    Trabalho final de Mestrado para a obtenção de grau de Mestre em Engenharia da Qualidade e Ambiente As empresas e organizações cada vez mais se encontram expostas a riscos que podem ter impacto na sua sobrevivência a curto, médio e longo-prazo. Assim, é necessário que sejam capazes de efetuar uma abordagem holística ao risco e à sustentabilidade da sua cadeia de negócios. Cada vez mais as empresas e organizações procuram preparar-se para os riscos a que estão expostas, tentando mitigar, responder e recuperar a eventos inesperados com consequências a níveis económicos, sociais, ambientais, geopolíticos e tecnológicos, tentando ser mais resilientes. A norma ISO 22301 tem um papel bastante importante, para que as empresas e organizações possam planear a continuidade dos seus negócios, no que diz respeito à ocorrência de eventos disruptivos e inesperados nas suas cadeias de negócios. Durante a fase da pandemia da COVID-19 e agora mais recentemente com o conflito entre a Rússia e Ucrânia as empresas depararam-se com eventos que podem colocar em causa a sua continuidade nos seus negócios. Desta forma, foi realizado estudo que pretende fazer o levantamento, ao nível dos riscos a que as empresas e organizações estão expostas, nomeadamente a empresas do ramo automóvel, sendo um dos ramos mais afetados durante e pós-pandemia. Companies and organizations are increasingly exposed to risks that can impact their survival in the short, medium and long term. Therefore, they need to be able to take a holistic approach to the risk and sustainability of their business chain. More and more companies and organizations seek to prepare for the risks to which they are exposed, trying to mitigate, respond and recover from unexpected events with consequences at economic, social, environmental, geopolitical and technological levels, trying to be more resilient. The standard ISO 22301 has a very important role, for companies and organizations to plan the continuity of their business, regarding the occurrence of disruptive and unexpected events in their business chains. During the phase of the COVID-19 pandemic and now more recently with the conflict between Russia and Ukraine, companies faced events that could endanger their continuity in their business. In this way, a study was carried out that aims to survey, at the level of the risks to which companies and organizations are exposed, namely to companies in the automotive industry, being one of the most affected branches during and post-pandemic N/A

    Dissertação de Mestrado Integrado em Arquitetura apresentada à Faculdade de Ciências e Tecnologia A dissertação de mestrado aqui apresentada foi desenvolvida a partir do tema B da cadeira de Seminário de Investigação do ano letivo 2020/2021 com o título “Cabo do Mundo 21: Projeto para uma Cidade Urgente, pensar na arquitetura da cidade post. COVID + post. OIL”. Este tema surgiu da necessidade de repensar a forma como as cidades são vividas e utilizadas e, seguidamente, materializar essa investigação num lugar muito marcado pelo aproveitamento das energias fósseis: a Refinaria de Leça da Palmeira.O tema propõe a reabilitação do espaço ocupado por esta refinaria, imaginando a sua extinção até ao ano de 2050 (ano-objetivo para a “neutralidade carbónica” em Portugal), atribuindo-lhe novas funções com o intuito de proporcionar uma nova vida e imagem a este local tão marcado pela forte industrialização da segunda metade do século XX.A partir desta temática foi necessário realizar várias análises a diferentes níveis tanto da zona ocupada pela refinaria, como também da freguesia de Leça da Palmeira e do concelho de Matosinhos para melhor compreender como abordar este território.Este exercício prático foi produzido em três fases: de turma, de grupo e individual. Na primeira foi desenvolvida uma estratégia geral de intervenção e foram definidos os pontos mais importantes a seguir por todos os alunos, para criar uma coesão geral no projeto. Já na segunda, foi feita uma aproximação a uma parte deste território, onde se deu continuidade a malhas industriais existentes adicionando novos volumes e espaços verdes para as consolidar. Foi então na terceira fase que se desenvolveu o projeto individual sobre a apropriação de dois quarteirões existentes na malha industrial para a sua reestruturação e criação de um centro criativo.Sendo assim, este trabalho de reabilitação tem sempre associado os temas da descarbonização do planeta, da adaptação a situações mais extremas de saúde global (como é o caso da pandemia do COVID-19) e da transformação da vida urbana num quadro mais sustentável tanto a nível ecológico como também económico, tal como esperado dentro de poucas décadas. The master thesis presented in this document was developed based on the theme B proposed in the lecture Research Seminar of the academic year 2020/2021 entitled “Cabo do Mundo 21: Project for an Urgent City, thinking about the architecture of the post. COVID + post. OIL city”. This theme surfaced from the need to rethink the way cities are lived and utilized and, after that, to materialize that research in a place that is very iconic of the times that are being lived right now, dominated by fossil fuels: the Refinery of Leça da Palmeira.The theme proposes the rehabilitation of the area occupied by this refinery, considering its extinction until 2050 (year-objective for the “carbon neutrality” in Portugal), creating new functions with the goal of giving a new life and appearance to this place that is so characterized by the uncontrolled industrialization of the 20th century. Based on this idea and to better understand how to approach this region, it was necessary to develop several analyses at different levels of the area of the refinery, Leça da Palmeira and the municipality of Matosinhos.This project was produced in three steps: class, group and individual. In the first step it was developed a general intervention strategy and were defined the most important aspects to follow by all the students to create a general cohesion in the project as a whole. In the second one the work was focused on a section of the terrain, where the existent industrial grids were redesigned while creating new volumes and green spaces. In the third and last step it was developed the individual project about the adaptation of two existent industrial blocks and its restructuring to house a new creative center.Finally, this rehabilitation project is always associated with the need of decarbonizing the world, the adaptation to more extreme global health issues (like the COVID-19 pandemic) and the transformation of the urban lifestyle into one more sustainable, both ecologically and economically, as it should be in a few decades.

