    As parcerias em saúde global ocupam um importante lugar na discussão da saúde global. Durante o 5º Congresso Nacional de Medicina Tropical foram discutidos alguns pontos centrais desta área: investigação, implementação e financiamento. O objetivo deste artigo é, com base nas ideias apresentadas e do debate gerado, refletir sobre cada um dos temas, sobressaindo os aspetos mais relevantes para a atualidade e futuro das parcerias em saúde global. O artigo tem por base as apresentações, a discussão gerada e a revisão bibliográfica sobre as três temáticas centrais referidas. As parcerias em saúde global pretendem reverter e superar as assimetrias Norte/Sul em diversos níveis: capacitação, acesso, conhecimento, financiamento, investigação, ensino e desenvolvimento de ciência; contribuindo para a construção de uma sociedade baseada no conhecimento e com vista ao desenvolvimento sustentável e cobertura universal em saúde. Estas parcerias são crescentemente reconhecidas como um elemento fundamental para alcançar os ODS, existindo, no entanto, a necessidade de assegurar que não prejudicam nenhum dos intervenientes. Devem ser equilibradas e simétricas, espelhando os interesses de todas as partes envolvidas, reforçando as capacidades existentes e prezando pela transparência e inclusão de todos os parceiros em todas as fases. Assim, as parcerias em saúde global poderão ser verdadeiramente efetivas, levando a novas formas de articulação, implementação e financiamento. Partnerships in global health stand in an important position when discussing global health. During the 5th National Congress of Tropical Medicine, some central themes in this area were discussed: research, implementation and funding. This paper aims to reflect upon each theme, highlighting the most relevant aspects for the future and present of global health partnerships. It is based on the various presentations and the ensuing discussion, also relying on a literature review on the referred three central themes. Global health partnerships aim to reverse and overcome the North/South asymmetries at different levels: training, access, knowledge, funding, research, education and science development; contributing towards the construction of a knowledge-based society, aiming at sustainable development and universal health coverage. These partnerships are increasingly understood as critical to attaining all SDGs, but there is also the need to ensure that they do not harm any of the stakeholders. They must be balanced and symmetrical, reflecting the interests of all parties involved, fostering the inclusion of all partners in every stage. Therefore, partnerships in global health may be truly effective, leading to innovative ways of articulation, implementation and funding. publishersversion published

    Um dos factores que contribui para a baixa sensibilidade da citologia urinária é a fixação em etanol. Neste trabalho foi avaliada a citomorfologia e as características tintoriais de lavados vesicais fixados pelo FineFIX® ou pelo RCL2® comparativamente aos fixados pelo etanol. A análise dos achados microscópicos revelou que as preparações fixadas pelo RCL2® apresentam qualidade inferior (p=0,001), enquanto as fixadas pelo FineFIX® apresentam qualidade semelhante às fixadas pelo etanol (p=0,204). Relativamente às características nucleares, o FineFIX® providencia qualidade superior ao etanol (p=0,027). O FineFIX® é um potencial fixador citológico por aumentar o detalhe nuclear, característica importante para o diagnóstico. One of the factors that contribute to the low sensitivity of the urinary cytology is fixation by ethanol. We evaluated the morphology and cytological dyeing features of bladder washings fixed by FineFIX® or by RCL2® compared to fixed by ethanol. The analysis of microscopic findings showed that preparations fixed by RCL2® present lower quality (p=0,001), while preparations fixed by FineFIX® present quality similar to those fixed by ethanol (p=0,204). With respect to nuclear characteristics, the FineFIX® provides higher quality than ethanol (p=0,027). The FineFIX® is a potential fixative for cytology by increase the nuclear detail, an important feature for diagnosis.

    Authors: Santos, Ana Beatriz de Almeida;

