    The aim of the project is to contribute to the development of the management of health care quality and risk management and to the implementation of policies and strategic documents in the Republic of Moldova and Azerbaijan by mobilizing training engineering to operationalize the necessary actions, by offering professional training programs capable of transmitting the skills required by medical structures/companies.Project objectives:•SO 1: Create a modular lifelong professional training system for all categories of staff in medical structures•OS 2: Create a Quality technician professional training course for the staff of medical structures involved in the process of implementing, leading and coordinating the quality plan•SO 3: Address the training deficit on the levels of health care quality and risk management , by improving the skills of professionals, including those in the refugee public category•SO 4: Promote the integration of continuing vocational training programs into the quality approaches for continuing vocational training, following the recommendations of the European Reference Framework for Quality Assurance in Vocational Training (EQAVET).•SO 5: Create 2 centers of excellence in healthcare quality management and health risk management to support and develop the new continuing education offer•OS 6: Improve in the EU, for each of the 2 countries, 6 trainers in the new quality disciplines in medical services and 3 people from support services (IT staff) in the management of digital educational resources and the operation of a center of excellence•SO 7: Develop an online learning platform in 3 continuing education organizations (P4, P9 and P11) and make digitized materials remotely accessible as open educational resources•SO 8: Train at least 200 working professionals and at least 60 quality technicians in the new training offer (130 for each country)

    PETRA project's wider objective is to promote teaching and learning excellence in Azerbaijan. Specific objectives are: (1) Building Capacity for Developing Teaching and Learning Processes to meet pedagogical and technological needs and (2) Improving and Providing Quality Teaching and Learning through innovative technology, promoting research, improving active learning, and establishing long-term partnerships with European universities. The project targets two private, two public universities and four state universities in Azerbaijan with a key objective to improve their quality of teaching and learning.It aims to build human resource capacity in teaching, research, and developing/improving necessary infrastructure to provide an environment for effective learning. The most up-do-date planning, development and management resources have been utilized for these activities and adapted to the needs of the student body.8 Teaching and Learning Centres (TLCs) aimed at guiding and enhancing the teaching and learning process have been established at each member university in Azerbaijan, because one of the main aims of this project is to assure the quality of education, teaching and learning processes. Building on the Project objective to enhance the quality of teaching and research towards excellence, the TLC's updated equipment are used to incorporate last generation teaching tools and advanced technology, by developing human resource capacity and international partnerships, and developing students' learning skills through on-line active learning.The project results also include the development of a 3-year strategy plan, with a detailed structure and activity plan designed as a result of learning experience in European countries. The trainers and pilots incorporated the necessary skills for training selected faculty for the final purpose of promoting on-line education as a key element in professional development. A broad assortment of trainings and workshops on enhancing research competence have been provided to the selected trainers, and students of target universities participating on the pilots which have been replicated to selected faculty (and students) included on the TLC plans.Last but not least, new collaboration agreements are in place between EU Universities and Azerbaijan partners for the initial team development of credit courses and research activities.

    The Nizami project concerns the modernization of doctoral education, research and internationalization of HEIs in Azerbaijan. This project intends to answer to the urgent need for Azerbaijan universities to revise the rules and content of organizing doctoral studies within Bologna process documents in terms of their consistency, especially on ensuring science and research provisions in relevance with European standards, to fulfill the students' mobility and internationalzation of research.The consortium will achieve the objectives by restructuring the doctoral education through : (a) the organisation of doctoral schools within the HEIS and at the National level, (b) insuring high standards in doctoral education, (c) improving internationalization.A standardisation and modernization of doctoral education will lead to a better recognition from Europe of the quality of research provided by the HEIs and research institutions of Azerbaijan. Therefore, an enhance in collaboration between Europe and Azerbaijan can be predicted. As well, a greater ease of international mobility for PhD students, young researchers and staff should be reached.On a national level, the PhD students should inhance their professional skills to meet the needs of the local, regional and national markets.

    Reason for project: 1. Since implementation of Bologna system, students have responsibility to take initiative in managing their academic careers, but they lack the resources to deal with problems arising along the way2. Universities in Azerbaijan, Georgia and Ukraine struggle to provide democratic systems for dealing with conflict and student appeals3. Many student conflicts remain unresolved due to unclear or ambiguous administrative proceduresExpected outputs:1. Written materials (training guides in each regional language) on best practices in student advocacy systems are created in collaboration with EU partners2. New student advocacy procedures and guidelines are produced and accepted by non-EU partner universities3. Ombuds Office established in each non-EU partner university4. Ombudsperson from each university trained5. Students, staff and faculty from each university trained on procedures and ombuds office functionsImpact: 1. Students and instructors have full access to the democratic spirit of the Bologna Process for resolution of their academic and administrative issues2. Students and faculty/staff become aware of their rights and responsibilities3. University administrations become more efficient and effective as conflicts lessen and resolution processes are streamlined

    For successful integration to global transport network, providing high level transport services to both PCs and global community in the condition of uncertain continuous evolution of global supply chains, it is necessary to take into account European experience and support implementation of crisis and risks engineering for transport services (CRENG) of all levels (local, regional, national) in UA, AZ, TM. But now it is luck of high skilled specialists in CRENG in PCs. Project contribute CRENG development in PCs by creating of educational environment of high skilled specialists demanded by labor market, in line with EU best practices and Bologna process.Environment will include: new innovative MA program “CRENG”; educational materials on new developed curricula published, uploaded to the web-based platform; e-learning courses uploaded to the MOODLE platform; innovative laboratories (CRENG Labs), where students will acquire practical skills on using intelligence, digital and information technologies for CRENG; new teaching and learning approaches International Project Based Learning (IPBL) and Skills Wallet (SW).IPBL involves dynamic classroom approach in which group of international students will solve problems of global supply chains under conditions of risks and crisis. By IPBL graduates will acquire global business communication, management and English skills. SW is method of interaction between HEIs and employers, which helps graduates to acquire specific skills required by labor market. The main advantages of SW are: making universities and enterprises to become closer by mutual developing of educational content; increasing employability of graduates; making enterprises more flexible to implementation of innovations.To support IPBL and SW, disseminate knowledge on CRENG the network of CRENG Service Offices will be created as the background of established interaction between academia, industry, business and governments in PCs an EU.
