The MISSION Consortium will bring together world-leading expertise in the field of aircraft electric power systems, power line communication systems, solid-state power electronics technologies, metaphysical modelling and simulation, control, validation testing and integration, to design, develop, manufacture and validate the advanced electrical power distribution system (EPDS) based on Multifunctional Power Network with Electrical Switching. This will be a key component in the creation and demonstration of the Multifunctional Fuselage demonstrator being developed within Clean Sky 2 LPA IADP platform 2. The technical areas of work will cover advanced architectures for the Electric Power Systems (EPS) architecture including their design, control and analysis, Power Electronic Switches based on Solid-State Devices, onboard communication networks, power line communication systems, and Power Line Communication (PLC). The technical work will be completed with advanced methods in model-based design, as well as multi-physic modelling and simulation, together with world-recognised expertise in manufacturing, testing and qualification of EPDS for aerospace applications to. This will enable a step changebreakthrough in the design and development of integrated electrical power bus and communication system (IPBCS) for future aircraft platforms. by introducing highly innovative technological solutions leading to a substantial reduction of overall weight, making aircraft more efficient, hence reducing fuel burn and contributing towards more efficient, greener aviation.

The overall objective of the QualyGridS project is the establishing of standardized tests for electrolysers performing electrical grid services. Alkaline electrolysers as well as PEM electrolysers will be considered individually in performance analysis and in an assessment of business cases for these electrolysers’ use. A variety of different grid services will be addressed as well as multiple hydrogen end users. The protocols developed will be applied to alkaline and PEM electrolysers systems, respectively, using electrolyser sizes from 50 kW up to 300 kW. Additionally, a techno-economic analysis of business cases will be performed covering the grid and market situations in the most relevant regions of Europe. The consortium adressing these tasks includes three electrolyser manufacturers and well as research institutions with plenty of experience. Inclusion of a European standardisation institution will allow for maximum impact of the protocols. An advisory committee including TSOs from several countries a

PTwist aims to design, deploy, and validate an open platform which will twist plastic reuse practices, by boosting citizens awareness, circular economy practices, and sustainable innovation inline with the new plastics economy vision. This will be achieved by offering : a) crowdsourcing tools to enable generation of an evolving plastic materials reuse taxonomy and an open plastic reuse machinery designs repository; b) a monetary system of PCoins and PWallets maintained by a blockchain based architecture which will safeguard trusted plastics reuse transactions among citizens and inventors (such as fablabs); c) a citizens and communities rewarding and engagement experiences by interactive and collaborative gamification which embeds Pcoins crediting; d) a virtual marketplace for exhibiting and commercializing of PTwist inspired plastics reuse products monetized in the proposed PCoins unit. Cutting edge gamification, analytics, and circular economy mechanisms will be integrated under an open platform to be validated and stress tested under a common use cases methodology. Three local and globally synchronized pilots will intensify all stakeholders (citizens communities, inventors, innovators, and entrepreneurs) involvement and engagement, with emphasis on the social gains and sustainability potential. PTwist will largely impact : citizens and grassrooted groups co-creation, innovative and trusted collaboration and knowledge transfer by increasing all stakeholders awareness; plastics as an asset potential due to increasing its circular economy re-entering; and blockchain based novel routes to markets. Innovation activities in PTwist will be based upon existing open source, blockchain, gaming, crowdsourcing components, open data solutions and developments to the largest possible extent.
