    Las empresas optan cada vez más por modos de transporte más sostenibles, como el ferrocarril, el transporte marítimo de corta distancia y el transporte por vías navegables interiores, con el fin de reducir las emisiones de carbono y el impacto medioambiental. En la actualidad, la humanidad está tecnológicamente bien desarrollada, dirigiendo ahora su atención a un punto que no se puede ignorar: la producción sostenible. A medida que avanza la producción de bienes y servicios, surgen problemas de sostenibilidad por varias razones relacionadas, una de ellas es el uso esencial de la logística. Así, esta investigación se realizó de manera exploratoria cualitativa, beneficiando la búsqueda de estudios que contemplen el transporte logístico, diseñados a través de las necesidades sustentables actuales. La investigación tuvo como objetivo evaluar la relación entre ‘logística y transporte sostenible’ verificando las discusiones sobre el tema, considerando los objetivos de desarrollo propuestos por el 'Objetivo de Desarrollo Sostenible 12 - Producción y consumo responsables'. Los datos utilizados fueron disertaciones y tesis científicas, así como una recopilación de artículos y documentos vinculados a las expresiones clave 'transporte sostenible' y 'cadena logística'. En el análisis de contenido se pudo identificar la escasez de materiales que relacionan el transporte de carga y la sustentabilidad. Los resultados mostraron la falta de investigaciones que incluyan la importancia de la sostenibilidad aplicada a los modos logísticos, además de no explicar adecuadamente el compromiso de Brasil con los Objetivos de Desarrollo Sostenible en el ámbito del transporte logístico. As empresas estão cada vez mais optando por modos de transporte mais sustentáveis, como ferrovias, transporte marítimo de curta distância e transporte fluvial, a fim de reduzir as emissões de carbono e o impacto ambiental. Atualmente, a humanidade encontra-se bem desenvolvida tecnologicamente, voltando as atenções, agora, a um ponto que não pode ser ignorado: a produção sustentável. À medida que se avança na produção de bens e serviços, problemas sustentáveis surgem oriundos de diversos motivos vinculados, sendo um deles, a imprescindível utilização da logística. Assim a pesquisa foi realizada de maneira exploratória qualitativa, beneficiando a busca por estudos que contemplem o transporte logístico, projetado através das necessidades sustentáveis atuais. A pesquisa teve o objetivo de avaliar a relação “logística x transporte sustentável” através da verificação de discussões do assunto, considerando as metas de desenvolvimento propostas pelo Objetivo de Desenvolvimento Sustentável 12 - Consumo e produção responsáveis. Os dados utilizados foram dissertações e teses científicas, além de um compilado de matérias e documentos vinculados às expressões-chave transporte sustentável e cadeia logística. Na análise do conteúdo foi possível identificar a escassez de pesquisas que relacionam o transporte de cargas e a sustentabilidade. Os resultados evidenciaram a carência de pesquisas que incluam a importância da sustentabilidade aplicada aos modais logísticos, além de não explicitar devidamente o compromisso do Brasil visando os Objetivos Desenvolvimento Sustentável no âmbito do transporte logístico. Companies are increasingly opting for more sustainable modes of transport, such as railways, short sea shipping and river transport, in order to reduce carbon emissions and environmental impact. Currently, humanity is well developed technologically, now turning its attention to a point that cannot be ignored: sustainable production. As progress is made in the production of goods and services, sustainable problems arise due to several linked reasons, one of which is the essential use of logistics. Thus, the research was carried out in a qualitative exploratory manner, benefiting the search for studies that consider logistical transport, designed based on current sustainable needs. The research aimed to evaluate the relationship “logistics x sustainable transport” by verifying discussions on the subject, considering the development goals proposed by Sustainable Development Goal 12 - Responsible consumption and production. The data used were scientific dissertations and theses, in addition to a compilation of materials and documents linked to the key expressions sustainable transport and logistics chain. In the content analysis, it was possible to identify the scarcity of research that relates cargo transportation and sustainability. The results highlighted the lack of research that includes the importance of sustainability applied to logistics modes, in addition to not properly explaining Brazil's commitment to the Sustainable Development Goals in the context of logistics transport.