    Authors: Fernandes, Ricardo Figueiredo Atayde;

    As preocupações com a segurança energética e alimentar estão patentes em diversas políticas europeias e internacionais, que reforçam a importância de acelerar e financiar a transição energética através da implementação de tecnologias de baixo carbono, com os objetivos de neutralidade carbónica e de reduzir os efeitos das alterações climáticas na agricultura. No entanto, para a concretização destes objetivos, torna-se necessário entender a aceitação social da descarbonização do setor agroalimentar e dimensões sociopsicológicas associadas. Neste sentido, esta investigação contribui para uma primeira exploração das representações da imprensa escrita em Portugal sobre a descarbonização deste setor, considerando que os media são um dos principais atores nas sociedades contemporâneas responsáveis pela co-construção e transformação de representações sociais e mudanças sociais relacionadas. Através de uma análise temática, este trabalho examina artigos (N=102) de cinco jornais portugueses (Público, Jornal de Negócios, Observador, Jornal Económico e Correio da Manhã), selecionados entre o período de 1 de fevereiro de 2021 e 30 de junho de 2022. As análises revelam a pouca discussão e disseminação das questões de descarbonização do setor agroalimentar na imprensa nacional. O discurso sobre as questões de descarbonização é essencialmente abafado pelas crises da atualidade (i.e., pandemia covid-19, seca extrema e a invasão da Ucrânia pela Rússia) e a relação entre energia e o setor agroalimentar é maioritariamente apresentada com foco na dimensão económica (vs. Ambiental e social), nos grandes produtores e a nível nacional (vs. Regional e local). The concern regarding energy and food security is evident in several European and international policies, which reinforces the importance of accelerating and financing the energy transition through the implementation of low-carbon technologies, with the goals of carbon neutrality and reducing the effects of climate change in agriculture. However, to achieve these goals, it is necessary to understand the social acceptance of the decarbonisation of the agri-food sector and associated socio-psychological dimensions. In a sense, this research contributes to a first exploration of the representations of the written press in Portugal around the decarbonisation in the sector; considering that the media are one of the main players in contemporary societies responsible for the co-construction and transformation of social representations and related social changes. Through a thematic analysis, this work examines articles (N=102) from five Portuguese newspapers (Público, Jornal de Negócios, Observador, Jornal Económico and Correio da Manhã), selected between the period of February 1, 2021, and June 30 from 2022. The analysis reveals little discussion and dissemination of decarbonisation issues in the agri-food sector in the national press. The discourse on decarbonisation issues is essentially drowned out by current crises (i.e., the covid-19 pandemic, extreme drought, and the invasion of Ukraine by Russia). The relationship between energy and the agri-food sector is mostly presented with a focus on the economic dimension (vs. Environmental and social), in large producers and national level (vs. Regional and local).

