<< Objectives >>The project called ‘Innovate Yourself: Innovation Training Course for Youth Workers’ was all about improving skills of already competent youth workers in the sector of international level activities and possibilities of Erasmus + Programme and also in the sector of digital youthwork. We wanted to find new ways and working methods for youth workers to answer the challenges they face on a daily basis while working with youngsters and also to ensure that they are ready and equipped with the needed skills to be part of society right now and in the future. With our project we wanted to create a platform for youth workers to exchange experiences and ideas and also to contribute in advancing their everyday youthwork by developing innovative approaches and tools. Also we aimed to train youth workers’ mentoring skills and capacity to act as a multiplier on their daily basis, to increase participants’ digital awareness and to establish and improve international partnerships within KA1 Erasmus+ objectives. At the same time, we tried to cultivate active citizenship attitudes that are required to participate in and contribute to the public debate on the topic of innovating youth work.<< Implementation >>Our “Innovate Yourself: Innovation Training Course for Youth Workers!” project was a Youth Workers Mobility that brought together 12 young adults (including 4 participants with fewer opportunities) from Finland and Greece. In the total 12 participants, 6 youth workers were from Finland and 6 youth workers were from Greece, who all of them were active members of their organizations. The project was organised and coordinated by both Uurainen 4H and E.K.O and took place in Athens, Greece, in 4-9 December, 2022. Throughout the project both the organizations met through non-formal and informal methods, engaged in dialogue and met together as respectable adults with shared experiences about the digital innovation of youth work. Both organizations offered unique viewpoints and skills that can be shared and upon which new skills and ways could be built upon. The training course was a 6 days long and intensive project full of discussion, workshops, interactive presentations, and other non-formal methods to increase our skills and capacity to innovate our own style of work and also to multiply the innovative approaches to a larger scale.<< Results >>During the project we shared our personal experiences and explored the local realities regarding the different aspects of youth work in each country and local region as well. We had a lot of good discussion, interesting and exciting presentations and workshops to share our own knowledge, experiences and ideas to others to create something new and innovative. The very basic of the objectives was to create a platform to discuss and share information and knowledge which was a really good success as all the facilities were top notch all the time, and it was easy and inspiring to participate! Considering the topics covered and methods used during the training course, we succeeded to train and equip youth workers with new skills and methods to use on their daily work. For example, the robotics workshop proved that it’s not that difficult to include digitality and digital methods on the base work and it’s not that hard to find and use the equipment needed. Through the well designed non-formal activities of this project, we succeeded in on the one hand to equip youth workers with a comprehensive set of knowledge, vocabulary and skills that rendered them digitally innovative, critically-thinking on their youth work and responsible information producers and on the other hand, to provide the proper environment, in which participants had the opportunity to share experiences and knowledge about new and existing innovative methods to verify youth work, as well as explore together modules for effective technological education, which resulted in the development of a toolkit with non-formal education methods, and capacitated youth workers in creating a multiplier effect by incorporating innovative approaches in their daily work with youth.Definitely, the impact of the project was significant as it contributed in closing the gap between the increasingly recognized technological education needs and objectives with the capacities and skills educators are required to have in order to achieve those objectives, as well as to demonstrate that non-formal education methods are an efficient and necessary complement to formal curricula for providing youth true critical innovative education. Finally, through their participation in this project the involved organizations established new and reinforced the existing partnerships, overall diversified their interests, and increased their scope and scale of action.

"<< Objectives >>Nowadays youth work plays a very important role for youth development. Youth work encompasses a broad range of activities (social, cultural, educational, sports-related and political) carried out with, by and for young people through nonformal and informal learning. Youth work provides out-of-school education, as well as leisure activities managed by professional or voluntary youth workers and youth leaders. During the Erasmus + project in Malta in 2019 some of partners met together, discussed the necessity of this project, where participants could see, discuss and exchange the good practices of youth work, to share experiences, to learn from each other and in this way to develop youth work in Programme and Partners countries. The main AIM of the project ""Reality of Youth Work"" was to present youth work in Latvia, exchange of experience with partners, improve working methods with youth from different backgrounds and strengthen cooperation of Programme and Partner countries in the field of youth. Project was for youth workers, leaders, municipality representatives from the youth departments from Programme and Partner countries. Partner countries gave the added value for the project as the youth work in Partner countries is less developed and participants learned from the best practices and used it for the development of youth work in their realities.Participants of this study visit also got a chance to build partnerships and plan new joint initiatives. Moreover, there was an opportunity to learn from the local youth