Multiple ways are needed to deal with organ donation programs, in addition to social awareness, media campaigns, religion, ethics and legislative changes, the training of professionals in the field of organ donation is vital for the success of the organ donation programs. The main purpose of the project is Empowering volunteers´ skills through working in Organ donation, increasing the employability of young people, improving their professional and personal skills, and raising awareness among them about the topics of the organ donation. The main activitys of the project are focused on the preparation and implementation of cooperation projects, training courses (on-line and face-to-face) and awareness events related to organ donation. Volunteers will learn the formal and non-formal techniques and methodology to manage and coordinate their volunteer’s activities. In addition, the project aims to support volunteers in the acquisition of skills, knowledge, and attitudes in order to improve their personal development and their future entry into the health care labour market. Likewise, the project will improve also their competence in foreign languages - Spanish and / or Catalan The beneficiaries of this project are two volunteers from Poland and one from Germany. They are young people (18-30 years old), motivated and interested in the Healthcare field and especially Organ donation. We believe that in the end of the EVS, volunteers will not only have acquired the necessary skills to obtain jobs according to their personal interests but will also continue transferring knowledge related with Organ donation, through the organization of events, information sessions, meetings, formal and non-formal workshops. Secondly, the overall impact of the project will basically significant increasement in the number of organ donors and professionals trained in the Healthcare field at the local, regional, national, European and international levels.

China the 2nd largest country in the world is facing the challenge of establishing an ethical and sustainable system of organ donation. The donation rate (PMP) was 2.02 in 2015, which is far behind when comparing with most of the countries in the world. Training for medical professionals is an effective approach to increase donation rate in China. Unfortunately, this work in training is far away from enough. Therefore; University of Barcelona, University of Bologna and University of Nice together with DTI-Foundation initiate KeTLOD project to fill-in the gap of the training lack in the Chinese universities on organ donation. This initiative is based on European great experience in donation activity and on the training of more than 10.000 health care professionals trained form the University of Barcelona through the Transplant Procurement Program since 1991 in this field.KeTLOD project will facilitate the design of a postgraduate program in organ donation field, for the Chinese health care professionals’ customized to their needs that will be implemented in 7 Universities. The KeTLOD curriculum is conceived as blended training program, in accordance with European Space for Higher Education guidelines and will offer knowledge and experience in clinical approach, management and dissemination strategies in Organ Donation. KeTLOD consist in a 625 hours program that will lead to 25 ETCS.KeTLOD will empower professional competences; enhance the detection and referral of potential donors and encourage a positive attitude towards donation in the society. KeTLOD; customized to the Chinese health professional needs, translated in Chinese language and shaped as blended training course, implemented in 7 crucial universities in terms of educational background and capacity and their geographical position will be a great

Organ transplantation (tx) is the only treatment with long term perspectives for patients who suffer from end stage organ failure (ESOF), induced mostly by CD. Asia has the lowest rate of organ tx and the greatest growth rate of people entering chronic and ESOF. A recent analysis shows that education is one of the drivers to improve the number of well-trained specialists, and thus the delivery of care to patients with ESOF. ODISSeA proposes suitably adapted and accredited postgraduate curricula in organ donation for specialists. The program will start with a preliminary Training for trainers’ program for future local trainers to ensure the efficient implementation of the postgraduate program in their universities during and after the project lifecycle. Together with a pool of 40 future students and EU experts they will design, validate and develop the Postgraduate Training Program in Organ Donation (30 ECTS) based on a student centred lifelong learning strategy. The program will include face to face and online components, on three levels of difficulty, from level 1 (basics/awareness) consisting of multimedia educational capsules, motion graphics & storytelling, to level 2 (medium), with webinars to boost debates and engage participants, and finally, level 3 (advanced/high), where participants will be encouraged to continue with in-depth online interactive modules (self-training) and local seminars.On-the-job improvement projects will help them apply the knowledge & skills acquired to their professional contexts and propose improving plans with measurable outcomes. The project will involve different stakeholders to maximize impact on HEI systems in SEA, on direct program beneficiaries: 40 trainers, 280 students, 400 attendees in the informative events as well as indirect ones: patients, work peers, hospitals, organ donation systems, with the ultimate goal of improving the delivery of care to patients
