"LTTC ""United through education"" was a training based on the development / creation among youth workers: awareness of a concept of culture and its dimensions, approaches used in non-formal education, problem / conflict solutions in an intercultural context and development of competence in facilitating the learning process (facilitation) activity based on a methodology taken from non-formal education. During the project participants worked on their skills to facillitate the group and the leraning process. The project was an international training of youth workers, leaders of intercultural facilitation organizations, involving 24 youth workers (3 experienced trainers) from Slovakia, Spain, Malta, Greece, Estonia, Lithuania, Croatia, Macedonia, Poland. All participants during the project provided also workshops in their countries. Participants created workshop outlines, promoted Erasmus+ programme and non-formal education. The long-term project involved three phases: - Mobility of youth workers - training in the context of the facilitation of intercultural groups. It helped us to understand the specificity and importance of culture, its directions, its approach and the complexity of the intercultural environment (as well as its challenges: misunderstandings, conflicts, ""false debates"", tensions). Second, provided participants with the tools they need to work on the issue, through in-depth understanding of the logic of non-formal education, the importance of group dynamics, the diversity of leadership approaches, the exploration of mediation attitudes in intercultural work. - A local phase - in which staff tested and adapted the created methods to excluded youth groups, intercultural communities with whom they work every day. - Mobility, in the context of work on re-evaluation of local action and the quality of methods used in the context of international projects and the inclusion of young people with fewer opportunities. We achived the goals during the project: -Creating a portfolio with a record of new, innovative methods useful for intercultural learning, facilitacion and social inclusion -Reaching the awareness of youth workers about the specificity and complexity of the facilitation process during intercultural meetings and training -Strengthening the competences of youth workers in the context of planning and implementation of effective educational activities at the international level -Expression of various dimensions of culture and how they are connected with intercultural learning -Testing and quality evaluation of developed tools on various groups of excluded youth -Creation of a portfolio with a set of training methods and tools in an intercultural environment, with particular emphasis on including discriminated groups"

A bottom-up peace-building approach, also known as “indigenous empowerment”, is a comprehensive tool that aims to empower local populations (in the frame of this project, more specifically the YOUTH) at the bottom and mid-levels of society by allowing them to consolidate and develop necessary resources for the implementation of a peace process. Accordingly the issues and needs identified by this partnership are: • Decrease the level of aggression and intolerance through the civil society organizations/youth workers. • Perception of conflict and peace and its influence on young people's lives. • Subjective opinion, memory and bias. • The challenges faced by young people in social, cultural, ethnic, religious minority groups. The project “Another Peace” promotes and supports the role of young people in peace-building activities that contribute to living together in dignity and dialogue through a network of specifically trained young people from Armenia, Georgia, Russia, Italy, Luxembourg, Portugal, Ukraine and Poland who strengthen the presence and promote the values of the European citizenship in conflict and post conflict affected areas and communities. The project is Erasmus + Programme KA1 and consists of 2 activities, namely: A study visit to be held in Yerevan, Armenia, from 20-28 July, 2018 and it will gather 24 youth workers and youth leaders. The study visit has the intention to offer a view of youth work/youth policy in several regions in Armenia by visiting and meeting different projects and organizations. The main aim of this visit is to know better the region and to gain basic information about project’s content by using different non-formal education types and use that achievements of participants into skills, which can ensure sustainability and make them able to use outcomes during and after the project. The training course will take place in Luxembourg, Luxembourg, 13 – 20 December 2018 and will gather 24 youth workers and youth leaders. This activity is aiming to develop the competences of youth workers in human rights promotion and protection, conflict transformation, peace-building and intercultural dialogue, as well as other specific competences according to the participants’ needs, related to their role as future policy makers. The project will see implementation of diverse non-formal education methods, like: ice-breakers and name games; energizers; teambuilding exercises; discussions and debriefing; presentations; individual, pair and group tasks; role plays; self and group reflection (steaming groups).. The most important aspect within the methodology, though, is inviting participants to engage in Peace Building in order to stimulate and bring awareness to young people about the importance of peace in a multicultural society. Furthermore, throughout the project the partners will have the opportunity to work on concrete follow up projects through Erasmus + programme ensuring the sustainability of the youth work and enhancing their European dimension. The results will be wide spread throughout a multiple set of communication channels gathered between the promoters.

