    Today apartment dwellers generally tend to be individualistic righteously urban middleclass society in general. Unlike the situation in the neighborhood, where the level of socialization on the surrounding community is still quite high due to the surrounding community still likes hanging out with the neighbors, especially in the afternoon. Issues raised here is the lack of socialization that occurs between the residents in the apartment. Garden Living means “life park”. Garden is a garden that is as a place of socialization for residents and surrounding communities. Garden Living itself is to make the park as a place to socialize and interact with fellow residents of the apartment and the garden is also a gathering place for the general public. Lack of facilities to accommodate the occupants to socialize the reason the construction of an apartment that has an garden and is expected to become a place to socialize for the residents of the apartment. For the people who live around the apartment also will be built a public park so that people can still socialize and gather together. Taking the concept of Green Architecture or Sustainable Architecture, the building is minimal in consumption of natural resources, including energy, water, materials, and minimal negative impact on the environment.     The purpose of this study is to analyze conversion of waste into biogas cattle against the income of the people in Karo and Deli Serdang. This study use primary data through questionnaires and interviews to people who are or have been managing the biogas from cattle waster in Karo and Deli Serdang. The analytical methods used in this study are descriptive statistics and multiple linier regression. The resuld showed that the time use of biogas, the price of cow manure and the number of dependents simultaneously positive and significant impact on people’s income. The time use of biogas is partially not significant positive effect on people’s income and the price of cow manure partially not significant positive effect on people’s income and the number of dependents partially positive effect is not significant to people’s income 100501159

    Energy is needed by people but sooner or later the world's oil reserves will be depleted. Generally energy needs are dominated by fossil fuels such as petroleum, natural gas and coal. It is time for Indonesia to reduce dependence on fossil fuels by developing alternative fuels that are renewable and environmentally friendly (renewable). There are three types of alternative energy that can be researched and developed in the world today such as biodiesel, bioethanol and biogas. One potential alternative to be developed was the use of bioethanol. Bioethanol is an alternative fuel that is processed from plants (biomass) by fermentation. In this study, the raw material used to make bioethanol is jackfruit seeds. During this time only used as a jackfruit seeds that only a small proportion of waste utilized as livestock feed and even largely discarded. In fact, if further processed jackfruit seeds can provide added value. This research aims to make bioethanol with various concentrations of yeast and fermentation time. The main process is hydrolysis fermentation using yeast Saccharomyces Cereviciae; and purification by distillation. The variables used were changes in the concentration of yeast 3, 6, 9%; and fermentation time 2, 3, 4 days. From the analysis of the research results obtained bioethanol yield per amount of raw materials best start was 10.9 ml/kg with a density of 0.959 g/ml and the calorific value sebasar 196.899 kkal/kg, ie at 9% concentration variation yeast and fermentation time 3 days. 130425007

    Foreign visitors who visit a place will continue to increase every year when tourism facilities and recreational appeal of the place also continues to increase. With the advent of Kualanamu International Airport in Deli Serdang, North Sumatra, Indonesia, and already implemented the concept of town planning Aerotropolis around the airport, leading to the increasing potential of tourism in Deli Serdang district. Needs tourism facilities will continue to increase by an increasing number of local and foreign visitors. The number of tourist arrivals via air transportation to North Sumatra in the last five years (2011-2015) there was an increase on average by 0.2% per year (BPS Prov. North Sumatra, December 2015).     130304144 The objective of the research was to find out the influence of climate change on wet field rice production in North Sumatera Province, especially in the production centers (Deli Serdang Regency, Serdang Bedagai Regency, Simalungun Regency, Langkat Regency, and Tapanuli Tengah Regency). The variable of climate could influence wet field rice production for decreasing the influence of climate change; some variables which could be controlled were used in the research panel data in order to decrease the effect of climate change. The result of the research showed that uncontrolled variables were as follows: when temperature had significant influence in each increase of 1oC, production would increase 14,554.79 tons or 0.62 ton/MT. In each increase of 1mmof rainfall, the production would increase 51,772 tons, and in each increase of 1% in the level of moisture, the production would increase 1,233.638 tons. For controlled variables, when harvest area had significant influence with the addition of 1 hectare, the production would increase 5,650 tons/MT, and when subsidized fertilizers increased to 1 ton, the production would increase to 0.773 ton. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimana perubahan iklim mempengaruhi produksi di Provinsi Sumatera Utara, khususnya sentra produksi (Kabupaten Deli Serdang, Kabupaten Serdang Bedagai, Kabupaten Simalungun, Kabupaten Langkat, Kabupaten Tapanuli Tengah). Variabel iklim mampu mempengaruhi produksi padi sawah, untuk mengurangi pengaruh dari perubahan iklim, beberapa variabel yang dapat dikontrol dipergunakan dalam data panel penelitian, agar mampu mengurangi efek dari perubahan iklim. Hasil penelitian diperoleh variabel tidak terkontol yaitu, suhu berpengaruh signifikan dengan setiap kenaikan 1oC maka produksi meningkat 14554.79 ton atau 0,62 ton/MT, Setiap kenaikan 1mm curah hujan maka produksi akan meningkat 51.772 ton dan setiap kenaikan 1% tingkat kelembaban maka produksi akan meningkat 1233.638 ton. Untuk variabel terkontrol luas panen berpengaruh signfikan dengan kenaikan 1 Ha, maka produksi meningkat 5.650 ton/MT dan pupuk subsidi setiap kenaikan 1 ton, maka produksi meningkat 0.773 ton.

