    http://sherpa.ac.uk/romeo/issn/2007-9753/ El objetivo principal de esta investigación, se enfoca en el estudio de las propiedades de adsorción/desorción de CH4 en los yacimientos de gas asociado al carbón, los cuales se ubican en la porción noreste de México, con el fin de comprender su comportamiento desde el punto de vista de los yacimientos no convencionales. Para continuar con el desarrollo de este proyecto, se llevó a cabo una campaña de muestreo a cargo del Servicio Geológico Mexicano (SGM), el cual nos proporcionó 7 muestras de carbón bituminoso, procedentes de la Cuenca de Sabinas para su caracterización. La caracterización general incluyó: (1) Análisis inmediatos o primarios de humedad y ceniza, (2) Análisis elemental para la determinación de (C, H, O, N, y S), (3) Análisis petrográfico para determinar el tipo de materia orgánica, (4) Pirolisis Rock-Eval®6 para conocer su potencial petrolífero. El conjunto de estos análisis nos permitieron evaluar las muestras para desarrollar mediante “Isotermas de Langmuir” los ensayos de adsorción/desorción de CH4 y la interpretación de los parámetros que influyen en el proceso de adsorción. Para el desarrollo de las pruebas de adsorción/desorción se utilizó la técnica termo-volumétrica, observando capacidades de almacenamiento de gas metano de 202.11 scf/ton (7.07m3/ton) a 364.76 scf/ton (10.47m3/ton). Estos resultados nos permitieron interpretar las características físicas y químicas que influyen en la capacidad de almacenamiento del gas en el carbón. Anticipando como conclusión general que: la adsorción del gas aumenta con el rango/madurez. También se estudió la influencia de la composición maceral en el proceso de sorción y se verificó que la capacidad de almacenamiento de gas está íntimamente relacionada al contenido de vitrinita. Esto nos condujo a retomar las declaraciones de algunos autores (Chalmers y Bustin, 2008; Zhang et al, 2012) quienes verificaron que la capacidad de adsorción en base al COT aumenta en el siguiente orden: tipo I < tipo II < tipo III. Esto se atribuyó a que la vitrinita tiene una mayor capacidad de adsorción, en comparación con otros tipos de macerales. The main objective of this research was to study the gas adsorption/desorption properties in Coal Bed Methane reservoirs located in the North-eastern Mexico, and to understand the behavior of unconventional reservoirs. The Servicio Geológico Mexicano (SGM) performed a sampling campaign. For the characterization, the SGM providing us 7 bituminous coal samples from the Sabinas Basin. The general characterization included: (1) immediate or primary moisture and ash analysis (2) elemental analysis for (C, H, O, N, and S) quantification, (3) petrographic analysis for organic matter type determination, (4) Rock-Eval®6 Pyrolysis, for oil potential generation determination. After results evaluation, 7 samples were selected, in order to develop adsorption/desorption CH4 tests by “Langmuir Isotherms” and to understand of parameters affecting the adsorption process. Using thermo-volumetric technique could be observed storage capacities of methane gas between 202.11 scf/ton (7.07m3/ton) and 364.76 scf/ton (10.47 m3/ton). The adsorption/desorption tests results, let us to identify the physical and chemical characteristics of the samples influencing the gas storage capacity in the coal. A general conclusion is given; the gas adsorption increases with the rank/maturity. Also, the influence of the maceral composition in the process of sorption is recognized, and the capacity of gas storage is closely related to the vitrinite content. According to Chalmers y Bustin (2008), and Zhang et al. (2012), the capacity of adsorption as TOC, increases in the next order: type I < type II < type III. Los proyectos deben necesariamente que incluir aspectos del clima, optimización de superficies de envolvente e integrar sistemas de energías renovables en la envolvente edilicia. Se presentan contenidos respecto del libro Arquitectura Bioclimática y Sustentable. En el mismo se incluyen métodos y técnicas simples que guían a los arquitectos desde el inicio del anteproyecto. La metodología resulta de fácil comprensión y su aplicación permite obtener datos importantes. El libro consta de 7 capítulos y 3 anexos. Estos abarcan desde la optimización de la superficie de envolvente, conocimiento de variables del clima (para 60 localidades de Argentina y Chile), sistemas pasivos de calefacción y enfriamiento y ejemplos construidos en el Centro Oeste de Argentina. ABSTRACT: On the road to sustainability, the energy demanded by buildings, whether during construction or operation, is predominant. Projects must necessarily include aspects of climate, optimization of envelope surfaces and integrating renewable energy systems into the building envelope. In this work of the book Bioclimatic and Sustainable Architecture are presented. It includes simple methods and techniques that guide architects from the beginning of the preliminary draft. The methodology is easy to understand and its application allows obtain important data. The book has 7 chapters and 3 annexes.     