    Devido à evolução de carga transportada há um aumento do consumo de diesel do transporte ferroviário, e, portanto, existe uma preocupação em desenvolver mecanismo para amenizar o impacto ambiental causado pelo uso de combustíveis fósseis e redução do custo com o seu uso. O biodiesel vem sendo uma fonte de energia alternativa promissora, o qual propõe não só em reduzir os principais gases causadores do efeito estufa, como também em amenizar o alto custo com o consumo de óleo diesel. Dado a essa sua importante característica, o presente trabalho tem como objetivo de levantar, de forma sucinta, as tendências desse biocombustível no modo ferroviário, tendo como referencia de aplicabilidade e sucesso à Companhia do Vale do Rio Doce.--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Due to carried load evolution there is an increase in the consumption of diesel rail transport, and, therefore, there is a concern to develop mechanism to alleviate the environmental impact caused by the use of fossil fuels and reducing the cost with its use. The biodiesel has been a source of energy promising alternative, which proposes not only to reduce the principal gases causing the greenhouse effect, as well as alleviate the high cost to the consumption of diesel oil. Given that its important feature, this paper has as objective of raising, briefly, trends in the way that biofuel rail, taking as reference of applicability and success of the Company Vale do Rio Doce.

    A atualidade marca-se cada vez mais pela crescente procura por soluções de mobilidade mais eficientes, acessíveis e sustentáveis. Assim surge a Mobilidade Partilhada, que desafia os modelos tradicionais da Indústria Automóvel. As variações nas preferências e necessidades das pessoas demonstram que o uso do veículo assume posição face à sua propriedade. A opinião e a perspetiva das empresas do setor acerca desta mudança de paradigma carece de alguma base substancial, desse modo este estudo propõe-se a preencher essa lacuna. Para esse efeito, adotou-se uma abordagem qualitativa exploratória, cujos resultados baseiam-se nos relatos de 15 especialistas da indústria automóvel. Nestas entrevistas foram recolhidos valiosos insights acerca dos impactos desta tendência emergente. As infraestruturas precárias, a resistência cultural e a legislação complexa são destacadas como desafios, que poderão ser ultrapassados a partir de tecnologias avançadas, de parcerias estratégicas e da conscientização dos consumidores. Estas adaptações potencializam benefícios e oportunidades, como a rentabilização dos ativos, a diminuição das emissões de carbono e a melhoria da relação com o cliente. Esta investigação destaca a importância de superar esses desafios e de adotar estratégias inovadoras, para que se possa garantir um futuro sustentável e eficiente no ecossistema dos transportes. É imperativo derrubar as barreiras estruturais existentes. Este novo conceito ainda divide as opiniões dos gestores do sector automóvel, no entanto existe uma convergência clara de que a Mobilidade Partilhada é um modelo de negócio cada vez mais presente e relevante na Indústria Automóvel. At present, there is a growing demand for mobility solutions that are more efficient, more accessible and more sustainable. This has led to the emergence of Shared Mobility, which challenges traditional models in the automotive industry. People's preferences and needs are changing, with vehicle usage taking precedence over ownership. This study aims to fill the gap in the opinion and perspective of companies in the sector regarding this paradigm shift. To achieve this, we adopted an exploratory qualitative approach. The results are based on the accounts of 15 experts in the automotive industry. The interviews provided valuable insights into the impacts of this emerging trend. Challenges such as poor infrastructure, cultural resistance, and complex legislation were highlighted. However, these challenges can be overcome through advanced technologies, strategic partnerships, and consumer awareness. These adaptations offer potential benefits and opportunities, such as maximizing assets, reducing carbon emissions, and enhancing customer relationships. This investigation highlights the importance of overcoming these challenges and adopting innovative strategies to ensure a sustainable and efficient future in the transport ecosystem. It is imperative to break down existing structural barriers. Although this new concept still divides the opinions of automotive sector managers, there is a clear convergence that Shared Mobility is an increasingly present and relevant business model in the Automotive Industry.