    Authors: Júnior, Marconi Albuquerque Carneiro;

    A concentração das populações nas cidades se mostra uma tendência mundial com repercussões não só na escala local como também global. A expansão urbana com origem nesta realidade, se feita sem planejamento e gestão, gera uma série de externalidades que afetam a qualidade de vidas de seus habitantes não só no presente, como também para o futuro das próximas gerações. Cidades sustentáveis terão melhores chances de enfrentar os desafios advindos do seu próprio crescimento e proporcionar mais felicidade aos seus moradores do amanhã. A mobilidade urbana também deve ser sustentável para que este intento seja alcançado conciliando necessidades e interesses nas perspectivas do meio ambiente, da justiça social e prosperidade econômica. Ganha destaque a avaliação sistemática das estratégias adotadas para corrigir desvios de trajetória à sustentabilidade. Neste ponto, o uso de indicadores e índices possuem comprovada capacidade de avaliar políticas públicas e apoiar a tomada de decisão nos níveis estratégico e tático da administração das urbes, além de gerar conhecimento útil à melhoria contínua. Assim, este trabalho de pesquisa traz uma metodologia para obter um índice de mobilidade urbana sustentável que seja prático, para favorecer sua incorporação por vários municípios; universal, para assegurar a sua aplicabilidade em cidades de diversos contextos; abrangente, para mensurar os diversos aspectos da sustentabilidade aplicada aos transportes urbanos e seus serviços; e objetivo, para comunicar com diversos públicos. Desta forma, o alvo maior foi o de avaliar a mobilidade urbana de Brasília, na perspectiva macro estabelecendo o grau de sustentabilidade do seu sistema em nível estratégico, por meio da consolidação de um conjunto bem sedimentado de indicadores no Índice de Mobilidade Urbana Sustentável para Brasília (IMUSB). A opção pela Capital brasileira deveu-se ao fato de ser a cidade onde o Autor atua na área da mobilidade urbana e em consequência das restrições à continuidade da investigação em Lisboa/Pt por ocasião da pandemia da COVID-19. A aplicação do IMUSB em Brasília revelou forças e fraquezas de seu sistema de mobilidade urbana, coerente com a realidade observada. Além de repercutir a vocação rodoviarista de Brasília, o IMUSB confirmou que a produção de dados e divulgação de informações é o principal obstáculo a ser superado para a avaliação da mobilidade urbana sustentável. A ferramenta de avaliação está pronta, mas os gestores públicos devem liderar o processo de produção, integração e disponibilização de informações para que o Índice de Mobilidade Urbana Sustentável para Brasília sirva com orientador da busca de cidades melhores e mais sustentáveis. The concentration of populations in cities is a global trend with repercussions not only on a local scale but also on a global scale. Urban expansion arising from this reality, if carried out without planning and management, generates a series of externalities that affect the quality of life of its inhabitants not only in the present, but also for the future of the next generations. Sustainable cities will have better chances to face the challenges arising from their own growth and provide more happiness to their residents of tomorrow. Urban mobility must also be sustainable so that this intent is achieved by reconciling needs and interests in the perspectives of the environment, social justice, and economic prosperity. The systematic evaluation of the strategies adopted to correct deviations from the trajectory towards sustainability is highlighted. At this point, the use of indicators and indices have proven ability to assess public policies and support decision-making at the strategic and tactical levels of urban administration, in addition to generating useful knowledge for continuous improvement. Thus, this research work brings a methodology to obtain a practical sustainable urban mobility index, to support its incorporation by several municipalities; universal, to ensure its applicability in cities of different contexts; comprehensive, to measure the various aspects of sustainability applied to urban transport and its services; and objective, to communicate with different audiences. Thus, the main objective was to assess Brasília's urban mobility, from a macro perspective, establishing the degree of sustainability of its system at a strategic level, through the consolidation of a well-established set of indicators in the Sustainable Urban Mobility Index for Brasília (IMUSB). The option for the Brazilian capital was because it is the city where the author works around urban mobility and because of restrictions to the continuity of the investigation in Lisbon/PT due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The application of the IMUSB in Brasília revealed strengths and weaknesses of its urban mobility system, consistent with the observed reality. In addition to reflecting Brasília's vocation for road transport, the IMUSB confirmed that the production of data and dissemination of information is the main obstacle to be overcome for the assessment of sustainable urban mobility. The assessment tool is ready, but public managers must lead the process of production, integration, and availability of information so that the Sustainable Urban Mobility Index for Brasília can serve as a guide in the search for better and more sustainable cities.