    A presente tese de mestrado visa a compreensão do impacto do turismo massificado e da sustentabilidade no setor da reabilitação de edifícios na freguesia de Cedofeita, localizada na cidade do Porto, entre o período de 2015 e 2020. Em uma primeira fase, destacou-se a importância da compreensão dos conceitos internacionais de conservação, reabilitação e restauro de forma a obter um bom alicerce para compreender como tem sido feita a reabilitação de edifícios históricos e de edifícios comuns. Diante do cenário apresentado, o objetivo geral desta investigação é apresentar uma leitura integrada dos tópicos que envolvem a reabilitação, o turismo de massas e a sustentabilidade. A partir desse cenário, abordou-se a reabilitação urbana predominante em uma das maiores cidades portuguesas, o Porto. Em uma primeira fase, analisou-se o impacto negativo e positivo do turismo massificado no Porto entre 2015 e 2020, ocasionando os fenômenos da turistificação e aceleração da gentrificação. Salientou-se a relação do turismo com a reabilitação e de como os reflexos desta união afetam a economia. O setor imobiliário a longo, médio e curto prazo assumiu grande importância no contexto turístico. Devido a esse fator, empresas como o Airbnb, que pertence ao ramo do alojamento, e a Idealista, que pertence ao setor imobiliário, ganharam maior evidência no setor imobiliário habitacional portuense. Em um segundo momento, a pesquisa teve como foco a análise do impacto da situação pandémica provocada pelo COVID-19, tendo como base especificamente os edifícios históricos e comuns reabilitados na região de Cedofeita. Empresas como a Remax e a Era já existiam independentemente do turismo, mas também contribuíram com o crescimento do setor imobiliário. Relata-se também o impacto da pandemia COVID-19 no ano de 2020 e 2021 que afetou o turismo de forma extraordinária e sem precedentes. Posteriormente, propõe-se uma reflexão sobre a implementação da sustentabilidade na reabilitação edilícia no contexto específico do Porto. Os países pertencentes à União Europeia, em 2019, assinaram o Pacto Ecológico Europeu que visa atingir a neutralidade carbônica até 2050. Face ao acordo, estão sendo elaboradas medidas específicas em cada país de forma a atingir o objetivo. Nesta etapa foi apontado o conceito de Economia Circular e os seus efeitos na economia portuguesa, bem como as vantagens da implementação da tecnologia BIM aplicada à sustentabilidade edilícia. O BIM é uma tecnologia que contribuído com o alcance da sustentabilidade na reabilitação de edifícios do Porto. A fim de que seja proposta uma análise dos edifícios reabilitados no Porto, foi feito um recorte geográfico e temporal, tendo-se selecionado os edifícios pertencentes à freguesia de Cedofeita, reabilitados de 2015 a 2020 como caso de estudo. This master's thesis aims to understand the impact of mass tourism and sustainability in the sector of rehabilitation of buildings in the parish of Cedofeita, located in the city of Porto, between 2015 and 2020. In a first stage we tried to highlight the understanding of international concepts of conservation, rehabilitation and restoration in order to obtain a good basis to identify how the rehabilitation of historic buildings and common buildings has been carried out. Given the scenario presented, the general objective of this investigation is to outline an integrated reading of the topics that involve rehabilitation, mass tourism and sustainability. Accordingly, an approach to the predominant urban rehabilitation in one of the largest Portuguese citie as Porto, was made In a first phase the negative and positive impact of mass tourism causing the phenomena of touristification and acceleration of gentrification, in Porto, between 2015 and 2020 was analyzed, The relationship between tourism and rehabilitation was highlighted as the effects of the gathering of these two issues affect the economy. The long, medium and short term real estate sector has assumed great importance in the tourism context. Due to this factor, companies such as Airbnb, which belongs to the accommodation sector, and Idealista, which belongs to the real estate sector, gained greater evidence in the Porto housing real estate sector. In a second moment, the research focused on analyzing the impact of the pandemic situation caused by COVID-19, specifically based on the historic and common buildings rehabilitated in the Cedofeita region. Companies like Remax and Era already existed independently of mass tourism, but they also contributed to the growth of the real estate sector. The impact of the COVID-19 pandemic in the year 2020 and 2021 is also reported, as a factor that affected tourism in an extraordinary and unprecedented way. Subsequently, a reflection on the implementation of sustainability in building rehabilitation in the specific context of Porto is proposed. The countries belonging to the European Union, in 2019, signed the European Ecological Pact, which aims to achieve carbon neutrality by 2050. In view of the agreement, specific measures are being prepared in each country in order to achieve the goal. At this stage, the concept of the Circular Economy and its effects on the Portuguese economy were pointed out, as well as the advantages of implementing BIM technology applied to building sustainability. BIM is a technology that has contributed to achieving sustainability in the rehabilitation of buildings in Porto. In order to propose an analysis of the rehabilitated buildings in Porto, a geographical and temporal framework was made, having selected the buildings belonging to the parish of Cedofeita, rehabilitated from 2015 to 2020 as a case study.

    Authors: Ribeiro, João António Simões;

    Os impactos negativos da pandemia por Covid-19, as estratégias de sustentabilidade das organizações e a crescente exigência dos consumidores têm colocado na ordem do dia as questões da reputação corporativa. Considerando o atual contexto e conceitos cada vez mais relevantes como o consumo sustentável e a ação climática, a presente investigação centra-se na análise do impacto que a pandemia por Covid-19 exerce nas estratégias de sustentabilidade das organizações em Portugal, propondo-se averiguar uma decorrente influência na sua reputação corporativa. O objetivo desta investigação é pois, avaliar em que medida os impactos socioeconómicos da pandemia por Covid-19 estarão a exercer um efeito negativo nas estratégias de sustentabilidade das organizações em Portugal, que resulte numa reputação corporativa igualmente negativa junto do seu público. Alicerçada na opinião de uma especialista em sustentabilidade e política pública nacional de mitigação climática, nesta investigação realizaram-se entrevistas a diretores de sustentabilidade de organizações do PSI20 e administrou-se um inquérito por questionário a consumidores nacionais. Concluiu-se que apesar de consistentes, as estratégias de sustentabilidade das organizações sofreram alterações sobretudo de um ponto de vista temporal. Ou seja, a pandemia por Covid-19 veio não só exigir uma necessária adaptação ao contexto, como também acelerar planos de atividades de forma a colmatar necessidades ambientais e sociais conjunturais. Chegou-se também à conclusão de que os consumidores se mostraram críticos quanto à honestidade e credibilidade de iniciativas de caráter social ou ambiental em período de pandemia – sem que, com isso, se consiga identificar uma influência direta na reputação corporativa das organizações. Corporate reputational issues are, nowadays, much more demanding if we consider the negative impacts of the Covid-19 pandemic, the need for credible sustainability strategies and consumers’ growing ESG expectations. Thus, this research focuses on the analysis of the impact that Covid-19 pandemic is having on corporates’ sustainability strategies in Portugal, proposing to investigate any type of influence on their reputation. The main objective of this research is to assess to which extent the socio-economic impacts of the Covid-19 pandemic are playing a negative role on corporate sustainability strategies in Portugal, resulting in an equally negative corporate reputation. This investigation took, as a starting point, a sustainability and climate mitigation policy expert’s view, followed by interviews to PSI20’s Chief Sustainability Officers, alongside a survey conducted among Portuguese consumers. It was concluded that despite being consistent, corporate sustainability strategies underwent changes, especially from a temporal point of view. In other words, the Covid-19 pandemic not only required an adaptation to the context, but also accelerated corporate initiatives in order to meet current environmental and social needs. It was also concluded that consumers were concerned about the honesty and credibility of social and environmental initiatives during Covid-19, but a direct influence on corporate reputation was not found.

