    El texto muestra las premisas y conceptos de diseño que se dieron en la arquitectura moderna. El movimiento surgió como un rompimiento con las expresiones arquitectónicas de principios del siglo XX y en respuesta a la gran demanda de vivienda social en Europa durante las etapas de guerras y posguerras. Esta arquitectura ha sido ampliamente estudiada, por ello el enfoque es a partir de los conceptos bioclimáticos y de sustentabilidad que los principales exponentes de este movimiento abordaron o ignoraron en sus obras. Aunque este movimiento arquitectónico suele circunscribirse al periodo histórico entre las dos guerras mundiales, aquí se extiende en función de la obra producida por los principales exponentes y algunos de sus seguidores. No se pretende dar respuesta a todas las preguntas que pueden surgir a partir de los conceptos bioclimáticos y sustentables, sino simplemente apuntar los elementos básicos considerados. Es a partir de ellos que se abren varias líneas de investigación futura. ; The purpose of this document is to present, in a brief way, the premises and design concepts that were given in modern architecture. The emergence of this movement occurred as a break with the architectural expressions of the early twentieth century, and in response to the great demand for social housing in Europe during the stages of wars and post-wars. This period of the history of architecture is widely studied, so the approach in this paper is based on the bioclimatic and sustainability concepts that the main exponents of this movement considered or ignored in their works and under what premises they were given. Although this architectural movement is usually circumscribed to the historical period between the two World Wars, it extends here according to the work produced by the main exponents and some of their followers. It is not intended to answer all the questions that may arise from bioclimatic and sustainable concepts, but simply to point out the basic elements considered. It is from them that several lines of ...

    Este artículo examina las relaciones diplomáticas y comerciales de China con los Estados árabes del Golfo Pérsico, países que tienen una relevancia estratégica para Beijing, debido a que se encuentran entre los principales proveedores de petróleo y gas natural de China. En este trabajo se analizan los alcances e implicaciones que tendrá la Iniciativa de la Franja y la Ruta en la región, propuesta por China en 2013, en busca de mejorar la integración de China con Eurasia con la construcción de infraestructura para acortar las distancias entre el núcleo industrial de China y sus principales mercados de exportación. ; Th is article reviews China’s trade and diplomatic relations with the Arab States of the Persian Gulf. Th ese countries are of strategic importance to Beijing, as they are among the top oil and liquefi ed natural gas suppliers to China. In addition to a brief historical review of the bilateral ties between China and the Gulf countries, this paper analyses the implications that the Belt and Road Initiative would have in this particular region. Due to the strategic location of the Persian Gulf, as a crossroads between the East and West, this area became crucial to the development of the strategy proposed by the Chinese President, Xi Jinping, in 2013. Th is Initiative could be understood as a master plan that aims to improve Chinese integration with Eurasia, enhancing connectivity on several areas, including the building of infrastructure projects that will shorten the distances between China’s industrial hub and their main export markets.

    The first law of thermodynamics deals with the transfer of energy between a system and its environment in such a way that in a typical process heat is transferred to the system and it performs work. It can be said that in other words, a conversion is carried out in which the energy arrives in the form of heat and leaves in the form of work. In this law, calculations of its micro states arise from this law, which are analyzed previously after being calculated and thus determine a conclusion. This work is part of a research field that contributes to a better understanding of the second law of thermodynamics, its variables, formulas, etc. And also of entropy with the same variables belonging to it. We adopt the methodology of a conceptual map with the most important points that describe the subject ; La segunda ley de la termodinámica trata de la transferencia de energía entre un sistema y su entorno de tal forma que en un proceso típico se cede calor al sistema y este realiza un trabajo. Se puede decir que en otras palabras, se realiza una conversión en el que la energía llega en forma de calor y sale en forma de trabajo. En esta ley surgen cálculos de sus micro estados de esta ley, mismos que son analizados previamente después de ser calculados y así determinar una conclusión. En el presente trabajo se inscribe dentro de un campo de investigación en el que se contribuya a un mejor entendimiento de la segunda ley de la termodinámica, sus variables, formulas etc. Y también de la entropía con las mismas variables pertenecientes a la misma. Adoptamos la metodología de un mapa conceptual con los puntos más importantes que describen al tema.