    Mestrado Bolonha em Gestão e Estratégia Industrial Com a pandemia da COVID-19 observou-se um boom do e-commerce e consequentemente da distribuição de last mile. Por conseguinte, constatou-se um aumento de CO2 emitido pelas frotas das empresas, de modo a dar resposta ao aumento exponencial de entregas, que se verificou de mês para mês em 2020, atingido um máximo absoluto em 2021. O presente projeto analise e procura soluções para uma distribuição alimentar de last mile mais sustentável através de viaturas elétricas. Para suportar o estudo desenvolvido faz-se uma revisão de literatura explorando conceitos como a cadeia de abastecimento alimentar, a distribuição de last mile e a sustentabilidade dos veículos eco-friendly. Caracteriza-se a empresa em estudo e a sua operação de distribuição e definem-se um conjunto de cenários a estudar que poderiam ser viáveis para a empresa a nível de veículos a utilizar. Estabelece-se um conjunto de indicadores de performance de modo a analisar o impacto real que uma frota 100% elétrica poderá ter na operação da empresa. As viaturas elétricas já apresentam vantagens quando comparadas com as viaturas a combustão, tanto pelo custo de um “depósito elétrico”, onde este chega a ser menor, entre três a quatro vezes, do que um depósito a gasóleo, assim como também pelas não emissões de CO2. No entanto, as mesmas ainda não atingiram o patamar para que a empresa em estudo tenha uma frota 100% sustentável, uma vez que não existem soluções de viaturas elétricas refrigeradas no mercado que correspondam às necessidades operacionais. Apesar disso, reitera-se os esforços positivos e o foco da empresa na introdução de mais viaturas elétricas, numa tentativa de dar resposta às pressões das entidades reguladoras, dos clientes e das insígnias, tendo como resultados a diminuição da sua pegada ecológica e a continuação na vanguarda das inovações neste setor tão específico como o last mile da distribuição alimentar. With the COVID-19 pandemic, there was a boom in e-commerce and, consequently, in last mile distribution. Therefore, there was an increase in CO2 emitted by company fleets, to respond to the exponential increase in deliveries, which occurred from month to month in 2020, reaching an absolute maximum in 2021. This project analyzes and seeks solutions for a more sustainable last mile food distribution through electric vehicles. To support the developed study, a literature review explores concepts such as the food supply chain, last mile distribution, and the sustainability of eco-friendly vehicles. The company under study and its distribution operation are characterized and a set of scenarios to be studied that could be viable for the company in terms of vehicles to be used are defined. A set of performance indicators is established to analyze the real impact that a 100% electric fleet may have on the company's operation. Electric vehicles already have advantages when compared to combustion vehicles, both because of the cost of an “electric tank”, which is between three and four times smaller than a diesel tank, as well as because of the non-emissions. of CO2. However, they have not yet reached the level for the company under study to have a 100% sustainable fleet, since there are no refrigerated electric vehicle solutions on the market that correspond to operational needs. Despite this, the positive efforts and the company's focus on the introduction of more electric vehicles are reiterated, to respond to pressure from regulatory authorities, customers, and brands, resulting in a reduction in its ecological footprint and the continuation at the forefront of innovations in this sector as specific as the last mile of food distribution. info:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersion

Although this is not a new technology, in the course of time it was improved and today it’s use is limited by precarious infrastructure in countries such as Brazil. Research and development projects have sought to solutions and dissemination of this technology in order to induce more interest in electric vehicles. In the case of CELESC in Santa Catarina state, there has been an interest to know the impact of those electrical vehicles in the grid which this company manages. The CERTI Foundation as project executor seeks this information and therefore, tests with the vehicles and charging facilities are needed to develop the charging station system. In this work, is sought to know the efficiency of an electrical vehicle acquired by this R&D project and the efficiency of the charging station utilized. The results show that an electrical vehicle is up to seven times more energy efficient that a regular internal combustion car moved by gasoline and the charging station used is slightly more efficient than informed by the manufacturer. ; Os veículos elétricos surgiram antes dos movidos à combustão interna mas são tratados hoje como novidade e uma nova solução para a mobilidade humana. Apesar de não ser nova esta tecnologia, com o tempo, ela foi aperfeiçoada e hoje o seu uso está limitado pela infraestrutura precária em países como o Brasil para o uso livre destes veículos.     