Med udfasningen af den almindelige glødepære og indfasningen af LED belysning er der sket store forandringer på belysningsområdet, som ikke alene lægger op til helt nye belysningsmønstre, men som også kræver ny viden og kompetence omkring brug af lys i hverdagen, samt navigation imellem nye produkter. Flere studier viser at belysningsmønstre udvikler sig på baggrund af mangfoldige sociale og materielle aspekter, som ofte udligner energieffektiviteten på grund af et højere – eller anderledes – forbrug (eg. Wallenborn et al 2009, Evans et al 2012, Jensen 2014). Det er derfor essentielt at forstå, hvad der sker i nye og anderledes lys-forbrugsformer for at forstå hvordan og hvorfor de udfolder sig.Denne artikel giver et eksempel på hvordan energieffektiv belysning har vundet indpas i et økologisk beboerfælleskab i Roskilde (Munksøgård). Artiklen argumenterer for at nye belysningsmønstre opstår som en del af en bestemt social praksisarkitektur og bestemte materielle arrangementer, der synes at medskabe og fordre energieffektive belysningsmønstre, som ikke alene bestemmes af rationelle, økonomiske og miljømæssige faktorer.

Danmark står således overfor en række udfordringer på energiområdet, hvor en øget udbredelse af vedvarende energi skal indpasses i det nuværende energisystem, hvis målet skal nås. De valg der træffes i dag, skaber et udviklingsspor mod målet for 2050. For at understøtte den langsigtede målopfyldelse, er det nødvendigt at planlægge tilgangen hensigtsmæssigt, så der ikke kun fokuseres på kortsigtede og utilstrækkelige mål, men også så der samtidig skabes rum for løbende udvikling. De kortsigtede mål skal således ikke ses som en afslutning, men snarere som en begyndelse på en større omstilling til et fossilfrit samfund. Det er således værd at reflektere over, hvordan målet bedst kan nås nu, og samtidig skaber gode muligheder for udviklingen derefter. I dette speciale vurderes kommunale muligheder for at gennemføre en strategisk og langsigtet energiplanlægning, der positivt kan medvirke til at igangsætte en udvikling frem mod et fossilfrit samfund. Undersøgelsen tager sit udspring i Kalundborg Kommune og dennes mål for omstilling frem mod 2020. Med problemformuleringen Hvordan kan Kalundborg Kommune planlægge og gennemføre en strategisk omstilling af det kommunale energisystem mod en fossilfri energiforsyning? søger jeg således at opstille en model for, hvordan kommunen ved hjælp af en holistisk og strategisk planlægning kan igangsætte en målopfyldelse af egne klimamål på kort sigt, som samtidig skaber grundlaget for opfyldelse af det langsigtede mål om fossilfri energiforsyning i 2050. I besvarelsen af problemformuleringen gennemfører jeg tre analyser. Dels afdækkes udgangspunktet for omstilling gennem en kortlægning af det kommunale energisystem. Her opgøres kommunens samlede energiforbrug og drivhusgasudledning, og der opstilles mål for omstillingen. Herudover ser jeg nærmere på, hvordan målene kan nås gennem strategisk planlægning. Der tages her udgangspunkt i potentialet for udvikling af biogas med det formål at påvise en mulig udviklingsvej for det kommunale energisystem. Herefter diskuteres udfordringer og barrierer for en øget anvendelse af vedvarende energi i det kommunale energisystem. Specialet påviser, at kommunen med en strategisk og systemisk planlægning på tværs af systemer kan opnå den målsatte udbygning af vedvarende energi og reduktion af drivhusgasudledningerne, og herigennem skabe den nødvendige omstilling til fremtidens bæredygtige energisystem. / By introducing Energy Strategy 2050 from coal, oil and gas into green energy, the Danish Government reveals its plans and set up targets for how Denmark can become independent of fossil fuels in 2050. The choices made today create a development track for the 2050 target, and Denmark is thus facing several challenges introducing the needed amount of renewable energy into the current energy system to meet this target. To support the long‐term goals, it is necessary to plan for an appropriate short‐term transition of the society, which at the same time pave the way for ongoing development. Thus, the short‐term goal should not be seen as final but rather as a beginning of a major transition towards a low‐carbon society. Hence it is worth reflecting on how the short‐term goals can be achieved, while at the same time creating opportunities for future development. In this thesis, I assess local capabilities to implement a strategic and systemic energy planning, which can positively contribute to drive development towards a low‐carbon society. The study focuses on the Municipality of Kalundborg and its climate goals for 2020. By asking how can Kalundborg Municipality plan and implement a strategic restructuring of the energy system towards independency of fossil fuels? I seek to formulate a model for how the municipality can meet its own climate goals through holistic and strategic energy planning as a first step of meeting the long‐term goal of fossil fuel independency in 2050. Three analyses are made to answer the question: First I assess the starting point for transition through a mapping of the municipal energy system. Total energy consumption and greenhouse gas emissions are calculated, and goals for transition are set. Then, I look into how the objectives can be achieved through strategic planning. This part of the thesis is based on the potential for biogas development in order to demonstrate a possible development path for the energy system. Finally, challenges and barriers hampering increased use of renewable energy in energy system are discussed. The thesis demonstrates that the municipality can achieve the targeted expansion of renewable energy and emission reductions by adopting a strategic and systemic planning, and thereby create the necessary transformation to a future sustainable energy system.

