We don't (have to) hide from the purely academic (general) education system. Rather, we emphasize our vocational background. Because our core value is our vocational identity it makes us very strong in offering useful qualifications for our students that suit the demands of our labour market. We also allow our staff a deep insight into other European VET systems. We were planning two kinds of activities that reflect on the topics chosen: related to topic 1. Teach and Learn Foreign Languages:Sending out language teachers to the places, where the language is spoken. Mainly we are planning to send our modern language teachers to official European training courses. But we also wanted to offer opportunities to teach at our partner schools.related to topic 2. Innovative Curricula / pedagogical Methods / Development of Teaching Courses and related to topic 3. Institutions and / or Methods to Enhance Quality (incl. School Development): In essence we want to offer our participants ""Teaching Observations"" or ""Job-Shadowings"" at our partner schools and if possible even teach at our partner colleges (if possible, concerning the language). We wanted to learn from our partners what other / new processes we could take home and adapt. But we were also interested in finding and adapting new structures and maybe even introduce new training courses. By doing so, we used the skills of our participants to fullfill our guidelines:""Our VISON is: We are THE authority of competence in our region and enable qualifications for life and work. Our MISSION is: We shape an education that transports key competences for an ever-changing working life. That means: We demand from our students to work on their competences and also promote our students adequately and individually.""Well-trained staff are motivated to teach (very well) and also motivate their students to partake in our European projects. Therefore, we promote the will to be mobile in working life, since our students may need to move to places with more opportunities after their successful training. Last but not least, we at BBZ Schleswig are highly interested in becoming a European school (http://www.europaschulen-sh.de/)."

ONLUSFunder: European Commission Project Code: 2015-1-ES01-KA102-014449Funder Contribution: 176,485 EURThe Vocational School IES Politécnico Hermenegildo Lanz of Granada has participated in this Erasmus+ project for VET student internships and staff training in order to expand their training and skills, open a range of new job possibilities and create a cooperation network that increases awareness of European citizenship. This project consists of 3 different activities: one for VET teachers, another for Basic Vocational Education students and finally another for Medium-level Vocational Education students. With regard to teacher mobilities, they consisted of a job-shadowing activity for a week. In 2016, 5 teachers went to the city of Leipzig (Germany) and in 2017, 5 teachers have gone to the city of Bytom (Poland). This activity has been carried out in order to know the vocational education system in these countries, specifically the Dual Vocational Education, the business environment and to establish a network with the partners for future cooperation. The activity of the teachers has consisted in the observation of the work carried out in vocational schools and host companies to get to know the operation of the VET system in Germany and Poland. In relation to the mobilities of the Basic Vocational Education students, they have enjoyed a three-week stay in Italy, carrying out internships at companies. Consequently, 8 students did their internship in 2016 and 8 students in 2017. Throughout the stay, they were accompanied by a teacher due to the presence of minors, thus facilitating the adaptation of the students in the host country. The specialties of these students include IT and Communications, Electricity and Electronics, as well as Vehicle Maintenance. With respect to the Medium-level Vocational Training students, they have carried out internships in companies of Italy, Ireland and Germany. The specialties include: Electrical installations, Car Bodywork, Microcomputer Systems and Networks, and Physical activities in the natural environment. The duration of the mobility has ranged from 9 weeks to 11 weeks. Regarding distribution, 10 students have gone in 2016 and 20 students in 2017.The internships have been recognised as a part of their curriculum, specifically the module “Training at Companies”, giving students the possibility to know a different linguistic and cultural context. The project has been divided into three different parts:In the first one, the selection of candidates has been carried out. Besides, the participants have received a linguistic and cultural training and they have attended to meetings to specify all the necessary details before the period of mobility. All the necessary documents before the mobility has taken place have also been prepared, including agreements with the participants, learning agreements and quality commitments. The second part consisted of the period of mobility itself, where there has been a continuous follow-up of the participants. IESPHL has been in continuous contact with both the coordinators of the organisations in the host country as well as with the participants. Finally, the evaluation and dissemination of results phase has taken place. On their return, the IESPHL has made an evaluation with the participants to obtain the conclusions of the project. Dissemination of results has been carried out through the local press and the school's website, as well as the European results platform and talks organised at the school. With this project, we had the objective of increasing employment opportunities and guaranteeing equal opportunities among students of IES Politécnico Hermenegildo Lanz. The main objective of the project is to offer the students an experience that will be beneficial in their personal and professional life in the future as well as to increase the competences of teachers so that the quality of education also improves in this institutionThrough the proposed activities, we have established an international collaborative network which will improve the training of participants and to extend the horizons of participants so that they can work in a barrier-free context.