The following essay collects the activities developed by the trainee during the internship period in Ábrego Association, within the theorical context of rural depopulation in the province of Burgos, phenomena that is increasing in the Spanish countryside. The position of the association inside of the movement for rural development and “neorruralism” will be observed, as well as its influence in the region. Theory of rural society in modern times and its relationship with the “neorrural movement” will be studied. A detailed exposition of all the work realised during the internship is made, explaining the trainee implication in activities and events developed by Ábrego. O relatório detalha as atividades desenvolvidas pelo mestrando no seu estágio na Associação Ábrego, dentro do marco teórico do despovoamento rural na província de Burgos, fenómeno crescente no meio rural espanhol. É analisado o papel da associação no contexto do movimento pelo desenvolvimento rural e do “neorruralismo” e o seu impacto na região. As teorias modernas referidas á sociedade rural e sua relação com o movimento “neorrural” são igualmente estudadas.     Capítulo de livro En este trabajo se revisan los temas más importantes de las políticas públicas ambientales de Portugal durante el año 2021, así como la legislación más importante publicada durante ese mismo año, realizando una evaluación bastante positiva de los avances en determinadas materias, como son: la nueva ley sobre cambio climático y el régimen general de gestión de residuos. Sin embargo, existen otras en que se debería mejorar, como el aumento excesivo del regadío intensivo, o la deficiente aplicación de la compensación a los ciudadanos por el reciclaje de embalajes, así como la lentitud en el tratamiento apropiado para determinados flujos de residuos, como el textil, los productos eléctricos o electrónicos y los «biorresiduos». This work deals with the most important issues of the environmental public policies of Portugal during the year 2021, as well as legislation published during that same year. A fairly positive evaluation of progress in certain subjects is made, such as: the new law on climate change and the general waste management regime. However, there are some areas in which it should be improved, such as the excessive increase in intensive irrigation, or the poor application of compensation to citizens for recycling packaging, as well as the slowness in the appropriate treatment for certain waste streams, such as textiles, electrical or electronic products and "bio waste". info:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersion

    Publicação digital RESUMEN: Las microalgas pueden ser utilizadas para la recuperación de nutrientes contenidos en diversos efluentes, contribuyendo de esta forma a la mejora de la sostenibilidad de multitud de procesos. Sin embargo, para poder conseguir procesos eficientes es necesario evaluar con detalle cada aplicación en función de los efluentes que se van a procesar. Dependiendo del proceso, la biomasa algal obtenida puede tener interés para su aplicación en distintos sectores y productos finales con diferente valor añadido, i.e., farmacéutico, cosmético, agroalimentario-ganadero-acuícola, ambiental, químico o incluso energético. En el año 2019, varios grupos de investigación pertenecientes a diferentes países iberoamericanos junto con 6 empresas que trabajan con microalgas se unieron para solicitar al programa de Redes de la CYTED (Programa Iberoamericano de Ciencia y Tecnología para el Desarrollo; https://www.cyted.org/es/cyted) la creación de una red temática para el tratamiento de efluentes con microalgas. Las Redes Temáticas que subvenciona este organismo, son asociaciones de grupos de investigación y desarrollo (I+D) de entidades públicas o privadas y empresas de los países miembros del Programa CYTED, cuyas actividades científicas o tecnológicas están relacionadas dentro de un ámbito común de interés y enmarcadas en una de las Áreas del Programa. En nuestro caso, la red se solicitó por el área industrial. La red RENUWAL 320RT0005 fue concedida en esta convocatoria del 2019 para iniciarse en el año 2020 durante un periodo de 4 años que, con motivo de la Pandemia, se ha extendido hasta el 2024 (https://www.cyted.org/es/renuwal).     La sostenibilidad en la construcción y operación de edificaciones tiene como objetivo la reducción de los impactos ambientales y la utilización de recursos, así como la maximización de la utilidad y el retorno de inversión en el sector de la construcción. El propósito de este informe es optimizar el nivel de sostenibilidad de un edificio residencial multifamiliar en Portugal a través de la metodología SBToolPT-H. Esta metodología, es el resultado del trabajo desarrollado en la Universidad de Minho y el iiSBE Portugal, y su propósito fue desarrollar una metodología genérica para evaluar la sostenibilidad de un edificio nuevo, existente o renovado en zonas urbanas en Portugal, teniendo en cuenta las tres dimensiones de la sostenibilidad: ambiental, social y económica. Así mismo, esta metodología evalúa 25 parámetros asociados a los factores más relevantes que pueden afectar el medio