<< Objectives >>It’s hard to overestimate the importance of youth work in Europe and the impact it has been making on the young people’s lives and their empowerment, fostering active citizenship and participation, social inclusion of youth as well as active promotion of common European values.Youth workers, being an integral part of this process and often acting as a role model for their target groups, need to meet a list of requirements from keeping up with the changes of an advanced and progressive society we live in and tracking and addressing the social issues arising in the community to acquiring new skills and competences in order to raise the quality of the services they provide.Erasmus + Programme and the Mobility of Youth Workers provides a unique opportunity for professional development of youth workers and establishing contacts with the colleagues all over Europe and beyond, gaining new competences relevant for today’s youth work as well as raising awareness about crucial issues of nowadays. Without doubt, youth, its development and well-being are at the bedrock of such activities. Yet, it’s essential to pay attention to the well-being of youth workers as well. Numerous researches show, that educational and social work sector have some of the highest number stress-related illnesses: acc. to European Foundation for the Improvement of Living and Working Condition “stress was most prevalent in the education and health sectors, as well as in agriculture, hunting, forestry & fishing (28.5%). The largest group of employeeswho suffered from anxiety at work were those employed in education and health (12.7%) ”https://osha.europa.eu/en/tools-andpublications/publications/reports/TE-81-08-478-EN-C_OSH_in_figures_stress_at_work. Undoubtedly, it can result in an adverse impact on young people. Thus, according to european trade union committee for education “the impact of these illnesses on workers in education can result in the adoption of dogmatic and authoritarian measures, making the job routine and taking little initiative, absenteeism, depression and stress, requesting a transfer, and leaving the profession” (see pages 82-84 https://ec.europa.eu/assets/eac/education/library/study/2013/teaching-profession2_en.pdf).There’s no European research showing the impact of stress exclusively in youth work, therefore we with our partners conducted a survey among volunteers and staff members of our organisations (among 50 youth workers) and found out that, around 52% of respondents experience stress on a daily basis, 67%- have thought of leaving the field at least once due to the stress it creates, 32% - feel under the pressure financially due to instability of work (dependence on grants and donations).Luckily, EU policy recognises stress as one of the main occupational risks (53%) https://eur-lex.europa.eu/legalcontent/EN/TXT/PDF/?uri=CELEX:52014DC0332&from=EN and is already taking measures in addressing this issue. Therefore we believe that it’s a burning issue at the moment and with this project we’d like to address the issue of stress among youth workers and focus on development of their well-being in order to address the quality of educational activities they organise. Furthermore, we would like to train youth workers on usage of stress-management tools in their work with young people in order to created a balanced learning environment for them and provide ready-to-use copying mechanisms for challenging life situations.Objectives:- to identify the stress factors which influence youth workers in partner countries - to equip participants with the theoretical knowledge on the nature of stress- to provide educators with the stress-management tools for personal everyday use (physical tools, art tools)- to learn how mindfulness can contribute to eliminating stress and learn about MBSR (mindfulness based stress reduction) techniques- to acquire concrete skills in time-management and learn how it can contribute to dealing with stress- to learn about stress-management tools which can be used in work with young people in order to address their study-related stress and develop their emotional intelligence- to train youth workers in using stress-management tools in youth work in different contexts- to share good practices in stress management in education and youth workThe project contributes to the following specific objectives of the Erasmus +: foster quality improvements in youth work, in particular through enhanced cooperation between organisations in the youth field and/or other stakeholders.<< Activities >>One activity will be implemented, which is a training course, 8 full working days, 21 participants involved. Participants will be coming from Russia, Slovakia, Poland, Malta, Estonia, Belarus and Ukraine, each national group will consist of 3 people. All participants are youth workers, who are working in this position for more than 2 years, facing difficulties with stress management and aiming to acquire skills of mindfulness, managing one's own stress and ability to concetrate and be fully involved into processes - thus avoiding burnout and leaving this work position, going into some other field.Criteria for selection:- Experience in youth work and active participation in the sending organization activities and work- Motivation to participate in 100% of the length of the TC- Shared expectations and clearly defined learning needs- Openness for and appreciation of non-formal learning process in highly diverse context- the deep need in stress-management tools due to demanding work conditions (cases of burn outs as well)- Motivation to explore the topic of stress management and address the issue of stress in work with the target groups- Commitment to go through the whole learning process, including responsibility for self-directed learning & learning outcomes, as well high level of motivation and discipline- Commitment to reflect on personal learning process and ability to critically assess learning outcomes- Commitment to follow up activities- Commitment to disseminate the project resultsAs a general approach we want youth workers first to experience stress management techniques and tools for themselves and then be able to adjust them for work with diverse youth groups active involvement of participants and recognition of their expertise and experience in certain topics, active sharing and participation in the discussions will ensure diversity and complexity of learning process. Moreover, as described in the programme of the activities we will try to valorise the experience of participants in everyday practices and encourage participants to contribute to facilitation of morning (yoga, sport) and evening practices (meditation). For permanent learning process awareness, trainers will organize daily reflection space groups where participants will share the most striking moments of the days, ask questions, write down important information, give and receive feedback. Moreover, during this particular course there will be enough space for self-reflection and self-exploration through daily rituals. Besides that, many of the tools offered will focus a lot on internal processes which are often underestimated. For group dynamics process that is found at such kind of activities a lot of emphasis should be put on the creation of a safe and friendly environment, providing the space and time for people to get-to-know each other personally and professionally in order for them to enter the intensive group learning process.