Making a proper use of the topic we want to raise public awareness, related toenvironmental challenges in the European and local level, for instance, the city of Skopje, Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia (one of the most polluted city in the world)In January 2019 members of ""RACIO"" were part of a project called ""Sustainability of NGO's"". One of the outcomes of the project was to write 5 new projects during the training and one of the topics was referred to ""Environmental issues"" which we decided to work on it. The participants from different countries who were participating there were interested in taking part as partners and also discussing topics such as: How to protect Nature? How to decrease the pollution ? What can be our role in saving the Nature or World? How to actively participate in environmental issues ?The project aims to promote environmental inclusion and building network among youth from different countries, through youth exchange. The aim of the project also is encouraging youth how to prevent pollution, to spread the information about environmental problems to the local community. The networking and active participation is one of the most efficient processes that one organization or a person has to be involved if wants to achieve and change something.Having as its core objectives:- To provide participants with the necessary skills, knowledge, and attitudes on the inclusion of young people in activities which are connected to environmental issues;- To share experience and examples of good and bad practices by methods of non-formal education and learning from each other;- The purpose of this project is to make awareness of youth about pollution;- To find ways how to solve environmental problems in each country;- To spread the information among young people how to prevent pollution ;- To share opinions, approaches, experience, and information on environmental situation and issues among participating countries;- Promoting healthy lifestyle activities for young people, in terms of environmental protection;- Increasing the awareness about environmental pollution and its effect on our health;- Empower young people in active citizenship taking responsibility in their countries and participating in the decision-making process regarding the protection of the environment;- To give young people an example of cooperation on the international level and encourage them to undertake similar activities in the future;<< Activities >>Main principle and methodology during the deployment of this action will be the norms of non formal education. Thus, participants of this project will be rendered receptors of applicable actions, whichare promoting entrepreneurship between young people.Participants will be introduced to new methods of learning. They are coming from different cultural backgrounds, with different aspects of daily life. It will be pursued, a sharing environment for their knowledge through experiential learning, fine arts, and creativity. Some of our participants are living in remote areas (countryside), facing geographical and social inclusion obstacles, thus they are living in an environment with fewer opportunities. By gathering youth from different countries together to discuss and to share their experience, ideas and work together to become a source which will disseminate gained information in their community, the project will support the integration of youngsters from different background, nations and culture. Cross-cultural learning and dialogue between the participants from different countries, will beimplemented with a view to promote mutual understanding and tolerance. The participants' interests will be met during this project. This will be done through an extended consultation during the preparatory period of the project. The methods which will be deployed are non - formal educational methods, as peer to peer learning, role-playing, outdoor activities and experiential learning, through art workshops and constructions.37 youth leaders and workers from Lithuania, Romania, Czech Republic, France, Greece, UK and Macedonia will cooperate through different art workshops to achieve one common goal. The main objective of the project is to draw attention to the problem of maintaining a clean environment. During these 7 days of youth exchange, participants will have the chance to discuss current issues, share ideas how to preserve environment clean, to simulate simple steps that will help towards reducing the impact of negative factors, which is caused by counterfeiting of secondary raw materials.Participants of this youth exchange will be between 18 - 30 years old and the leaders will be +18 years old.<< Impact >>We expect that this project will add cumulative value to our group of youth workers, as well as to our partners from abroad. It is important to mention that the existing differences between countries were taken into consideration. This means that not only cultural features were considered, but also information provided by the qualitative results of the consultation process. The impact on participants (37 youths) who will take part in this Youth Exchange will be the most relevant one, as they will acquire new skills, will develop new competencies; apart from the impactthat the YE will have on them directly, when the activity will take place, by interacting in an intercultural context, by experiencing a different learning environment, the impact will be sustainable as they will implement in their local communities their new competencies and abilities by organizing different community-based activities;• Improving English language skills (by practicing, speaking, and writing exercises in English during the days of YE);• Improving social skills (by interacting with participants from different European and non-European countries and from different social classes);• Increased confidence and self-esteem (through teamwork and presentation skills in front of an audience);• Improve knowledge of partner countries and their culture;• Enhancing motivation for investment in knowledge;• Self-awareness, knowing each other, teamwork, critical thinking, thinking out of the box;• Increased interest in cross-curricular approaches;• Increasing tolerance and mutual acceptance;• Developing aesthetic sense and respect for quality;• Elimination of prejudices and xenophobia;• Spirit of fair -play in the context of European citizenship;• Improving cooperation between organizations.Concerning participation in focus groups, individuals will be willing to explain their international mobility experience and provide good local or national initiatives and practices. This project has adopted the positive effects of non- formal education, such as personal development, acquisition or enhancement of social and intercultural competences, increase sensitiveness into employability andentrepreneurial sectors, increased international cooperation and international dialogue.''SEITAC'' project will introduce possible alternatives to ''Global Warming'' problem, whilst it will create the background for an open consultation towards maintaining a clean environment. The participants will learn this useful knowledge in order to promote the project's outcomes and disseminate the severe environmental impacts of ''Global Warming'', to a public issue."