The dissertation intends to exemplify mechanisms of technological innovations that are focused on sustainable development and relevant to the contemporary challenges of the maritime transport market. First, we will talk about what is maritime transport as a mode of trade, especially international. We also intend to clarify what is sustainable and what could be a sustainable technological innovation or “blue tech”. Decarbonization is an option that is not only viable, but necessary. The problem arises when pointing out contemporary challenges, such as climate change and COVID 19, and what practical measures are being taken by the countries and proposals to overcome these challenges. Our context will be that of the European Union and the practical measures will be the laws and pacts formed in favor of sustainable development. The decarbonization pact being the big pivot of the moment. We understand, however, that decarbonization must be part of the implementation in the area of innovation: digitization and automatization. Whether on land and / or sea. A dissertação pretende exemplificar mecanismos de inovações tecnológicas que sejam voltados ao desenvolvimento sustentável e relevantes aos desafios contemporâneos do mercado de transporte marítimo. Primeiramente, falaremos sobre o que é transporte marítimo enquanto modal de comércio, sobretudo internacional. Pretendemos, ainda, esclarecer o que é sustentável e o que poderá ser uma inovação tecnológica sustentável ou azul. Sendo a descarbonização uma opção não somente viável, mas necessária. A problemática surge ao apontar desafios contemporâneos, tal qual mudanças climáticas e COVID 19, e quais as medidas práticas que estão sendo tomados pelos países e propostas para superar esses desafios. Nosso contexto será o de União Europeia e as medidas práticas serão as legislações e pactos formados em prol do desenvolvimento sustentável, sendo o pacto de descarbonização o grande pivô do momento. Entendemos, porém que a descarbonização deve existir no contexto da inovação: a digitalização e automatização. Seja em âmbito terrestre e/ou marítimo.

    O Acordo de Paris é um marco no reconhecimento da urgência da transição para uma economia global de baixo carbono. Por outro lado, o setor de transportes (quase 25% das emissões globais de CO2) carece do devido foco por governos e organismos internacionais. Este artigo argumenta que os biocombustíveis avançados – etanol de 1ª geração (E1G) de cana-de-açúcar e o etanol celulósico ou de 2ª geração (E2G) – são a solução mais rápida e compatível. Além disso, o E2G, produzido a partir de resíduos, desconstrói a equivocada dicotomia “alimentos versus biocombustíveis”. Contudo, para a superação dos desafios do escalonamento do E2G, é importante aumentar a cooperação internacional. Por essa razão, o Brasil, sob a liderança do Itamaraty, logrou a criação da Plataforma para o Biofuturo, aliança internacional de vinte países que busca promover o desenvolvimento dos biocombustíveis avançados. The Paris Agreement is a milestone in the recognition of the urgency of the transition to a low-carbon global economy. On the other hand, the transport sector (almost 25% of global emissions of CO2) lacks the due focus by governments and international organizations. This article argues that advanced biofuels – first-generation sugarcane ethanol (E1G) and second-generation or cellulosic ethanol (E2G) – are the fastest and most compatible solution. In addition, the E2G, produced from waste, deconstructs the misplaced dichotomy "food versus biofuels." However, to overcome the challenges of scaling the E2G, it is important to increase international cooperation. For that reason, Brazil, under the leadership of Itamaraty, has succeeded in creating the Biofuturo platform, an international alliance of 20 countries that seeks to promote the development of advanced biofuels.     Este trabalho descreve o desenvolvimento e caracterização de uma máquina elétrica para aplicação em sistemas de tração automotiva. Compreende o estudo e a análise do perfil de carga e das grandezas eletromagnéticas e eletromecânicas através da construção de modelos analíticos, numéricos e experimentais. Através destes, são propostos critérios para o dimensionamento geométrico e para a escolha dos materiais. A topologia da máquina elétrica possui fluxo axial no entreferro, duplo rotor com ímãs permanentes setoriais, núcleo estator toroidal sem ranhuras e enrolamentos setoriais. Os modelos analíticos tridimensionais para a geometria e o volume dos enrolamentos são uma contribuição relevante em termos científicos. Experimentalmente, a máquina é acionada como gerador síncrono, com um rendimento interno de até 91,75%. Como gerador em regime de frenagem regenerativa obteve-se um rendimento interno de 78,61% no barramento CC. Ao final, utilizando o modelo automotivo de perdas, é feita uma análise em regime permanente do sistema acoplado, visando à caracterização da eficiência energética global do sistema. Os resultados obtidos permitem uma avaliação adequada da máquina no modo de operação proposto.