<< Impact >>Participants of TC will gain knowledge on the nature of stress, causes and effects of stress in daily life and youth work, knowledge on the main factors producing stress as well as emotional and physical response to stress, knowledge on the local realities with stress-affected educators and stress-management in the local communities of partner countries involved in the project, knowledge on burn out as a extreme consequence of stress as well as symptoms of it. As a result of the project, their initiatives regarding to conflict handling, stress management and healthy lifestyle, as well as intercultural dialogue, including young people with fewer opportunities will be supported and hopefully further on - implemented.Capacity of youth workers to work and provide key tools for young people with fewer opportunities’ integration, intercultural dialogue and youth unemployment will be increased. Project will promote mental health and necessity to take care of one's own mind on a regular basis, just like brushing teeth or visiting necessary doctors which are dealing with physical health. Project will increase capacity of involved organizations and stakeholders to implement international mobilities and will open opportunity to do more E+ projects in Russia, since at the moment this destination is not popular at all.

Asociatia Generatia Schimbarii-AGES has proposed all activities carried out to create a framework for human resource development, development programs and the implementation of projects to promote and support education for all categories of people. We offer young people advice and training-courses accredited, but try and change the way they relate to career counseling at school, how to engage in having work experience. Most activities undertaken by us as Youngsters from schools, colleges and youth who are in the period of searching for a job. The problems identified in the organization related to career counseling in order to fill a job according to their own abilities, priorities overlapped with Erasmus + and was born the idea for this project. Project Be on your way! It proposes that for 11 days, 56 young people from Romania, Bulgaria, Italy, Lithuania, Spain, Turkey and Ukraine, aged 16 and 30 years to develop new skills related to career counseling using informal methods and non- formal. Representatives of partner organizations have agreed that each organization to participate as 8 young people - four females and four males, aged between 16 and 30 years, coordinated by a group leader, coming from a background defavorizat- economic, ethnic, geographic, from large families; identified on the basis of a survey conducted by the partner organizations in the project. Activities during working methods should be used informal and non-formal, such as presentation, game knowledge, debate, role-playing, simulation, teamwork, workshops, public café, living library, etc. It will follow the 8 key competences (which will be the basis Youthpass) -communication mother tongue -communication in foreign languages-English -basic competences in science and technology -digital competences -ability to learn -social and civic competences -initiative and entrepreneurship competences -conscience and cultural expression The project has the following objectives: 1. 80% increase knowledge related to career counseling for employment consistent with their skills for 56 young people aged 16-30, participants from Romania, Bulgaria, Italy, Lithuania, Spain, Turkey, Ukraine by participating in activities project during the 11zile; 2. 50% increase in the level of involvement in economic activities or volunteering among young people monitored over a period of 1 year, after completion of the project by increasing the skills associated with identifying and applying for a job and raising self-esteem among youth; 3. decrease by 3% next year from the project, dropout or a first job for young communities they belong to. The immediate impact on young people learned new things is satisfaction and increased self-esteem. All activities young people will be encouraged to discover. They will work in teams, will communicate and cooperate in fulfilling its proposed activities. Activities and methods chosen by promoters causes a gradual accumulation of information about deconstructing career, knowledge of English. Because teams will be mixed as nationality, gender, age, participants will be increasingly less inhibited in working with each other to communicate. Experience gained during the project will contribute to the personal development of each participant. Youthpass certificates to be issued to certify skills end and / or developed are based on self-assessment youth leaders evaluations and results of assessment tests - initial and final. Long-term impact is bound to multiply knowledge in organizations from which young. As I said, each partner organization in the project will be organized in the months June to August 2018 workshop activities with the theme of the project. In these young participants to exchange activities will serve to share knowledge gained using the methods used during the project, focusing on non-formal methods - youth organizations they belong to, friends, colleagues, family. We estimate that each organization can go directly to 200 young people, thus having a target group of 1400 young people aged 16-30 years, boys and girls alike. All activities contribute to capacity development of the young participants, young target group dissemination, and increase partner organizations regarding the competencies of members, coordinating project teams. On the other hand increase the visibility of European programs, such as Erasmus +.