ambiente y la salud humana, y esá dividida en las siguientes nueve categorías: C1 - Cambio climático y calidad del aire interior; C2 - Uso del suelo y biodiversidad; C3 – Eficiencia energética; C4 – Materiales y gestión de residuos; C5 – Eficiencia del agua; C6 – Confort y salud de los ocupantes; C7 – Accesibilidad; C8 – Educación y sensibilidad de la sostenibilidad; y C9 – Costos del ciclo de vida. El puntaje final de la sostenibilidad depende de la comparación del caso de estudio con la mejor práctica y la práctica convencional en cada uno de los parámetros evaluados. Adicionalmente, esta metodología, está dividida en cuatro fases que son la cuantificación del desempeño del edificio a nivel de cada indicador, la normalización de los parámetros, la agregación de los parámetros y el cálculo del puntaje final de sostenibilidad. Este trabajo presenta la evaluación y la optimización de la sostenibilidad de un edificio mediante la metodología SBToolPT-H, implementando mejoras en los parámetros más relevantes en el desempeño del edificio en estudio, que, como resultado, fueron los parámetros relacionados con el agua, la energía y los costos. Finalmente, en la fase de optimización se incorporaron paneles solares fotovoltaicos y un sistema SAAP, que consiguieron que el edificio pasara de un nivel de sostenibilidad de 0.28 a 0.48, y a nivel cualitativo subiera de una clase C a una clase B. Sustainability in building construction and operation aims at minimization of environmental impacts and resources utilization as well as maximization of utility and investment returns in the building sector. The purpose of this paper is to optimize the level of sustainability of a Multi-Dwelling building in Portugal through the SBToolPT-H methodology. The SBToolPT-H methodology is the result of the work developed in the University of Minho and the iiSBE Portugal, and its purpose was to develop a generic methodology to assess the sustainability of new, existence and renovated buildings in urban areas in Portugal, taking into account three dimensions: environmental, social, and economic. Furthermore, this methodology assesses 25 parameters associated with the most important factors that may affect the natural environment or human health and they are divided in nine sustainability categories: C1 – Climate change and outdoor air quality; C2 – Land use and biodiversity; C3 – Energy Efficiency; C4 – Materials and waste management; C5 – Water efficiency; C6 – Occupant’s health and comfort; C7 – Accessibilities; C8 – Education and awareness of sustainability; and C9 – Life-cycle costs. The final score of sustainability depends on the comparison of the case study with the best practice and the conventional practice in each one of the parameters that are assessed. In addition, this methodology is divided into four steps that are the quantification of performance of the building at the level of each indicator, the normalization of parameters, the aggregation of parameters and the sustainable score calculation and global assessment. This paper presents the assessment and optimization of the sustainability of a building using the SBToolPT-H methodology, implementing improvements alternatives in the most relevant aspects of the case building’s performance, and, as a result, were the parameters related to water resource, energy and costs. Finally, in the improvement phase, were incorporated photovoltaic panels and a SAAP system, that achieved increase the sustainable score of 0.28 to 0.48, and in a qualitative scale increase of Class C to Class B.     En este artículo se presenta la aplicación de un método psicométrico, el Modelo de Moralidad Intuitiva y Ejemplares – MIME, sobre una investigación en periodismo digital. El MIME combina la teoría de la psicología moral con teorías de influencia de los medios, para describir cómo las intuiciones morales del individuo se entrelazan con las narrativas morales de los medios. Para ello, han sido recopiladas y clasificadas 60 noticias sobre cambio climático de los diarios digitales con más lectores de Portugal. La muestra ha sido seleccionada entre noticias de 2017 a 2021, cuando ha habido eventos climáticos extremos en Portugal. Dicha metodología nos ha permitido identificar artículos con más de un valor moral, lo que ha generado una lista entre los más destacados, según extensión, diversidad léxica y cantidad de fuentes de información. The Intuitive and Exemplary Morality Model – MIME will be presented as a psychometric method applied in our research work on digital journalism. MIME combines moral psychology theory with media influence theories to describe how individual moral insights intertwine with media moral narratives. For this, 60 news on climate change has been collected and classified from digital newspapers with the most readers in Portugal. The sample has been selected from news from 2017 to 2021 when there have been extreme weather events in Portugal. This methodology has allowed us to identify articles with more than one moral value, which has generated a list among the most outstanding, according to length, lexical diversity, and number of information sources.