    Study of biomass is an important step to make a quantitative assessment of the role of a carbon forest to absorb certain glass house. In the study, tree biomass allometric equation used to determine the relationship between tree size (diameter or height) with a dry weight of the tree as a whole. This study aims to determine the amount of carbon storage and carbon absorption value and mapping of vegetation on the green line in the path of secondary arterial city field. The location of study are the green line of Singamangaraja Road, Gatot Subroto Road, Sunggal Road, Brigjen Zein Hamid Road, Brigjen Katamso Road, H.M. Joni Road and Armada Road. Based on the research the value of the biomass was 1190.253 ton/Ha. Value biomass, carbon storage, and CO2 uptake is not only influenced by the amount of broad lines of research and the amount of vegetation that is therein, but also influenced by the type of vegetation that shows great value for the density of the vegetation itself, which is used in the calculation models alometrik to find the value of biomass, carbon storage and CO2 uptake. 111201113

    Bio-Carbon Briquette is one of the fuels derived from biomass. Biomass used in this research are Cow Manure and compost heap. The aim of this research was to utilize waste biomass of cow manure and compost heap, as an alternative fuel briquettes in accordance to standard quality. A factorial completely randomized design was used with 2 factors. i.e. concentrating on cow manure (20, 30 and 40%) and kind of compost heap (piece of coconut shell and husk). Parameters observed were water content, ash content and calorific value,. The results showed that the concentration of cow manure had no effect on the water content and calorific value, but had highly significantly affected the ash content. The compost heap had highly significantly affected the water content, ash content and calorific value. The interaction of treatment had highly significantly affected the ash content and had no effect on water content and calorific value. The results showed that water content, ash content and calorific value has fullfilled the National Standard Quality of Indonesia. 050308011

    Measurement of biomass and carbon was very important to know how much the amount of carbon that can be absorbed by plants. Object of this research was the ground cover at Center Research and Development of Environmental and Forestry Aek Nauli of North Sumatera. The method of measurement used was the destructive sampling method that was by harvesting the entire plant was located on the bottom of 1m×1m sample plots as much as 30 sample plots. The result of this research indicate that there were 33 species of ground cover. Carbon stock in the ground cover at agroforestry coffee with the main plant of suren was 0.59 ton/ha and the ground cover in stand pine was 0.29 ton/ha. Based on statistical analysis of carbon stock ground cover at agroforestry coffe with the main plant of suren and pine stand significantly different. The difference of carbon stock was caused by difference in the structure and composition of stands. 121201167