    Authors: Mendeiros, Cláudia Isabel da Silva;

    A presente dissertação tem o intuito de compreender qual o perfil atual dos clientes de eventos e reuniões corporate no Concelho de Cascais, na perspetiva dos organizadores, de forma a averiguar qual o padrão de procura e atitude dos clientes face a três tendências atuais. O estudo iniciou-se com a pesquisa das características dos clientes corporativos durante o processo de compra e planeamento, assim como os seus cargos e funções. Além deste aspeto, desenvolveu-se o estudo do seu perfil relativamente à sua atitude face a três tendências globais atuais: a sustentabilidade, os eventos híbridos e online, e a diversidade e inclusão. Por último, focou-se na análise da evolução e mudança do perfil no contexto temporal pré e pós 2020 (pandemia Covid-19). Para o efeito, para além da pesquisa efetuada através da revisão de literatura, foram realizadas entrevistas a organizadores de eventos corporativos de diversas unidades hoteleiras e espaços de eventos no Concelho de Cascais, assim como a organizadores que trabalham em empresas de eventos responsáveis por eventos corporativos que ocorrem em diversos locais no Concelho de Cascais. Através da análise de resultados verifica-se que atualmente o perfil do cliente corporativo no Concelho de Cascais define-se por um conjunto de características diversificadas, com um aumento de interesse por práticas de sustentabilidade, diversidade e inclusão, no entanto ainda com uma expressão bastante reduzida, e com uma valorização atual pelos eventos híbridos, como complemento aos eventos presenciais. Destaca-se também o impacto que a pandemia Covid-19 e as consequentes restrições tiveram na evolução e mudança do perfil, tais como o aumento da importância da flexibilidade nas condições de contratação dos serviços, preocupação relativamente às medidas sanitárias e a procura de espaços exteriores. This dissertation aims to understand the current profile of the buyers of corporate events and meetings in the Cascais Municipality, from the organizers' perspective, to ascertain the pattern of customer demand and attitude towards three current trends. The study began with the research of the characteristics of corporate clients during the buying and planning process, as well as their job roles and responsibilities. Was also developed a study of their profile regarding their attitude towards three current global trends: sustainability, hybrid and online events, and diversity and inclusion. Finally, was analyzed the evolution and change of the profile in the temporal context pre and post 2020 (Covid-19 pandemic). In addition to the research carried out through the literature review, interviews were conducted with corporate event organizers from several hotel units and event venues in the Municipality of Cascais, as well as organizers working in event companies responsible for corporate events that take place in various locations in the Municipality of Cascais. After analyzing the results of the interviews, it is possible to verify that the profile of corporate clients in the Municipality of Cascais is currently defined by a set of diversified characteristics, with a growing awareness towards sustainability, diversity and inclusion practices, although still with a very small dimension, and with a current interest for hybrid events, as a complement to face-to-face events. It is also possible to highlight the impact that the Covid-19 pandemic and the consequent restrictions had in the evolution and change of the profile, such as the increased importance of flexibility in the conditions of contracting services, concern about sanitary measures and the demand for outdoor spaces.

    Mestrado Bolonha em Economia Internacional e Estudos Europeus A Economia Circular enquanto modelo disruptivo face ao paradigma da linearidade em economia, apresenta um impacto positivo quanto à utilização e manutenção dos recursos por mais tempo no processo produtivo. Este é um aspeto essencial uma vez que os recursos são cada vez mais limitados devido à degradação das condições ambientais e alterações climáticas que assolam todo o Mundo e têm efeitos preocupantes na economia. Assim, a implementação dos princípios associados à circularidade tem vindo a ser cada vez mais uma prioridade ao nível da União Europeia e, também, ao nível dos diferentes países. Através da substituição do conceito de “fim-de-vida” dos produtos, por um sistema industrial restaurador, que promova a restauração dos resíduos, mudanças quanto ao uso de energias renováveis e de materiais tóxicos terá um impacto importante nos modelos de negócios. Neste sentido, os incentivos financeiros a esta área têm vindo a aumentar e a COVID-19 só feio aprofundar a importância da adoção destes princípios para uma recuperação económica mais resiliente. Esta sem sido uma preocupação transversal a todos os setores, como é o caso do setor dos produtos resinosos e seus derivados, em Portugal, dada a relevância do mesmo para a sustentabilidade da fileira florestal e do respetivo ecossistema. A Economia Circular enquanto estratégia para uma Europa mais verde evidencia sem dúvida, uma oportunidade de desenvolvimento dos sistemas produtivos em termos de eficiência e impacto no ambiente. Esta dissertação pretende explorar esta estratégia e analisar a forma como a União Europeia tem vindo promover a implementação da mesma, através dos seus apoios dedicados, estudando o caso da circularidade económica no setor dos produtos resinosos e seus derivados, em Portugal. The Circular Economy as a disruptive model against the linearity paradigm in economics, has a positive impact on the use and maintenance of resources for longer in the production process. This is an essential aspect since resources are increasingly limited due to the degradation of environmental conditions and climate change that plague the world and have worrying effects on the economy. Thus, the implementation of the principles associated with circularity has become an increasing priority at the European Union level and at the level country level. By replacing the concept of "end-of-life" products, by a restorative industrial system that promotes the restoration of waste, changes in the use of renewable energy and toxic materials will have an important impact on business models. In this sense, financial incentives to this area have been increasing and COVID19 has only deepened the importance of adopting these principles for a more resilient economic recovery. This has been a concern across all sectors, as is the case of the sector of the resin products and its derivatives in Portugal, given its relevance to the sustainability of the forestry industry and its ecosystem. The Circular Economy as a strategy for a greener Europe undoubtedly shows an opportunity to develop production systems in terms of efficiency and impact on the environment. This dissertation aims to explore this strategy and analyze how the European Union has been promoting its implementation through its dedicated support, studying the case of economic circularity in the sector of resin products and its derivatives in Portugal. info:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersion

    Given the existing environmental problems, working with Environmental Education in Early Childhood Education is essential to awaken in children the interest about nature and promote the transformation of values. The Environmental Education proposal delimited here was applied in the municipal pre-school system of Uberlândia - MG, as an alternative to, initially, bring awareness to a group of 18 chidren, aged from 2 to 4 years old, as well as their families regarding the preservation of the natural resources, especially in relation to the themes of Water and Ecological Footprint. This research was carried out through a qualitative approach, using action research as a method, in which the child and the family actively participate as researched and researchers in the entire project. The chidren and their families participated in both the remote teaching modality, due to the pandemic caused by Covid-19, as well as the face- to-face teaching modality. From previous diagnosis of chidren’s Knowledge about the topics covered in the research applied in the investigated group, several pedagogical strategies were adopted: chidren’s educational videos on the themes, storytelling through theater and book reading, music, dance, games and surveys applied in the form of images, all based on action research and with a content-rationalist educational approach. The proposals applied aimed at raising consciousness among chidren and their family members regarding pollution, contamination, water importance and its waste, focusing on its usage in daily activities and diseases related to it. The analysis of the results revealed that motivating pedagogical strategies are potential for raising awareness among students, but that they must become continuous to reinforce the environmental problem of the water crisis that devastates the world, as well as to establish in these individuals and their families the notion of conscious consumption. ; Pesquisa sem auxílio de agências de fomento ; Dissertação (Mestrado) ; Diante dos problemas ...

    Diante do cenário global da gestão de resíduos sólidos, observa-se que apesar de possuirmos plásticos com alta capacidade de reaproveitamento, eles não são orientados para os melhores destinos e com a evolução e aperfeiçoamento dos processos, a demanda e produção destes produtos só aumentou, com isso observa-se o acúmulo de resíduos sólidos gerando diversos impactos ambientais. Observando esse cenário, e o senso de urgência expresso pelas organizações mundiais nos últimos anos, muitas empresas passaram a adotar medidas de economia circular nos seus processos produtivos e internos, com o objetivo de diminuir os impactos ambientais causados. Por meio dos resultados obtidos foi possível analisar que as principais empresas do setor apresentam poucos resultados significativos para uma avaliação qualitativa dos indicadores de sustentabilidade. Com isso observa-se que a realização de investimentos em sustentabilidade traz aumento de lucro significativo a um longo prazo. Analisando-se os dados de reciclagem obtido principalmente nos últimos 3 anos tem-se que a mudança de consumo de embalagens em decorrência da COVID-19 gerou um aumento expressivo de resíduos e em sua maioria plásticos. Entretanto, esse aumento não foi devidamente controlado pelas gestões municipais devido à falta de recursos. Fica evidente que no país a gestão de resíduos sólidos ainda é muito ineficaz sendo um dos principais locais de destino os lixões que causam sérios problemas ambientais. ; Because of the global scenario of solid waste management, it is observed that despite having plastics with high reuse capacity they are not directed to the best destinations, and with the evolution and improvement of processes, the demand and production of these products have only increased, and with this we observe the accumulation of solid waste generating various environmental impacts. Observing this scenario, and the sense of urgency expressed by global organizations in recent years, many companies have started to adopt circular economy measures in their ...