    El uso de fuentes de energía es imprescindible para el desarrollo social, económico y tecnológico, en los últimos años los combustibles fósiles como principal fuente energética ha generado graves problemas ambientales. Por esta razón, Instituciones gubernamentales y organizaciones en todo el mundo, promueven el uso de fuentes renovables como una alternativa eficiente y amigable con el medio ambiente. Con el fin de minimizar los impactos ambientales y preservar el medio ambiente, se han impulsado distintos proyectos e investigaciones; uno de los cuales es el Análisis de Ciclo de Vida (ACV) y la Huella de Carbono (HC), los cuales analizan la metodología y el cálculo de daños provocados al medio ambiente, ya sea por personas, empresas o servicios. El objetivo de un ACV es cuantificar los impactos generados por cualquier actividad, producto o servicio, mientras que la HC permite cuantificar y comparar en kgCO2 eq los impactos que producen los Gases de Efecto Invernadero (GEI). Este trabajo propone un ACV y HC al proceso de producción de electricidad a partir de biogás, el análisis se lleva a cabo en el relleno sanitario Pichacay, ubicado en la ciudad de Cuenca, Ecuador. Para el desarrollo de esta investigación se utilizó el software Simapro.8 el cual es una herramienta que permite realizar ACV y HC, mediante el ingreso de datos propios y/o el uso de su base de datos, en este caso se usaron datos provenientes de la Empresa Municipal de Aseo de Cuenca (EMAC EP), a la cual pertenece el proyecto de generación de electricidad a partir del biogás del relleno sanitario Pichacay, los sistemas estudiados en este proceso fueron, el transporte de residuos hasta el relleno, el sistema de extracción y tratamiento del biogás, equipo de generación de electricidad, y finalmente la subestación de transformación. Como resultado del estudio del ACV, se obtuvo que la mayor parte de impactos ambientales se produce en la etapa de transporte de residuos, debido a la cantidad de kilómetros que recorren los vehículos recolectores y de combustible usado en un año. Para el análisis de la huella de carbono, se empleó el método Greenhouse Gas Protocol V1.01 de Simapro, el mismo que mostró que el CO2 eq fósil, fue el que contribuyó en gran cantidad, esto debido al consumo de diésel por los camiones recolectores de basura. El análisis de éstas metodologías permitieron comprobar, que aparte del subsistema de transporte, se obtienen impactos o aspectos positivos asociados a la producción de electricidad mediante biogás, debido a que se evitan la emisión de GEI, en especial el metano (CH4) que es el gas que más contribuye al calentamiento global. Para este caso estudiado y debido a los resultados obtenidos se recomienda optimizar las rutas de recorrido de los recolectores de basura y /o cambiar el combustible por un biocombustible como el biodiesel que tiene mayores ventajas ambientales. En Ecuador aún no se han desarrollado suficientemente estas metodologías, motivo por el cual es importante que se realicen este tipo de estudios ya que a través de ellos podemos acercarnos y encaminarnos a una economía circular, púes ésta no pretende solamente responder a los desafíos globales como el cambio climático, la sostenibilidad y la preservación de la biodiversidad, sino que impulsa el uso consciente y eficiente de cada uno de los recursos, productos y/o servicios que necesitamos para desarrollarnos tanto económica como social y ambientalmente.

    En el presente artículo, se analiza, en primer lugar, la distancia entre lo que la gente dice y lo que la gente hace en relación con la sostenibilidad en su vida cotidiana; en segundo lugar, se intenta conectar este conocimiento con el diseño y la elaboración de políticas de sostenibilidad. Para ello, se ha escogido el caso de una muestra de comerciantes de la ciudad de Barcelona y su relación con las políticas que intentan promover la sostenibilidad en la ciudad (la Agenda 21 Local). Se ha utilizado una metodología híbrida denominada STAVE, que combina las técnicas del grupo de discusión con métodos iterativos y reflexivos por medio de una orientación de investigación-acción. Los resultados permiten identificar las predisposiciones de los comerciantes hacia la sostenibilidad, así como detectar en qué medida sus discursos son coherentes con sus prácticas. Además, los resultados muestran hasta qué punto las políticas municipales de la Agenda 21 de Barcelona pueden encajar en los contextos cotidianos del comercio local para promover avances hacia la sostenibilidad en el sector. En el present article s'analitza, en primer lloc, la distància entre el que la gent diu i el que la gent fa en relació amb la sostenibilitat en la seva vida quotidiana; en segon lloc, s'intenta connectar aquest coneixement amb el disseny i l'elaboració de polítiques de sostenibilitat. Per a això, s'ha escollit el cas d'una mostra de comerciants de la ciutat de Barcelona i la seva relació amb les polítiques que intenten promoure la sostenibilitat a la ciutat (l'Agenda 21 Local). S'ha utilitzat una metodologia híbrida denominada STAVE, que combina les tècniques del grup de discussió amb mètodes iteratius i reflexius per mitjà d'una orientació de recerca-acció. Els resultats permeten identificar les predisposicions dels comerciants cap a la sostenibilitat, així com detectar en quina mesura els seus discursos són coherents amb les seves pràctiques. A més, els resultats mostren fins a quin punt les polítiques municipals de l'Agenda 21 de Barcelona poden encaixar en els contextos quotidians del comerç local per promoure avenços cap a la sostenibilitat en el sector. This article first analyses the distance between what people say and what people do in relation to sustainability in their daily lives; and, secondly, it tries to connect this knowledge to the design and development of sustainability policies. We have chosen a case study based on a sample of shopkeepers in the city of Barcelona, and their relationships with policies seeking to promote sustainability in the city (LA21). We have used an hybrid methodology called STAVE that combines the techniques of reconvened focus group and thoughtful iterative methods with an action research orientation. The results allow us to identify shopkeeper's predispositions towards sustainability, and to identify to what extent their discourses are consistent (or not) with their practices. Furthermore, the results show how municipal policies of the Local Agenda 21 can fit into everyday contexts of shopkeepers to promote progress towards sustainability in the commercial sector.