    Authors: Castro, Débora Francisca Baptista;

    Nos últimos anos tem-se observado uma crescente preocupação com os hábitos de higiene, saúde e segurança por parte da sociedade. Adicionalmente, as infeções em setores como a saúde e a indústria alimentar, impuseram a necessidade do desenvolvimento de produtos que permitam conferir qualidade e segurança aos serviços e produtos disponíveis. Face a esta procura, a empresa Success Gadget desenvolveu um desinfetante antimicrobiano multi-superfícies de longa duração. Assim, este trabalho desenvolvido na referida empresa teve como objetivo principal a avaliação deste produto, quer em termos de composição, quer em termos de atividade antimicrobiana contra vários microrganismos e aplicada em diferentes superfícies. Numa primeira fase deste projeto, foram estudados os componentes da formulação e a estabilidade da mesma, quando submetida a ensaios de estabilidade acelerada. Relativamente aos componentes da formulação confirma-se a atividade antibacteriana por parte das substâncias ativas da formulação, o peróxido de hidrogénio e o etanol, para as três bactérias em estudo, Staphylococcus aureus, Klebsiella pneumoniae e Escherichia coli. Quanto à formulação em estudo, mostrou-se estável quando submetida a uma temperatura de 54 ºC durante 14 dias, sendo que no final do ensaio a percentagem de peróxido de hidrogénio teórico se encontra dentro do intervalo obtido experimentalmente. Quanto ao parâmetro da densidade este não sofreu alterações e no parâmetro do pH as alterações que ocorreram já eram esperadas. Na segunda fase do projeto, analisou-se a atividade antibacteriana de superfícies porosas, tendo sido testadas duas amostras têxteis, com diferentes características. O produto em estudo apresentou atividade antibacteriana para as duas amostras têxteis para tempos de desinfeção até 7 dias de aplicação, para S. aureus, K. pneumoniae e E. coli. A análise da atividade antibacteriana em superfícies não porosas, correspondendo à terceira fase do projeto, sendo testadas amostras de alumínio. O desinfetante apresenta atividade antibacteriana até 48 h para S. aureus, no caso da K. pneumoniae apresenta atividade antibacteriana até 7 dias e, por último, para E. coli não apresenta atividade antibacteriana. A última fase da dissertação contemplou a análise da atividade antimicrobiana em superfícies do quotidiano, sendo que ocorreu total inibição fúngica e uma diminuição notória de colonização bacteriana após 7 dias de aplicação de desinfetante. Em conclusão, o desinfetante em estudo é um produto promissor no que toca à inibição de microrganismos em superfícies com características diferentes entre si. In recent years there has been a growing concern with hygiene, health and safety habits on part of society. Additionally, infections in sectors such as health and food industry have imposed the need to develop products that allow the assessment of quality and safety in the services and products available. Due to the demand, the company Success Gadget created an long term multi-surface disinfectant Therefore the work developed by the company, had the main goal to be the evaluation of the product in composition and in antimicrobial activity against the several microorganisms and applied in different surfaces. In the first phase of the project, the components of the formulation and theirstability were studied, been submitted to accelerated stability tests. Regarding the components of the formulation, the antibacterial activity of the active substances in the formulation, hydrogen peroxide and ethanol, is confirmed for the three bacteria (Staphylococcus aureus, Klebsiella pneumoniae and Escherichia coli) under study, it was stable when subjected to a temperature of 54 ºC for 14 days, and at the end of the test the theoretical percentage of hydrogen peroxide is within the range obtained experimentally. As for the density parameter, it did not undergo changes and the pH parameter, the changes that occurred were already expected. In the second stage of the project, the antibacterial activity of porous surface was analysed, two textile samples with different characteristics were tested. The product under study showed antibacterial activity for both textile samples for disinfection times up to 7 days of application, for S. aureus, K. pneumoniae and E. coli. On the analysis of antibacterial activity on non-porous surface, the third phase of the project, aluminium samples were tested. The disinfectant had antibacterial activity up to 48 h for S. aureus, in the case of K. pneumoniae it had antibacterial activity up to 7 days and, finally, for E. coli it had no antibacterial activity. The last phase of the work included the analysis of antimicrobial activity on everyday surfaces, with total fungal inhibition and notable decrease in bacteria colonization after 7 days of disinfectant application. In conclusion, the disinfectant under study is a promising product in terms of inhibiting microorganisms on surfaces with different characteristics.     Authors: Silva, Sara Daniela Ferreira;