    In the oceans there is a large and diverse group of small aquatic crustaceans, the copepods. Although we cannot see them with the naked eye, they are very important in maintaining the balance of nutrients and energy in the seas. However, the effects of climate change, such as rising temperatures in the sea, can affect copepods. Several studies have shown that functions such as reproduction, development and growth can be altered, and in severe cases they can even die. The study of copepods has given us clues to predict the effects of climate change on the oceans. For that reason, is interesting learn more about copepods and their relationship with climate change. ; En los océanos existen un grupo amplio y diverso de pequeños crustáceos acuáticos, los copépodos. Aunque no podemos verlos a simple vista, son muy importantes para mantener el equilibrio de los nutrientes y energía en los mares. Sin embargo, los efectos del cambio climático, como el aumento de la temperatura en el mar, puede afectar a los copépodos. Varios estudios han demostrado que se pueden alterar funciones como en la reproducción, el desarrollo, crecimiento y en casos graves pueden hasta morir. El estudio de los copépodos nos ha dado pistas para predecir los efectos del cambio climático en los océanos. Por eso es interesante conocer más sobre los copépodos y su relación con el cambio climático.

    Este proyecto se centró en la investigación de la degradación de pañales desechables mediante codigestión anaerobia, usando pasto como co-sustrato, a 30°C, por un tiempo de 45 días. Se utilizaron tres volúmenes de trabajo (10L, 1 L y 100 mL) y cinco combinaciones diferentes de sustratos (pasto BPTO, pañal con plástico BPCP, mezcla de 50% pasto y 50% pañal con plástico y mezcla de 50% pasto y 50% pañal sin plástico PPSP, para determinar los factores que influyen en el proceso. Los análisis fisicoquímicos en diferentes tiempos muestran una reducción en solidos totales de 13% a 11% para BPCP y de 11% a 10% para los tratamientos que incluyen pasto y pañal; la materia orgánica se redujo entre 30% y 50% para los 5 tratamientos y la celulosa del pañal tuvo una degradación de alrededor de 20%. El pH se mantuvo entre 7 y 8 durante el proceso. El volumen de biogás producido fue en promedio 52.9 mLbiogas/gsT para los reactores de 100 mL. En los tratamientos de pañal fue de 18.25 y en los de pasto menor a 15mLbiogas/gsT en los reactores de 1L. En reactores de 10L fue de 0.48 mLbiogas/gsT para los tratamientos sin pasto y 0.28 para los de mezcla con pañal y pasto. En cuanto a composición del biogás, la proporción de CO2 fue hasta 5 veces más que la de CH4 en los tratamientos control, con producciones de metano entre 4-11% en los reactores de pañal y para las mezclas de sustratos entre 10-25% de CH4. Por lo tanto se concluye que la codigestión con residuos de poda mejora el proceso y ayuda a la degradación de pañales desechables mediante este método. 116 páginas.     Authors: Doménech Ballester, Luis.; Renau Martínez, Jordi.; Sakalyté, Asta.; Sánchez López, Fernando.;

    Este artículo se encuentra disponible en la siguiente URL: https://www.mdpi.com/2079-6412/10/7/685 ; Este artículo pertenece al número especial "Recent trends in coatings and thin film?modeling and application". ; Top coating are usually moulded, painted or sprayed onto the wind blade Leading-Edge surface to prevent rain erosion due to transverse repeated droplet impacts. Wear fatigue failure analysis based on Springer model has been widely referenced and validated to quantitatively predict damage initiation. The model requires liquid, coating and substrate speed of sound measurements as constant input parameters to define analytically the shockwave progression due to their relative vibro-acoustic properties. The modelling assumes a pure elastic material behavior during the impact event. Recent coating technologies applied to prevent erosion are based on viscoelastic materials and develop high-rate transient pressure build-up and a subsequent relaxation in a range of strain rates. In order to analyze the erosion performance by using Springer model, appropriate impedance characterization for such viscoelastic materials is then required and represents the main objective of this work to avoid lack of accuracy. In the first part of this research, it is proposed a modelling methodology that allows one to evaluate the frequency dependent strain-stress behavior of the multilayer coating system under single droplet impingement. The computational tool ponders the operational conditions (impact velocity, droplet size, layer thickness, etc.) with the appropriate variable working frequency range for the speed of sound measurements. The second part of this research defines in a complementary paper, the ultrasonic testing characterization of di erent viscoelastic coatings and the methodology validation. The modelling framework is then used to identify suitable coating and substrate combinations due to their acoustic matching optimization and to analyze the anti-erosion performance of the coating protection system.

