"The ""Get xPEERience"" project was an initiative implemented by three business suport organisations (BSOs): Adam Mickiewicz University Foundation from Poznan (FUAM), Instituto Pedro Nunes in Coimbra and Instituto Pedro Nunes Incubator in Coimbra. Polish and Portuguese BSOs decided to cooperate mainly because of similar goals (eg. working with and for the Youth and supporting the development of entrepreneurial attitudes and international cooperation in this field) and the need for self-improvement (including the development of human resources and quality improvement) of the services provided to the Youth. The project involved directly a group of 30 staff members hailing from the BSOs mentioned above. The necessary characteristic of each participants to take part in the project was to support the Youth in their everyday duties - whether it was in the field of promoting entrepreneurship in this group, supporting people with an idea for business, implementing entrepreneurship training courses or supporting young entrepreneurs in the first years of running their business, etc.The tasks carried out within the framework of the project included organizing and conducting 4 trips: 2 trips of representatives of FUAM to Portugal and 2 departures of Portuguese workers from BSOs to Poland. Each visit was built around a different theme related to the development of competences necessary for working with the Youth. The first visit allowed participants to broaden their knowledge in internationalization and soft landing, as well as working with young people with business ideas. The second one allowed the participants to improve their coaching skills and broaden their knowledge of entrepreneurship education. The third visit was designed around the development of methods of reaching the Youth more effectiveley. The fourth trip made it possible to meet young entrepreneurs from institutions, employees of local institutions and young representatives of the academic community. The tools that contributed to exchanging knowledge and experience in the field of youth support were contributed by all participating BSO. Among the the most important one were: exchanges of experiences sessions, workshops and simulation games, discussiong the case studies, meetings, networking, creative sessions, sharing different methodologies of classes and trainings, etc.The results of the project included both introducing new and improve existing activities aimed at the Youth, so the implementation of 10 new working methods and 6 new solutions to be exact. The project affected several target groups, both directly and indirectly. The direct impact included project participants (by raising their professional and linguistic competences, increasing knowledge and gaining professional experience attested by Youthpass certificates) and participating business environment institutions (improving the quality of services for young people provided by institutions and networking between the two institutions). The indirect impact affected the Youth (better matching the institution's offer to the needs of the youth and participating in new/updated services), as well as institutional partners (information provided during the project implementation to organizations such as universities, business environment institutions, training companies). The project has accomplished its aim and has helped to improve the quality of services provided by the institutions, targeting young people and researchers, and has increased the knowledge of their staff on EU programs, notably the Erasmus program. The visits made it possible to establish a network of contacts between institutions, which translated into an increase in the quality of work with Youth in the areas of enterprise development and business awareness as well as opened the possibility of further cooperation between institutional clients."

A VISUAL of the NICCoLLa project is enclosed in the annexes with this application. CONTEXT AND BACKGROUND:The Network for Innovative Care Competence Learning through Labs (NICCoLLa) focuses on profound issues, priorities and challenges in care and wellbeing like demographic ageing and shortages of care workers. Technological solutions are a key answer to meet these challenges. Many applications are available and the market is developing rapidly. Care professionals are needed that can work with and co-create care technologies which deliver effective and user-friendly services. In a future where (care) technology is becoming more important, ’future-proof’ care professionals with transdisciplinary technological competencies are needed.OBJECTIVES:To improve the education of (future) professionals, the focus of this project will foremost be on the development of curricular content (competencies, methodology and content) for the education of care and wellbeing professionals (focusing on use and implementation of care technologies) as well as for technology and ICT professionals (focusing on design and development of care technologies). The aim is to increase and amplify the skills needed for the successful implementation of technology and ICT in the care and wellbeing sector. Furthermore, for future purposes of continuous transdisciplinary development and innovation in this area, supported by co-creative learning, a blueprint for the development of a ‘Care Technology Lab’ will be realized.PARTICIPANTS:72 students, 8 teachers and researchers from different disciplines, and 8 care professionals will participate in the project. Target groups (i.e. clients, patient; 8 in total) and associated partners (e.g. service/technology providers, 8 in total) will participate in the project activities to enhance the students’ learning experience.ACTIVITIES:An iterative series of project activities will support NICCoLLa in realizing the intellectual outputs. Through transnational project meetings, activities will be developed, organized, monitored, and evaluated. A Kick off conference is organized for two-way knowledge sharing with the main target groups and stakeholders.A cycle of 2 intensive study programmes (ISPs) will test and contribute to further improvement of the intellectual outputs. The ISPs will address the disciplinary language gap and discourse, fuelling students to develop innovative thinking, explore technologies, understand needs and challenges, and legal and ethical aspects. Care professionals, representatives from local organizations and clients/patients will be involved to achieve insights in daily experiences and needs from the perspective of relevant stakeholders and target groups. In a final symposium, the results of the activities will be shared, and the next steps will be presented. Discussion panels on regional and national healthcare/wellbeing eco-systems will be organized to discuss technological solutions for the care and wellbeing sector.METHODOLOGY:Based on a quadruple helix approach and by involving relevant external stakeholders and target groups directly in the project activities, this transnational project will foster transnational, transdisciplinary co-creative learning and development, built around innovative learning methodologies such as hackathons, blended learning, and patient/client journeys.Learning through care technology labs ensures sustainable development of competencies and updated curricular content. Connecting with existing labs will foster joint development of transnational and transdisciplinary projects. A framework, guidelines and specific courses for the education of care and wellbeing students and professionals on the topic of technology implementation, and for the education of technology students will be made widely available and easily accessible.RESULTS & IMPACT:Students, professionals and clients/patients throughout Europe can profit from the expertise and vision of designing and developing innovations for the care and wellbeing sector. Innovative courses and trainings for students and professionals, including didactical/pedagogical models and guidelines will be developed on how to use and implement care technologies. Furthermore, continuous sharing of experience and knowledge will be fuelled through initiating the development of a standard for care technology labs fostering transnational and transdisciplinary projects. The business/industry will add value to these labs with workshops, transdisciplinary research projects and internships placements. The project aims at having a long term impact on educating ‘future-proof’ technology/ICT, healthcare and wellbeing students and professionals through co-creative transdisciplinary collaboration. NICCoLLa will thus contribute to generating future proof professionals which will be able to deal with the current challenges of our care and wellbeing systems which in turn benefits clients/patients across Europe.

This project corresponds to the first year of mobility activities of the University Consortium for Advanced Skills in Europe (UCASE), which is acredited for a three year period. The objective of the first year of the project was essentially to develop a new and previously untested interinstitutional dynamics of creating outbound advanced level (master and PhD) student mobility for outbound traineeships and staff mobility for training and teaching in social and human sciences, natural sciences and related areas. In this first year, the main actors were the 3 universities of the consortium, with the companies and municipalities lending their institutional profile to the Consortium to give it credence and practical backing towards ensuring the availability of host organisations for students. 145 persons benefitted directly from ERASMUS+ grants (91 students and 45 staff). The UCASE Consortium seeks the improvement of cooperation between higher education and companies and an increase in quality and intensity of mobility of people between Portugal's Central Region and the rest of Europe. The Consortium promotes, through student and academic staff mobility, a conscience of the importance of linguistic and cultural diversity in Europe as well as the improvement of the professional and human skills of university students and stafrf. By means of these actions, it combats racism and xenophobia and as such, it will be supporting the realization of the European Area of Lifelong Learning in the Central Region of Portugal.