    Os eletrólitos poliméricos sólidos (SPEs) são constituídos por polímeros, que ao serem dopados adquirem propriedades condutoras, possíveis de serem aplicados numa ampla variedade de dispositivos eletroquímicos, como sensores, baterias ou janelas inteligentes. Estes sistemas oferecem várias caraterísticas atrativas, nomeadamente boas propriedades eletroquímicas, baixo custo, alta segurança, redução de problemas associados às questões ambientais, eliminação de problemas associados a fuga de eletrólitos e boa flexibilidade. Para além disso o desenvolvimento de eletrólitos poliméricos naturais tem sido explorado para substituir os eletrólitos poliméricos sintéticos, de modo a combater problemas ambientais e apelar a uma maior sustentabilidade. O âmbito desta dissertação consiste na síntese de eletrólitos poliméricos de base natural, usando como biopolímero a fibroína de seda. Para a preparação destes SPEs, a matriz biopolimérica foi dopada com glicerol, dimetilsulfóxido (DMSO) e bis(trifluorometoxisulfonil)imida de lítio (LiTFSI). Os eletrólitos poliméricos preparados foram caraterizados recorrendo a diversas técnicas, tais como: calorimetria diferencial de varrimento (DSC), espetroscopia de ultravioletavisível (UV-vis), espetroscopia de impedância complexa, microscopia de força atómica (AFM), microscopia ótica polarizada (POM) e espetroscopia de infravermelho por transformada de Fourier (FTIR). A utilização de glicerol e de DMSO, bem como a otimização da concentração de LiTFSI na síntese, permitiu a preparação de materiais com características promissoras para a sua utilização como eletrólitos poliméricos. Os materiais preparados apresentam uma excelente condutividade iónica (atingindo em algumas amostras valores superiores a 10–3 S cm–1), bem como características térmicas e morfológicas adequadas para a sua utilização em dispositivos eletroquímicos, tais como baterias ou dispositivos electrocrómicos. Solid polymer electrolytes (SPEs) are formed by polymers, when doped, acquire conductive properties, that can be applied in a wide variety of electrochemical devices, such as sensors, batteries, or smart windows. These systems offer several attractive features, in particular, good electrochemical properties, low cost, high safety, reduction of problems associated with environmental issues, elimination of electrolyte leakage problems, and good flexibility. Besides that, the development of natural polymer electrolytes is being explored to replace synthetic polymer electrolytes, surpassing environmental issues and raising awareness for sustainability. The aim of this dissertation consists in the synthesis of natural polymer electrolytes, using silk fibroin as biopolymer. For the preparation of these polymer electrolytes, the biopolymeric matrix was doped with glycerol, dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO), and lithium bis(trifluoromethane)sulfonimide (LiTFSI). The solid polymer electrolytes were characterized by several techniques, such as: differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), ultraviolet-visible spectroscopy (UV-Vis), complex impedance spectroscopy, atomic force microscopy (AFM), polarized optical microscopy (POM) and Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR). The use of glycerol and DMSO, as well as the optimization of the concentration of LiTFSI in the synthesis, allowed the preparation of materials with promising characteristics for its use as polymeric electrolytes. The prepared materials have excellent ionic conductivity (in some samples reaching values greater than 10–3 S cm–1), as well as thermal and morphological characteristics suitable for their use in electrochemical devices, such as batteries or electrochromic devices.     Authors: Sousa, Sara Lima de;