They came and told that they would like to do something that reduces climate change. Their idea was that they would like to wake up people to think about the climate change. They also would like to know what kind of things they can do for reducing their own carbon sign, and hear what other people in their area think about the climate change. Also those youngsters, who have participated in youth exchange before, have told nice memories about their experiences for others, and that has raised interest among them. During this youth exchange we want to give youngsters an idea that it´s possible to affect the important issues if they want, and also offer tools for affection and active participation. It was easy to find partners for this project, because topic is globally important. In addition to climate change, youngsters are willing to improve their skills to use foreign language and get to know people from other cultures. Leaders have notice that it causes also a little bit feelings of fear and excitement to meet new people and share one week with them. With help of the project we want to reduce those things. These two main objectives are directly linked to the objectives of the Key Action 1 because it supports the priorities identified in the New European Consensus on Development, which calls for active participation in the matter of the sustainable development, environment, and climate change. Our objectives are in accordance with the Erasmus+ program, because the youth exchange improves the key competencies defined for life-long learning. Youth exchange gathers people from four different countries, so it´s possible to gain great mixture of cultures. << Activities >>1.Comparison between the countries. Before arriving to the venue, each group prepares and carries out survey on their region. What people in different sides of Europe do for preventing climate change? Wider perspective for regional work for climate change. Cross-cultural interaction, interaction between the generations. Personal interview, use of technology when preparing presentation for the other groups.2.Preparing recycling point for each dorm. Eco-thinking, concrete possibility to reduce amount of waste. Sharing knowledge among youngsters. Discussion about the topic: How recycling works in each country? How to recycle? Recycling points will stay in dorms also after the youth exchange. 3.Erasmus+ and Youthpasses. Workshop – in non-formal ways Erasmus+ programme, opportunities for youth as well as the Youthpasses, how to use it, Youthpass competences is presented4.Puppet theatre. Collect the dry rubbish during the week, prepare figures and play. creativity, conscious recycling, reuse of materials, utilization of technology, imagination, team work, discussion. Easier way to express opinion for those who are shy.5.Paddling trip to river Kettujoki. Traceless hobby. Recognizing what kind of things nature offers for us, and how we can move in the nature in a sustainable way.6.Climate march in Inari village. The main thing in this activity. Having attention from the people in the village. Awaken thoughts and discussion. Meeting points that also outsiders can gather and discuss about the theme with youth exchange participants. Small workshops and competitions for outsiders. Submitting the petition to obtain a plastic recycling point to Inari village.7.Writing the petition about obtaining a plastic recycling point to Inari village. Working in small groups. Every group writes down arguments why it´s good to have this point to Inari. In the end all the arguments will be gathered together, and from the base of them, participants write common petition. 8.Secret Friend. In the very first day every participant writes their name to the paper. Papers will be put into hat, and, one by one, participants come and lift one name from the hat. 9.Each project day we would devote some time to prepare this march (posters to be put earlier in Inari), speeches, banners, slogans etc.10.Open space. Possibility for participants to learn leadership, skills of organizing. Participants can write down something that they would like to teach for other participants. After that they prepare the materials and book needed spaces for activity. In the end they prepare the list of all activities, and other participants can choose which skills they want to learn. 11.Lots of eco games outdoors (each group must prepare some ideas).12.A competition for the best Climate protection motto (in groups or individual or both methods).13.Meeting with Jussi in the village. Questions for him. Jussi is the one who have kept Inari village clean during decades. He uses bicycle for moving around the year. Award him with diploma. 14.Wall of expectations. Everyone included, working alone. Wall can be updated whenever wanted. There will be 10 youngsters and two leaders from each country. Youngsters are 13-17 years old, mainly newbeginners in international happenings like this. Most of them live in sparsely populated area, far away from the city centers that restricts their possibilities to participate properly. There are also participants who belong to the minorities that has caused challenges in their life. << Impact >>Participants- recognize the ways to act ec-friendly- have got tools of how to affect for the issues that they feel important- have gained more knowledge about climate change- get the idea of hope despite of the climate change, and are more prepared to face different future- With help of the positive experiences and improved language skill gained from this youth exchange, they are more motivated to take part international actions also in the future - They will increase the awareness of a multicultural group of young Europeans about the importance of our role as active and involved citizens in the environmental future of Europe and its natural values.