    Authors: Farias, Alcileia Sena de;

    As mudanças climáticas têm levado algumas indústrias a investir em novas pesquisas e tecnologias para a produção de energia a partir de fontes renováveis, como, por exemplo, a energia eólica, solar e hidroelétrica. Muito devido à sua localização geográfica, a região do Nordeste do Brasil tem grandes investidores no setor da energia eólica (energia produzida a partir da força e da frequência do vento), contudo, durante a construção dos parques eólicos, não existe uma obrigatoriedade, segundo a legislação brasileira, de utilizar investimento em projetos de responsabilidade social com a comunidade local. A instalação dessas empresas traz oportunidades de emprego e rendimento para as famílias, porém, após a conclusão das obras e do início da operacionalização, as ações em benefícios a comunidade já não são realizadas com frequência. O principal objetivo do presente trabalho é conhecer os impactos dos projetos que foram desenvolvidos pelas empresas de energias renováveis em três escolas públicas na cidade de Trairi-CE. Como critério metodológico, foram aplicados 2 inquéritos com questões objetivas e subjetivas em março de 2021, destinados à comunidade (gestores, professores, funcionários e pais de alunos) e aos colaboradores (Chief Finance Officer, gestores e coordenadores) das empresas de energias renováveis instaladas no município de Trairi. A plataforma eletrónica “Google Forms” foi utilizada como ferramenta de aplicação desses questionários, permitindo alcançar os diferentes públicos, contudo, as regras de distanciamento social e sanitárias, resultante da pandemia COVID-19, e o facto de algumas pessoas, principalmente o público “comunidade” não terem facilidade de acesso à internet e também em acompanhar certas medias digitais, o número baixo de respostas deste público resultou em apenas 87 pessoas. Relativamente às razões que levam as empresas a investir em práticas de responsabilidade social, 72,7% dos inquiridos afirmam tratar-se de exigências das Instituições Financeiras. O mesmo percentual de respondentes apontou ter como principal dificuldade em implementar ações sociais a falta de estrutura institucional ou administrativa dos beneficiários, seguida pela falta de plano de continuidade e manutenção por partes dos mesmos (45,5% dos inquiridos). Cerca de 45,5% dos participantes afirmaram que o Projeto Educação (Construção de estrutura física, doação de equipamentos de informática e/ou formação sobre didática educacional e pedagógica) e o Projeto Saúde na escola (odontológica) foram os que geraram mais impacto na comunidade. Para o público da comunidade, cerca de 96,3% revelam que as ações das empresas beneficiaram a população e que o nível de melhoria indicado por 51,9% dos participantes foi alto. Já para 42% dos participantes, a perceção de melhoria foi de relevância média e apenas 6,1% consideram baixa ou quase insignificante. Globalmente, as empresas realizam projetos na área da responsabilidade principalmente por das “instituições” financeiras, e somente acontece durante a construção do empreendimento. Há fatores que mostram que os investimentos em práticas de responsabilidade social não se dão pela da cultura da empresa e/ou de forma voluntária, também não possuem políticas de acompanhamento dos resultados, levando assim à rotura da relação com a comunidade e da total conclusão dos projetos implementados. Climate change has led some industries to invest in new research and technologies for the production of energy from renewable sources, such as wind, solar and hydroelectric energy. Much due to its geographic location, the Northeast region of Brazil has large investors in the wind energy sector (energy produced from the strength and frequency of the wind), however, during the construction of wind farms, there is no obligation, according to Brazilian legislation, to use investment in social responsibility projects with the local community. The installation of these companies brings job and income opportunities for the families, however, after the completion of the works and the beginning of the operation, actions to benefit the community are no longer carried out frequently. The main objective of this work is to know the impacts of projects that were developed by renewable energy companies in three public schools in the city of Trairi-CE. As a methodological criterion, 2 surveys with objective and subjective questions were applied in March 2021, aimed at the community (managers, teachers, employees and parents of students) and employees (Chief Finance Officer, managers and coordinators) of the installed renewable energy companies in the municipality of Trairi. The electronic platform “Google Forms” was used as a tool to apply these questionnaires, allowing to reach different audiences, however, the rules of social and health distance, resulting from the COVID-19 pandemic, and the fact that some people, mainly the public “community” do not have easy access to the internet and also to follow certain digital media, the low number of responses from this audience resulted in only 87 people. Regarding the reasons that lead companies to invest in social responsibility practices, 72.7% of respondents say that these are requirements of Financial Institutions. The same percentage of respondents indicated that the main difficulty in implementing social actions was the lack of institutional or administrative structure of the beneficiaries, followed by the lack of a continuity and maintenance plan by their parts (45.5% of respondents). About 45.5% of the participants stated that the Education Project (Construction of a physical structure, donation of computer equipment and/or training in educational and pedagogical teaching) and the Health Project at School (dental) were the ones that generated the most impact on community. For the community audience, around 96.3% reveal that the companies' actions benefited the population and that the level of improvement indicated by 51.9% of the participants was high. For 42% of the participants, the perception of improvement was of medium relevance and only 6.1% considered it low or almost insignificant. Globally, companies carry out projects in the area of responsibility mainly for the financial “instructions”, and this only happens during the construction of the project. There are factors that show that investments in social responsibility practices are not based on the company's culture and/or on a voluntary basis, they also do not have results monitoring policies, thus leading to the rupture of the relationship with the community and the total conclusion of the projects implemented.