    The personal care industry has witnessed significant growth, with the COVID-19 pandemic further accelerating the shift towards online channels. Overall, consumers have become increasingly conscious of environmental issues, leading to higher demands for sustainable practices, circular economy and waste reduction. However, there’s a significant portion of unmanageable waste from the industry that is hard to control, attributed to unsold, damaged, or near-expiry products that fail to reach the end consumer and end up in landfill. Driven by the market growth and sustainability awareness among Portuguese consumers, this study examines the feasibility of establishing a new platform that enables consumers to purchase near-expired or damaged personal care products at discounted prices. The research investigates the potential consumer profile using the Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB) framework, as well as identifies the drivers and barriers that influence the purchase intention of these products among Portuguese consumers, drawing on relevant literature. A mixed methods approach was used, resulting in 10 in-depth interviews from qualitative data, and an online questionnaire with 143 valid answers from quantitative data. The findings indicate that the purchase intention of these personal care products could be acceptable in the Portuguese market. Moreover, no significant barriers were identified as relevant, with consumers perceiving value for money and trying new products as key drivers of their purchase intention. Finally, two distinct consumer profiles emerged, reflecting different characteristics: one group focused on seeking bargains and saving money, while the other prioritized sustainability and preferred environmentally-friendly options. A indústria dos cuidados pessoais tem tido um crescimento significativo, com a pandemia COVID-19 a acelerar a transição para os canais online. No geral, os consumidores estão cada vez mais conscientes sobre questões ambientais, o que os leva a exigir práticas mais sustentáveis, economia circular e redução de resíduos. No entanto, uma parte deste desperdício está relacionado com má gestão de resíduos em produtos não vendidos, danificados, perto do fim de validade ou fora de stock, que acabam por nunca chegar ao consumidor final. Motivado pelo crescimento do mercado e consciência ambiental portuguesa, este estudo analisa a viabilidade da criação de uma plataforma que permita aos consumidores adquirir produtos de cuidados pessoais a preço reduzido que estejam perto do fim de validade ou danificados. A pesquisa investiga o potencial perfil do consumidor, assim como os potenciais impulsionadores e barreiras que influenciam a intenção de compra dos consumidores portugueses, de acordo com a revisão de literatura. A análise foi feita através de métodos mistos, onde foram realizadas 10 entrevistas qualitativas individuais e um questionário quantitativo online com 143 respostas válidas. Os resultados indicam que a intenção de compra tem um nível médio de aceitação no mercado português, não sendo identificadas barreiras significativas. Como principais impulsionadores, o custo benefício e a experimentação de novos produtos influenciam positivamente a intenção de compra. Por último, dois perfis de consumidores foram identificados: um grupo que procura um bom negócio para poupar dinheiro, e o outro que prioriza a sustentabilidade e compras ecológicas.

    Relatório de Estágio do Mestrado em Administração Público-Privada apresentado à Faculdade de Direito A propagação do plástico avança a um ritmo desmedido e os seus impactos no meioambiente e saúde humana sobrepõem-se às políticas ambientais restritivas ao plástico,desenvolvidas por diversas entidades internacionais e nacionais.Este trabalho teve como objetivo identificar os motivos da utilização do plástico, aspossíveis oportunidades para a sua redução e os promotores de políticas ambientaisrestritivas ao plástico e as ações que desenvolvem. Este trabalho teve ainda como objetivoscomprovar e medir o sucesso da implementação da Resolução do Conselho de Ministros(RCM) nº141/2018 no Instituto Português de Oncologia Francisco Gentil, E.P.E. (IPOC) erecolher perceções e sugestões de melhoria relativas à referida aplicação, à possível adoçãode produtos descartáveis não plásticos e bioplásticos pelo IPOC, ao impacto ambiental doIPOC, ao impacto da pandemia de Covid-19 no consumo de plástico descartável nainstituição e à relevância das políticas públicas no combate ao plástico.Os resultados do estudo teórico indicam que o plástico é utilizado devido ao seubaixo custo de produção, fácil adaptabilidade e pressão e influência dos lóbis da indústriaplástica e petrolífera. O desenvolvimento de novos bioplásticos constituí a principaloportunidade para a redução plástica. A Organização das Nações Unidas, a Organizaçãopara a Cooperação e Desenvolvimento Económico, a União Europeia, e, em Portugal, oMinistério do Ambiente e da Transição Energética e a Agência Portuguesa do Ambienteforam identificados como os principais promotores de políticas ambientais restritivas aoplástico.Os resultados referentes ao estudo de caso indicam que a implementação da RCMnº141/2018 no IPOC foi bem-sucedida e resultou na redução de 55% no consumo deprodutos descartáveis de plástico e de água engarrafada na instituição. The propagation of plastic keeps moving at a dramatic rhythm and its effects in theenvironment and Human health overcome the plastic restriction environmental policiesdevelop by a variety of international and national entities.This essay had the objectives of identifying the reasons for the plastic usage, thepossible opportunities to reduce it and the promotors of the plastic restriction environmentpolicies, as well as their work. It also had the objectives of proving and measuring the successof the implementation of the Resolution of the Council of the Ministers nº 141/2018 in theInstituto Português de Oncologia Francisco Gentil, E.P.E.

