric drive for the proposed storage operation scenario. It was established that the energy capacity of the energy storage should be 250 kWh for one movement cycle. The energy storage power is 6000 kW. Originality. The authors of this paper for the first time proposed the structure of the traction electric drive of an electric locomotive for quarry railway transport, in which the electric motors of the control electric locomotive are powered from the catenary network, and the electric motors of the booster section are powered from the energy accumulator and are included in the operation at a load that exceeds 50% of the nominal one. Practical value. The practical value lies in the developed mathematical models of movement and energy exchange processes, which can be applied to the study of traction electric drives of vehicles of various purposes.

According to the results of theoretic researches, there was determined an influence of every factor on the power consumption during vehicle movement in the modes typical for Lutsk city. There was established a contribution of the factors into the total power consumption on micro and macro levels. As a result of the study it was evaluated that an influence of a driver on a power consumption is situated within 50…80 %, an influence of an air resistance is up to 10 %, an influence of a longitudinal profile and a road resistance varies within 20…35 %. According to the results of experiments, there were determined the bus driving modes in urban conditions, and according to their results, there was built an average graph of bus movement in Lutsk city. There was made a mathematic modelling of electric vehicle movement, along with that there was taken into account the most probable range of change of the exterior factors, namely vehicle acceleration, road resistance, air resistance. It was proved that while speed is growing, the influence of road resistance and of air resistance is growing up and has a parabolic character, along with that the contribution of a driver is decreasing. The contribution of the study consists in that, There were proposed the coefficients of taking into consideration the influence of exterior factors on the power consumption by the vehicle and there was built a mathematic model for their determination. These coefficients of taking into consideration the influence of exterior factors on the power consumption give a possibility to evaluate the critical influences and to make an operative decision about the minimization of power consumption as for some specific vehicles, and for an enterprise. Further researches will focus on the plotting of telemetric means of informing, in a mode of real time, of the drivers of the vehicles, of the controllers of an enterprise about the exterior influences, that will give a possibility to make the appropriative decisions instantly. Besides, the given results can be used in order to determine the level of qualification of a driver, the state of road pavement, will give a possibility to find some more rational layout of bus stops, traffic lights, to optimize the routes of vehicles movement.

Because of the multifactor character and complexity of relationships, it is impossible to determine the potential mobility by a calculation method. The feasibility of different target movements, depending on their distance, is regarded by rural populations differently. Each rural settlement is located among many other rural and urban settlements with an individual quantitative and qualitative set of social, cultural, and industrial potential. With the developed road network and public transport system, the population selects the center of gravity with the limitations imposed by this transport system and is based on subjective considerations about the quality of service. The distribution of urban residents’ movements to the rural areas is affected by the size of the city, movement distance, movement purpose, i.e. the same factors as rural residents’ movement to cities. The difference is that the radius of urban residents’ movements distribution is much smaller. Thus, the zone of intensive and regular movements in the working day cycle covers only nearest to cities rural area with a radius of 15 km. On weekends, due to guest visits and holiday trips, the radius of this zone extends approximately 1,5-2 times. Based on the links distribution, the scatter band of the initial and final points of movement can be obtained. Since the density of scattering varies with respect to settlements, then we can allocate the territorial units that will make service zone on their sets. Research results can be an integral part of comprehensive studies of determining the transport links density, hubs of passenger flows’ origin, and suppression to construct mathematical models of the most efficient passenger transport system operation.

The research aimes at obtaining of new knowledge in «air conditioning» direction development at railway transport using products and services of Web of Science (WoS) scientometric database. Chronological frameworks of the studied scientific articles are – 2010-2015 years. Methodology. In order to obtain relevant empirical data the authors reviewed the world literature on the paper topic with the use of full-texts and abstract databases. The algorithm of «incremental» actions in WoS was considered according to: 1) forming the «core» of publications; 2) establishment of the most «top» issues; 3) identifying the most intellectually productive authors; 4) determining the representation level of thematic publications of Ukrainian scientists in WoS; 5) the presence of collaboration among scientists from different countries on the investigational subject. Findings. The authors proved: 1) climate comfort, energy efficiency and thermal comfort are the top-themes of «air conditioning» direction at railway transport; 2) Ukrainian scientists have not yet joined to the global processes in the thematic scientific information sharing; 3) the most intellectually productive authors of scientific articles are China’s scientists; 4) there is no information about international collaboration of scientists on the investigational subject. Originality. The authors firstly conducted scientometric research in the field of railway transport (subject area «air conditioning») on the basis of products and services in the global WoS citation database. Practical value. Based on the results, one can correct personal exploration research of individual scientists or research teams as well as predict further prospects of the subject «air conditioning» direction at the railway transport. Survey data may also be useful in the study of the «Scientific information system and scientometrics» subject, organization of workshops, training courses, etc.