    http://sherpa.ac.uk/romeo/issn/2007-9753/ El objetivo principal de esta investigación, se enfoca en el estudio de las propiedades de adsorción/desorción de CH4 en los yacimientos de gas asociado al carbón, los cuales se ubican en la porción noreste de México, con el fin de comprender su comportamiento desde el punto de vista de los yacimientos no convencionales. Para continuar con el desarrollo de este proyecto, se llevó a cabo una campaña de muestreo a cargo del Servicio Geológico Mexicano (SGM), el cual nos proporcionó 7 muestras de carbón bituminoso, procedentes de la Cuenca de Sabinas para su caracterización. La caracterización general incluyó: (1) Análisis inmediatos o primarios de humedad y ceniza, (2) Análisis elemental para la determinación de (C, H, O, N, y S), (3) Análisis petrográfico para determinar el tipo de materia orgánica, (4) Pirolisis Rock-Eval®6 para conocer su potencial petrolífero. El conjunto de estos análisis nos permitieron evaluar las muestras para desarrollar mediante “Isotermas de Langmuir” los ensayos de adsorción/desorción de CH4 y la interpretación de los parámetros que influyen en el proceso de adsorción. Para el desarrollo de las pruebas de adsorción/desorción se utilizó la técnica termo-volumétrica, observando capacidades de almacenamiento de gas metano de 202.11 scf/ton (7.07m3/ton) a 364.76 scf/ton (10.47m3/ton). Estos resultados nos permitieron interpretar las características físicas y químicas que influyen en la capacidad de almacenamiento del gas en el carbón. Anticipando como conclusión general que: la adsorción del gas aumenta con el rango/madurez. También se estudió la influencia de la composición maceral en el proceso de sorción y se verificó que la capacidad de almacenamiento de gas está íntimamente relacionada al contenido de vitrinita. Esto nos condujo a retomar las declaraciones de algunos autores (Chalmers y Bustin, 2008; Zhang et al, 2012) quienes verificaron que la capacidad de adsorción en base al COT aumenta en el siguiente orden: tipo I < tipo II < tipo III. Esto se atribuyó a que la vitrinita tiene una mayor capacidad de adsorción, en comparación con otros tipos de macerales. The main objective of this research was to study the gas adsorption/desorption properties in Coal Bed Methane reservoirs located in the North-eastern Mexico, and to understand the behavior of unconventional reservoirs. The Servicio Geológico Mexicano (SGM) performed a sampling campaign. For the characterization, the SGM providing us 7 bituminous coal samples from the Sabinas Basin. The general characterization included: (1) immediate or primary moisture and ash analysis (2) elemental analysis for (C, H, O, N, and S) quantification, (3) petrographic analysis for organic matter type determination, (4) Rock-Eval®6 Pyrolysis, for oil potential generation determination. After results evaluation, 7 samples were selected, in order to develop adsorption/desorption CH4 tests by “Langmuir Isotherms” and to understand of parameters affecting the adsorption process. Using thermo-volumetric technique could be observed storage capacities of methane gas between 202.11 scf/ton (7.07m3/ton) and 364.76 scf/ton (10.47 m3/ton). The adsorption/desorption tests results, let us to identify the physical and chemical characteristics of the samples influencing the gas storage capacity in the coal. A general conclusion is given; the gas adsorption increases with the rank/maturity. Also, the influence of the maceral composition in the process of sorption is recognized, and the capacity of gas storage is closely related to the vitrinite content. According to Chalmers y Bustin (2008), and Zhang et al. (2012), the capacity of adsorption as TOC, increases in the next order: type I < type II < type III.     The following essay collects the activities developed by the trainee during the internship period in Ábrego Association, within the theorical context of rural depopulation in the province of Burgos, phenomena that is increasing in the Spanish countryside. The position of the association inside of the movement for rural development and “neorruralism” will be observed, as well as its influence in the region. Theory of rural society in modern times and its relationship with the “neorrural movement” will be studied.     