GNSS user technology is now widely available in mass market devices including personal devices, connected vehicles, Internet of Things (IoT) objects, etc. The widespread availability of GNSS receivers, joint with ubiquitous communication capabilities of devices and the ability of cloud-based ICT platforms to federate with each other through open standards and APIs, is enabling a new generation of Location Based Services (LBS) able to support highly-scalable pervasive applications where large number of geographically-distributed users are engaged e.g. in immersive games and commercial services. While GNSS proves to be able to support such applications successfully, a major drawback prevents such approach to be used in more serious (and potentially highly rewarding) mass market applications i.e. the lack of authentication features, resulting in high difficulties in preventing users from spoofing position information to gain advantages or damage other users. GOEASY will leverage unique Galileo features such as increased trust and improved availability, joint with interoperability with existing Internet of Things (IoT) infrastructures to enable more secure and privacy-savvy mass-market applications of LBS. GOESY will be evaluated by means of two concrete use cases, namely the ApesMobility and the AsthmaWatch, both evaluated engaging real users in a medium-scale pilot in Torino (Italy) and Stockholm (Sweden).

The ECO-ENGAGE solution will support companies to achieve Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and sustainability targets (mainly energy and resource efficiency), through a novel composition of social networking and gamification solution, capable of stimulating employees’ eco-friendly activities. The project implementation will impact on the optimization of resources, the reduction of the overall environmental impact or organizations and consequent mitigation of climate change. The strength of ECO-ENGAGE solution relies on: 1) Employees-centric sustainability platform, in which employees do not perceive sustainability as a corporate prescription but rather as a contribution to a larger, global sustainability project; 2) Team achievement approach through incentives for the adoption of sustainable behaviors, tangible rewards, gamification techniques for engagement, the creation of a social sustainability profile; 3) Appealing user-friendly interface that turns natural human curiosity into a valuable learning experience. Overall, the innovative ECO-ENGAGE project will benefit: 1) Targeted clients. With the implementation of the greenApes Employee Engagement Platform (EEP), large organizations can obtain a ROI of up to 50% already in the first year . Considering the huge economic, commercial and Environmental advantage Enel Green Power already signed an agreement to adopt the solution once in the market (5000 employees will be involved). 2) The Proponent. With an estimated ROI of 88% in 3 years the project has the potential to boost company's growth. The current technology readiness level of ECO-ENGAGE project is TRL 7, and it aims at reaching TRL 8-9 by Phase 3. The financing from Phase 1 will provide ECO-ENGAGE insights on the market and on tools for marketing and structuring a sales force

Through our consumption behaviour we, individuals, are responsible for 72 per cent of the global greenhouse gas emissions. These are created by the way we live, travel, and eat and by what we buy. So far, the attempts to change people's habits by appealing to their rationale have not produced significant behaviour change. Aiming to help close the action gap between climate awareness and individual action, and to increase citizen participation in sustainability topics, the project builds a data-driven momentum for sustainable behaviour change across eight European countries. It does this by engaging citizens through a digital application to co-research, co-develop and uptake everyday life solutions for climate change, providing tools for the collection, monitoring and analysis of their environmental and consumption data. In the application, the citizens find out how their lifestyle and habits impact the environment. They will also see a list of smart everyday actions that are relevant to reduce their environmental impact. The application enables citizens to actively create data while monitoring their lifestyle induced climate impact and behaviour. The collected data will be used to improve the application itself, and, importantly to empower citizens to gain agency in research and policy-making. The ambition is to engage a total of four million EU citizens. The figure is based on the previous national success with a web-based carbon emission calculator, which is innovated further with the use of citizen science, by co-research at living labs, co-creating personalized sustainability plans, as well as with the integration of behaviour science knowledge into the co-research and design process. The overarching goal of PSLifeStyle is to co-create a web- and mobile-based sustainable lifestyle tool and open platform, that will enable, empower and encourage European citizens to take their personalized steps towards more sustainable lifestyles.