The concept of sustainable transportation of goods as the primary paradigm for designing contemporary logistics systems assumes the use of energy-efficient and affordable modes of transport in a way that guarantees the most cost-efficient variant of the delivery scheme. That especially applies to road transport deliveries, where the number of alternatives for organizing the transportation process is numerous and the choice of the optimal solution is complicated by the multiple stochastic influences of the environment on the technological processes. In this paper, we contribute to solving the problem of shaping the sustainable delivery schemes by proposing an approach to shape the complete set of alternative transport and technological schemes for packaged cargo delivery by road transport. The developed mathematical model allows estimating the efficiency of each alternative delivery scheme for the given request and chooses the best variant that minimizes the total costs of all participants in the delivery process. The proposed algorithms are implemented in the C# programming language within the frame of a class library for modeling transport delivery processes. A case of transport processes for Delivery Ltd. (Kharkiv, Ukraine) is applied to illustrate the procedure of using the developed approach to choose the optimal transport and technological schemes for long-distance deliveries. As the result of simulating the goods transportation processes, we show the regression models that represent dependencies of the total costs for the implementation of a delivery scheme from the parameters of demand for the transportation of goods. These regression models allow estimating the most efficient delivery schemes based on the functional analysis of the obtained dependencies for the given demand parameters.

This paper is devoted to improving both the efficiency and the environmental friendliness of road vehicles during their operations through optimization of traffic phase duration within the controlled crossings. A novel criterion to optimize traffic phase duration within a controlled crossing is proposed. The proposed criterion supposes the minimal total delays of all road users waiting for a permissive traffic signal at the crossing and takes into consideration both pedestrian density and the number of passengers in vehicles. The calculation technique for the traffic phase was proposed, according to which delays of all road users were optimized, helping to improve the efficiency of vehicle operation within crossings. Based on the method, a technique to control traffic within crossings is developed and tested. Comparative analysis confirmed the decrease in unproductive delays of vehicles within the controlled crossings by contrast with the traditional approach. The technique makes it possible to reduce the delay of road users by 15-20% depending upon road crowding, the number of pedestrians, and passengers. Owing to the decreased period of waiting for a permissive traffic signal, the energy efficiency of public transport increases.

These losses increase as the frequency of oscillations of the torque of the internal combustion engine approaches the frequency of free (natural oscillations) of the running gear of the car in the longitudinal direction. If there is an elastic connection between the traction force and the movement of the car, the movement of the latter can be represented as complex. At the same time, the portable movement is uniform, and the relative movement is oscillatory. This article presents the results of the study of these losses for cars with mechanical and combined electromechanical drive wheels. Analytical expressions are obtained, which allows to take into account additional energy losses including the tangential rigidity of the tire and the rigidity of the suspension in the longitudinal direction. When using a combined electromechanical drive of the drive wheels as well as in the case of a mechanical transmission of a car, the resonance is dangerous. But with the increase in the share of torque kem on the wheel generated by the electric motor, the relative additional energy losses for the movement of the car are reduced.

The appearance of a large amount of used modern electric cars on the market caused the necessity to develop the procedures of provision their technical operation both by requirements of rational use and provision of traffic safety. Research of the use of electric car Tesla Model S90D in conditions of Ukraine is carried out with certain indicators of environment and with different settings of car parameters. This provides an opportunity to understand how much the given model of the electric car is appropriate in exploitation in different conditions and also to determine which parameters of electric car settings fit the economic usage in different conditions and different seasons most of all. By results of road research on the change of accumulator battery capacity depending on the temperature of the environment, we established that the capacity reduces by 1% with every degree of negative temperature. A comfortable range of temperatures is determined for the use of accumulator battery of car (from 0 to 20 °С) is determined. By results of the research, the indicators of the effectiveness of the use of electric car battery power saving mode are determined – the reduction of the consumption is from 14 to 29 % depending on energy consumers. The significant impact of the pressure values in electric car tires on the energy consumption is established independently from turning on the energy consumers – the increase is from 10% to 40% depending on its speed of movement. Additionally, the determination of the indicators of electric car energy effectiveness for the speed of 140-150 km/h is carried out by which the energy use is 550-670 W h/km and provides the driving distance on the level of 160 km.