The project has included two flows including 5 participants in the first flow to Colchester and 6 participants in the second flow to Leipzig. With this activity, teachers were expected to acquire knowledge about training programmes, administrative management, monitoring strategies, etc. from other countries. With regard to the profile of the teaching staff, they have wide experience in the field of teaching and European projects. The mobility of students has been addressed to students of Medium Level Vocational Training and Basic Vocational Training for the completion of internships at Italian companies. They have been sent in 2 flows of 11 students the first flow in 2016 and 21 students the second flow in 2017 for 13 weeks per flow. The students of the first flow went to the cities of Palermo and Foligno and those of the second flow to Palermo and Forlì. There were also 4 accompanying teachers going to Italy for a period of one week to accompany the students. Regarding the specialties, Basic Vocational Training includes: Vehicle maintenance and Electromechanical maintenance. Medium Level Vocational Training includes the following: Electromechanics of motor vehicles; Carpentry and Furniture; Technician in Telecommunications; Electromechanical Maintenance; Machining and Electromechanics of machinery.Nowadays, it is necessary to have work experience to find a job. In addition, practical training in another European country increases the possibilities for students to gain access to the labour market and allows them to learn and speak another language, which is considered indispensable for finding a job. Therefore, with this project, the students have increased their professional and linguistic skills, their personal autonomy and their knowledge about other cultures. The ultimate goal of the school is to provide students with a beneficial experience that will help them in their personal and professional lives in the future.Likewise, the activity of the teaching staff aims to increase the skills and knowledge of the teachers of the school, as well as the exchange of good practices between professionals at European level. Teacher training has a positive effect on IESVN and the quality of the teaching provided to students. In short, this project allows the internationalisation of education, the increase of career opportunities, the attractiveness and modernisation of the IES Virgen de las Nieves in Spain at a national and international level. It has been possible to expand a network of contacts at an international level to continue participating in European projects in the future.

The aim is to view and compare the guidelines of the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities for the inclusion of persons with disabilities, considering different national circumstances and conditions, and to find out about possible obstacles or constraints as well as furthering aspects. Particularly the comparison and critical reflection with the own working conditions will be considered. In the follow-up work, the results of the students in their last year of their apprenticeship will be a part of the development of the concept of their final work and exams. Furthermore, the findings will be used in the five institutions in order to develop new concepts and further develop the concepts of the care systems.A second main issue will be the intercultural care. The participants are being sensitised and trained for the care of persons with disabilities with different backgrounds in diverse contexts. This aspect will also be covered in class after the students return with the support of the teaching staff who participated in the training visits.Within the framework of the study week in Ljubljana in October 2017, the results and findings will be presented, discussed and analysed by representatives (students and teaching staff) of similar institutions from several countries.

The teachers visited educational centres teaching Dual Vocational Training, where students develop their training: part of the time in the educational centre and part of the time in the companies. The Dual Vocational Training is developed in the IES Cartuja in an experimental way, additionally, the IES Cartuja is considered a reference school in the implementation of ICT technologies and it counts on several Prizes and Honour Mentions due to the development of National and European projects. Once that they have started to teach the Dual Vocational Training, the IES Cartuja wants to share its experience with schools of other European countries and get to know and learn from their experience too. The work fields of these visits included: getting to know and visit companies, training programmes, administrative management field, monitoring strategies, etc.The IES Cartuja is convinced that for the educational improvement it is essential the existence of proceedings of evaluation and dissemination of those experiences contributing to the acquisition of competences by the students. The project consisted of two flows of 6 teachers and professionals each and with the same duration of one week. The mobility period didn’t disturb the normal running of lessons in the IES, since in that period (May and June) an important number of students were carrying out the FCT so that it was easier to replace these teachers in that period. The two flows visited two very important European countries in terms of Dual Vocational Training, such as: England and Germany. The other project action has been aimed at students of Initial Vocational Training (FPGM) of the Administrative Management specialty and to students of Basic Vocational Training of Administrative Services from the IES Cartuja. The project was developed in Italy and Portugal. The IES Cartuja sent three flows: two flows of the Initial Vocational Training with a duration of 78 days each and one flow of Basic Vocational Training with a duration of 16 days. Regarding the Initial Vocational Training, the students of the first flow carried out their internships in the city of Barcellona Pozzo di Gotto while the students of the second flow in the city of Palermo. Each Initial Vocational Training flow consisted of 4 students. The students of Basic Vocational Training carried out their internships in Portugal, in the city of Lisboa. This group consisted of 3 students and an accompanying teacher for a period of 16 days.Through this European experience and this period of training abroad, participants increased their professional experience, improved their professional, social and linguistic competences and multiplied their chances of accessing a quality job.
