ONE-BLUE will provide an integrated assessment of contaminants of emerging concern (CECs) and their impacts, will develop new monitoring tools, and will provide an advanced understanding of the combined effects of CECs and climate change (CC) on the different marine ecosystems and their biodiversity. The following objectives are defined: • Improve the current knowledge of the concentrations, profiles, fate, behaviour, and effects of CECs, in the different marine compartments and ecosystems through three case studies (Atlantic and Arctic oceans and the Mediterranean Sea) and develop safety guidelines and protocols for future CECs monitoring in marine ecosystems. • Provide an advanced understanding of possible interaction between CC and CECs in marine ecosystems with studies under controlled conditions in marine mesocosms. • Develop a database (DB), the CECsMarineDB, following FAIR principles, with a database management system (DBMS) to collect the data generated in ONE-BLUE and capitalize data from other projects and existing DBs. A graphical user interface (GUI) will be developed and used for data exploration and demonstration of the fate and behaviour of CECs in a changing environment. • Provide new solutions in support of the implementation of relevant EU policies; (i) a series of new approach methodologies (NAMs) to improve the ecotoxicity assessment of CECs in marine ecosystems; (ii) a tiered effect-directed approaches (EDA) combining toxicological assessment and chemical analysis; (iii) an advanced ultrasonic system for sampling and enrichment micro/nanoplastics from seawater; (iv) a remote autonomous sensor to assess CECs in marine waters in quasi-real-time; a decision support system (DSS) based on machine and deep learning strategies to assess and forecast combined effects of CC and CECs in marine ecosystems. • Disseminate the project results and establish the exploitation plan for the developed technologies.

The recent droughts in central Europe and unprecedented floods in central Europe have disclosed our vulnerability to extreme weather events. Besides climate change as a driver of more frequent and intensifying weather extremes, demographic change and socio-economic development exacerbate severe impacts. International frameworks for disaster risk reduction and climate change adaptation (e.g. SENDAI framework, EU Strategy on adaptation to climate change) acknowledge the critical need for integrating risk governance, communication and operational mechanisms for coping with extreme climate events throughout the entire Disaster Risk Management cycle. DIRECTED aspires to foster disaster-resilient European societies by expanding our capabilities to communicate, utilise and exchange state-of-the-art data, information and knowledge between different actors; boosting the integration, accessibility and interoperability of models; facilitating knowledge sharing; improving dialogue and cooperation encompassing all levels of actors based on enhanced community engagement and developing new governance and risk management strategies using a bottom-up, value-driven co-development approach. Key to supporting interoperability will be the establishment of the DATA-FABRIC, an innovative, governed, cloud platform that enables secure, flexible, discovery and sharing of all structured and unstructured data. Central to DIRECTED are four Real World Labs that co-develop new governance, interoperability and knowledge production frameworks and demonstrate their benefits for enhanced disaster risk governance supported by innovative technical frameworks to access, transform and integrate data and models into customised workflows for creating actionable solutions. The Real World Labs ensure the project continuously and actively involves key stakeholders in the co-development process and address topical problems of multi-hazard risk management and climate change adaptation to maximise impacts.

    - Project context . This project is part of the European and International Plan of Development posed by IES Hozgarganta , a secondary and VET school located in a rural and disadvantaged area, Campo de Gibraltar ( Cádiz) , to promote the European dimension across the entire educational community, and broaden horizons to the end users through several mobilities designed to respond to identified needs, which are:- Moderate international dimension of the School, specially in VET.- Levels of professional competence for new graduates less competitive at European and international level .- Personal and social skills to be improved.- Low employability in the regional and national geographic environment .- Models of management traineeships in business without contrast .Number and profile of participants. 20 mobilities are planned to be held over the two-year-life of the project, for students of the 2nd year, recent graduates of VET of the two programmes taught at our School, and teachers in observation period, from both Professional Families that have a high degree of concern for the development of new innovative projects, so that they can all improve the quality of their teaching . They will preferably be teachers with final permanet possition in the center for added durability of impacts on school life .Description of activities . Mobilities 8 for students ( 4) alumni ( 4)former studentes frome th Forest Works and Conservation of Natural Environment Program, 3 months duration, to be shared between the two years of the project (4 to Italy, 2 to Finland and 2 to Bulgaria ) . 8 other mobilities , of equal duration , type and destinations will be held for 8 students or alumni from the Administrative Management Program . Finally , 4 more mobilities for teachers of any of Professional Family are planned , 15 -day observation periods (Job Shadowing ) , 2 in Italy, 1 in Finland and 1 in Bulgaria.Methodology for carrying out the project. Once approved, a process of nominations among the potential participantS will be opened through a committee established for this purpose to make the final selection . The Erasmus + Coordinator will perform the duties of management and coordination of mobility, along with members of the ATF so designated , once the participants had been selected , implementing a protocol for mobility lass to achieve the project objectives. Once implemented the mobilities , some evaluation and control documents will be used for feedback of the EDP, which will be reviewed annually for approval by the competent bodies. Results and Impact . The results are expected to increase skills in:- Knowledge of a professional reality , within the corresponding , more innovative sector.- Knowledge of different management models and business practices in Europe.- Increased language proficiency .- Promotion of European and international dimension in personal and workplace.Regarding the impact , we can differentiate three types of impact : Impact on the Participants, in the institution and in the target audience , which will focus primarily on :- Increase their skills and employability.- Developing the European Dimension in education , which permeate the whole VET school.- Acquisition , deepening or improving certain personal and social skills that are developed in international and multicultural environments.Long-term benefits . Continuous and sustainable development of Internationalization Plan , new international projects , allowing the participation of teachers and students in strategic partnerships, increased employability of students , and further development in professional , personal and social skills is intended to all members of the educational community , and the development of the European dimension in education.