    Authors: Santos, Ana Beatriz de Almeida;

    A presente tese de mestrado visa a compreensão do impacto do turismo massificado e da sustentabilidade no setor da reabilitação de edifícios na freguesia de Cedofeita, localizada na cidade do Porto, entre o período de 2015 e 2020. Em uma primeira fase, destacou-se a importância da compreensão dos conceitos internacionais de conservação, reabilitação e restauro de forma a obter um bom alicerce para compreender como tem sido feita a reabilitação de edifícios históricos e de edifícios comuns. Diante do cenário apresentado, o objetivo geral desta investigação é apresentar uma leitura integrada dos tópicos que envolvem a reabilitação, o turismo de massas e a sustentabilidade. A partir desse cenário, abordou-se a reabilitação urbana predominante em uma das maiores cidades portuguesas, o Porto. Em uma primeira fase, analisou-se o impacto negativo e positivo do turismo massificado no Porto entre 2015 e 2020, ocasionando os fenômenos da turistificação e aceleração da gentrificação. Salientou-se a relação do turismo com a reabilitação e de como os reflexos desta união afetam a economia. O setor imobiliário a longo, médio e curto prazo assumiu grande importância no contexto turístico. Devido a esse fator, empresas como o Airbnb, que pertence ao ramo do alojamento, e a Idealista, que pertence ao setor imobiliário, ganharam maior evidência no setor imobiliário habitacional portuense. Em um segundo momento, a pesquisa teve como foco a análise do impacto da situação pandémica provocada pelo COVID-19, tendo como base especificamente os edifícios históricos e comuns reabilitados na região de Cedofeita. Empresas como a Remax e a Era já existiam independentemente do turismo, mas também contribuíram com o crescimento do setor imobiliário. Relata-se também o impacto da pandemia COVID-19 no ano de 2020 e 2021 que afetou o turismo de forma extraordinária e sem precedentes. Posteriormente, propõe-se uma reflexão sobre a implementação da sustentabilidade na reabilitação edilícia no contexto específico do Porto. Os países pertencentes à União Europeia, em 2019, assinaram o Pacto Ecológico Europeu que visa atingir a neutralidade carbônica até 2050. Face ao acordo, estão sendo elaboradas medidas específicas em cada país de forma a atingir o objetivo. Nesta etapa foi apontado o conceito de Economia Circular e os seus efeitos na economia portuguesa, bem como as vantagens da implementação da tecnologia BIM aplicada à sustentabilidade edilícia. O BIM é uma tecnologia que contribuído com o alcance da sustentabilidade na reabilitação de edifícios do Porto. A fim de que seja proposta uma análise dos edifícios reabilitados no Porto, foi feito um recorte geográfico e temporal, tendo-se selecionado os edifícios pertencentes à freguesia de Cedofeita, reabilitados de 2015 a 2020 como caso de estudo. This master's thesis aims to understand the impact of mass tourism and sustainability in the sector of rehabilitation of buildings in the parish of Cedofeita, located in the city of Porto, between 2015 and 2020. In a first stage we tried to highlight the understanding of international concepts of conservation, rehabilitation and restoration in order to obtain a good basis to identify how the rehabilitation of historic buildings and common buildings has been carried out. Given the scenario presented, the general objective of this investigation is to outline an integrated reading of the topics that involve rehabilitation, mass tourism and sustainability. Accordingly, an approach to the predominant urban rehabilitation in one of the largest Portuguese citie as Porto, was made In a first phase the negative and positive impact of mass tourism causing the phenomena of touristification and acceleration of gentrification, in Porto, between 2015 and 2020 was analyzed, The relationship between tourism and rehabilitation was highlighted as the effects of the gathering of these two issues affect the economy. The long, medium and short term real estate sector has assumed great importance in the tourism context. Due to this factor, companies such as Airbnb, which belongs to the accommodation sector, and Idealista, which belongs to the real estate sector, gained greater evidence in the Porto housing real estate sector. In a second moment, the research focused on analyzing the impact of the pandemic situation caused by COVID-19, specifically based on the historic and common buildings rehabilitated in the Cedofeita region. Companies like Remax and Era already existed independently of mass tourism, but they also contributed to the growth of the real estate sector. The impact of the COVID-19 pandemic in the year 2020 and 2021 is also reported, as a factor that affected tourism in an extraordinary and unprecedented way. Subsequently, a reflection on the implementation of sustainability in building rehabilitation in the specific context of Porto is proposed. The countries belonging to the European Union, in 2019, signed the European Ecological Pact, which aims to achieve carbon neutrality by 2050. In view of the agreement, specific measures are being prepared in each country in order to achieve the goal. At this stage, the concept of the Circular Economy and its effects on the Portuguese economy were pointed out, as well as the advantages of implementing BIM technology applied to building sustainability. BIM is a technology that has contributed to achieving sustainability in the rehabilitation of buildings in Porto. In order to propose an analysis of the rehabilitated buildings in Porto, a geographical and temporal framework was made, having selected the buildings belonging to the parish of Cedofeita, rehabilitated from 2015 to 2020 as a case study.

