Treball Final de Màster Universitari en Professor/a d'Educació Secundària Obligatòria i Batxillerat, Formació Professional i Ensenyaments d'Idiomes. Codi SAP809. This project corresponds to the master’s thesis of “Teacher of Secondary and Compulsory Education (ESO) and Baccalaureate, Vocational Training and Language Teaching”, within the specialization in Plastic Arts. Its title is “Artistic creation in the secondary school classroom through environmental awarness”. This study is framed in the modality of Planning and/or curricular programming. The purpose of the study is to design an academic program corresponding to a trimester of the subject “Visual and Audiovisual Plastic Education” for 4th-grade ESO students. Guidelines of the current Spanish education law, LOMCE, defined in Royal Decree 1105/2014, have been taken into account. The main objective of the three didactic units developed is to take care of the environment from the plastic course, which is mainly conducted with dynamic activities and active methodologies. The covered contents are included in block I (Plastic Expression), block III (Foundations of Design), and block IV (Audiovisual and Multimedia Language). The study aims to help students better understand environmental care and reflect and propose solutions in an artistic way. Three different disciplines will be applied to show the students that reusing material is not the only way to raise awareness. In the first didactic unit, they are to make a portrait of a peer by using sustainable and/or reusable materials. In the second unit, they are to design a poster where the need to take care of the environment is reflected. In the last unit, they will make a video documenting society’s wrong actions towards the environment while offering possible improvements or solutions.
