assignment_turned_in ProjectPartners:UJI, UJIUJI,UJIFunder: European Commission Project Code: 2015-1-ES01-KA103-013189Funder Contribution: 287,249 EURThis project, KA103, is framed within the objectives of the Universitat Jaume I (UJI) as regards its internationalisation and the mobility of students and teaching and non-teaching staff. During the lifetime of the project, 202 students of all three cycles have benefited from it. This project was originally intended to carry out more mobilities than those actually carried out. However, as occurred last year, the proposed targets could not be met, which is reflected in the interim report where the numbers have been adjusted much closer to the reality. This year again, we understand that the decrease in mobility is mainly due to the language requirements established by partner universities and by the Vice-rector’s Office for Multilingualism at our university. Even though some universities might be more flexible regarding the level of language, we believe that is essential that all students begin their mobility with a minimum level of the language of the destination country in order to improve the academic quality of mobility. In addition, in order to meet the CEFR standards, this year, all students were required for the first time to pass a language test as the only requirement to prove their level of language proficiency (that is, language exams passed on students’ degree courses have not been considered), which has resulted in an increase of complaints. However, we expect that the students can thus understand the importance of having an official language certificate for their professional career. We have had a student from an Italian university who had a severe disability (blindness) and it was very satisfying to see how all the mechanisms at our university have allowed us to make this student’s life easier on campus. As for the mobilities of teaching and non-teaching staff, almost all those mentioned in the interim report were carried out.The Erasmus+ Placements Program is organised by the Careers Service, and it has been developed from September 1, 2015 to May 31, 2017, and it has meant the realization of 19 Internships between 2 and 1 day and 9 months and 16 days (with an average of 4 months and 20 days) of students or recent graduates. Moreover, 0 of them, have participated as “Zero Grant”.The main objective is that 8 recent graduates and 11 students, mainly from business and law fields and experimental and technical fileds assimilate the institutional, business and occupational reality within the scope of their respective and future professions, in a European country. Through the development of competences in 12 different areas of study it has been achieved the facilitation of the transition to the labour market, also, combating youth unemployment through the increment of employability. The formative background of the participants was Finance and Accounting (3) Business Administration (2) Industrial Design and Product Development Engineering (2); Chemistry (2); Video Game Design and Development (2); Master Design and Manufacturing; Criminology and Security; Mechanical Engineering; Agrifood and Rural Engineering; Tourism; Computer Engineering; Master in Occupational Risk Prevention. It has been fulfilled the expected number of participants, (95%) increasing the length of the placement initially granted.63,2% were women, similar rate than in previous projects, with an average of 24.37 years, and 42 % were recent graduates. The Internships have been conducted in 19 hosting entities. The destination countries of the participants were: United Kingdom (5), Netherlands (2), Germany (2) and 1 in each of the following countries: Austria; Belgium; Czech Republic; Finland; France; Italy; Malta; Republic of Ireland; Romania and Slovakia. There has been a report of satisfaction and impact of both entities and candidates. For students, their stay has been recognized through the subject external placements, with ECTS, and recorded in the Academic transcript. Both graduates and students have received a certificate from the host company. In the case of voluntary placements and graduates, we are in process of managing the Diploma Supplement.

During the 24 months of project's life, 241 students of all 3 cycles have benefited from it. Although we have interested students and enough agreements, it is still a challenge that all students have the recognition of the accredited languages and this is reflected in the intermediate/interim report, where the figures were adjusted almost completely to the reality of the mobilities. Once again, we understand that the imbalance of the mobilities from the initial award to the intermediate report is mainly due not only to the linguistic requirements established by partner universities, but also to those required by our call, since all the students are required a minimum level of their language of instruction. However, we believe that is essential because it increases the quality of the program and it allows students to be better prepared linguistically.Regarding the mobility of teaching and non-teaching staff, almost all of those declared in the interim report have been carried out, a total of 42 mobilities. Sometimes the lack of flexibility of the public calls makes it impossible to grant the scholarships to other participants that could profit from them and we will try to improve this. It is still a problem for us the fact that we have to pay to the staff in a concept and not as a scholarship, as the regional law indicates, since sometimes we cannot pay the full amount published in the public resolution and the amount granted by Europe. We have sent students to most of the programme countries. The most requested destinations by students were Poland, France, Italy and Germany. This fact was reported in a meeting to the coordinators of the centers, who were encouraged to promote other destinations, so that the flow of students keeps in good balance. We offer mobility in all our degrees and some master's degrees, as well as some doctoral programs. However, the degrees which have more outgoing students are Translation and Interpreting, English Studies and Industrial Technologies. The Erasmus+ Placements Program is organised by the Careers Service, and it has been developed from September 1, 2017 to May 31, 2019, and it has meant the realization of 22 Internships between 2 and 6 months (with an average of 3 months and 13 days) of students or recent graduates. Moreover, 0 of them, have participated as “Zero Grant”.The main objective is that 13 recent graduates and 9 students, mainly from business and law fields and experimental and technical fields as well as medical and health care field assimilate the institutional, business and occupational reality within the scope of their respective and future professions, in a European country. Through the development of competences in 15 different areas of study it has been achieved the facilitation of the transition to the labour market, also, combating youth unemployment through the increment of employability. The formative background of the participants was Bachelor's Degree in Video Game Design and Development ( 6 students) ; Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Design and Product Development Engineering ( 2 students ); Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry ( 2 students ); and 1 student per each of these following degrees: Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering ; Bachelor's Degree in English Studies; Bachelor's Degree in Journalism; Bachelor's Degree in Advertising and Public Relations; Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration; Bachelor's Degree in Law; Bachelor's Degree in Economics; Bachelor's Degree in Tourism; Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Technology Engineering; Bachelor's Degree in Psychology; University Master's Degree in Industrial Engineering; University Master's Degree in Educational PsychologyIt has been fulfilled the expected number of participants, (81,5% )increasing the length of the placement initially granted.68,2% were women, similar rate than in previous projects, with an average of 23.18 years old, and 59 % were recent graduates. The Internships have been conducted in 19 hosting entities. The destination countries of the participants were: United Kingdom (8), Germany (2), Belgium (3) Netherlands (3), and 1 in each of the following countries: France, Italy and Sweden.
