The NEBULA projects will build upon this B4P and the New European Bauhaus initiative to activate and nurture a network of B4P Innovation Clusters, by implementing: - Improved visibility, adoption and uptake of innovative solutions that are in line with the New European Bauhaus thanks to increased awareness on benefits from innovation and better access to co-financing - Intensified, cross-sectorial and interdisciplinary peer-learning from front runners as well as cross-border cooperation and networking, - preparation for the long-lasting activities of the network of B4P Innovation Clusters and the integration of the next clusters. This project will therefore accompany a first batch of existing and emerging clusters to increase their maturity along five dimensions: full value-chain coverage; cross-sectoral integration; combined local and national/EU networking; cross border connections; and access to testbeds and demo spaces such as pilot buildings and living labs. NEBULA will support these clusters through ‘maturity push’ activities including peer learning on New European Bauhaus concepts, support to open innovation, business & finance help desk, match-making and promotional events. A minimum of 5-7 clusters will be supported by NEBULA, some already identified being part of the consortium. At least 1 of them will reach full maturity on the 5 dimensions listed above, thus becoming a B4P Front runner, model for replication. NEBULA consortium, that involves two contractual partners of the B4P partnership, will elaborate a Strategic Replication Plan to reach the contractual target of 10-15 B4P Innovation Clusters by 2028.

The demonstrators untap on EU scale the potential of 491 MTCO2-eq savings annually and a financial divergence potential of 33.4 B€ annually, within defined market conditions and based on circular business models. To reach this ambitious goal, 23 partners from 8 European countries collaborate, covering the entire value chain and supported by a co-creation strategy with relevant stakeholders. To assess and validate the solutions, an innovative multi-cyclic performance assessment framework will be developed and applied, integrating multi-cycle LCA, multi-cycle LCC, circularity and sufficiency for construction and building related products and components. Novel data-driven tools covering quality evaluation, thermal efficiency, automatic identification of assets and their reusability condition, multi-cycle traceability, and social acceptance will be enhanced, demonstrated and combined in a toolbox integrated in a common digital platform, going beyond a digital building logbook. High impact dissemination and communication of results/key deliverables will be led by the World Green Building Council and maximized by its global network. The DRASTIC project will contribute to the objectives of the EU by demonstrating the feasibility of promising and affordable new technologies, processes and products combined with new business models for faster market uptake, leading towards more sustainable buildings with reduced life-cycle carbon, high life-cycle performance and reduced life-cycle costs.

This overarching objective will be achieved by: - Integrating new B4PICS: 6 new B4PICs will be set-up in regions so far not covered by the B4PIC network and receive direct support. Outreach activities to innovation clusters will be made in order to reach the B4P contractual target of 10-15 fully mature B4PICs by 2028. - Creating enabling conditions and providing tools and training for B4PICs and their members for increased development and market transfer of sustainable construction and renovation innovation. - Accelerating the demonstration of holistic and inclusive solutions with high market potential through tailored support mechanisms (incl. access to demo sites) - Facilitating access to funding for demonstration, scale-up and implementation of sustainable innovation by local/regional construction value chains - Paving the way for replication, wide-spread use of the supporting tools and services, and continuous expansion of the Built4People network based on a UE27 replication plan with a long-term vision and business model. In order to make B4PICs attractive for different target groups of the innovation value chain, concrete value propositions will be defined to highlight the impact of B4PIC with respect to improvement of innovation capacities and development of sustainable business opportunities. The impact of the B4PIC network and the B4PICs themselves will be measured to show their significance for the green, digital, and people-centric transition of the Built Environment sector, the up-skilling of innovation actors, and the acceleration of construction and renovation products and solutions towards climate neutrality, in line with the impacts laid out in the Work Programme.