    Relatório de Estágio do Mestrado em Ensino de Geografia no 3º ciclo do Ensino Básico e no Ensino Secundário apresentado à Faculdade de Letras O presente relatório de estágio visa apresentar uma análise e reflexão das atividades letivas e extralectivas ao longo do Estágio Pedagógico Supervisionado, desenvolvido na Escola Secundária Dr.ª Maria Cândida, em Mira, durante o ano letivo 2020/2021. Além disso, pretendo efetuar uma reflexão da aplicação da estratégia didático-pedagógica, neste caso concreto a Aplicação dos Media na Educação Geográfica e Ambiental, caso específico do Jornal aplicado ao tema das Alterações Climáticas. O relatório está dividido em três partes. A primeira parte, onde é feita a descrição geral da escola, acompanhado do enquadramento geográfico, turma, núcleo de estágio e das atividades realizadas ao longo do estágio. A segunda parte, está direcionada para a reflexão teórica e científica associada ao tema da aplicação didática.O tema da componente científica é as Alterações Climáticas e os seus impactos na saúde humana, assim como o surgimento ou ressurgimento de doenças parasitárias na Europa. Na terceira parte é apresentada a estratégia didática, o jornal realizado pelos alunos, acompanhado dos resultados obtidos ao inquérito realizado aos professores do agrupamento e aos alunos sobre o mesmo. Neste capítulo também se encontra uma reflexão sobre o ensino à distância e os impactos na aprendizagem tanto nos professores como alunos. Os objetivos propostos para esta estratégia foram positivos, uma vez que obtive o feedback desejado por parte dos alunos, assim como toda a dedicação na construção do jornal. This internship report aims to present an analysis and reflection of teaching and extralegal activities throughout the Supervised Pedagogical Internship, developed in Escola Secundária Dr. ª Maria Cândida, in Mira, during the school year 2020/2021. In addition, I intend to reflect on the application of didactic-pedagogical strategy, in this specific case the Application of Media in Geographic and Environmental Education, the specific case of the newspaper applied to the theme of Climate Change.The report is divided in three parts. The first part, where the general description of the school is made, accompanied by the geographic framing, class, internship nucleus and the activities carried out throughout the internship. The second part is directed towards the theoretical and scientific reflection associated with the theme of didactic application. The theme of the scientific component is Climate Change and its impacts on human health, as well as the emergence or resurgence of parasitic diseases in Europe.In the third part, the didactic strategy is presented, the newspaper made by the students, accompanied by the results obtained from the survey carried out to the teachers of the grouping and to the students about it. In this chapter there is also a reflection on distance learning and the impacts on learning for both teachers and students. The objectives proposed for this strategy were positive, since I obtained the desired feedback from the students, as well as all the dedication in the construction of the newspaper.

    Authors: Santos, Ana Beatriz de Almeida;

    Authors: Ribeiro, João António Simões;

    Authors: Castro, Débora Francisca Baptista;

    Nos últimos anos tem-se observado uma crescente preocupação com os hábitos de higiene, saúde e segurança por parte da sociedade. Adicionalmente, as infeções em setores como a saúde e a indústria alimentar, impuseram a necessidade do desenvolvimento de produtos que permitam conferir qualidade e segurança aos serviços e produtos disponíveis. Face a esta procura, a empresa Success Gadget desenvolveu um desinfetante antimicrobiano multi-superfícies de longa duração. Assim, este trabalho desenvolvido na referida empresa teve como objetivo principal a avaliação deste produto, quer em termos de composição, quer em termos de atividade antimicrobiana contra vários microrganismos e aplicada em diferentes superfícies. Numa primeira fase deste projeto, foram estudados os componentes da formulação e a estabilidade da mesma, quando submetida a ensaios de estabilidade acelerada. Relativamente aos componentes da formulação confirma-se a atividade antibacteriana por parte das substâncias ativas da formulação, o peróxido de hidrogénio e o etanol, para as três bactérias em estudo, Staphylococcus aureus, Klebsiella pneumoniae e Escherichia coli. Quanto à formulação em estudo, mostrou-se estável quando submetida a uma temperatura de 54 ºC durante 14 dias, sendo que no final do ensaio a percentagem de peróxido de hidrogénio teórico se encontra dentro do intervalo obtido experimentalmente. Quanto ao parâmetro da densidade este não sofreu alterações e no parâmetro do pH as alterações que ocorreram já eram esperadas. Na segunda fase do projeto, analisou-se a atividade antibacteriana de superfícies porosas, tendo sido testadas duas amostras têxteis, com diferentes características. O produto em estudo apresentou atividade antibacteriana para as duas amostras têxteis para tempos de desinfeção até 7 dias de aplicação, para S. aureus, K. pneumoniae e E. coli. A análise da atividade antibacteriana em superfícies não porosas, correspondendo à terceira fase do projeto, sendo testadas amostras de alumínio. O desinfetante apresenta atividade antibacteriana até 48 h para S. aureus, no caso da K. pneumoniae apresenta atividade antibacteriana até 7 dias e, por último, para E. coli não apresenta atividade antibacteriana. A última fase da dissertação contemplou a análise da atividade antimicrobiana em superfícies do quotidiano, sendo que ocorreu total inibição fúngica e uma diminuição notória de colonização bacteriana após 7 dias de aplicação de desinfetante. Em conclusão, o desinfetante em estudo é um produto promissor no que toca à inibição de microrganismos em superfícies com características diferentes entre si. In recent years there has been a growing concern with hygiene, health and safety habits on part of society. Additionally, infections in sectors such as health and food industry have imposed the need to develop products that allow the assessment of quality and safety in the services and products available. Due to the demand, the company Success Gadget created an long term multi-surface disinfectant Therefore the work developed by the company, had the main goal to be the evaluation of the product in composition and in antimicrobial activity against the several microorganisms and applied in different surfaces. In the first phase of the project, the components of the formulation and theirstability were studied, been submitted to accelerated stability tests. Regarding the components of the formulation, the antibacterial activity of the active substances in the formulation, hydrogen peroxide and ethanol, is confirmed for the three bacteria (Staphylococcus aureus, Klebsiella pneumoniae and Escherichia coli) under study, it was stable when subjected to a temperature of 54 ºC for 14 days, and at the end of the test the theoretical percentage of hydrogen peroxide is within the range obtained experimentally. As for the density parameter, it did not undergo changes and the pH parameter, the changes that occurred were already expected. In the second stage of the project, the antibacterial activity of porous surface was analysed, two textile samples with different characteristics were tested. The product under study showed antibacterial activity for both textile samples for disinfection times up to 7 days of application, for S. aureus, K. pneumoniae and E. coli. On the analysis of antibacterial activity on non-porous surface, the third phase of the project, aluminium samples were tested. The disinfectant had antibacterial activity up to 48 h for S. aureus, in the case of K. pneumoniae it had antibacterial activity up to 7 days and, finally, for E. coli it had no antibacterial activity. The last phase of the work included the analysis of antimicrobial activity on everyday surfaces, with total fungal inhibition and notable decrease in bacteria colonization after 7 days of disinfectant application. In conclusion, the disinfectant under study is a promising product in terms of inhibiting microorganisms on surfaces with different characteristics.     Authors: Silva, Sara Daniela Ferreira;