Capítulo de livro En este trabajo se revisan los temas más importantes de las políticas públicas ambientales de Portugal durante el año 2021, así como la legislación más importante publicada durante ese mismo año, realizando una evaluación bastante positiva de los avances en determinadas materias, como son: la nueva ley sobre cambio climático y el régimen general de gestión de residuos. Sin embargo, existen otras en que se debería mejorar, como el aumento excesivo del regadío intensivo, o la deficiente aplicación de la compensación a los ciudadanos por el reciclaje de embalajes, así como la lentitud en el tratamiento apropiado para determinados flujos de residuos, como el textil, los productos eléctricos o electrónicos y los «biorresiduos». This work deals with the most important issues of the environmental public policies of Portugal during the year 2021, as well as legislation published during that same year. A fairly positive evaluation of progress in certain subjects is made, such as: the new law on climate change and the general waste management regime. However, there are some areas in which it should be improved, such as the excessive increase in intensive irrigation, or the poor application of compensation to citizens for recycling packaging, as well as the slowness in the appropriate treatment for certain waste streams, such as textiles, electrical or electronic products and "bio waste". info:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersion

    Publicação digital RESUMEN: Las microalgas pueden ser utilizadas para la recuperación de nutrientes contenidos en diversos efluentes, contribuyendo de esta forma a la mejora de la sostenibilidad de multitud de procesos. Sin embargo, para poder conseguir procesos eficientes es necesario evaluar con detalle cada aplicación en función de los efluentes que se van a procesar. Dependiendo del proceso, la biomasa algal obtenida puede tener interés para su aplicación en distintos sectores y productos finales con diferente valor añadido, i.e., farmacéutico, cosmético, agroalimentario-ganadero-acuícola, ambiental, químico o incluso energético. En el año 2019, varios grupos de investigación pertenecientes a diferentes países iberoamericanos junto con 6 empresas que trabajan con microalgas se unieron para solicitar al programa de Redes de la CYTED (Programa Iberoamericano de Ciencia y Tecnología para el Desarrollo; https://www.cyted.org/es/cyted) la creación de una red temática para el tratamiento de efluentes con microalgas. Las Redes Temáticas que subvenciona este organismo, son asociaciones de grupos de investigación y desarrollo (I+D) de entidades públicas o privadas y empresas de los países miembros del Programa CYTED, cuyas actividades científicas o tecnológicas están relacionadas dentro de un ámbito común de interés y enmarcadas en una de las Áreas del Programa. En nuestro caso, la red se solicitó por el área industrial.     La sostenibilidad en la construcción y operación de edificaciones tiene como objetivo la reducción de los impactos ambientales y la utilización de recursos, así como la maximización de la utilidad y el retorno de inversión en el sector de la construcción. Esta metodología, es el resultado del trabajo desarrollado en la Universidad de Minho y el iiSBE Portugal, y su propósito fue desarrollar una metodología genérica para evaluar la sostenibilidad de un edificio nuevo, existente o renovado en zonas urbanas en Portugal, teniendo en cuenta las tres dimensiones de la sostenibilidad: ambiental, social y económica. Así mismo, esta metodología evalúa 25 parámetros asociados a los factores más relevantes que pueden afectar el medio ambiente y la salud humana, y esá dividida en las siguientes nueve categorías: C1 - Cambio climático y calidad del aire interior; C2 - Uso del suelo y biodiversidad; C3 – Eficiencia energética; C4 – Materiales y gestión de residuos; C5 – Eficiencia del agua; C6 – Confort y salud de los ocupantes; C7 – Accesibilidad; C8 – Educación y sensibilidad de la sostenibilidad; y C9 – Costos del ciclo de vida. El puntaje final de la sostenibilidad depende de la comparación del caso de estudio con la mejor práctica y la práctica convencional en cada uno de los parámetros evaluados. Adicionalmente, esta metodología, está dividida en cuatro fases que son la cuantificación del desempeño del edificio a nivel de cada indicador, la normalización de los parámetros, la agregación de los parámetros y el