initiatives, as well as to share the best practices in terms of successful youth engagement in Europe. Objectives of the study visit were following:•To learn about the reality of youth work in Latvia, Latgale region;•To support understanding of youth work realities of participating countries;•To improve working methods of organizations with youth from different backgrounds;•To learn about youth work in towns and rural area and to compare them;•To foster partnership building between organizations from Programme and Partner countries;•To explore the added value of the European dimension of youth initiatives;•To facilitate the acquisition by participants of communication, teamwork and project management skills of internationalactivities and networking;•To understand the impact and social change a youth center can have within the local community;•To increase the strategic thinking of youth workers in order to create long-term interventions for personal andprofessional development of young people.<< Implementation >>Project was for youth workers, leaders, municipality representatives from the youth departments from Programme and Partner countries. European Association ""World-Our Home"" hosted 29 participants from 12 organizations from - Azerbaijan, Jordan, Spain, Georgia, Israel, Moldova, Germany, Russian Federation, Greece, Croatia, Portugal and Latvia. Partner countries gave the added value for the project as the youth work in Partner countries is less developed and participants could learn from the best practices and use the gained knowledge for the development of youth work in their countries. Participants of this study visit also got a chance to build partnerships and to plan new joint initiatives. Moreover, there was an opportunity to learn from the local youth initiatives, as well as to share the best practices in terms of successful youth engagement in Europe. In Study Visit there were used the following non-formal education methods: the main methods were study visits to the different youth centers, meetings with young people, deputies, youth workers; interactive real-life learning experience; follow-up project development, networking, discussions and understanding of reality of youth work in Latvia, Latgale region; the acquaintance activities - the individual, couple and group tasks, which aim was to let participants to get to know each other closer - the names, interests, occupations, role in the organization, motivation to participate in the project, etc.; the ""ice breakers"" - activities in the groups which were carried out at the beginning of a project to break the ice between participants and create a positive atmosphere in the group; the team building activities which made an attractive way to join the group; brainstorming, during these activities participants generated a lot of ideas on the subject of the project; there were short activities (energizers) to give the energy to participants, especially in the morning, presentations, speeches; the intercultural evening during which every group presented their country and its culture to other national teams; as well as round-table discussions, debates, workshops, evaluations, reflection time.<< Results >>Through this project we wanted to show the participants our work with youth in Latvia and Latgale region. Youth policy in Latvia is quite developed and recognized and we wanted to share our experience and good ideas with partners from Partner and Programme countries. The project had the impact on all the target groups - project participants, partner organizations and young people with whom youth workers/participants involved in the project are working. Study Visit was organized with the aim to give participants the experience, knowledge, tools, examples how to improve the youth work, how to improve their professional and personal skills and at the same time to meet new colleagues from different countries, to learn from the good examples of youth work in Latvia, Latgale region. Project had an immediate impact on all the participants providing them with the international experience, new ideas, knowledge and skills that will help them in arranging and organizing the qualitative youth work at local and international level. Project participants got new ideas for innovations in their work from the study visit, which had impact on the participating organizations for more successful work with young people. Furthermore, all the participants were youth workers who are directly involved into youth work and youth programs in their own countries. In this way all the knowledge and experience gained in the project were shared with youth throughout their work in organizations in their native countries. So the main target groups were young people and their youth workers from European and partner countries. We saw a clear need for more cross border discussions, study visits and peer learning, especially for organizations from Partner countries, on how to work with systematic quality development in youth work. We wanted to make this project for strengthening the trust and building a real partnership at the international, national and regional levels to foster mutual respect, tolerance and understanding and learn from each other as well from our best practices. As a result of the project participants improved their competences, linked to their professional profiles such as youth work, knowledge and skills in Erasmus + programme. Participants saw the good practice in work with youth, working methods in Latvia, Latgale region and in such way every participant got a lot of practical advises and skills by the methods of non-formal education. Youth workers learned how to understand youth with fewer opportunities better and to facilitate them to their personal, social and educational development. They learned from each other and learn from the good practices in youth work. Participants recognized their own strengths and weaknesses in the work with youth. They were able to reach more young people, to understand their needs and to recognize the problems. Participants developed their management skills, creativity, got relevant knowledge, skills, experience, as well as they built a strong partnership among their organizations with the aim to work successfully together in the field of youth and in Erasmus+ programme."