Nowadays, transport systems efficiency plays a key role for communities’ liveability and economy, being in addition an important factor in the economic integration of countries. The purpose of the article is to develop multi-stage models of tourist activities for optimizing the development of operating companies. For the implementation of models, the authors evolved the relevant system of organizational-functional support for the development of railway tourism. The research will enable us to take into consideration risks when planning tourist routes by railway, determine the order of construction or start of routes, and assess their profitability. This will provide to earn the expected incomes of all interested parties in tourist activities for the specified period. The authors created economic-mathematical models of the discrete optimal planning of the railway tourism operations. This takes into account conditions of risks and cooperation, and allows to determine which sets of effective routes are the most profitable ones. The results of the realization of the developed models include the task of the succession of the tourist route introduction according to the present and future infrastructure, availability of the rolling stock, etc. In this, consideration is given to obtaining maximum profit from tourism businesses for every participant during an established period.

The study is aimed at substantiating the structure and determining the main parameters of the traction electric drive of an electric locomotive for railway quarry transport, taking into account its modes of operation. Methodology. The research was carried out by means of mathematical modeling, which included solving the traction problem and evaluating the parameters of the energy exchange processes between the components of the traction electric drive. The simulation was carried out for the movement of the train along the track section and during shunting, which differ significantly in their mathematical description. During simulation of movement along the track section, the traction problem was solved using recommendations for traction calculations for train operation. A simplified model was developed to simulate movements during shunting. Determination of the parameters of the traction electric drive components is carried out by analyzing the processes of energy exchange in the traction electric drive based on the power balance. During the studies, it was assumed that the on-board energy storage in the traction mode feeds the traction electric motors of the booster section. In the electrodynamic braking mode, the energy accumulator stores energy from all traction electric motors of the electric locomotive. Findings. The authors obtained time dependences of the parameters that characterize the train movement at all stages of the cycle «empty half passage – loading – loaded half passage – unloading» (on the example of an electric locomotive for PJSC «Ferrexpo Poltava Mining»). The analysis of the obtained dependencies made it possible to determine the parameters of the main components of the traction electric drive for the proposed storage operation scenario. It was established that the energy capacity of the energy storage should be 250 kWh for one movement cycle. The energy storage power is 6000 kW. Originality. The authors of this paper for the first time proposed the structure of the traction electric drive of an electric locomotive for quarry railway transport, in which the electric motors of the control electric locomotive are powered from the catenary network, and the electric motors of the booster section are powered from the energy accumulator and are included in the operation at a load that exceeds 50% of the nominal one. Practical value. The practical value lies in the developed mathematical models of movement and energy exchange processes, which can be applied to the study of traction electric drives of vehicles of various purposes.

According to the results of theoretic researches, there was determined an influence of every factor on the power consumption during vehicle movement in the modes typical for Lutsk city. There was established a contribution of the factors into the total power consumption on micro and macro levels. As a result of the study it was evaluated that an influence of a driver on a power consumption is situated within 50…80 %, an influence of an air resistance is up to 10 %, an influence of a longitudinal profile and a road resistance varies within 20…35 %. According to the results of experiments, there were determined the bus driving modes in urban conditions, and according to their results, there was built an average graph of bus movement in Lutsk city. There was made a mathematic modelling of electric vehicle movement, along with that there was taken into account the most probable range of change of the exterior factors, namely vehicle acceleration, road resistance, air resistance. It was proved that while speed is growing, the influence of road resistance and of air resistance is growing up and has a parabolic character, along with that the contribution of a driver is decreasing. The contribution of the study consists in that, There were proposed the coefficients of taking into consideration the influence of exterior factors on the power consumption by the vehicle and there was built a mathematic model for their determination. These coefficients of taking into consideration the influence of exterior factors on the power consumption give a possibility to evaluate the critical influences and to make an operative decision about the minimization of power consumption as for some specific vehicles, and for an enterprise. Further researches will focus on the plotting of telemetric means of informing, in a mode of real time, of the drivers of the vehicles, of the controllers of an enterprise about the exterior influences, that will give a possibility to make the appropriative decisions instantly. Besides, the given results can be used in order to determine the level of qualification of a driver, the state of road pavement, will give a possibility to find some more rational layout of bus stops, traffic lights, to optimize the routes of vehicles movement.