  • Authors: Correa Alejandri, María Fernanda;

    El Reino de Arabia Saudita (RAS) implementó en 2017 un proyecto denominado Visión 2030, el cual posee como objetivo esencial la diversificación del mercado saudí y el desarrollo económico de la nación. A través de dichas reformas estructurales se desprende NEOM, una megaciudad con tintes futuristas, la cual no estará regida bajo los preceptos islámicos y de la que se esperan importantes ventajas económicas. En el presente artículo se aborda la construcción de este proyecto a través de los intereses geopolíticos que persigue, así como el impacto espacial que de él se derivan: dinámicas de despojo, desplazamiento y una distribución desigual de la riqueza. Con lo anterior, se propone cuestionar su viabilidad en términos energéticos y sociales.

    Authors: ARANGO ESCORCIA, GABRIELA; 688853; Arango Escorcia, Gabriela;

    Este proyecto se centró en la investigación de la degradación de pañales desechables mediante codigestión anaerobia, usando pasto como co-sustrato, a 30°C, por un tiempo de 45 días. Se utilizaron tres volúmenes de trabajo (10L, 1 L y 100 mL) y cinco combinaciones diferentes de sustratos (pasto BPTO, pañal con plástico BPCP, mezcla de 50% pasto y 50% pañal con plástico y mezcla de 50% pasto y 50% pañal sin plástico PPSP, para determinar los factores que influyen en el proceso. Los análisis fisicoquímicos en diferentes tiempos muestran una reducción en solidos totales de 13% a 11% para BPCP y de 11% a 10% para los tratamientos que incluyen pasto y pañal; la materia orgánica se redujo entre 30% y 50% para los 5 tratamientos y la celulosa del pañal tuvo una degradación de alrededor de 20%. El pH se mantuvo entre 7 y 8 durante el proceso. El volumen de biogás producido fue en promedio 52.9 mLbiogas/gsT para los reactores de 100 mL. En los tratamientos de pañal fue de 18.25 y en los de pasto menor a 15mLbiogas/gsT en los reactores de 1L. En reactores de 10L fue de 0.48 mLbiogas/gsT para los tratamientos sin pasto y 0.28 para los de mezcla con pañal y pasto. En cuanto a composición del biogás, la proporción de CO2 fue hasta 5 veces más que la de CH4 en los tratamientos control, con producciones de metano entre 4-11% en los reactores de pañal y para las mezclas de sustratos entre 10-25% de CH4. Por lo tanto se concluye que la codigestión con residuos de poda mejora el proceso y ayuda a la degradación de pañales desechables mediante este método. 116 páginas.

  • Authors: Correa Alejandri, María Fernanda;

    El Reino de Arabia Saudita (RAS) implementó en 2017 un proyecto denominado Visión 2030, el cual posee como objetivo esencial la diversificación del mercado saudí y el desarrollo económico de la nación. A través de dichas reformas estructurales se desprende NEOM, una megaciudad con tintes futuristas, la cual no estará regida bajo los preceptos islámicos y de la que se esperan importantes ventajas económicas. En el presente artículo se aborda la construcción de este proyecto a través de los intereses geopolíticos que persigue, así como el impacto espacial que de él se derivan: dinámicas de despojo, desplazamiento y una distribución desigual de la riqueza. Con lo anterior, se propone cuestionar su viabilidad en términos energéticos y sociales.