    The objectives of this research are (1) to analyze the changing patterns of soil quality, water quality and Methane (CH4) due to cropping index improvement, (2) to analyze productivity and economic due to the increasing of rice cultivation intensity at technical irrigated rice field, (3) to arrange the optimum model of intensive rice cultivation at technical irrigated rice field by Integrated Crop Management (ICM) approach with low methane emission sustainably, and (4) to analyze sustainable index of optimum model of intensive rice cultivation with cropping index improvement at technical irrigated rice field and (5) to arrange the policy strategy in the implementation of optimum model of intensive rice cultivation at technical irrigated rice field by Integrated Crop Management (ICM) with low methane emission sustainably. This research used split plot design. The treatment of irrigation systems as the main split plot factor is intermittent irrigation and continuous system (flooded) and fertilization as sub plot factor which is fertilization treatment are applied, based on the Recommendation of the Minister of Agriculture No. 40/2007 and based on laboratory analysis recommendation with 8 levels of fertilization treatment with 3 replications. Data analysis for soil quality, water, methane emissions, production and rice productivity are done by analysis of variance (ANOVA) and for the analysis of production, productivity and the methane emission are continued into Duncan Multiple Range Test (DMRT) test. Further sustainability analysis of the RAPFISH modification is called Rapfarm (Rapid Appraisal for Farming) by using the multidimensional scaling (MDS) method, to arrange the scenario is used dynamic model systems approach. The result of study showed that intensive rice cultivation by increasing of planting intensity did not reduce soil and water quality and methane emission can be pushed until 66,05%. Cultivation of intensive rice by increasing of planting season up to four planting seasons in a year by ICM approach can increase rice production and productivity up to 30% and also increase farmer’s income significantly. Optimum Model of intensive rice cultivation is by planting rice for four times a year with the planting pattern of rice-rice-rice-rice by using ICM system especially by using intermittent irrigation system and fertilization appropriate for plant nutrients (recommendation from result of laboratory analysis with the dosage 100% plus probiotic). The value of methane with optimum model application can be reduced significantly from 218.826.889,43 kg CH4 to 397.181,03 kg CH4 in 2030. The value of sustainable index of optimum model of intensive rice cultivation has range between 42,84-66,54 (included in the category of sufficiency) and the result of statistical test showed that RAP-INLASIT-IP 400 method is good enough to be used as one of the devices to evaluate the sustainability implementation optimum model of intensive rice cultivation on technical irrigated rice field. 098106004

    The purpose of this research is to test the influence of Media Exposure, Profitability, Firm Size, Environmental Performance, Leverage And Good Corporate Governance to Carbon Emission Disclosure. Media Exposure, Profitability, Firm Size, Environmental Performance, Leverage And Good Corporate Governance are independent variables in this study. Carbon Emission Disclosure as dependent variable is measured using checklist that was developed based on the information request sheets provided by the carbon disclosure project (CDP). The population of this research are manufacturing companies that listed in the year 2012 up to 2014, which publishes an annual report and audited on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (BEI). By using purposive sampling method and obtained a total sample of 19 companies per year. Methods of analysis of this research include statistic descriptive analysis, test classic assumptions, hypothesis testing,and multiple linier analysis so the data could analyzed by using SPSS software version 21. Results from this study indicate that Media Exposure and Environmental perofrmance significantly influence to the extent of carbon emission disclosure. Meanwhile Profitability, Firm Size, Leverage And Good Corporate Governance had no significantly influence to the extent of carbon emission disclosure. 120503122

    Today apartment dwellers generally tend to be individualistic righteously urban middleclass society in general. Issues raised here is the lack of socialization that occurs between the residents in the apartment. Garden Living means “life park”. Garden is a garden that is as a place of socialization for residents and surrounding communities. Garden Living itself is to make the park as a place to socialize and interact with fellow residents of the apartment and the garden is also a gathering place for the general public. Lack of facilities to accommodate the occupants to socialize the reason the construction of an apartment that has an garden and is expected to become a place to socialize for the residents of the apartment.     The purpose of this study is to analyze conversion of waste into biogas cattle against the income of the people in Karo and Deli Serdang. This study use primary data through questionnaires and interviews to people who are or have been managing the biogas from cattle waster in Karo and Deli Serdang. The analytical methods used in this study are descriptive statistics and multiple linier regression. The resuld showed that the time use of biogas, the price of cow manure and the number of dependents simultaneously positive and significant impact on people’s income.     Energy is needed by people but sooner or later the world's oil reserves will be depleted. Generally energy needs are dominated by fossil fuels such as petroleum, natural gas and coal. It is time for Indonesia to reduce dependence on fossil fuels by developing alternative fuels that are renewable and environmentally friendly (renewable). There are three types of alternative energy that can be researched and developed in the world today such as biodiesel, bioethanol and biogas. One potential alternative to be developed was the use of bioethanol. Bioethanol is an alternative fuel that is processed from plants (biomass) by fermentation. In this study, the raw material used to make bioethanol is jackfruit seeds. During this time only used as a jackfruit seeds that only a small proportion of waste utilized as livestock feed and even largely discarded. In fact, if further processed jackfruit seeds can provide added value. This research aims to make bioethanol with various concentrations of yeast and fermentation time. The main process is hydrolysis fermentation using yeast Saccharomyces Cereviciae; and purification by distillation. The variables used were changes in the concentration of yeast 3, 6, 9%; and fermentation time 2, 3, 4 days. From the analysis of the research results obtained bioethanol yield per amount of raw materials best start was 10.9 ml/kg with a density of 0.959 g/ml and the calorific value sebasar 196.899 kkal/kg, ie at 9% concentration variation yeast and fermentation time 3 days. 130425007