Therefore, cooperation is required between different professions and between generalists and specialists from the very beginning of the process. The purpose of this booklet is to support the integrated design process and co-operation between different professions. The subject areas are therefore described at a general level, to provide the engineer with an insight into the techniques used by the architect, and vice versa. Additionally, specialist knowledge must be acquired, depending on the project in question. Through a cross-disciplinary approach to architecture and building design, and based on an integrated design process, this publication will:• introduce a number of design strategies and technologies which are particularly important for the development of zero energy houses. These strategies and technologies are illustrated through simple design principles and built examples• identify technical and architectural potentials and challenges related to design strategies of crucial importance to the development of zero energy houses• identify technical and architectural potentials and challenges related to the application of new technologies• make visible engineering and architectural issues and create greater transparency, providing a point of departure for cross-disciplinary cooperation.

This is accomplished by glazed-in extensions, by utilizing passive solar heat gains for preheating the ventilation air, by replacing the windows and by establihsing energy alarms. At the same time it was possible to avoid many typical defects in this type of extensions. The summer temperature in the extensions can be kept at a moderate level, for instance by establishing a moderte level of natural ventilation and solar shading. Målinger i et forsøgsbyggeri med glasinddækkede altaner viser, at det er muligt at opnå store energibesparelser. Dette er sikret ved glasinddækkede altaner, luftsolfanger til forvarmning af ventilationsluften, udskiftning af vinduerne og opsætning af energialarmer. Samtidig har det været muligt at undgå mange af de typiske fejl og mangler ved denne type tilbygninger. Fx kan sommertemperaturen på altanerne holdes på et moderat niveau ved at etablere naturlig ventilation og solafskærmning.

Med udfasningen af den almindelige glødepære og indfasningen af LED belysning er der sket store forandringer på belysningsområdet, som ikke alene lægger op til helt nye belysningsmønstre, men som også kræver ny viden og kompetence omkring brug af lys i hverdagen, samt navigation imellem nye produkter. Flere studier viser at belysningsmønstre udvikler sig på baggrund af mangfoldige sociale og materielle aspekter, som ofte udligner energieffektiviteten på grund af et højere – eller anderledes – forbrug (eg. Wallenborn et al 2009, Evans et al 2012, Jensen 2014). Det er derfor essentielt at forstå, hvad der sker i nye og anderledes lys-forbrugsformer for at forstå hvordan og hvorfor de udfolder sig.Denne artikel giver et eksempel på hvordan energieffektiv belysning har vundet indpas i et økologisk beboerfælleskab i Roskilde (Munksøgård). Artiklen argumenterer for at nye belysningsmønstre opstår som en del af en bestemt social praksisarkitektur og bestemte materielle arrangementer, der synes at medskabe og fordre energieffektive belysningsmønstre, som ikke alene bestemmes af rationelle, økonomiske og miljømæssige faktorer.