    Os eletrólitos poliméricos sólidos (SPEs) são constituídos por polímeros, que ao serem dopados adquirem propriedades condutoras, possíveis de serem aplicados numa ampla variedade de dispositivos eletroquímicos, como sensores, baterias ou janelas inteligentes. Estes sistemas oferecem várias caraterísticas atrativas, nomeadamente boas propriedades eletroquímicas, baixo custo, alta segurança, redução de problemas associados às questões ambientais, eliminação de problemas associados a fuga de eletrólitos e boa flexibilidade. Para além disso o desenvolvimento de eletrólitos poliméricos naturais tem sido explorado para substituir os eletrólitos poliméricos sintéticos, de modo a combater problemas ambientais e apelar a uma maior sustentabilidade. O âmbito desta dissertação consiste na síntese de eletrólitos poliméricos de base natural, usando como biopolímero a fibroína de seda. Para a preparação destes SPEs, a matriz biopolimérica foi dopada com glicerol, dimetilsulfóxido (DMSO) e bis(trifluorometoxisulfonil)imida de lítio (LiTFSI). Os eletrólitos poliméricos preparados foram caraterizados recorrendo a diversas técnicas, tais como: calorimetria diferencial de varrimento (DSC), espetroscopia de ultravioletavisível (UV-vis), espetroscopia de impedância complexa, microscopia de força atómica (AFM), microscopia ótica polarizada (POM) e espetroscopia de infravermelho por transformada de Fourier (FTIR). A utilização de glicerol e de DMSO, bem como a otimização da concentração de LiTFSI na síntese, permitiu a preparação de materiais com características promissoras para a sua utilização como eletrólitos poliméricos. Os materiais preparados apresentam uma excelente condutividade iónica (atingindo em algumas amostras valores superiores a 10–3 S cm–1), bem como características térmicas e morfológicas adequadas para a sua utilização em dispositivos eletroquímicos, tais como baterias ou dispositivos electrocrómicos. Solid polymer electrolytes (SPEs) are formed by polymers, when doped, acquire conductive properties, that can be applied in a wide variety of electrochemical devices, such as sensors, batteries, or smart windows. These systems offer several attractive features, in particular, good electrochemical properties, low cost, high safety, reduction of problems associated with environmental issues, elimination of electrolyte leakage problems, and good flexibility. Besides that, the development of natural polymer electrolytes is being explored to replace synthetic polymer electrolytes, surpassing environmental issues and raising awareness for sustainability. The aim of this dissertation consists in the synthesis of natural polymer electrolytes, using silk fibroin as biopolymer. For the preparation of these polymer electrolytes, the biopolymeric matrix was doped with glycerol, dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO), and lithium bis(trifluoromethane)sulfonimide (LiTFSI). The solid polymer electrolytes were characterized by several techniques, such as: differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), ultraviolet-visible spectroscopy (UV-Vis), complex impedance spectroscopy, atomic force microscopy (AFM), polarized optical microscopy (POM) and Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR). The use of glycerol and DMSO, as well as the optimization of the concentration of LiTFSI in the synthesis, allowed the preparation of materials with promising characteristics for its use as polymeric electrolytes. The prepared materials have excellent ionic conductivity (in some samples reaching values greater than 10–3 S cm–1), as well as thermal and morphological characteristics suitable for their use in electrochemical devices, such as batteries or electrochromic devices.     Authors: Sousa, Sara Lima de;

