We aim to make all the past, current, and future biological and oceanographic data available to everybody. Therefore, we will use relevant sleeping data, by designing new tools and methodologies to use and process relevant data already collected for different institutions, which may come from physical and chemical sensors, or video cameras. We will also harmonize the data, promoting tools to make them the standard among researchers and data-generator actors, developing protocols and best practices, like standardization tools as PUCK among marine sensors and monitoring platforms, and unifying libraries and resources (e.g., FanthomNet or Emodnet). At the same time, we will ensure a secured, sustained and reliable data flows by developing auto correction/validation methodologies and by publishing a set of tools and pipelines to ensure the trustfulness of data. Moreover, we will be using economies of scale and enhanced standardization to conduct several pilot sea-basin scale monitoring tests using two strategies: (1) using existing relevant sleeping data form online and partner repositories, and (2) using new data collected during field test demonstrations. Here, we will develop tools to better support assessment: studying and identifying key indicators and mechanisms to extract them from the data will generate the appropriate guidelines for policymaker, researchers, and socioeconomic sectors. Making those tools, methodologies, and implementations open source for the researchers and public in general will boost their utilization and improvement, even after the conclusion of the present project. With these demonstration examples, the international collaboration, and open source resources, we aim to make our proposal by fact the standard gold to follow in the following years

NEFERTITI aims to integrate novel heterogeneous catalysts (Covalent organic frameworks and metal oxides combined with metallic nanoparticles) and luminescent solar concentrators into two Photocatalytic flow reactors sourced by sunlight energy. The reaction mechanisms for the photocatalytic CO2/H2O conversion and C-C bond formation will be defined and optimised. As this has never been done before, NEFERTITI will develop a completely new way of producing such compounds in a continuous manner having a significant impact on the scientific understating of this technology. Modelling of C-C bond formation from activated intermediates will then determinate the reaction pathways, barriers and selectivity for C-C, C-O and C-H bonds. By increasing the sunlight conversion efficiency and improving light-harvesting and charge separation, NEFERTITI will overcome the remaining technological challenges, improve the competitiveness of the photocatalytic technologies and enable a carbon-neutral production of solar fuels in a single-step process as an alternative to traditional multi-step processes. Novel photocatalytic materials, optical and chemical light-harvesting components and flow reactors will be designed, developed and integrated in a system reaching a TRL4 at the end of the project. Economic and sustainability assessment throughout the entire life cycle will consider socio-economic and environmental impacts, as well as workers’ health & safety to maximize productivity and resource efficiency and minimize the risks. The consortium is composed of an experienced multidisciplinary team from EU, China and USA, supported by an international Advisory Board.

The Consortium will develop a set of digital tools to improve the design, optimise the manufacturing process and ease the implementation of circularity strategies (remanufacturing, refurbishing, repairing and recycling) by the additive manufacturing industry. To support those tools, we will develop a novel AI-assisted algorithm able to calculate both the ecological and economic impacts of a process to assess its sustainability. This AI-assisted algorithm will rely on experimental data, from process monitoring and part characterisations, and process simulation, covering pre-processing machining, additive manufacturing and post-processing machining. We will integrate these tools into a first platform, called DIAgonal, to facilitate the uptake by the industry. The platform will integrate the European Digital Product Passport by enabling the use of supplier data for more accurate ecological impact estimations and allowing the upload of experimental data to enrich product transparency on origin, materials, and recyclability. We will develop a second platform, DIAdemia, to support the upskilling of the workforce through interactive training courses, workshops, and exercises. Overall, DIAMETER will contribute to reducing the manufacturing sector's carbon footprint, enhancing recycling, developing a greener Industry 4.0 and promoting local production.

The consortium brings novel DST including: AI robotic traps for real time pest monitoring; Autonomous mobile robots for pesticide monitoring and 3D spot spraying; Earth Observation missions with robust Agroradar AI algorithms to map soil/plant nutrients and pest plant inputs using Copernicus data/services; and in-situ and real-time nutrient analysers. All the DST will be interconnected to a user-centric cloud-based Farm Management System, which features a robust Decision Support System integrated with a blockchain based system for DST data evidence, integrity and AI models verification and with a cybersecurity platform to prevent cyber-attacks and IoT vulnerabilities. The AOP include: on-site production of biofertilisers from agricultural waste-waters through a robust automated drainage recycling system via an innovative enzymatic hydrolysis procedure; a novel foliar biopesticide formulated by circular bioeconomy operations, targeting fungal diseases with biostimulant effect; and advanced nutritional programs for organic farming. The showcase systemic DST & AOP solutions will be demonstrated and tested in aquaponic and hydroponic greenhouse and open-field vegetable cultivation in Greece and Spain. A Pesticide Reduction Program will evaluate the Maximum Residue and the Acceptable Daily Intake levels to ensure vegetable's food safety and LCA activities will be performed. All these systemic approaches will be performed under a strong collaboration among all the Farm to Fork stakeholders and European Commission services.

Produce a culture shift in terms of environment for SUMPs in member states and in the organisational culture of transport planning in city authorities. 2. Get ministries and national agencies to play a national leading role on SUMPs, as in many member states these are the organisations from which cities take their main direction; where ministries are already playing this role, to support and strengthen their approach. 3. To provide mechanisms and tools for Ministries to take this lead role. 4. Analyse clearly the problems of (lack of) take-up of SUMPs – to understand from cities themselves why they are not taken up and then to help cities to address these barriers. 5. Extend the existing 25-county EU-SUMP-network with at least two more countries 6. Get more cities to take up effective high quality SUMPs – through cities’ involvement in the project and indirectly through more cities hearing about SUMPs in their country. 7. Ensure that these SUMPs contain and will lead to implementation of a broad range of innovative sustainable transport measures. 8. Build cities’ capacity to develop and implement SUMPs that genuinely reflect the spirit of the EU SUMP Guidelines, rather than being mandatory documents to fulfil a requirement linked to major transport infrastructure. 9. Deliver a measurable impact. The core concept of PROSPERITY is bringing ministries into the project, which will significantly enhance the visibility of the project at the national level and therefore increase numbers of cities active on SUMPs. Thus PROSPERITY will ensure that more cities commit to SUMPs that are in line with the EU SUMP Guidelines and that include a broad range of innovative measures. This will generate a high leverage factor, especially in regions and cities where take up is so far low and the impacts from transport are severe – therefore the majority of PROSPERITY activities is in such regions and cities - thus in southern, central-eastern and eastern Europe.