Danmark står således overfor en række udfordringer på energiområdet, hvor en øget udbredelse af vedvarende energi skal indpasses i det nuværende energisystem, hvis målet skal nås. De valg der træffes i dag, skaber et udviklingsspor mod målet for 2050. For at understøtte den langsigtede målopfyldelse, er det nødvendigt at planlægge tilgangen hensigtsmæssigt, så der ikke kun fokuseres på kortsigtede og utilstrækkelige mål, men også så der samtidig skabes rum for løbende udvikling. De kortsigtede mål skal således ikke ses som en afslutning, men snarere som en begyndelse på en større omstilling til et fossilfrit samfund. Det er således værd at reflektere over, hvordan målet bedst kan nås nu, og samtidig skaber gode muligheder for udviklingen derefter. I dette speciale vurderes kommunale muligheder for at gennemføre en strategisk og langsigtet energiplanlægning, der positivt kan medvirke til at igangsætte en udvikling frem mod et fossilfrit samfund. Undersøgelsen tager sit udspring i Kalundborg Kommune og dennes mål for omstilling frem mod 2020. Med problemformuleringen Hvordan kan Kalundborg Kommune planlægge og gennemføre en strategisk omstilling af det kommunale energisystem mod en fossilfri energiforsyning? søger jeg således at opstille en model for, hvordan kommunen ved hjælp af en holistisk og strategisk planlægning kan igangsætte en målopfyldelse af egne klimamål på kort sigt, som samtidig skaber grundlaget for opfyldelse af det langsigtede mål om fossilfri energiforsyning i 2050. I besvarelsen af problemformuleringen gennemfører jeg tre analyser. Dels afdækkes udgangspunktet for omstilling gennem en kortlægning af det kommunale energisystem. Her opgøres kommunens samlede energiforbrug og drivhusgasudledning, og der opstilles mål for omstillingen. Herudover ser jeg nærmere på, hvordan målene kan nås gennem strategisk planlægning. Der tages her udgangspunkt i potentialet for udvikling af biogas med det formål at påvise en mulig udviklingsvej for det kommunale energisystem. Herefter diskuteres udfordringer og barrierer for en øget anvendelse af vedvarende energi i det kommunale energisystem. Specialet påviser, at kommunen med en strategisk og systemisk planlægning på tværs af systemer kan opnå den målsatte udbygning af vedvarende energi og reduktion af drivhusgasudledningerne, og herigennem skabe den nødvendige omstilling til fremtidens bæredygtige energisystem. / By introducing Energy Strategy 2050 from coal, oil and gas into green energy, the Danish Government reveals its plans and set up targets for how Denmark can become independent of fossil fuels in 2050. The choices made today create a development track for the 2050 target, and Denmark is thus facing several challenges introducing the needed amount of renewable energy into the current energy system to meet this target. To support the long‐term goals, it is necessary to plan for an appropriate short‐term transition of the society, which at the same time pave the way for ongoing development. Thus, the short‐term goal should not be seen as final but rather as a beginning of a major transition towards a low‐carbon society. Hence it is worth reflecting on how the short‐term goals can be achieved, while at the same time creating opportunities for future development. In this thesis, I assess local capabilities to implement a strategic and systemic energy planning, which can positively contribute to drive development towards a low‐carbon society. The study focuses on the Municipality of Kalundborg and its climate goals for 2020. By asking how can Kalundborg Municipality plan and implement a strategic restructuring of the energy system towards independency of fossil fuels? I seek to formulate a model for how the municipality can meet its own climate goals through holistic and strategic energy planning as a first step of meeting the long‐term goal of fossil fuel independency in 2050. Three analyses are made to answer the question: First I assess the starting point for transition through a mapping of the municipal energy system. Total energy consumption and greenhouse gas emissions are calculated, and goals for transition are set. Then, I look into how the objectives can be achieved through strategic planning. This part of the thesis is based on the potential for biogas development in order to demonstrate a possible development path for the energy system. Finally, challenges and barriers hampering increased use of renewable energy in energy system are discussed. The thesis demonstrates that the municipality can achieve the targeted expansion of renewable energy and emission reductions by adopting a strategic and systemic planning, and thereby create the necessary transformation to a future sustainable energy system.

Therefore, cooperation is required between different professions and between generalists and specialists from the very beginning of the process. The purpose of this booklet is to support the integrated design process and co-operation between different professions. The subject areas are therefore described at a general level, to provide the engineer with an insight into the techniques used by the architect, and vice versa. Additionally, specialist knowledge must be acquired, depending on the project in question. Through a cross-disciplinary approach to architecture and building design, and based on an integrated design process, this publication will:• introduce a number of design strategies and technologies which are particularly important for the development of zero energy houses. This is accomplished by glazed-in extensions, by utilizing passive solar heat gains for preheating the ventilation air, by replacing the windows and by establihsing energy alarms. At the same time it was possible to avoid many typical defects in this type of extensions. The summer temperature in the extensions can be kept at a moderate level, for instance by establishing a moderte level of natural ventilation and solar shading. Målinger i et forsøgsbyggeri med glasinddækkede altaner viser, at det er muligt at opnå store energibesparelser. Dette er sikret ved glasinddækkede altaner, luftsolfanger til forvarmning af ventilationsluften, udskiftning af vinduerne og opsætning af energialarmer. Samtidig har det været muligt at undgå mange af de typiske fejl og mangler ved denne type tilbygninger. Fx kan sommertemperaturen på altanerne holdes på et moderat niveau ved at etablere naturlig ventilation og solafskærmning.