Because of the multifactor character and complexity of relationships, it is impossible to determine the potential mobility by a calculation method. The feasibility of different target movements, depending on their distance, is regarded by rural populations differently. Each rural settlement is located among many other rural and urban settlements with an individual quantitative and qualitative set of social, cultural, and industrial potential. With the developed road network and public transport system, the population selects the center of gravity with the limitations imposed by this transport system and is based on subjective considerations about the quality of service. The distribution of urban residents’ movements to the rural areas is affected by the size of the city, movement distance, movement purpose, i.e. the same factors as rural residents’ movement to cities. The difference is that the radius of urban residents’ movements distribution is much smaller. Thus, the zone of intensive and regular movements in the working day cycle covers only nearest to cities rural area with a radius of 15 km. On weekends, due to guest visits and holiday trips, the radius of this zone extends approximately 1,5-2 times. Based on the links distribution, the scatter band of the initial and final points of movement can be obtained. Since the density of scattering varies with respect to settlements, then we can allocate the territorial units that will make service zone on their sets. Research results can be an integral part of comprehensive studies of determining the transport links density, hubs of passenger flows’ origin, and suppression to construct mathematical models of the most efficient passenger transport system operation.

The research aimes at obtaining of new knowledge in «air conditioning» direction development at railway transport using products and services of Web of Science (WoS) scientometric database. Chronological frameworks of the studied scientific articles are – 2010-2015 years. Methodology. In order to obtain relevant empirical data the authors reviewed the world literature on the paper topic with the use of full-texts and abstract databases. The algorithm of «incremental» actions in WoS was considered according to: 1) forming the «core» of publications; 2) establishment of the most «top» issues; 3) identifying the most intellectually productive authors; 4) determining the representation level of thematic publications of Ukrainian scientists in WoS; 5) the presence of collaboration among scientists from different countries on the investigational subject. Findings. The authors proved: 1) climate comfort, energy efficiency and thermal comfort are the top-themes of «air conditioning» direction at railway transport; 2) Ukrainian scientists have not yet joined to the global processes in the thematic scientific information sharing; 3) the most intellectually productive authors of scientific articles are China’s scientists; 4) there is no information about international collaboration of scientists on the investigational subject. Originality. The authors firstly conducted scientometric research in the field of railway transport (subject area «air conditioning») on the basis of products and services in the global WoS citation database. Practical value. Based on the results, one can correct personal exploration research of individual scientists or research teams as well as predict further prospects of the subject «air conditioning» direction at the railway transport. The concept of sustainable transportation of goods as the primary paradigm for designing contemporary logistics systems assumes the use of energy-efficient and affordable modes of transport in a way that guarantees the most cost-efficient variant of the delivery scheme. That especially applies to road transport deliveries, where the number of alternatives for organizing the transportation process is numerous and the choice of the optimal solution is complicated by the multiple stochastic influences of the environment on the technological processes. In this paper, we contribute to solving the problem of shaping the sustainable delivery schemes by proposing an approach to shape the complete set of alternative transport and technological schemes for packaged cargo delivery by road transport. The developed mathematical model allows estimating the efficiency of each alternative delivery scheme for the given request and chooses the best variant that minimizes the total costs of all participants in the delivery process. The proposed algorithms are implemented in the C# programming language within the frame of a class library for modeling transport delivery processes. A case of transport processes for Delivery Ltd. (Kharkiv, Ukraine) is applied to illustrate the procedure of using the developed approach to choose the optimal transport and technological schemes for long-distance deliveries. As the result of simulating the goods transportation processes, we show the regression models that represent dependencies of the total costs for the implementation of a delivery scheme from the parameters of demand for the transportation of goods. These regression models allow estimating the most efficient delivery schemes based on the functional analysis of the obtained dependencies for the given demand parameters.

This paper is devoted to improving both the efficiency and the environmental friendliness of road vehicles during their operations through optimization of traffic phase duration within the controlled crossings. A novel criterion to optimize traffic phase duration within a controlled crossing is proposed. The proposed criterion supposes the minimal total delays of all road users waiting for a permissive traffic signal at the crossing and takes into consideration both pedestrian density and the number of passengers in vehicles. The calculation technique for the traffic phase was proposed, according to which delays of all road users were optimized, helping to improve the efficiency of vehicle operation within crossings. Based on the method, a technique to control traffic within crossings is developed and tested. Comparative analysis confirmed the decrease in unproductive delays of vehicles within the controlled crossings by contrast with the traditional approach. The technique makes it possible to reduce the delay of road users by 15-20% depending upon road crowding, the number of pedestrians, and passengers. Owing to the decreased period of waiting for a permissive traffic signal, the energy efficiency of public transport increases.
