    Aventus has achieved the following goals during the period of this project: • Developing the participation of sector Welfare in the Erasmus program. Several Job Profiles have been created and the students have carried out internships in both the Nursing, the SPW, Sports and the education assistant in Norway, Finland, Spain and Germany. This has led to an even greater demand for IBPV within this sector. We hope to double the number of students for the internships in this sector.• The Professional Orientation has started and we have had a number of level 2 students under the supervision of a teacher in Hungary. Unfortunately, it was not yet possible to do this for a period of 2 weeks. They have been away for one full week. The positive effect of a level 2 student travelling abroad is the new experience of travelling somewhere on a first flight. Then the acquaintance with students from another country and the use of the English language. This has had an enormous impact on these students, but also on the further course of the study. Professional learning goals but also the personal learning objectives such as self-reliance and the status of European citizens in which the cultural differences are recognized and accepted. In the future they can also function as European employees. • Within the Creative Industry sector, a first step was taken with Finnish colleagues in the use of robots. A number of Finnish colleagues have informed the Dutch students about the developments in robotization. We call this Internationalization at home. In addition, there have been students from ICT to Hungary and a number have done internships elsewhere.The Fashion department had in Italy internships at leading fashion designers factories and we also see they shared their knowledge with school and the regional business community. • We also started this year with a project to let Dual learning students run an internship in a company in the Apeldoorn area for 2 weeks. This will lead to a mutual exchange with Belgium in the future. (see report) • The Economics sector has been engaged in the broadcasting of students at an IBPV for more than 10 years, and this is currently being done with a Learning Agreement and a European Job Profile. All this in line with ECVET standards. • The Mobile - and Engineering sector are exploring the markets in Sweden and Germany. Several students have done an internship in Sweden and Germany. The positive effects on the regional business sector can be clearly seen here. New methodologies and working methods are shared with the regional business community.

    The Landesschulrat for Lower Austria (LSR f NÖ) has started this project to provide access to European projects for a larger number of schools (in this case the technical vocational schools and training centers in Lower Austria). The main objectives of the project are: 1) To enable the teachers in Lower Austria to compare themselves with colleagues from other European countries and thus to learn other teaching and learning methods, to improve their language skills and to strengthen their motivation and self-confidence. 2) To allow the executives of the consortium to gain an accurate insight into the school organizations and quality management systems of our European partners, thus gaining important insights for their own schools and distributing the results to all schools in Lower Austria. 3) Building a sustainable network of partnerships in Europe to work together on specific challenges of the technical vocational education and training system in Europe. To share existing solutions, to organize and manage mutual students’ traineeships and to gain access to a broad base of European companies. We split the mobility activities into two groups, courses (with the CLIL and methodology studies in English) and job shadowing activities. In the first year of the consortium, we plan to send nine teachers to one-week and two-week structured courses in England and Ireland respectively. The aim of this training is the preparation and further education of teachers for practical and theoretical technical subjects for the performance of CLIL and for language teachers to encourage the use of new teaching methods. The planned job shadowing activities include, on the one hand, the exchange of teaching methods and on the other hand activities which allow the study of school organization and teaching as well as an insight into the quality management systems of our partner organisations. We plan a total of ten mobilities to our partner organisation in Germany. We would like to work more closely together in the fields of language-sensitive technical education and the inclusion of asylum seekers in vocational education and training. We are also planning five job-shadowing activities in Luxembourg, each lasting three days, to exchange ideas on new approaches to student counselling and career guidance of young people. A further 12 mobilities will, per our current plans, lead to our partners in the Netherlands, England, Portugal and Germany to study methods of school organization, gifted promotion and support measures for students with lower performance and quality assurance measures. A total of nine mobiles (one week each) are planned for Holland and England and Portugal. This measure is of interest to teachers because it provides a very practical insight into current workflows in different schools and allows the study of new teaching methods. To ensure the sustainability of the project, the establishment of a high-quality network of partner organizations is a very important goal. This gives us good access to European trends and can react quickly and efficiently to any new developments in the field of vocational education in Europe.