    A política marítima integrada da União Europeia veio introduzir, nas águas sob jurisdição nacional, uma nova abordagem de gestão, que visa identificar as diferentes atividades e usos do mar, bem como os diferentes stakeholders, por forma a organizar e a ordenar o espaço marítimo português. Desta forma, um processo de licenciamento simplificado, eficiente e transparente representa um instrumento valioso ao dispor do Estado com forte impacto nos três seguintes aspetos: proteção do meio ambiente, ordenamento do território e desenvolvimento socioeconómico. O desejado licenciamento simplificado na administração pública permitiria aos gestores tomar melhores opções sobre as atividades que fazem uso do mar, desde logo lidar com a incerteza das atividades emergentes em contraponto com as mais tradicionais. Face ao valor económico, ambiental e social que as atividades emergentes representam, é expectável que num futuro próximo haja um potencial de conflito de interesses com as atividades ditas tradicionais. Abstract: The Integrated Maritime Policy of the European Union has introduced in the waters under national jurisdiction a new management approach that aims to identify the different activities and uses of the sea, and the various stakeholders, in order to organize and to order the Portuguese maritime space. Thus a simplified, efficient and transparent licensing process is a valuable tool to the State, having a strong impact in the following three aspects: environmental protection, land use and socio-economic development. The desired simplified licensing in the public service would allow managers to make better choices about the activities that make use of the sea, starting with the uncertainty of emerging activities as opposed to the more traditional. Given the economic, environmental and social value that emerging activities represent, it is expected that in the near future, a potential conflict of interest with the socalled traditional activities occurs.     Resumo: Este trabalho propõe uma estratégia de gestão de energia, para aplicações em veículos elétricos, baseado em um sistema supervisório nebuloso que combina três diferentes fontes de suprimento, em termos de densidade de energia e de densidade de potência, a saber: célula a combustível, bateria e supercapacitor. O sistema supervisório coordena o fluxo de potência entre os dispositivos de suprimento de energia e provê elevada qualidade de energia necessária para um bom desempenho do sistema de propulsão do veículo elétrico. A estratégia proposta de gestão de energia do conversor eletrônico com múltiplas entradas possibilita o controle individual da transferência de potência das fontes de suprimento, em suas melhores regiões da atuação. Um conveniente arranjo entre as fontes e alocação dos recursos disponíveis permite reduzir o dimensionamento da célula a combustível. Adicionalmente, a vida útil destas fontes e a imunidade do sistema de suprimento a variações bruscas de demanda de potência são melhoradas. Um protótipo de 3 kW é simulado e avaliado experimentalmente, incluindo um banco de baterias de chumbo-ácido e supercapacitor, para comprovar a eficácia da estratégia de controle proposta Abstract: This work introduces an Energy Management strategy, for electrical vehicle applications, based on a fuzzy logic supervisory system that is able to combine three different power supply sources, i. e., fuel cell, battery and supercapacitor. The supervisory system coordinates the power flow between the power sources so that the system is able to provide high power quality, which is needed to achieve the desirable dynamic performance of the propulsion system. The proposed energy management strategy of a multiple input power electronic converter takes advantage of the individual characteristics of each power sou rce and makes than operate atthe best operation region. Through adequate power sources arrangements and use of the available resources, the fuel cell size is reduced. In addition, the power sources¿ life time and the system ride-through at sudden load disturbances are increased.