    The personal care industry has witnessed significant growth, with the COVID-19 pandemic further accelerating the shift towards online channels. Overall, consumers have become increasingly conscious of environmental issues, leading to higher demands for sustainable practices, circular economy and waste reduction. However, there’s a significant portion of unmanageable waste from the industry that is hard to control, attributed to unsold, damaged, or near-expiry products that fail to reach the end consumer and end up in landfill. Driven by the market growth and sustainability awareness among Portuguese consumers, this study examines the feasibility of establishing a new platform that enables consumers to purchase near-expired or damaged personal care products at discounted prices. The research investigates the potential consumer profile using the Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB) framework, as well as identifies the drivers and barriers that influence the purchase intention of these products among Portuguese consumers, drawing on relevant literature. A mixed methods approach was used, resulting in 10 in-depth interviews from qualitative data, and an online questionnaire with 143 valid answers from quantitative data. The findings indicate that the purchase intention of these personal care products could be acceptable in the Portuguese market. Moreover, no significant barriers were identified as relevant, with consumers perceiving value for money and trying new products as key drivers of their purchase intention. Finally, two distinct consumer profiles emerged, reflecting different characteristics: one group focused on seeking bargains and saving money, while the other prioritized sustainability and preferred environmentally-friendly options. A indústria dos cuidados pessoais tem tido um crescimento significativo, com a pandemia COVID-19 a acelerar a transição para os canais online. No geral, os consumidores estão cada vez mais conscientes sobre questões ambientais, o que os leva a exigir práticas mais sustentáveis, economia circular e redução de resíduos. No entanto, uma parte deste desperdício está relacionado com má gestão de resíduos em produtos não vendidos, danificados, perto do fim de validade ou fora de stock, que acabam por nunca chegar ao consumidor final. Motivado pelo crescimento do mercado e consciência ambiental portuguesa, este estudo analisa a viabilidade da criação de uma plataforma que permita aos consumidores adquirir produtos de cuidados pessoais a preço reduzido que estejam perto do fim de validade ou danificados. A pesquisa investiga o potencial perfil do consumidor, assim como os potenciais impulsionadores e barreiras que influenciam a intenção de compra dos consumidores portugueses, de acordo com a revisão de literatura. A análise foi feita através de métodos mistos, onde foram realizadas 10 entrevistas qualitativas individuais e um questionário quantitativo online com 143 respostas válidas. Os resultados indicam que a intenção de compra tem um nível médio de aceitação no mercado português, não sendo identificadas barreiras significativas. Como principais impulsionadores, o custo benefício e a experimentação de novos produtos influenciam positivamente a intenção de compra. Por último, dois perfis de consumidores foram identificados: um grupo que procura um bom negócio para poupar dinheiro, e o outro que prioriza a sustentabilidade e compras ecológicas.

    Relatório de Estágio do Mestrado em Administração Público-Privada apresentado à Faculdade de Direito A propagação do plástico avança a um ritmo desmedido e os seus impactos no meioambiente e saúde humana sobrepõem-se às políticas ambientais restritivas ao plástico,desenvolvidas por diversas entidades internacionais e nacionais.Este trabalho teve como objetivo identificar os motivos da utilização do plástico, aspossíveis oportunidades para a sua redução e os promotores de políticas ambientaisrestritivas ao plástico e as ações que desenvolvem. Este trabalho teve ainda como objetivoscomprovar e medir o sucesso da implementação da Resolução do Conselho de Ministros(RCM) nº141/2018 no Instituto Português de Oncologia Francisco Gentil, E.P.E. (IPOC) erecolher perceções e sugestões de melhoria relativas à referida aplicação, à possível adoçãode produtos descartáveis não plásticos e bioplásticos pelo IPOC, ao impacto ambiental doIPOC, ao impacto da pandemia de Covid-19 no consumo de plástico descartável nainstituição e à relevância das políticas públicas no combate ao plástico.Os resultados do estudo teórico indicam que o plástico é utilizado devido ao seubaixo custo de produção, fácil adaptabilidade e pressão e influência dos lóbis da indústriaplástica e petrolífera. O desenvolvimento de novos bioplásticos constituí a principaloportunidade para a redução plástica. A Organização das Nações Unidas, a Organizaçãopara a Cooperação e Desenvolvimento Económico, a União Europeia, e, em Portugal, oMinistério do Ambiente e da Transição Energética e a Agência Portuguesa do Ambienteforam identificados como os principais promotores de políticas ambientais restritivas aoplástico.Os resultados referentes ao estudo de caso indicam que a implementação da RCMnº141/2018 no IPOC foi bem-sucedida e resultou na redução de 55% no consumo deprodutos descartáveis de plástico e de água engarrafada na instituição. The propagation of plastic keeps moving at a dramatic rhythm and its effects in theenvironment and Human health overcome the plastic restriction environmental policiesdevelop by a variety of international and national entities.This essay had the objectives of identifying the reasons for the plastic usage, thepossible opportunities to reduce it and the promotors of the plastic restriction environmentpolicies, as well as their work. It also had the objectives of proving and measuring the successof the implementation of the Resolution of the Council of the Ministers nº 141/2018 in theInstituto Português de Oncologia Francisco Gentil, E.P.E. (IPOC) and collecting perceptionsand improvement suggestions related to the referred implementation, the possible adoptionof noun plastic and bioplastic disposable products by the IPOC, the environmental impact ofIPOC, the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on the consumption of disposable plastic in theinstitution and the relevance of the public policies in the fight against plastic.The results of the theoretical study indicate that the plastic is used due to its lowcost of production, easy adaptability and the pressure and influence of the plastic and petrolindustries lobbying. The development of new bioplastics is the main opportunity to theplastic reduction. The United Nations, the Organisation for Economic Co-operation andDevelopment, the European Union, and, in Portugal, the Ministry of the Environment andEnergetic Transition and the Environment Portuguese Agency are the principal promotors ofthe plastic restriction environmental policies.The results of the case study indicate that the implementation of the RCMnº141/2018 in the IPOC was well succeed and resulted in a reduction of 55% in theconsumption of disposable plastic products and bottle water in the institution.
