The overall aim of BUSLeague is to address and overcome the challenges of the stimulation of demand for energy skilled workforce (demand side), along with hands-on capacity building to increase the number of skilled workforce across the building design, operation and maintenance value chain (supply side). BUSLeague will achieve this objective by developing and implementing a cross European recognition of energy skills, together with upscaling successful training methods and techniques which have already been developed in previous EU and National initiatives such as BUILD UP Skills, Construction Skills. BUSLeague focusses on a blend of four elements: mutual recognition of energy skills, awareness raising, capacity building and legislative changes. Implementation will be done at country specific and regional levels; based on a blend of measures to stimulate demand complimented with hands-on and practical upskilling of involved local and regional workforce. In this way engagement of SMEs will be ensured. BUSLeague is formed by a coalition of former BUILD UP Skills and Construction Skills projects. The partners believe that by working together the national implementation plans and developed means will improve and become more attractive and effective. BUSLeague is strengthened by experienced anthropology researchers and educational technology researchers in order to prove impact and to optimize the blends for stimulating demand and optimizing learning transfer of applied learning means and materials.

The main aim of U-CERT is to introduce a next generation of user centred certification schemes to value buildings in a holistic and cost-effective manner. This aims to: - facilitate convergence of quality and reliability, using the under the M480 mandate developed national annexes standards, enabling a technology neutral approach that is transparently presented; - encourage the development and application of holistic user-centered innovative solutions, including the smart readiness of buildings; - encourage and support end-users in decision making (e.g. on deep renovation); U-CERT has a focus on strengthening actual implementation of the EPBD by providing insights from an user perspective and creating a leveled playing field for sharing implementation experience, (Mandate M/480 and product related) to all involved stakeholders, facilitated by the EPB-center. U-CERT has the following five measurable objectives: 1: Facilitating the implementation of the new generation of Certification Schemes with a wide based support 2: Making the new certification schemes more practical, reliable and ‘desirable’ by a holistic and user centered approach 3: Making the new certification schemes easy accessible for a wide range of users and stakeholders by the services of the EPB center This objective has a twofold approach: 1) by accelerating the implementation by the development of a set digital supporting tools and 2) by incubating new certification concepts and business models, empowered by the U-CERT results. The EPB center has a central role in achieving this objective by offering services to all relevant stakeholders in order to promote and foster a harmonized and comparable implementation of the EPBD. 4: Providing evidence of the usefulness and meaningfulness of developed means by testing the U-CERT approach in selected cases by the EPB center. 5: To foster a EU-wide uptake by motivating and activating EU interest groups and certifying bodies (not involved in U-CERT)

The overall aim of Sav€ the Homes is to contribute to an increase of an annual renovation rate of > 5% by offering attractive OSS services to homeowners, managed and implemented by municipalities as being trustworthy entities for citizens. This is achieved by the implementation of OSS Citizen Hub concept, offering renovation offices, both as physical hubs and web-based virtual hubs at local level based on the concept of medium-sized cities and to maximize replicability, at national and EU level. Sav€ the Homes will: 1. Offer a full customers journey in 5 stops: - Stop 0 Onboarding - Stop 1 Design: Social design by co-creation with the homeowners - Stop 2 Elaboration: Organizing the financing, purchasing of renovation kits and the preparations for the construction of the renovation works - Stop 3 Construction: Realization of proven quality in interaction with homeowners and a peer-to-peer Renovation Community, as part of the Citizen Hub - Stop 4 In-use: Monitoring of total performances in practice for ensuring sustainable quality of building and user experience 2. Create strong networks and trustworthy partnerships with local actors in the whole chain 3. Create locally developed and organized financing and investment pipelines The integrated home renovation services will be established within already established OSS networks at the city (City of Eindhoven) and regional (Comunitat Valenciana) level in two EU countries, building upon existing energy targets and networks so far well established at the city levels where it brings a new method and mechanism on how to improve the existing interactions between the relevant organizations and stakeholders. It holistically connects renovation advisory, products and services, finance opportunities and legal advice with a building owner at a single point. By involving relevant EU umbrella organizations, the concept will be further promoted in other member states to come to a harmonized method applicable at EU level.

NZEB construction needs an enhanced systematic approach for the quality control of the entire process to reduce the gap between designed and actual performances of buildings. This requires a fully qualified and equipped workforce, capable to implement, execute and perform all the necessary labor actions with understanding of the responsibility of their own profession and actions, as well as the relation with the other involved professions and actions. BIMplement offers the trainers and the learners a range of tools that fit the objective of developing a fully qualified and equipped workforce, capable to implement, execute and perform all the necessary labour actions. Main aim is to achieve an improved quality for NZEB construction and renovation by setting up a large scale, training, CPD and qualification schemes, addressing the entire process phases in a cross-crafts and cross level multidisciplinary approach, strengthened with hands-on and BIM-enhanced workplace learning tools by following objectives: 1. To improve the overall quality of renovations and new constructions, based on a BIM-enabled workplace learning, addressing the entire process phases in a cross-crafts multidisciplinary approach 2. To create a new generation of professionals and craftsmen, equipped and enabled by BIM skills, to enhance the overall quality of construction and renovation across the entire process 3. To foster interactions between different trades and professions enabled by a flexible qualification, certification and accreditation methodology for implementing BIM as a workplace learning environment 4. To sustain the qualification and training schemes a replication and exploitation strategy will be developed and validated At the end of the 2 years project BIMplement has developed a transferable method based on the experience of previous BUS and H2020 Construction Skills projects and on experimentations in territories with craftsmen and small enterprises.

The ALDREN objectives are to achieve higher renovation rates and better renovation quality by overcoming market barriers and preparing the ground for investment. The excellence of the ALDREN solutions offered are: 1) a harmonized Energy performance rating based on the European Voluntary Certification Scheme (EVCS) verified by measurements to increase comparability, confidence and market uptake by standardized solutions (CEN / ISO); 2) associating low energy renovation with high quality indoor environments to trigger renovation and to promote health and comfort; 3) aligning market recognition of high quality with enhanced building value by financial tools and capacity building. Establishing business case for deep renovation to motivate private investment. These solutions will be integrated in a consistent, common way in a building passport to ensure the results and effective financing also in case of step by step renovation. The ALDREN coordinate and support actions bring together in ALDREN Alliance the main stakeholders involved in building renovation to specify the needs of the non-residential building sector and to organize the pilot use of the ALDREN procedure. This innovative approach to management ensures continuous feedback from stakeholders. The ALDREN actions are sound and credible. They answer a market request for common reliable tools by using the EVCS policy instrument (EPBD Art. 11(9)) and by completing it to reach the needed holistic approach for deep renovation. The impact on energy savings during the project is estimated at 30 GWh and at 1000 GWh/a after the project. The implementation and dissemination of the ALDREN procedure will use existing channels of environmental scheme operators for the pilot phase, but also for further dissemination. The ALDREN overarching outcome will be the infrastructure to enable market transformation by deep renovation driven by the business case and able to directly support the EU policies (EED, EPBD).