"<< Objectives >>The international project ""MANAS"" aims at empowering youth workers from 8 different countries in their personal growth, through artistic expression such as spontaneous singing, free movement and group meditations, giving them innovative tools to share, develop and reproduce in their realities with their target groups.According to statistics, 6% of the European population over 16 years feel lonely. Among the factors causing this feeling are distinguished unemployment, economic problems and lack of confidence of young people in the possibility of achieving their goals. The consequences of this situation can be found in the workplace, in communication with young people and with partner organizations. "<< Objectives >>Our great interest in carrying out this project arises from the following idea: Raise awareness, among young people, about the current situation of climate crisis through art. For this, we will go through 8 days of artistic creation which will culminate with the realisation of 4-5 mural paintings on the internal walls of the Huerto del Rey Moro. We want to work, discuss, rethink and learn from the threats, problems, and (mal)practices that we frequent in urban areas and capture our conclusions in the form of art. This project has several main goals that revolve around youth work and youth participation in society, focusing on how they can contribute to create a more sustainable environment. Therefore, we have set out to meet the following objectives with this project: *Raise awareness among participants on issues related to climate change and sustainability.*Understand the importance of active and democratic participation in society.*Promote innovation and creativity to address environmental issues.*Show new ways for young people to be socially involved in their communities, in this case, through art.*Reflect on our consumption habits, what could we improve? Where are we already doing a good job?*Encourage and empower young people to use social networks as a unifying and transformative democratic tool.*Facilitate interaction between the group and the local community.*Work with local artists, who serve as a model of young entrepreneurship and creative initiative.*Create safe spaces for self-expression and mutual understanding without the fear of being judged.*Reflect on our personal skills and how they could help us in our personal and professional lives.*Make Erasmus + programs visible and point out the possibilities that young people have to become actively involved in European society through these projects. .<< Implementation >>The activities of this exchange will be divided into the following phases or blocks: THE LANDING (duration: 1 day)First contact with this new experience and getting to know each other. Landing in the non-formal learning methodology, prioritising self-reflection. Group cohesion and self-knowledge activities:-Dynamics to get to know each other: icebreakers, energizers and collaborative dynamics to get the names and “essences” of each person in the group.-Group cohesion dynamics: collaborative activities with a common objective so that the participants enter into the dynamic of teamwork and free-flow of opinions, wisdom and skills.-Gymkana around the HRM: they should not only familiarise themselves with each other, but also with the new space. For this we have prepared an interactive gymkhana in the HRM and some nearby spots of interest (Corralones del Pelícano and Tramallol, Jardines del Valle, etc.). These spaces will be key during the realisation of the project and for this reason, it is important that the participants know their history, their current situation and their people.MAY INSPIRATION FIND YOU WORKING (duration: 2 days)In this block, we paraphrase the famous quote of Pablo Picasso to justify that, before an artistic-creative production, there must always be a prior reflection and work on the matter that we want to capture. Since each mural will deal with a different topic related to sustainable living, we want to awaken the minds of the participants in these environmental sub-topics:Food sovereignty: -From group definition to official definition-Group activity: “distribution of calories in the world”-Reflection on previous activity-Role-play: coffee negotiating table-Reflection on previous activityCircular economy:-From group definition to official definition-Creative activity in groups: UPCYCLING (making an artistic work with recycled materials)-Reflection on previous activity-Brainstorming “Circular Actions”Urban gardens: -Introductory workshop to permaculture-Group definition: permaculture-flower dynamic-Crop associations: through dramatisation. Our carbon footprint-Take the Carbon Footprint Test individually-Round table: how can we reduce our daily footprint?FROM OUR MINDS TO THE WORLD (duration: 1 day)Block dedicated to the creation and design of murals. The search for inspiration to capture the concepts on which they have reflected. Activities:-Dynamics of spontaneous creation: ""fight of artists: paintings against the clock""-Co-design of murals in groups (by theme)-Sample of designs, why and explanation of the work.GET THE BALL ROLLING (duration: 3 days)Portray on the canvas-mural the designs arising from the reflection, inspiration and teamwork previously done. Days to collaborate, share and network. All this will impregnate the essence of each mural. Activities: -Introductory workshop on mural painting: origin, techniques, materials and risk prevention.-Group painting sessionsTHE IMPORTANCE OF CELEBRATING (duration: 1 day)Sometimes, when we work as a group towards a goal and achieve it, we forget to stop and celebrate , and we go straight towards some other goal . The celebration phase is essential to internalise new learnings and emotions. That is why we will dedicate the last day of the project simply to celebrate everything we have achieved.-Open day: presentation of the murals to the neighbourhood.-Intercultural night: exchange of food, dances and typical customs of each participating country. Between them and with the neighbourhood. NUMBER AND PROFILE OF THE PARTICIPANTS:The total number of participants will be 20 (5 for each sending association, including the Group Leader).Participants will be between 18 and 30 years old, except for the team leaders. We want to have a very diverse group, including students, unemployed people, participants with social, cultural or economic obstacles, people seeking a professional career, or those who may not yet be clear about what to do with their professional career. The profile of the group, therefore, will be varied. It is intended to have a high diversity in the following aspects: knowledge of the subject, culture, gender, socio-economic situation, personal and professional situation, level of English, etc. Especially, priority will be given to people who have never left their country, unemployed people or people in an unfavourable socio-cultural context. The proactivity towards learning new things and the desire to work in a collaborative, creative and reflective environment will be valued positively.<< Results >>The impact that we intend to generate and the results that we want to obtain are based on the objectives set at the time we came up with the idea. We are aware that it is difficult to comply with all of them, since the realities that we will encounter come into play. However, we are ambitious in that sense and we hope to meet all of them to a greater or lesser extent. These are the main results that we would like to obtain and the impact that we would like to generate:- Increase the degree of climate awareness among the participants.- ""Plant the seed"" for future initiatives that combine art and sustainability.- For participants to find common interests, thus favouring the formation of long-lasting relationships that can foster future collaborations.- Strengthen the bonds with our partners and generate a flow of ideas for future projects together.- Make the work of local artists and young entrepreneurs visible, promoting their efforts to raise awareness through art. - Continue to consolidate our NGO and gain more experience in managing Erasmus + projects.- Meet more people with whom we share values, thus favouring future collaborations.- Increase the number of people interested in participating in European projects.- Increase the number of people interested in contributing to their local community, both in the city of Seville and in the participants’ city of residence."