cálculo del puntaje final de sostenibilidad. Este trabajo presenta la evaluación y la optimización de la sostenibilidad de un edificio mediante la metodología SBToolPT-H, implementando mejoras en los parámetros más relevantes en el desempeño del edificio en estudio, que, como resultado, fueron los parámetros relacionados con el agua, la energía y los costos. Finalmente, en la fase de optimización se incorporaron paneles solares fotovoltaicos y un sistema SAAP, que consiguieron que el edificio pasara de un nivel de sostenibilidad de 0.28 a 0.48, y a nivel cualitativo subiera de una clase C a una clase B. Sustainability in building construction and operation aims at minimization of environmental impacts and resources utilization as well as maximization of utility and investment returns in the building sector. The purpose of this paper is to optimize the level of sustainability of a Multi-Dwelling building in Portugal through the SBToolPT-H methodology. The SBToolPT-H methodology is the result of the work developed in the University of Minho and the iiSBE Portugal, and its purpose was to develop a generic methodology to assess the sustainability of new, existence and renovated buildings in urban areas in Portugal, taking into account three dimensions: environmental, social, and economic. Furthermore, this methodology assesses 25 parameters associated with the most important factors that may affect the natural environment or human health and they are divided in nine sustainability categories: C1 – Climate change and outdoor air quality; C2 – Land use and biodiversity; C3 – Energy Efficiency; C4 – Materials and waste management; C5 – Water efficiency; C6 – Occupant’s health and comfort; C7 – Accessibilities; C8 – Education and awareness of sustainability; and C9 – Life-cycle costs. The final score of sustainability depends on the comparison of the case study with the best practice and the conventional practice in each one of the parameters that are assessed. In addition, this methodology is divided into four steps that are the quantification of performance of the building at the level of each indicator, the normalization of parameters, the aggregation of parameters and the sustainable score calculation and global assessment. This paper presents the assessment and optimization of the sustainability of a building using the SBToolPT-H methodology, implementing improvements alternatives in the most relevant aspects of the case building’s performance, and, as a result, were the parameters related to water resource, energy and costs. Finally, in the improvement phase, were incorporated photovoltaic panels and a SAAP system, that achieved increase the sustainable score of 0.28 to 0.48, and in a qualitative scale increase of Class C to Class B.     En este artículo se presenta la aplicación de un método psicométrico, el Modelo de Moralidad Intuitiva y Ejemplares – MIME, sobre una investigación en periodismo digital. El MIME combina la teoría de la psicología moral con teorías de influencia de los medios, para describir cómo las intuiciones morales del individuo se entrelazan con las narrativas morales de los medios. Para ello, han sido recopiladas y clasificadas 60 noticias sobre cambio climático de los diarios digitales con más lectores de Portugal. La muestra ha sido seleccionada entre noticias de 2017 a 2021, cuando ha habido eventos climáticos extremos en Portugal. Dicha metodología nos ha permitido identificar artículos con más de un valor moral, lo que ha generado una lista entre los más destacados, según extensión, diversidad léxica y cantidad de fuentes de información. The Intuitive and Exemplary Morality Model – MIME will be presented as a psychometric method applied in our research work on digital journalism. MIME combines moral psychology theory with media influence theories to describe how individual moral insights intertwine with media moral narratives. For this, 60 news on climate change has been collected and classified from digital newspapers with the most readers in Portugal. The sample has been selected from news from 2017 to 2021 when there have been extreme weather events in Portugal. This methodology has allowed us to identify articles with more than one moral value, which has generated a list among the most outstanding, according to length, lexical diversity, and number of information sources.