    130304144 The objective of the research was to find out the influence of climate change on wet field rice production in North Sumatera Province, especially in the production centers (Deli Serdang Regency, Serdang Bedagai Regency, Simalungun Regency, Langkat Regency, and Tapanuli Tengah Regency). The variable of climate could influence wet field rice production for decreasing the influence of climate change; some variables which could be controlled were used in the research panel data in order to decrease the effect of climate change. The result of the research showed that uncontrolled variables were as follows: when temperature had significant influence in each increase of 1oC, production would increase 14,554.79 tons or 0.62 ton/MT. In each increase of 1mmof rainfall, the production would increase 51,772 tons, and in each increase of 1% in the level of moisture, the production would increase 1,233.638 tons. For controlled variables, when harvest area had significant influence with the addition of 1 hectare, the production would increase 5,650 tons/MT, and when subsidized fertilizers increased to 1 ton, the production would increase to 0.773 ton. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimana perubahan iklim mempengaruhi produksi di Provinsi Sumatera Utara, khususnya sentra produksi (Kabupaten Deli Serdang, Kabupaten Serdang Bedagai, Kabupaten Simalungun, Kabupaten Langkat, Kabupaten Tapanuli Tengah). Variabel iklim mampu mempengaruhi produksi padi sawah, untuk mengurangi pengaruh dari perubahan iklim, beberapa variabel yang dapat dikontrol dipergunakan dalam data panel penelitian, agar mampu mengurangi efek dari perubahan iklim. Hasil penelitian diperoleh variabel tidak terkontol yaitu, suhu berpengaruh signifikan dengan setiap kenaikan 1oC maka produksi meningkat 14554.79 ton atau 0,62 ton/MT, Setiap kenaikan 1mm curah hujan maka produksi akan meningkat 51.772 ton dan setiap kenaikan 1% tingkat kelembaban maka produksi akan meningkat 1233.638 ton. Untuk variabel terkontrol luas panen berpengaruh signfikan dengan kenaikan 1 Ha, maka produksi meningkat 5.650 ton/MT dan pupuk subsidi setiap kenaikan 1 ton, maka produksi meningkat 0.773 ton.

    Study of biomass is an important step to make a quantitative assessment of the role of a carbon forest to absorb certain glass house. In the study, tree biomass allometric equation used to determine the relationship between tree size (diameter or height) with a dry weight of the tree as a whole. This study aims to determine the amount of carbon storage and carbon absorption value and mapping of vegetation on the green line in the path of secondary arterial city field. The location of study are the green line of Singamangaraja Road, Gatot Subroto Road, Sunggal Road, Brigjen Zein Hamid Road, Brigjen Katamso Road, H.M. Joni Road and Armada Road. Based on the research the value of the biomass was 1190.253 ton/Ha.     Bio-Carbon Briquette is one of the fuels derived from biomass. Biomass used in this research are Cow Manure and compost heap. The aim of this research was to utilize waste biomass of cow manure and compost heap, as an alternative fuel briquettes in accordance to standard quality. A factorial completely randomized design was used with 2 factors. i.e. concentrating on cow manure (20, 30 and 40%) and kind of compost heap (piece of coconut shell and husk). Parameters observed were water content, ash content and calorific value,. The results showed that the concentration of cow manure had no effect on the water content and calorific value, but had highly significantly affected the ash content. The compost heap had highly significantly affected the water content, ash content and calorific value. The interaction of treatment had highly significantly affected the ash content and had no effect on water content and calorific value. The results showed that water content, ash content and calorific value has fullfilled the National Standard Quality of Indonesia. 050308011