    Trabalho final de Mestrado para a obtenção de grau de Mestre em Engenharia da Qualidade e Ambiente As empresas e organizações cada vez mais se encontram expostas a riscos que podem ter impacto na sua sobrevivência a curto, médio e longo-prazo. Assim, é necessário que sejam capazes de efetuar uma abordagem holística ao risco e à sustentabilidade da sua cadeia de negócios. Cada vez mais as empresas e organizações procuram preparar-se para os riscos a que estão expostas, tentando mitigar, responder e recuperar a eventos inesperados com consequências a níveis económicos, sociais, ambientais, geopolíticos e tecnológicos, tentando ser mais resilientes. A norma ISO 22301 tem um papel bastante importante, para que as empresas e organizações possam planear a continuidade dos seus negócios, no que diz respeito à ocorrência de eventos disruptivos e inesperados nas suas cadeias de negócios. Durante a fase da pandemia da COVID-19 e agora mais recentemente com o conflito entre a Rússia e Ucrânia as empresas depararam-se com eventos que podem colocar em causa a sua continuidade nos seus negócios. Desta forma, foi realizado estudo que pretende fazer o levantamento, ao nível dos riscos a que as empresas e organizações estão expostas, nomeadamente a empresas do ramo automóvel, sendo um dos ramos mais afetados durante e pós-pandemia. Companies and organizations are increasingly exposed to risks that can impact their survival in the short, medium and long term. Therefore, they need to be able to take a holistic approach to the risk and sustainability of their business chain. More and more companies and organizations seek to prepare for the risks to which they are exposed, trying to mitigate, respond and recover from unexpected events with consequences at economic, social, environmental, geopolitical and technological levels, trying to be more resilient. The standard ISO 22301 has a very important role, for companies and organizations to plan the continuity of their business, regarding the occurrence of disruptive and unexpected events in their business chains. During the phase of the COVID-19 pandemic and now more recently with the conflict between Russia and Ukraine, companies faced events that could endanger their continuity in their business.     Authors: Vilarinho, Álvaro Miguel Gonçalves;

    Authors: Fernandes, Ricardo Figueiredo Atayde;

    Authors: Júnior, Marconi Albuquerque Carneiro;

    Authors: Mendeiros, Cláudia Isabel da Silva;

    Authors: Moura, Wanessa Santos;

    Authors: Farias, Alcileia Sena de;

    Authors: Santos, Ana Beatriz de Almeida;
