We started our Erasmus+ programme in 2015, the school applied for a KA102 proposal addressed to students and teachers from our school. Our students were planned to do a training period in a European company in order to finish the FCT (Training in Work Placement) and our teachers a Job Shadowing in a european school or company. The results were so good that the school decided to continue this european experience in 2016, in consequence we applied for 5 students mobilities for a training period in companies and 2 teacher mobilities for job shadowing. This project was useful to incresase our european network and consolidate the european programme in our academic curriculum. One of our main goals was to encourage a second language learning.Five students were selected to do a training period in companies from Palermo (Italy) and Portmouth (UK), their professional families were Carpentry and Electricity. The teacher did a job shadowing in Palermo where he had tha chance to know the working process in the carpentry field. This project has impacted in our school and students who are aware of the importance to be trained in other country, the importance to have competence in a second language and the cultural enrichment after this experience. All our students feel more able and capable to live and work in Europe.

Our center, the IES Virgen de la Esperanza, located in La Línea de la Concepción (Cádiz) is a state-funded school that offers mobility placements in other European countries making our VET courses more attractive for prospective students. It also provides extra motivation that helps our students be successful. This time, five students out of our VET students have finally made their training period in companies in the UK and Italy. The professional sectors have been related to Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Installations and Welding and Boilermaking Processes. That´s more, we have planned anothet VET mobility last March but we were obliged to cancel it due to the pandemis COVID19.Two VET teachers have also been granted with Job Shadowing mobilities. They have established networks in innovative projects and started the internationalization strategy of the school. They have visited a counterpart school in Italy. This experience has let our participants learn new work methods, thus enriching their personal and professional experience. It has also increased their language skills and allowed them to know other labor policies from different EU countries. In this sense, we could confirm that these formation mobilities have supported the students to improve their professional, social and intercultural capacities as well as their possibilities to be employed. In the case of staff mobilities, they have participated in this programme developing their activities also in Italy, where they got in contact with another culture and observed different teaching systems. At the same time, they could encourage their colleagues to participate in next Erasmus experiences we could organize. The outcomes we are obtaining are being positive results: - Improvement of our teaching/learning process. - European dimension and vision to our educational community. - Creation of closer ties between academic world and labor market. - Qualifications acknowledged at a European level.- More student interest towards VET formation. - Awareness of our cultural and linguistic diversity. However, we find it relevant to mention the European network enriching partners we are creating thanks to the programme and the joint effort between our school and host companies.

"VET towards ECVET covers the consideration of ECVET in trainings related to tourism. We notably focus on 2 sectors : hotel receptionist and seller in touristic areas. This project involves French, Northern Irish, German, Portuguese and Italian partners to implement a certifying mobility of 45 days in order to validate learning units of the professional titles ""Seller in touristic areas"" and of ""Hotel receptionist"". The project meets the needs in both sectors to prove mastery of a foreign language and cross-cultural approach to customer service. In 2009, the European Parliament and the Council recommended that member states ""create the necessary conditions and adopt measures so that, as from 2012 [...], it is possible for ECVET to be gradually applied to VET qualifications at all levels of the EQF, and used for the purpose of the transfer, recognition and accumulation of individuals' learning outcomes achieved in formal and, where appropriate, non-formal and informal contexts"" (cf. http://eur-lex.europa.eu/LexUriServ/LexUriServ.do?uri=OJ:C:2009:155:0011:0018:EN:PDF)The target audience consists of people in VET, unemployed or low level qualifications, seeking to maximize their employment opportunities in the tourism sector. Participants will do a 45-day professional internship in one of our partner countries. This period spent abroad will be certified in the learning of the ECVET system defined in advance with our European partners through units.Developing an ECVET project for VET providers with agreed learning outcomes and assessment criteria allows all stakeholders to see the development of professional competences and transversal skills which takes place during the mobility and training period. This gives an added value to the Mobility. Tools are developed, modified and agreed upon which suit the individual learning needs of the participant - they are put at the centre of the mobility. Such a project also helps focus the efforts of the host companies and the participants providing a more meaningful placement with tasks that would help develop the skills required by the sending companies. It creates a win-win situation for all. With quality mobilities being offered we hope that more participants from across Europe in the field of sales and tourism would elect to take a mobility abroad within the partnership and if the project aims and tools created were adopted by other sending and hosting companies and VET provideres then there is an even greater potential that the number of Mobilities in Europe would increase."

The CEDER+ project is aimed at 3 main target audiences (according to the changes set in the framework of Erasmus+):- EFP learners (Education and Professional Training) who come from the AFEC branches and who undergo a training in the fields of hospitality, restaurant industry, tourism, sales and caretaking. This target group is facing issues with professional integration and is undergoing a vocational training to obtain a qualification through our AFEC branches. The aim is to render this audience more competitive thanks to mobility projects.- Recent graduates who were awarded their diploma less than a year ago and who are facing problems entering the labour market and who, thus, would like to internationalize their profiles and their professional careers.- AFEC staff, especially trainers, who have to try out the mobility in order to be the intermediaries with the trainees who wish to take advantage of it.At the end of the project we used 62 grants for the learners and 4 for the staff. Two interns did their mobilities from January 2016 to April 2016, twelve participants left on September 2016 for 3 months. All the others did their mobilities in 2017. We had mobilities of 3 months, 2 months, 1 month and 3 weeks. Our participants were received by AFEC Europe's partners working as qualified intermediary organisations, located in different European countries: United Kingdom, Ireland, Malta, Czech Republic, Lithuania, Germany, Portugal, the Netherlands.