    Measurement of biomass and carbon was very important to know how much the amount of carbon that can be absorbed by plants. Object of this research was the ground cover at Center Research and Development of Environmental and Forestry Aek Nauli of North Sumatera. The method of measurement used was the destructive sampling method that was by harvesting the entire plant was located on the bottom of 1m×1m sample plots as much as 30 sample plots. The result of this research indicate that there were 33 species of ground cover. Carbon stock in the ground cover at agroforestry coffee with the main plant of suren was 0.59 ton/ha and the ground cover in stand pine was 0.29 ton/ha. Based on statistical analysis of carbon stock ground cover at agroforestry coffe with the main plant of suren and pine stand significantly different. The difference of carbon stock was caused by difference in the structure and composition of stands. 121201167

    The objectives of this research are (1) to analyze the changing patterns of soil quality, water quality and Methane (CH4) due to cropping index improvement, (2) to analyze productivity and economic due to the increasing of rice cultivation intensity at technical irrigated rice field, (3) to arrange the optimum model of intensive rice cultivation at technical irrigated rice field by Integrated Crop Management (ICM) approach with low methane emission sustainably, and (4) to analyze sustainable index of optimum model of intensive rice cultivation with cropping index improvement at technical irrigated rice field and (5) to arrange the policy strategy in the implementation of optimum model of intensive rice cultivation at technical irrigated rice field by Integrated Crop Management (ICM) with low methane emission sustainably. This research used split plot design. The treatment of irrigation systems as the main split plot factor is intermittent irrigation and continuous system (flooded) and fertilization as sub plot factor which is fertilization treatment are applied, based on the Recommendation of the Minister of Agriculture No. 40/2007 and based on laboratory analysis recommendation with 8 levels of fertilization treatment with 3 replications. Data analysis for soil quality, water, methane emissions, production and rice productivity are done by analysis of variance (ANOVA) and for the analysis of production, productivity and the methane emission are continued into Duncan Multiple Range Test (DMRT) test. Further sustainability analysis of the RAPFISH modification is called Rapfarm (Rapid Appraisal for Farming) by using the multidimensional scaling (MDS) method, to arrange the scenario is used dynamic model systems approach. The result of study showed that intensive rice cultivation by increasing of planting intensity did not reduce soil and water quality and methane emission can be pushed until 66,05%. Cultivation of intensive rice by increasing of planting season up to four planting seasons in a year by ICM approach can increase rice production and productivity up to 30% and also increase farmer’s income significantly. Optimum Model of intensive rice cultivation is by planting rice for four times a year with the planting pattern of rice-rice-rice-rice by using ICM system especially by using intermittent irrigation system and fertilization appropriate for plant nutrients (recommendation from result of laboratory analysis with the dosage 100% plus probiotic). The value of methane with optimum model application can be reduced significantly from 218.826.889,43 kg CH4 to 397.181,03 kg CH4 in 2030. The value of sustainable index of optimum model of intensive rice cultivation has range between 42,84-66,54 (included in the category of sufficiency) and the result of statistical test showed that RAP-INLASIT-IP 400 method is good enough to be used as one of the devices to evaluate the sustainability implementation optimum model of intensive rice cultivation on technical irrigated rice field. 098106004

    The purpose of this research is to test the influence of Media Exposure, Profitability, Firm Size, Environmental Performance, Leverage And Good Corporate Governance to Carbon Emission Disclosure. Media Exposure, Profitability, Firm Size, Environmental Performance, Leverage And Good Corporate Governance are independent variables in this study. Carbon Emission Disclosure as dependent variable is measured using checklist that was developed based on the information request sheets provided by the carbon disclosure project (CDP). The population of this research are manufacturing companies that listed in the year 2012 up to 2014, which publishes an annual report and audited on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (BEI). By using purposive sampling method and obtained a total sample of 19 companies per year. Methods of analysis of this research include statistic descriptive analysis, test classic assumptions, hypothesis testing,and multiple linier analysis so the data could analyzed by using SPSS software version 21. Results from this study indicate that Media Exposure and Environmental perofrmance significantly influence to the extent of carbon emission disclosure.