    This project was the next step on our path towards Europe and the global market. It has been an attractive opportunityfor our students to get their working career started. Based on our positive experience with successful partnership-projects (Comenius, Leonardo and Erasmus+), innovation transfer projects, our participation in exchange programmes of the district government and our Erasmus+KA1-projects, we have continued the European pathway with both students and teacher mobilities during the last school year.We have focused on students of the sector which qualifies for university, the vocational training and in the Technical College for mechanical engineering.Therefore, we sent 12 students in total for work placements to companies. The companies were recruited with the help of our project partners. Only one of these students was an apprentice from the automotive engineering and metal construction department to do an internship in France. Unfortunately, it was not possible to find / motivate three more apprentices for this project this year.In addition, we gave 11 teachers the opportunity to learn more about school life and work in partner institutions and thus extend and stabilise our international contacts. At the same time the target for our teachers was to reach a higher technical and methodical level.The internships motivated and encouraged our students to widen their horizons, they gained new knowledge of other cultures as well as working and to give a positive connotation to educational processes abroad. Another goal was to reduce the drop-out rates and foster life-long-learning.

    Companies detect an emerging concept in their continuous improvement and innovation processes: the confluence of Lean and the implementation of Industry 4.0 projects. They also detect a lack of these skills in vocational training graduates. Like any emerging concept, it takes time to become present in VET curricula. And in the 21st century, innovation cannot be delayed.To solve this problem, the industry must take an active role in defining and training key competencies and skills. And collaboration between the business, training, innovation and technological development ecosystem is essential.In this context, European companies from three countries, Portugal, Spain and the Czech Republic, are promoting a strategic partnership project with the aim of improving the results of vocational education and training by developing an innovative digital educational methodology, based on simulation seroius games, oriented to real experiences, and integrating Lean continuous improvement systems, with Industry 4.0 systems, in a new concept called Lean 4.0, and validated by companies and vocational training centers.To do this, five entities with extensive experience in collaborative projects have joined a consortium:Caar, Aragón Automotive Cluster (Spain), which groups 76 automotive companies that employ 11,500 people in the region. It designs and manages innovation, business development and training / talent programs with the participation of its partners, of which 50% are SMEs.Autoklastr, Automotive Cluster of the Czech region of Moravia / Silesia, with a profile similar to Caar, but in its region, it groups 86 industrial and industrial service companies, that employ more than 10,000 people. It develops cooperation programs between companies for their competitive improvement.Aitiip, technological center for new materials. Fundación Aragonesa (Spain) made up of large and medium-sized companies and business development entities, specialized in technological development and innovation in creation, processes and manufacturing of new materials, with extensive experience in industry 4.0 and European project management.ATEC - Associação de Formação para a Industria, is a private non-profit association, founded by Volkswagen Autoeuropa, Siemens, Bosch and CCILA (German Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Portugal), and created to contribute significantly to the increase in qualifications / professional skills available in Portugal and, consequently, to increase the quality and productivity of companies. It has offices in Lisbon, Porto, and at its partners' facilities in Veiro, São João da Madeira, Viseu, Braga, Cascais and Carregado. He teaches over 100,000 hours of high-level technical vocational training per year.TatyAir is a young Czech StartUp specialized in the development of industry 4.0 hardware and software applications.The five partners form a balanced and powerful international group, with notable representation of large companies and SMEs, capacity for technological innovation, experience in technical training, and specific knowledge in digital educational applications development.The project includes the development of a research study on the convergence between Lean methodologies and industry 4.0 enablers not only in the participating countries and their companies, but in the scientific and technological field of all of Europe. Subsequently, once the scope of the application has been determined, an analysis will be carried out to characterize the entire application and its systems. Next, and once the model has been validated by companies and training centers, the application will be developed. Finally, four pilot actions will be carried out in vocational training centers to test the tool.Social research techniques, systems analysis methodologies, agile methodologies will be used for the development of mixed software and hardware applications, and evaluation studies of didactic methodologies.The fundamental result is the creation of an open source community around Lean 4.0, and a tool based on simulation games, to design, execute and measure the results of training actions in Lean 4.0, bringing training closer to a real environment of production. This methodology will impact on the problem of lack of specialized training in Lean 4.0, incorporating new educational methodologies. It will also have a significant impact on the results of professional training by completing formal training.The five entities are committed to maintaining and growing this community in the long term, incorporating new challenges in its content, and making it a long-term benchmark in terms of innovation in industrial vocational education and training.