- will become more tolerant and aware about other cultures- have better understanding about what EU offers for youngsters- have learned every day life skills and survivor-attitude; listening each others, decicion-making, team work, problem solving ability, skills to discuss constructively; how to consider other peopleParticipating organizations:- cooperation improves and confirms- confidence between the partners confirms- widen their perspectives, changing thoughts about the topic- peer support from partners- learn the best practices of project administration.- quality of local youth work improves when we learn new activities and methods from each other and share them in our area- knowledge about youth work in different countries increasesTarget groups (local, regional people, tourists in Inari village, Inari environment authorities):- quality of well-being increases (for example we collect rubbish from nature during the youth exchange)- respect against youngsters will raise- knowledge about climate change increases- they are more willing to affect their environment- become more tolerant and aware about other cultures when they meet participants in climate march in the village- wake up and notice that climate change is global challenge, and we all are in the same boat, so it´s worth to fight together, not against each other- understanding the power of international youth work and get informed about the possibilities that Vasatokka can offer in the region- local stakeholders; bus companies, shops, Yle Sapmi and Vasatokka will get financial benefit from the action, it adds wellbeing for the whole community (sorry, I´m not sure if I´m allowed to say this..)Project also adds credibility of Vasatokka´s international youth work, especially in Lapland and among youth center chain. As we are far up in the north in the sparsely populated area, importance of our international youth work raises lots of questions and wondering, especially among other youth workers and parents. With help of this project we can have again one good example of the effectiveness of our work. Also our credibility among youngsters’ increases, and hopefully, that would add eagerness to take part in our international actions more and more. Together with participants we want to show that international youth work is one good way to affect globally important things. We are planning to carry out Green Steps also in other participating countries in the future. We want to make some concrete good for the communities where these Green Steps- youth exchanges take place. With help of our cooperation we can improve the condition of the world also in European level.

Unfortunately, we often believe them blindly. We have often experienced situations in which we believed in an article or video very popular on the web, which later turned out to be the so-called fake (false information). We observe this especially in the case of articles / video / materials on refugees - information about unpleasant cases constantly mentioned in our social media. They have a sensational form, so they quickly become popular. Underneath you can often come across comments lined with hate speech. Inexperienced young people sometimes do not know how to react or whether to react at all. What if this information is true?<< Activities >>During APV, youth leaders will be able to assess accommodation conditions, plan a night game, and present participants' and own's activities preparing progress. It will be a control element thanks to which the project will be implemented at a high technical level.Youth exchange ""Media - be careful what you believe in"" will take place from 29.06.2020-05.07.2020 w Zatonie, Poland. It will involve 20 young people (5 from each country) aged 18-25 and 4 youth leaders (1 from each country). Participating countries: Poland, Bulgaria, Macedonia, Slovakia.<< Impact >>IMPACT ON PARTICIPANTS: Due to the fact that the project is a direct answer to the questions and needs of young people, participants will acquire skills in the field of they are interested in - manipulation of media. They will gain the knowledge about: how to distinguish real information from manipulation; truth and myths about refugees and immigrants; their role in responding to hate speech. Because all participants are actively involved in the management of exchanges (e.g. their presentations), the project is raised their confidence and the ability to publicly speak. Participants also gain skills that benefit from their private and professional lives: teamwork skills, communication with people from other countries and culture. In addition, by spending time and cooperating with other participants, they will better understand the idea of tolerance, and learn about the challenges associated with cooperating with other cultures. They will also develop their competences in the use of English. By meeting new cultures and countries, as well as establishing friendships with others from other countries, they will become more open to diversity. They also will learn non-formal education forms."