    El uso de fuentes de energía es imprescindible para el desarrollo social, económico y tecnológico, en los últimos años los combustibles fósiles como principal fuente energética ha generado graves problemas ambientales. Por esta razón, Instituciones gubernamentales y organizaciones en todo el mundo, promueven el uso de fuentes renovables como una alternativa eficiente y amigable con el medio ambiente. Con el fin de minimizar los impactos ambientales y preservar el medio ambiente, se han impulsado distintos proyectos e investigaciones; uno de los cuales es el Análisis de Ciclo de Vida (ACV) y la Huella de Carbono (HC), los cuales analizan la metodología y el cálculo de daños provocados al medio ambiente, ya sea por personas, empresas o servicios. El objetivo de un ACV es cuantificar los impactos generados por cualquier actividad, producto o servicio, mientras que la HC permite cuantificar y comparar en kgCO2 eq los impactos que producen los Gases de Efecto Invernadero (GEI). Este trabajo propone un ACV y HC al proceso de producción de electricidad a partir de biogás, el análisis se lleva a cabo en el relleno sanitario Pichacay, ubicado en la ciudad de Cuenca, Ecuador. Para el desarrollo de esta investigación se utilizó el software Simapro.8 el cual es una herramienta que permite realizar ACV y HC, mediante el ingreso de datos propios y/o el uso de su base de datos, en este caso se usaron datos provenientes de la Empresa Municipal de Aseo de Cuenca (EMAC EP), a la cual pertenece el proyecto de generación de electricidad a partir del biogás del relleno sanitario Pichacay, los sistemas estudiados en este proceso fueron, el transporte de residuos hasta el relleno, el sistema de extracción y tratamiento del biogás, equipo de generación de electricidad, y finalmente la subestación de transformación. Como resultado del estudio del ACV, se obtuvo que la mayor parte de impactos ambientales se produce en la etapa de transporte de residuos, debido a la cantidad de kilómetros que recorren los vehículos recolectores y de combustible usado en un año. Para el análisis de la huella de carbono, se empleó el método Greenhouse Gas Protocol V1.01 de Simapro, el mismo que mostró que el CO2 eq fósil, fue el que contribuyó en gran cantidad, esto debido al consumo de diésel por los camiones recolectores de basura. El análisis de éstas metodologías permitieron comprobar, que aparte del subsistema de transporte, se obtienen impactos o aspectos positivos asociados a la producción de electricidad mediante biogás, debido a que se evitan la emisión de GEI, en especial el metano (CH4) que es el gas que más contribuye al calentamiento global. Para este caso estudiado y debido a los resultados obtenidos se recomienda optimizar las rutas de recorrido de los recolectores de basura y /o cambiar el combustible por un biocombustible como el biodiesel que tiene mayores ventajas ambientales. En Ecuador aún no se han desarrollado suficientemente estas metodologías, motivo por el cual es importante que se realicen este tipo de estudios ya que a través de ellos podemos acercarnos y encaminarnos a una economía circular, púes ésta no pretende solamente responder a los desafíos globales como el cambio climático, la sostenibilidad y la preservación de la biodiversidad, sino que impulsa el uso consciente y eficiente de cada uno de los recursos, productos y/o servicios que necesitamos para desarrollarnos tanto económica como social y ambientalmente.

    En el presente artículo, se analiza, en primer lugar, la distancia entre lo que la gente dice y lo que la gente hace en relación con la sostenibilidad en su vida cotidiana; en segundo lugar, se intenta conectar este conocimiento con el diseño y la elaboración de políticas de sostenibilidad. Para ello, se ha escogido el caso de una muestra de comerciantes de la ciudad de Barcelona y su relación con las políticas que intentan promover la sostenibilidad en la ciudad (la Agenda 21 Local). Se ha utilizado una metodología híbrida denominada STAVE, que combina las técnicas del grupo de discusión con métodos iterativos y reflexivos por medio de una orientación de investigación-acción. Los resultados permiten identificar las predisposiciones de los comerciantes hacia la sostenibilidad, así como detectar en qué medida sus discursos son coherentes con sus prácticas. Además, los resultados muestran hasta qué punto las políticas municipales de la Agenda 21 de Barcelona pueden encajar en los contextos cotidianos del comercio local para promover avances hacia la sostenibilidad en el sector. En el present article s'analitza, en primer lloc, la distància entre el que la gent diu i el que la gent fa en relació amb la sostenibilitat en la seva vida quotidiana; en segon lloc, s'intenta connectar aquest coneixement amb el disseny i l'elaboració de polítiques de sostenibilitat. Per a això, s'ha escollit el cas d'una mostra de comerciants de la ciutat de Barcelona i la seva relació amb les polítiques que intenten promoure la sostenibilitat a la ciutat (l'Agenda 21 Local). S'ha utilitzat una metodologia híbrida denominada STAVE, que combina les tècniques del grup de discussió amb mètodes iteratius i reflexius per mitjà d'una orientació de recerca-acció. Els resultats permeten identificar les predisposicions dels comerciants cap a la sostenibilitat, així com detectar en quina mesura els seus discursos són coherents amb les seves pràctiques. A més, els resultats mostren fins a quin punt les polítiques municipals de l'Agenda 21 de Barcelona poden encaixar en els contextos quotidians del comerç local per promoure avenços cap a la sostenibilitat en el sector. This article first analyses the distance between what people say and what people do in relation to sustainability in their daily lives; and, secondly, it tries to connect this knowledge to the design and development of sustainability policies. We have chosen a case study based on a sample of shopkeepers in the city of Barcelona, and their relationships with policies seeking to promote sustainability in the city (LA21). We have used an hybrid methodology called STAVE that combines the techniques of reconvened focus group and thoughtful iterative methods with an action research orientation. The results allow us to identify shopkeeper's predispositions towards sustainability, and to identify to what extent their discourses are consistent (or not) with their practices. Furthermore, the results show how municipal policies of the Local Agenda 21 can fit into everyday contexts of shopkeepers to promote progress towards sustainability in the commercial sector.
